In this video I'm going to be showing you free apps that you can use on your
iPhone or your Android device to create content for Instagram TV
Hello! Welcome so welcome to my little corner on the Internet
in this video I'm going to be piggybacking off of my last Instagram TV video
And sharing with you guys free apps that you can use to create
content for your Instagram TV channel.
These apps are available for iOS devices and for Android devices.
In that video which you can check out here. I ran through the type of content you can create for Instagram TV
But if you're new here my name is Lateefah, some people call me 'Teefah
And my channel is a mishmash of things I do skincare, beauty reviews which I haven't done in a while.
I do love a new destination VLOGs, I do Lagos VLOGs which is where I live, Lagos, Nigeria.
And I also do social media how to's, you know ways you can make money online, YouTube how to's sometimes, Instagram how to's
If my content sounds like the kind of thing that you could get into why don't you think about subscribing
After subscribing you need to hit that notification bell, just so never miss content for me again...ever.
So let's get into this video.
The thing about IGTV is it's a lot more raw than YouTube. YouTube is a lot more high production
IGTV because you're recording on your phone...
...You're allowed to be a lot more amature on there. However it doesn't mean you should throw crap content on there.
You want to be able to put out content that's appealing.
So you want to be able to cut clips, add music, add text, add transitions you know just things like that.
So I'm gonna be running through free apps, these apps are free.
Now there's paid apps that you can pay for but these apps are free because I know a lot of people are on the budget
This video is being running through free apps that you can use to edit your IGTV content .
The first one we're talking about is everyone's favorite which is InShot. InShot is pretty cool, it's pretty dope.
What I Like about InShot is if you have a square video, a different size of video...
... you change it to a 9 by 16 which is the Instagram TV spec.
With InShot as well you can crop, you can add music, you can trim your footage
although with InShot you can get tracks from your iTunes but it will not...
...let you stream music. It has to be downloaded music.
With all these apps you can't use streamed music it has to be downloaded music.
You can add filters, you can add effects. You know it's just pretty cool. The thing about InShot is at the bottom of the...
...screen you see an inshot watermark there, to take it out you have to pay for the pro version.
Although InShot let's you take it out once.
So to pay for it you have to pay $2.99 so you don't ever have to see that InShot watermark.
However what I have discovered is you can literally remove it once every time you edit and you never have to pay.
That's like one hack but that's not fair to the app developers. And yeah you can save and upload it to IGTV.
Another app that I really like is called Video Crop.
The thing like the most about Video Crop where I feel it's different from InShot....it has pretty much all the same features as well as InShot
So say you have a square video or landscape size video...
It lets you crop the video, and you can put the part of the video you want within crop that you specify.
That's the thing that stands out the most to me about video crop. That for me I feel is pretty cool.
You can literally repurpose another size of video
And just concentrate on the part you want to show in that 9 by 16 vertical aspect ratio
Similar to InShot it has the same filters...you can trim & cut depending what you want to do
To add music on Video crop unlike InShot you need to upgrade.
Another App is Video Show now this one is an all in one. it does a lot of things...my goodness.
It let's you have like a video cover, like a thumbnail.
So it's the only free app that I've discovered that lets you do this...
...you can record straight from the app from super camera look at that.
This is my favorite one because this one lets you filter straight from the camera.
You can literally set your filter as it's recording. It's so cool.
It also adds a little bit of airbrushing on your face.
Okay I don't want to see my janky setup so let me do it like this...
So you can record straight from super camera which is what I'm doing now.
But you can record straight from super camera.
You can also change the view.
This for me is the best app. Once you're done recording you can save it. And then you can start editing. From there upload it to Instagram TV.
Video Leap too is another really good one. I like Video Leap a lot because unlike some of the other apps you can edit multiple clips on one timeline.
I like that it allows you to drag clips around. To move clips around.
It's also got the other basic editing features. editing features like filters, adding text, adding borders to your text boxes
Video leap is pretty pretty cool and it gives you a number of export features as well.
With video leap so say you have a square video like I've got here and...
...you want it to fill out into a 9 by 16 you can literally choose the fill button.
Kind of like Video Crop where you can crop you can just fill it so you can choose...
..the format you want the video to output in and then you can click...
...on that square clip and fill it. It fills out into the vertical format.
I don't know if I'm explaining it properly but you can click on that square clip and like..
... Video Crop instead of cropping you fill it out so it fills out into that 9 by 16.
Video Leap is pretty cool. If you want to...you can also add music.
If you want other extra features you're gonna have to go pro but..
..with the basic free app you can do a lot, you can do a whole lot.
Another app that I discovered is called - Perfect Video this works great for iOS and Android.
What I like about Perfect Video over InShot is Perfect Video lets you set up different clips.
Pretty much like your desktop video editing app. So it's similar to iMovie...
...Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro. It also gives you transitions. It's let's you edit...
... in vertical, change the size, color selection, you can add a title we can rearrange clips.
This is why I prefer Perfect Video over Video Crop.
Even though Video Crop will crop any size of video to a vertical 9 by 16 and this doesn't do that.
You would need to upload a vertical and already shot...
...vertical video either with your camera or your smartphone.
But I like that you can edit multiple clips.
Similar to iMovie, where you have a project and you have clips. So this is your project.
And in your project you can have multiple clips and choose from the clips.
Put them in one timeline I like that the timeline lets you...
...arrange different clips and you can have a transition.
These are five free apps that I've shared with you guys. These apps are available for iOS devices and...
for Android devices. Some of the features you can only get if you're upgrade to a pro.
But for basic editing you can get away with using the free versions of these apps.
There's other paid for apps out there. I did not think that fit with with the concept of this video.
This was all about free, for my budgetistas. Budgestistas...I just made that word up.
For my BUDGETISTAS out there.
I hope guys play around with these apps and tell me how you get on with them.
What do you think about this video? I hope it provided you with some value.
I'm just sharing the things that I learn that I come across.
