China's commerce ministry will start an anti-dumping investigation into steel products imported

from South Korea, Japan, the European Union and Indonesia.

Beijing will look into stainless steel billets, or bars, and hot-rolled stainless steel plates

from the four countries.

The probe is at the request of a Chinese steel firm, which claimed such products accounted

for more than half of its domestic market from 2014 to 2017.

The ministry plans to conduct surveys, check samples, hold public hearings and carry out

on-site inspections to determine if the imports are hurting the local industry.

Best Scalloped Red Potatoes Recipe - Duration: 3:05.

(upbeat music)

- Hey, everyone, Jerry James Stone here,

and today's recipe I'm super excited about

because it's one of my favorites.

I make the best scalloped potatoes,

and you're gonna love this scalloped potato recipe.

I swear it's not that hard,

and it's just decadent and rich and creamy,

and it's everything that you love about scalloped potatoes,

and you're gonna thank me later.

So, before I get into that, though,

be sure to check out my playlist on other potato recipes.

I have marbled mashed potatoes,

garlic mashed potatoes, lots of potato things,

so be sure to check out that playlist,

and in the meantime get over to the scalloped ones, okay?

Okay, so to begin making our scalloped potatoes

we're gonna thinly slice the potatoes.

You can use a food processor or salad shooter

or a mandolin, like I am, but just don't use a knife

You want them to be really, really thin.

Okay, so first we want to go ahead and preheat

our oven to 350 degrees.

Next, we're gonna melt some butter,

just over a medium heat.

Now we're going to add in some minced garlic.

And we're just gonna saute this for about a minute,

(warbling)

and add in our sliced potatoes.

(peppy music)

Just go ahead and add those all in there.

They don't have to be perfectly layered.

They will cook down, but you know,

try to smoosh 'em down a little bit.

Now we're gonna add in our half and half.

Add in some salt.

Add in some cracked pepper.

Okay, so you wanna bring the mixture to a boil,

and then we're just gonna reduce it down to a simmer,

and let it cook for about five minutes.

So after it's been simmering for about five minutes,

you'll notice that the potatoes have cooked down,

the sauce is thickening, so now

we're ready to move it to the oven.

And we're just gonna bake them for about an hour,

until they're nice and golden brown on top

and the sauce has thickened.

How great do those look?

Right, how delicious do those look?

I told you, it's not that hard,

and they're super, super good.

Trust me, super good.

Like this video, give me a thumbs up.

If it's your first time watching,

please subscribe, and if there's something

you wanna talk about, something you wanna see,

drop me a comment, happy to hear from you.

And I'll talk to you guys next time.

U.S. to keep an eye on Chinese currency for manipulation: Mnuchin - Duration: 1:33.

The next phase for the two superpowers, following the tariff conflict, could be a currency war.

America's Treasury Secretary has vowed to closely monitor the rapidly weakening yuan

for signs of manipulation.

Choi Si-young reports.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said last Friday in an interview with CNBC that

he is closely monitoring the weakening Chinese currency, which President Trump has said China

is manipulating.

He also said he will review whether to designate China as a currency manipulator.

The Chinese media responded Monday.

The Global Times, China's state-run English-language daily, quoted a number of pro-government pundits

who said China is not manipulating its currency to help its exports, and it claimed China

is doing everything according to market standards.

Experts say there is no sign of the Chinese government intervening directly... but that

it may be allowing the yuan to depreciate gradually because that makes the country's

exports cheaper.

Economists at JP Morgan support that view, noting that China has traditionally responded

to trade disputes by letting the yuan depreciate.

According to Bank of America's wealth management division, Merril Lynch, a weakening Chinese

currency lowers the purchasing power of Chinese importers, and in the long run, stimulates

capital outflow.

Robin Brooks, chief economist at the Institute of International Finance, an industry group,

warned that in light of the 2015 yuan depreciation crisis, a weakened yuan will likely lead to

a plunge in oil prices.

He also said the currencies of countries that export raw materials, like Colombia, Russia

and Malaysia, are likely to tumble first, followed by other countries in Asia.

5 talking points from Liverpool 1-3 Borussia Dortmund - Klopp's charisma shines in the States - Duration: 7:57.

5 talking points from Liverpool 1-3 Borussia Dortmund - Klopp's charisma shines in the States

Liverpool fell to a 3-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, but Alex Malone reflected on a positive afternoon for the Reds and their supporters in Charlotte.

Alex Malone in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After the games played against lower-league opposition on home soil, Liverpool arrived in the US to step up the challenge ahead of the new Premier League season.

Man City and Man United are still to come, but first it was our friends Dortmund posing the first major challenge of pre-season.

I was lucky enough to make it to the game in person, so here are a few observations about the occasion, the US support, my thoughts on the game and that man Jurgen Klopp.

1- Liverpool Fans Are Everywhere.

No matter where you ventured in the vibrant city of Charlotte over the last 24 hours, you honestly could go no more than about 25 yards before seeing another cluster of Liverpool fans.

The Epicentre, the downtown area of Charlotte, is a high-energy, high-octane nightclub area with pubs and clubs galore.

I decided to wander around to take in the atmosphere the night before the game.

It's no exaggeration to say that every pub and club was jam-packed with Reds. Crown Paints, Carlsberg, Standard Chartered, retro kits, red, white, yellow, purple, green and orange kits.

Gerrard still adorning many of them; Salah even more. I even spotted a couple of Coutinhos. The Liverpool crowd is as diverse as it is possible to be.

Every race, colour and creed was on show, all together, bonding, laughing, singing as one big happy Liverpool FC family; fans from all over the globe.

I spoke to Brazilians, Australians, Africans, Iranians, Asians among many, many others; each of them as passionate about this club as you or I.

It was a joy to behold. Genuinely. As I walked past Dortmund fans in my ageing Carlsberg shirt, they high-fived me and wished me luck for tomorrow.

I even wished it back. I didn't mean it.

2- The American Experience.

It's just different in America. Their stadiums, often close to 100 years newer than the likes of Anfield, are like something from a science-fiction movie.

They're impressively modern, exceptionally clean and very welcoming. You get a sense of grandiose as you approach, such is the scale.

They don't have roofs in these parts because it rarely rains, and as such it's tough to generate the kind of atmosphere you get in stadiums back home.

The Liverpool fans, however, congregated behind Loris Karius' goal in the first half did their utmost. The rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone was the highlight, sung in conjunction with the Dortmund fans.

You always get the US national anthem played before every sports game in America, with whoever is singing it trying their damnedest to outdo the last person who sang it.

We all stood for it. It's expected. It's a tradition; unless you're a 2018 NFL player. Dortmund, of course, happen to have the best young American player of his generation in Christian Pulisic.

As such there were a multitude of young American kids proudly walking with their mums and dads in their bright yellow Dortmund shirts.

The US men's team may be in a bad place at the moment, but Pulisic is a genuine superstar in these parts. More on him later….

3 - The Superstars and the Fringe Players.

This game told us little we didn't already know, and maybe confirmed some things we really didn't want to know.

Naby Keita excelled in every department; Virgil van Dijk was a Rolls Royce in defence; Fabinho was an understated yet commanding presence in midfield.

Daniel Sturridge's introduction in the second half made us realise what we'd been missing in the first. All of last season's other first-choice players were solid, if unspectacular.

On the flip side, what might have Jurgen concerned were the performances of the fringe players.

I'm not talking about the young kids just breaking through, such as Curtis Jones, who was excellent. I mean those who have already been given several chances to impress over a season or two.

Divock Origi did little to suggest he has progressed whatsoever in the last two seasons. In fact, I would opine that he has regressed.

He offered, literally, next to nothing. Dominic Solanke, who admittedly still has time on his side, is another who is posing more questions than answers right now.

One superb ball to Alberto Moreno aside, his threat was minimal. His goalscoring record is now reaching critical levels. One goal in 27 Liverpool appearances just isn't good enough.

His inability to impact a game seems more evident with each appearance. Origi and Solanke are light-years away from the quality of Sturridge. Others, such as Ben Woodburn and Joe Gomez are in the same boat.

Are they going to reach the standards required?. I might be being a little harsh on the very young Woodburn, but he has been overtaken in terms of performance by Jones.

Gomez meanwhile, has seemingly plateaued. Joel Matip is posing Klopp an altogether different problem; availability.

An excellent defender on his day, but those days are fewer and further between. His consistency of performance tailed off dramatically throughout last season, before yet another injury had him back on the treatment table.

Matip has missed 36 games in the last two seasons and hobbled off again on Sunday.

The question is, will we ever see the player we once had such high hopes for? One who is consistently excellent and injury free? It's doubtful, and as such a real dilemma for the manager.

For all our excellent dealings in the transfer window, we are still very, very light when it comes to top-quality, available central defenders.

4 - Christian Pulisic.

Well, we saw with our own eyes what this kid can do. He was the difference between 1-1 and 3-1 to Dortmund. He offers skill, technique and showed his finishing ability.

He's young, energetic and a mere 19 years of age. He looks every inch a 'Klopp' player. He was Man of the Match, but was banned from winning it because of Heineken sponsoring the award…he's not of legal drinking age here!.

So, how about we sign him? A win-win; he gets to play for the mighty Reds, we get a potential superstar and he gets to grab a pint after training.

5 - Jurgen Klopp – What a Man!.

I watched Jurgen's antics on the touchline. Honestly, it was almost as entertaining as the game. If the rule about the technical areas being breached was enforced, he'd have been sent to the stands about 25 times.

At one point the fourth official had to usher him back to his technical area because he'd pretty much wandered all the way to Dortmund's (and there's quite a distance between them!).

A friendly? Not in his mind. Watching him it looked like this game mattered as much as any other.

He offered valuable insight in his post-match press conference in that Matip "had too much pain to continue and we will know more in two to three days," and Sturridge (who was down for a couple of minutes) is not injured.

He was confused by a journalist's question regarding where Keita would play ("do you have any suggestions?") and made the American press happy by saying some nice things about Pulisic (while reminding them they need 11 players, not one).

Post-interview, Klopp came out alone and walked through the media/staff area, smiling, joking and laughing with anyone and everyone.

He even stopped to give an ad-hoc interview to one guy with a $10 microphone who couldn't believe his luck.

Before making his way to the Liverpool team bus, he stopped for two different families who each asked him could they have a photo with their kids.

Of course, he obliged. A great manager, a great man, and we are very, very lucky to have him.

So, quite the day! We might have lost, but we did so with many of the big guns rested, many of the fringe players being assessed against a big club, and many of the new signings genuinely impressing.

Next…I'm off to New Jersey. It's the small matter of Man City.

President Moon praises late lawmaker Roh Hoe-chan for his role in Korean progressive politics - Duration: 1:47.

The loss of the respected lawmaker was also mourned during the weekly meeting between

the nation's leader and his top aides.

According to our Cha Sang-mi, the President had nothing but praise for the man who helped

keep the government in check from the opposite side of the political aisle.

Following the sudden death of Roh Hoe-chan, a prominent opposition lawmaker who committed

suicide earlier on Monday, Seoul's top office sent its condolences to the deceased.

President Moon shared the news with his top aides, just before he sat down for a weekly

meeting.

"I feel extremely saddened by the news of Roh Hoe-chan, member of the Assembly.

We did not share the same political party, but being involved in politics during the

same period, we both put in efforts to make our Korean society a more progressive one."

President Moon praised the late lawmaker's career, saying Roh had made big contributions

to widen the political arena and played a large role in improving the dignity of political

discussions with his calm words.

The South Korean leader sent condolences to the late lawmaker and his family, as well

as to the Justice Party, which Roh was a member of.

The meeting came after the Blue House Spokesperson told the press that the Presidential office

decided to cancel President Moon's Q&A session on Facebook Live, which had been scheduled

for just before noon, following the "sorrowful incident in the morning".

"The Presidential Blue House sent a notification on Twitter saying the planned reply session

to a petition uploaded in May had been delayed, and the session will be led by the President's

Senior Communications Secretary Yoon Young-chan instead on Tuesday."

Record breaking heatwaves with tropical nights _ 072318 - Duration: 2:02.

Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update.

We've entered the second week of the heatwave that's sweeping the nation, and there are

record-breaking highs every day.

It's been common to see temperatures exceeding 37 degrees Celsius,... as happened in Gyeongju

and Daegu today.

And although Seoul isn't as hot as yesterday, the heat is still almost unbearable and ozone

levels are high, so please do limit your time outside during the day.

Tomorrow, the nation will be under partly cloudy skies with scorching weather as usual.

Beijing is in luck, though, with some rain is in the forecast to cool them off.

Today, in Seoul and Gangneung, it was the hottest morning in 111 years, Seoul hitting

a new record of 29.2 degrees Celsius.

Tonight won't be as hot as yesterday but the tropical nights continue nationwide.

Seoul will start tomorrow morning at 26.

Tomorrow it'll be just as hot as today -- Seoul hitting 36, Daegu 37 and Busan 34 degrees.

Again throughout the week, there's no rain to look forward to,... only more heat in the

day and at night.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.

12 lời khuyên ăn uống lành mạnh mà vẫn siêu tiết kiệm - Duration: 5:44.

Health Network, For Public Health

Hi, you are listening to audio on mangyte.vn website

12 healthy eating tips that are still super thrifty

Eating healthy is not necessarily, must come with a price too expensive.

You may still have a good diet, but not expensive.

That becomes even easier, if you know the cost saving tricks.

Here are 12 helpful tips for eating and drinking, as recommended by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

1. Make a shopping plan.

To avoid overspending and unnecessary purchases, you first need to set up a monthly spending budget, and write weekly shopping lists based on that budget.

That way, if you buy more than you need in the first week or the second of the month,

You can balance your budget with smarter decisions in weeks three and four.

Your weekly meal plan will also be based on your budget.

You will save quite a bit of money, by buying only what you need, limiting purchases.

2. Smart shopping.

Buy food when you are not hungry and not too hasty.

Bring a list of items to buy, and do not stay long in the booths, so you will not be tempted.

Compare prices correctly.

Lowest price is not always the best price.

Instead of looking at prices, look for and compare "unit prices," or "unit costs," listed on the shelves just below the item.

This price shows the cost per gram, per liter or per bottle of the item, from which you can determine the best value of the item to buy.

4. Cut and keep the coupons.

Before you go to the store, check out the coupons, or coupons that you have.

You will save a lot when using them.

Take advantage of the deals and discounts.

Consider shopping, at grocery stores, discounted or discounted.

Wherever you decide to shop, check out weekly, or daily for information.

6. Ignore big brands.

Avoid buying expensive brands:You can usually buy the same product at a cheaper price.

7. Buy in bulk.

Purchasing large quantities usually costs less.

But in some cases, such as with fresh vegetables and fruits, buy in bulk,

It can cost you a lot of money, because they will not last long, and may break down before you eat it.

Buy perishable foods in small quantities, to make sure you eat them all, before they spoil.

For some perishable items:meat, fish and even bread, freeze and then defrost when needed to cook, allowing you to purchase this bulk item.

8. Seasonal shopping.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are available during the season, which is often cheaper than other periods of the year.

For example, the peak time for citrus is in January, so it will be the perfect time to buy your vitamin C source for a lower price.

9. Canned or frozen fruits and vegetables.

If fruits and vegetables on your shopping list, seasoned fruits and vegetables, buy them in frozen or canned form, is a great savings option.

Canned or frozen products have a much longer shelf life than fresh vegetables,

So you can buy them in bulk, and not have to worry about them being broken.

Many frozen and canned vegetables have the same nutritional content as fresh vegetables.

However, canned foods often contain more preservatives, salt and sugar.

To be safe, you can buy fruits and vegetables, preserved in glass jars, instead of in cans.

10. Vegetables.

Although the purchase of vegetables and cut vegetables, ready to pack, very convenient and attractive,

However, it will cost you a lot of money compared to buying food home, and cutting yourself off.

Moreover, self-processing will help you to control the hygiene.

11. Keep leftovers.

You should not discard leftover food, but keep it and add it to your next meal.

Boiled boiled vegetables, can be fried or cooked.

The leftover fruit can be a vitamin or a juice.

You can put the food in the box, and put it in the fridge.

12. Try meatless meals.

To save money on meat and improve your health, you need to try several vegetarian meals a week.

USDA recommends replacing a few meat-based meals with high-protein beans and peas.

Replace the meat with other high-protein foods such as sweet potatoes, or rice.
