【MUKBANG】 Pickled Plums THE BEST!! 1 Huge Japanese Flag Bowl + Miso Soup! 5Kg, 5455kcal [Use CC] - Duration: 6:19.

Hello it's Kinoshita Yuka ( English subtitles By ~Aphexx~ )

So today tadaa! these are.... umeboshi (pickled plum)

These are the Pickled plums that I usually buy

I love him so much that From December I've eaten 6 kg of this stuff

I always buy mine from Amazon I've bought so much that I'm shook

6kg huh..... wow

well...... It's not like I'm eating it all in one day

Well anyways I just wanted to show you guys How yummy these umeboshi are

I'm pretty sure if you're one of my Japanese viewers You'll know how this tastes

I'm not really making or cooking much today

alrighty lets get goin'

prep the white rice its rice Y'all

To make things sit easier lets form a pit here

These pickled plums fall apart rather easily

And now it's time for my love <3

Just looking at it makes you drool away

Just from the sight of one I could easily eat a bunch of rice

Start arranging them

I'm pretty sure a lot of you know what is going down

I started eating from this bag already So let's crack open another

K, this is about done

tadaa its done

It's Japanese flag You usually see these called rising sun bento

ジャパン フラック

And yes, I realize there is a stigma attached to these ~when you ain't got nothing else to eat~

you just toss a plum onto rice and call it a rising sun bento

~well this is for those cases you don't have anything else to eat...~

and well... I don't have anything else prepped to eat with it... I just got this miso soup here

BUT!!!!! I absolutely love these

I'm always like ~SWEET! rising sun bento... heck yeah~

So today we have a Rising Sun Bento Made with 10 cups of rice

this rising sun lunch itadakimasu

I also made a plum tea in this

Break open one of the plums

~ahhh dis gonna be yummy

this is honey plum Some people might not be a fan of this sweet flavor

I totes love the flavor of Honey plum And I think it's the bee's knees with a bunch of rice

And I've never eaten 10 cups of rice In this manner.... I wonder if I'll be able to finish it all?

I also have one kilogram of miso soup

(be a superfan and share Yuka's vids on all your socials.... smash that like button)

And I love this plum 'kobucha' tea as well I also usually add an extra pickled plum to this as well

This tea has such a salty taste And Plum goes nicely with it

I prefer this to a regular 'kombucha'

but then again 'kombucha' is handy to have as an ingredient for some dishes

We're roughly halfway through

these pickled plums and rice are so yummy I don't think I get tired of it this early

I realize I just said I wouldn't get tired of this flavor But I'm starting to Crave some raw egg or kimchi or fish eggs

But I'm totes happy with just the pickled plums

ran out Time for some more

It's a tiny Rising Sun

Last mouthful itadakimasu

gochisosamadeshita

The Pickled Plum and rice was so yummy I feel so happy and fulfilled being able to eat pickled plum

Rice and these umeboshi are plenty yummy on their own

then again we did have this miso soup here today since this miso soup is a soup and not an entree

lets just leave that out of the equation

umeboshi are so yummy I totes love them won't you all give them a try

And as always thank you for watching if there's anything you Want me to do or eat please tell me in the comment section

Volvo Trucks - Automation – The big change - Duration: 4:01.

We have three main challenges going forward.

People will live more and more in the cities,

which will lead to congestion, pollution,

and the need for transport will be even higher than today.

Second is road safety, and finally climate change.

I really believe that automation will be one of the main contributors

to solving the challenges we face.

What is automation?

The first thing people think of is a self-driving truck,

but that is not necessarily the case.

We are developing solutions for the driver.

We are developing solutions that will be able to take over tasks from the driver,

as well as solutions to have self-driving trucks.

For us, it's important that all of these solutions

are within the frame of automation.

As a cognitive scientist, I want to understand

how the driver takes on this complex task.

We are running several automation projects today,

spanning from the deepest mine, transport on highways

to a garbage truck in the city.

For us, it's important that as many as possible gain from this technology,

and not only the companies and industries

but also individual citizens and the drivers driving our trucks.

We've been running tests for years,

collecting and analysing a huge amount of data,

covering every scenario we could think of.

We will never release anything that we do not trust.

So when you meet our automated trucks on the road, I want you to feel safe.

We have come up with dozens of innovations,

but it is sometimes the craziest idea that will be the most successful.

Whatever we develop must serve a purpose

for the drivers, our customers and society.

It would be so much easier if I wasn't constantly running from place to place,

and that's what I feel I'm doing.

Whenever I'm in a meeting, I have one eye on the clock.

I'm adding an extra 20 minutes for traffic,

just in case I don't make it back for that school run and my child is left.

So that's a very real worry.

Transportation is really the lifeblood, the pulse,

for business and the people,

and I believe that in the near future

we will start to see self-driving trucks on our roads

transporting goods and starting to become a part of our society.

I foresee that different hubs, it can be a city to another city,

will be connected and we will have autonomous vehicles

most probably in dedicated lanes at nighttime.

In the city centres, in urban areas, we will have smaller, quiet vehicles,

and through that we will create a future transport ecosystem

where everything will be connected.

It's exciting to know that that sort of technology is on the horizon,

that we are going to have driverless safer vehicles,

we're going to have cleaner, more efficient vehicles.

What does it take to trust the next step in technology?

I think we need faith.

We're having drones. We have far more automated machinery.

We're going to start seeing that sort of innovation in all sorts of areas.

So I think we just need to be brave enough to accept the next step.

Volvo Trucks - Automation – Driving into the future - Duration: 3:48.

The day I fell in love with this job was the day I was born.

I grew up with trucks. They have ruled my life since I was a child.

It's very difficult driving such a big vehicle through heavy traffic.

You have to keep your eyes everywhere.

It would be helpful to have another hundred eyes.

If we have a system that could actually help out the driver

or take over the driving task for a part of that journey,

I think that could be a real benefit.

We are developing supporting solutions for the driver.

We are developing solutions that will be able to take over tasks from the driver

as well as solutions to have self-driving trucks.

For us, it's important that all of these solutions

are within the frame of automation.

Why automation?

Automation will improve productivity and road safety.

It will optimise traffic management, route planning, less wear and tear.

It will help us to get more energy-efficient solutions.

It will be less start-and-stop acceleration.

And with solutions like platooning,

we will be able to decrease the fuel consumption.

Automation is not about killing jobs.

There will be still be a need for skilled drivers in the future.

As the world population continues to grow, so does the need for transport.

Automation is about making things more efficient.

Many drivers will see their role change or develop,

while others will continue just as usual.

We can see in more complex driving situations,

the driver makes judgement calls and the system does not,

so we will need the driver and their knowledge for a long time,

and today we focus a lot

on how to support the driver in different situations.

I think automation is around us all of the time.

When it comes to driving trucks,

it would be nice for a truck to be able to drive on its own

on a long-haul distance.

I would be able to fix my delivery notes or just take my rest time

where the truck was able to drive itself,

so I could get home earlier.

We've been running tests for years,

collecting and analysing a huge amount of data,

covering every scenario we could think of.

In a virtual environment it's safe to test difficult driving situations

without any risks for the driver or the vehicle,

so it's a really good opportunity for us to test new systems

and also visualise new concepts before we build them physically.

I feel I'm part of something big.

I have never been driven by technology development as such

but rather what it could be used for

and how we could enhance and make a better environment for the driver.

I'm not frightened when I look into the future.

Without us truck drivers,

the goods won't be delivered where they have to be.

We are a big part of the transport chain.

24 Books You Really Should Read - Duration: 12:44.

Welcome to Read This or Die! Today we are filming a special video in Little India in Singapore to present to you 24 books that we think you should read.

These 24 books are divided into two lists of 12 books each. The first list is ideally addressed to youth.

The second list ideally is addressed to adults. But of course you can read them in any order you want, whenever you want.

So lets proceed with the first list of twelve books addressed ideally to young readers.

The first book is 'I am a cat' by Natsume Soseki. This Japanese author used a very advanced technique back then.

In English this technique is called 'ostranenie', which is a Russian word - thats technical English.

The plain English would be 'defamiliarisation'. Do you know what it is about? - You should read the book.

The second book is 'Frankenstein' by Mary shelley.

Thats too much of a classic that we are not going to review it in a normal video on YouTube.

So... I'm sure that you have seen many movies about Frankenstein - just go ahead and read the book.

Number three is 'Gulliver's Travels' by Jonathan Swift.

This book is very important because it connects you to an ancient Greek philosopher,

a very well-known philosopher who was called Protagoras.

So you should find out who Protagoras was and why its related to this book - its something very interesting to find out.

Number four is 'The Time Machine' by H. G. Wells.

This book is a true masterpiece, a mind-bending masterpiece of the history of literature - science fiction literature.

There are several movies - they are more or less good, but not exactly very accurate sometimes. So thats one more reason to read the book.

The fifth book is 'Flowers for Algernon' by Daniel Keyes.

This is a very important book under a linguistic point of view, for science fiction specifically.

So you should read it, not only because of that, but also because it suffered attempts of censorship.

So yeah, its a good idea to go through it and see whats going on.

The next book is 'Planet of the Apes' by Pierre Boulle.

This is the French top science fiction classic. So if you don't read French, you just need to read a translation...

I guess all of them are pretty good - the one I read in English published by 'Vintage' is very good.

And... again, its quite different from the movies that you might have seen - all the movies. So just read the book.

Next book is 'Heart of Darkness' by Joseph Conrad.

You know the movie 'Apocalypse Now'? Well it was based , more or less on this book.

So... it doesn't matter whether you enjoyed the movie or not but you should definitely read the book if you haven't yet.

Now, next one. This is 'Fahrenheit 451' by Ray Bradbury.

You know what's going on in the book? Well you have firemen but the firemen are not quite firemen because they burn books.

Why? Well, read it and you'll see whats going on.

The ninth book is 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley.

In this book, classic of science fiction, people are not born anymore - they are made.

Next book - tenth: 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' by George Orwell.

Its just a nightmare, I can't describe it. Its a nightmare and you have to read the nightmare to understand. That's it. There's nothing else.

So... you still want the mangoes?

Alright, the last two books of this first list:

Eleven, this is 'Crime and Punishment' by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

What to say about 'Crime and Punishment'?.... Its one of the most important works in the whole history of literature.

We could summarise it by saying its about moral responsibility, but also much more - you have to enhance that concept...

So again, go ahead and read it.

Now the last one. The last one is 'Don Quixote' by Cervantes.

THE Spanish classic written centuries ago, its a book...

Well, Cervantes lived in the same period as Shakespeare

so Cervantes is for the Spanish language what Shakespeare is for the English language

So they just changed the history of....

the language itself...so they recreated the whole language

and we are still living from them, from their legacy.

Alright, so lets go with the second list - 12 more books.

First one: 'Werther' by Goethe - extraordinary German classic.

How to put it? Goethe created the idea of romantic love - the romantic love we know nowadays.

And due to that idea some people commited suicide - they killed themselves after reading the book.

So read it but don't kill yourself.

Now, next book: 'Sense and Sensibility' by Jane Austen.

Ultra-classic but some people say now that its chick lit from 200 years ago

Well for us, that's not chick lit. We cannot reduce it to that category. Its more than that. Its an astonishing classic that you should read.

Alright, next two books. First, 'Resurrection' by Tolstoy, a Russian classic.

But when we think of Tolstoy, we always think of 'Anna Karenina' or 'War and Peace'.

So what are we going to do now? We're going to read 'Resurrection', a pretty different book.

Now, the other one, this is D. H. Lawrence. He wrote 'Lady Chatterley's Lover'

So whats the fuss with this book? It was censored back then, it was scandalous.

Well...haha, just think about, in those times, using the word F-U-C-K, which we know as 'fuck'...

Well, you couldn't use it back then - that was one of the main issues, THE scandal.

Fifth book - 'Lolita'. LO-LI-TA. Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov.

Extraordinary book, extraordinarily written. What is it about the word 'lolita'? Its just the dimunitive of a name but it changed meaning after the book.

Now the word 'lolita' always conveys... lets say a... dirty sense. So if you have not read the book and you want to know whats going on, please do.

Next one, 'A Clockwork Orange' by Anthony Burgess.

Probably you have seen the movie, the movie by Kubrick which was forbidden for several years, at least in the UK.

Well the book is equally disturbing, a masterpiece developed through a new language called 'Natsec'.

Go ahead, please read it. And um... lets get something to eat?

So we wanted to eat at this restaurant, an old place of ours, but it seems its not operating anymore.

So lets move to the books.

Next one: 'Lord of the Flies' by William Golding.

Its a very particular book because it shows what bad children do to good children when nobody's watching, in an isolated place.

Specifically in an island - they are lost in an island.

The other book, its 'The Bridge on the Drina' by Ivo Andric.

The author received the Nobel Prize for Literature so this book can be considered a historical novel set in the Balkans.

But its not another, a new historical novel explaining the same thing over again. No, its very special. It covers two or three centuries and its very distressing in some points.

So that's it... and now, dude, I think we should go back to the other place...?

The ninth novel is 'The Forty Days of Musa Dagh' by Franz Werfel.

Its a tough novel about the Armenian genocide under the Ottoman Empire.

So... based on actual events, of course. Be ready for what you will find inside if you wish to go through it.

Next one: 'Hopscotch' by Julio Cortazar, the Argentinian extraordinary writer;

who... well, this novel is called 'Hopscotch' because it can be read in different orders.

So you can change the order of the chapters - you don't need to go from one to two to three to four.

Its quite an experimental novel.

As you can see we've already eaten, so lets talk now about the last two books.

The first one is 'To the Lighthouse' by Virginia Woolf.

This is a modernist classic. Very difficult to understand, very difficult to read

because as the epitome of Modernism, as she was, this book collects an astonishing range of literary techniques...

that might prove confusing, a bit confusing. So you have to be patient when you read it.

The last one: 'Time of Desecration' by the Italian Alberto Moravia.

Its a wondrous book. Be careful with the adjective 'wondrous'...

to me it is wondrous but you have to understand that its a book that underwent censorship issues in Italy

due to its very brusque and explicit sexual references.

So you have to be ready for that. But if you feel comfortable with that, just go ahead and enjoy this absolute Italian masterpiece.

Well we've come to the end of the list. We hope you give an attempt to read the twenty-four books... or ten or twelve or sixteen

And see you next time in our next video on YouTube. Remember - just keep reading and don't die.
