Hi!
I'm Sharon Jurd and welcome to my Biz Blitz video and today I want to talk to you about
getting people into your event.
If you are holding an event, whether it's large or small, you need to get people in
the room.
I want to share with you three easy ways you can do it.
Firstly, utilise your database.
These are people who know, like and trust you; you've been talking to them continually
and you've given them great value I would presume, so then you can ask them to come
along to your event.
Now you might say, "I don't have a database", you do!
Look in your phone – you have hundreds of people in your phone, talk to them.
They already know, like and trust you.
Get talking to them and inviting them along to your event.
Secondly, talk to people!
Get out and about and talk to people, whether it be online forums or live events.
Get out, start talking to people that you don't know, that you don't normally hang
around with, get into different groups, go to different networking functions and make
sure you're telling as many people as you can that you're holding an event.
You need to be busy.
You need to be busily talking to people.
Thirdly, talk to your strategic alliances.
If you haven't followed my videos before, you may not have heard of strategic alliances
before but if you have, you hear me talking about it all the time.
Strategic alliances are people who are looking after clients and customers that would be
interested in your service or product or in this case, event.
So talk to your strategic alliances and ask them would this event be of value to their
audiences and most of the time you'll find that it's yes and you have the ability to
share your event with their audience.
So there are my three things, it's really simple, easy stuff that won't cost you a
lot of money.
One, utilise your database.
If it's from your phone, your emails – if you email heaps of people, go through your
emails on your computer.
Secondly, talk to people.
Get out and about and talk to people that you don't normally talk to on a day-to-day
basis.
And thirdly, make sure you're talking to your strategic alliances and building those
relationships with those strategic alliances.
