Youtube daily Mar 25 2018

I'm ready to eat chocolate from New Zealand. - Yes! Yes, I am. You're not getting any. You're a bag.

Hey everyone, Dana here! - And Stefan. And today we're talking about New Zealand. - Why?

Why? Because our friends brought back some candy.

They went to New Zealand a couple of weeks ago, and when they came back they gave us

this little bag here. - Thank you! Yeah. Our friends made this bag. This bag is not from New Zealand.

They made that for us. Thank you so much. But yeah, they brought us back some chocolates.

And Stefan what did you say?

Instead of just eating the chocolates?

Yeah, I said let's make a video. - Yeah. - But you said.

I said this is just some chocolate from New Zealand and we don't know anything really

about this chocolate. But then I had the idea: oh! I know someone who might be able to help us out.

Recently I have been watching the videos from Rosie over on the Youtube channel Not Even French.

She's from New Zealand, but she lives now in France.

And I've really been enjoying her videos.

And so I reached out to her and asked if maybe she could tell us a little bit about the chocolates

that we have. And she agreed.

So we're doing a collaboration with her, and I'm excited to find out what she has to say

about the chocolates before we eat them.

But so, why did you come up with the idea to make this video on camera?

What's special to you about New Zealand?

Yeah, all I wanted since I can remember, I want to go to New Zealand for a trip.

Right when we met I asked you: if you could go anywhere in the world, where would you want to go?

And he was like... - New Zealand. Maybe because it's on the other side of the world.

Or because it has a really awesome landscape. - I remember your answer of why.

I asked you why. Do you remember your answer?

Because, oh yeah, because you can go snowboarding in the morning and go swimming in the afternoon.

Exactly. That was your answer. - I don't even know if it's true but... - That's what you came up with.

I didn't really know just how gorgeous it was until I started watching Not Even French's

videos, and then she has done some vlogging in New Zealand.

And I was like wow! - So when are we going? - Yeah, it's a really long flight, though.

So, should we try the candy? - Yes, I think we should definitely try it.

Salut YouTube. It's Rosie here from the YouTube channel Not Even French.

I'm a Kiwi living in Paris.

And today I'm here to help Dana and Stefan understand a little bit more about the Kiwi

treats that they're eating all the way from New Zealand.

I have to admit I'm kind of glad I'm here in Paris and not with you guys right now in person

because otherwise I would have major food envy.

We would share though. Our first chocolate is... - Peanut Slab.

Ah, the classic New Zealand Peanut Slab by Whittaker's.

Okay, so firstly Whittaker's is a New Zealand chocolate company so it's already the most

adored chocolate company in the whole country.

And then Peanut Slab, I would say, is their star product.

So as you can imagine the favorite chocolate bar from New Zealand's favorite chocolate

company pretty much makes the Peanut Slab New Zealand's favorite chocolate bar.

I think because it is so chunky and you know full of big chunky nuts.

It has quite a manly appearance, a manly feel to it.

And so it's really loved by Kiwi blokes.

So you often see the Peanut Slab getting whipped out at afternoon tea time on building sites,

manufacturing sites, etc.

It's definitely a classic afternoon tea break snack.

So apparently manly and... - It's heavy. - Yeah, it's heavy.

Apparently New Zealand's favorite chocolate bar.

I'm excited to see what we say to the favorite one. Can you open it?

No. Can I use my teeth? - You go ahead and be manly and use your teeth.

Can't even get that open...maybe it needs a woman's touch. - Yes. - You got it all wet!

Oh, it looks really good!

Ah, it looks really, yeah, just - You go first - massive.

Uh-huh. - I would say good solid chocolate. Nice peanuts. Not too salty.

No perfect. It gets 6 kiwis out of 6.

But wait, um, people from New Zealand are called Kiwis.

Then you have the kiwi the bird, and then you have the kiwi the fruit.

So what drawing am I going to make?

Am I going to make a person, the fruit or the bird? - The fruit. The fruit. - Not the bird? - No.

The fruit? - Uh-huh - It's just going to be a brown circle. A brown oval. - Make the cut open one.

Oh I'm going to make a cut open kiwi. Okay.

The next chocolate is called Picnic. - Picnic. - And it's from Cadbury.

The Picnic, what an absolute family favorite in New Zealand.

Yet again it's another nut and chocolate based bar.

We really do like smashing those two together, don't we?

The Picnic is just quite simply a classic, a household favorite, and whenever you're

sharing a variety box of chocolates, you know when you've got a selection of lots of different

flavors, the Picnic is always the first to go in any household.

See if I can open it this time. - Uh-huh. - There we go.

Let me. Oh, come on! - I know that taste. - I understand why that's first to go. That's really good.

In Germany there's something similar. - What? - A Lion. - I don't think I've even seen that.

This is great with the wafer. - Yeah. - The wafer really makes this.

That gets for me two American thumbs up again. But you're rating kiwis. - 5.5 kiwis out of 6.

The chocolate is a little bit too sweet for me.

Caramello.

Oh! Caramello! My favorite. Okay, so Cadbury itself is a UK based chocolate company.

But don't be fooled.

I went to London myself in search of Cadbury Caramello and what I ended up finding was

this Cadbury Caramel.

Which is obviously way less fun.

Anyway, I cracked into the chocolate block, and I can confirm 100% the recipes do not

taste the same.

New Zealand Caramello is a lot sweeter and a lot gooeyer.

So if you want the real deal, you're going to have to go all the way to New Zealand.

The similar product in the UK was not the same. - We know about that. - We know about that.

We made a video about that with things from the U.S. - It's linked up there.

I thought it was on this side. - No, it's this side. - The I is on this side? - Yes. - Are you sure?

No, the I is on this side. - I got it! - It's complicated, it's complicated.

And every time that he's on the other side of the camera and I struggle with it.

It's super simple, Dana! The I is there. - He says that to me. - I said the whole time the I is there.

Okay so she said this is her favorite. So I'm excited. Let's try it. Cheers! - Cheers.

See difference. Eating whole. But look, now you can see the caramel really can just ooze right out.

Oh my gosh that really good caramel.

It's too sweet for you. - Uh-huh. - It's the right amount of sweet for me. - It's really sweet. - It's really sweet.

It gets 5 out of 6 kiwis.

Just a side note, I would say that in general New Zealander's favorite flavors do tend to be caramel

and chocolate or nuts and chocolate.

Those are huge in New Zealand.

Maybe with a third runner up of mint chocolate.

Last chocolate! - I wanted to do it. I want to say it. Last chocolate. - Oh okay.

Last chocolate! Marvelous Creations.

Yeah, I'm really curious about this one.

Welcome to the world of Marvelous Creations.

New Zealanders definitely have a thing with smashing some really random things together

and making a chocolate bar out of it.

We've got corn flakes and chocolate; ice cream flavors and chocolate; give us anything, jelly

beans, kiwi fruit, we'll smash it together, we'll make a chocolate bar out of it.

And the Marvelous Creations definitely speaks to this.

The Marvelous Creations range is really about putting random sweets, lollies, candies, whatever

you want to call them, surprising flavors, things that crackle, pop, things that are

sour, for example, and putting them into a chocolate bar.

You know, in New Zealand there's currently a rumor that we may even bring out Marmite chocolate.

How gross would that be?

Anyways, this bar is just yet another attempt of kind of putting some random things together,

and it kind of working.

Two things, two things before we launch into this.

Number one: did she say ice cream flavored chocolate? - Uh-huh. - New Zealand!

Number two: I've heard of Marmite.

I have never had it.

Do you know what it is?

It's, people try it on YouTube all the time. There's so many... - It's something to spread.

It's something to spread and people try it on YouTube all the time.

I've never had it. - No. - Back to the regularly scheduled content. - I'm so excited to try this.

No way! Look! Look! There's already something...

What?

There's chewing gum or something. - Why would there be chewing gum in chocolate? - Oh, jelly bean.

That's a jelly bean. It's not chewing gum. I'm going through all sorts of ups and downs.

Uh-huh. It's good, that works. - But...

You're prickling. But I didn't get any.

Yes, I hear it. I don't feel it either. Just hear it.

It's works. - I'm not as convinced as you are. - 6 out of 6 kiwis.

I really appreciate the creativity that went into that chocolate bar.

For me is was a little bit weird having chewy jelly beans in my chocolate.

No perfect. Perfect combination. - So you thought it was perfect. - 6 out of 6.

Yay! - Thank you so much to our friends who brought back these chocolates for us.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. And thank you so much to Rosie - Thank you. - from

Not Even French.

We also sent Rosie some sweets, some chocolates, candies from Germany and sent her some clips

where we explained a little bit about what they are.

So you can head on over to her channel Not Even French.

I'll put links down below.

And check that video out as well.

Yeah, I'm really excited that we did this little collaboration together. That was cool.

So our question for you is: Have you ever tried any snacks from New Zealand?

What should we do when we go to New Zealand?

I'm so excited. - Is there a country that you always wanted to go to but never had the chance to go to yet?

Yeah. Please let us know in the comments below. Thank you so much for watching.

Farouque Shaikh Google Doodle in India - Duration: 2:24.

Google has devoted its the present doodle to respect late Bollywood on-screen character

Farooque Shaikh on his 70th birth commemoration.

Conceived on this day in 1948, Shaikh's awkward demise at 65 years old on December 27, 2013,

has left a void in the Indian silver screen.

Farooque Shaikh experienced childhood in Mumbai, embarking to end up a legal advisor like his

dad.

He considered law at school and kept on fiddling with theater as an afterthought, and in the

end chose to give acting a go.

Shaikh got his first break in MS Sathyu's milestone film Garam Hava (1973), which tended

to the predicament of Muslims who had selected to remain back in the place that is known

for their ancestors and avoided Pakistan's one country - one religion hypothesis.

After that his other eminent exhibitions incorporate his key part in Satyajit Ray's Shatranj ke

Khiladi (1977) , his lead part in Gaman (1978) and different movies like Chashme Baddoor

(1981), Umrao Jaan (1981), Bazaar(1982) among others.

In the mid 2000s, Shaikh's capacity additionally found a stage on the little screen.

He showed up in the serials like Chamatkar and Ji Mantriji, the Indian interpretation

of the British parody Yes Minister.

He was additionally found in the syndicated program Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai in 2002 and

in its second season in 2006.

In a post clarifying the doodle, Google expressed, "The present Doodle by Nimit Malavia is a

tribute to Farouque Shaikh's true to life vocation in a style suggestive of hand-painted

motion picture publications of the 1970s, and particularly Umrao Jaan.

We see the wide-looked at sentimental saint of the 1970's develop into an encouragingly

well-known TV nearness of the 1990's, crossing over any barrier amongst standard and arthouse

film in India en route."

Farooque Shaikh passed on of a heart assault in Dubai at 65 years old on December 28, 2013.The

performing artist who once said that he doesn't wish to be recalled, "Everybody comes into

and goes from this world.." has deserted a rich heritage of his work that makes him extraordinary.

Basics of electronics - Current | Potential difference | Resistance - Duration: 7:51.

Hi everyone this is Siddharth and thank you so much for watching

the diligent educator. So finally we are here with our first educational video and the topic

for today is the basics of electronics so before starting with the main topic

of electronics let me just give you a brief idea about atoms. So every material,

every substance existing in our nature is made up of small indivisible

particles called as atoms. Now, every atom is made up of subatomic particles which

are protons, neutrons and electrons. Now the topic of interest for today is

electrons. So electrons which are present in every substance are negatively charged

so they are a charged body and they have negative charge on them. We in today's

topic will talk about electric current so let's just try to break the word

electric - current. As we all know the word current means flow like you must have

heard about water currents that is when water flows so this is electric current

so what is gonna flow over here is electrons. So is it like the electrons

can flow in any random direction and we will call it as electric

current? No, you will need a unidirectional flow... you will need a

unidirectional flow to call it as electric current so how does that happen? Let's see

Consider this as a conductor. Now in a conductor as I told you, it will be filled with atoms we talk about atoms afterwards but for now our

interest is in the electrons. These are electrons the electrons are always in

the state of random motions all the electrons they are running here and

there in the conductor now since they are in the state of random motion

there equivalent or net electricity electric current produced because of

them is zero but if I apply, now this is very important thing over here, if I

apply an energy source I am talking about a cell over here if I apply a cell

over here all these electrons they will start flowing in one direction, now you

tell me electrons are negatively charged and

this is the positive terminal this is a negative terminal of a cell

what you see over here is a symbol of cell. We'll talk about the symbols in some

time but this is a cell this is the positive terminal this is a negative

terminal and electrons as I said is negative in charge now as we all know

that opposite charges attract each other so these negative electrons will be

attracted towards a terminal that is connected to the positive terminal of

the battery or the cell so all these electrons they will start flowing from

the right to the left direction. Now since all the electrons are flowing in

one direction in uni direction this will constitute to electric current.

so let's talk about the direction of electric current now you can clearly see over

here the direction of electric current is going in this way which is the anti

clockwise direction but the direction of conventional current is always assumed

to be going from the positive terminal of the battery to the negative terminal

if I have to draw the direction of conventional current which we will

always draw in the circuit diagram it will always be from the positive

terminal to the negative terminal of the cell or the battery by the way battery is

nothing but a series combination of cells okay so let's go ahead - the

substance that allows the flow of electricity through itself is called

as a conductor or as we all know good conductor and the substance that do not

allow the flow of electricity through itself is called as a bad conductor or

more appropriately it is called as an insulator, So examples of conductor would

be any metals like iron, copper, aluminium and examples of nonmetals

will go under the insulators which would be rubber, plastic etc so that

brings us to a very interesting question why are the wires in our houses coated

with the rubber or plastic? so the reason is quite obvious over here

because the wires inside which are made up of metals a good conductor they are

going to carry electricity and the coating which is done of insulator

is because if we touch that particular wire we should not get a

fatal shock. Having said that, electric current is

denoted by capital I and the unit of electric current, to measure we always

need a unit every physical quantity, so to measure

electric current we use the unit ampere which is denoted as capital A.

What we understand over here is that the electrons which were earlier in random

state of motion are now flowing in some particular direction in a uni direction

right? And that is because there is some energy which is given to the circuit or

the conductor in this case by this battery and this energy which is given

by this cell is called as the potential difference and this potential difference

is denoted by alphabet V and the units is volts so we have understood that

current is denoted by capital I units is ampere and potential difference is

denoted by V and the unit is volts. Now let's talk about another very important

parameter which comes into the picture when we talk about the basics and that

is resistance. Now resistance as the word says means opposition

opposition to what? opposition to the flow of electrons. Now the electrons

which are flowing in the conductor which constitutes to the current electricity

or electric current what exactly is opposing the flow if you remember I told

you every conductor is made up of atoms, now atoms which are quite big in size

compared to the electrons. When the electrons are flowing in the conductor

they hit the atoms and while they are flowing when they hit that particular

parameter of the conductor is called a the resistance or the opposition. Now

this resistance is denoted by capital R and it has a unit now look at this the

denotation of the unit it is denoted by a Greek alphabet called as Omega. The unit

is called ohms so ohm is the unit but is denoted

by Greek alphabet is the capital Omega which we are using over here for the

denotation of resistance now it is quite clear from this particular thing that

good conductors will have low resistance and insulators are going to have very

high resistance. A small analogy which I can give you which will help

understand resistance very well because we are going to take over this

particular topic in our further videos as well

suppose you are travelling on a bridge - a railway bridge, you're crossing it

you are walking over a bridge and there is lot of crowd there

are many people standing over here and you saw your train is just arriving on

the platform you start to run now when you are running obviously you know

everyone will not give you the way - you will be dashing with people you will be

pushing them they will be pushing you so what you are experiencing is the

opposition - same way what the electron is experiencing is the

opposition which in electronics terms will be called as resistance. Now so far

and so forth we have talked about current(I), potential difference (V) and

resistance (R); all these three parameters are closely related to each

other and there is a law which relates them together called as Ohm's Law so we

talked about Ohm's law in our next video. Thank you so much for watching the video

do like, comment, share and subscribe to my channel and let your friends know

about this channel which I have started. Thank you so much.. !
