8 HABITS THAT STUNT YOUR SUCCESS - Duration: 9:45.

Sunny Lenarduzzi: When we're little kids we're taught to dream big until we dream too big,

reality sets in and bursts our bubble.

But what if we truly believe that through hard work and determination we could continue

to grow beyond our wildest dreams?

It's possible.

Hit Like if you're ready to succeed.

The first habit that will stunt your success?

We all do it, but we all need to stop doing it, comparison.

Comparing yourself to every other person out there, whether they are in your space, or

it's someone in your personal life who you just envy and think they have the most beautiful,

perfect life because of what you see on social media.

The more you compare yourself to other people, the more you put energy into that, the less

you're putting energy into your own growth and your own success.

Salty isn't a cute look.

Two is consumption.

This means really anything that you're taking in, whether it's from a food or drink perspective,

or from thoughts, feelings, and energy from people around you.

As someone who wants to achieve great success, you kind of got to treat yourself like an

athlete.

You know what athletes' regimens look like.

They're super, super healthy, they're very cautious of what they eat and what they drink,

they're not overconsuming, for the most part.

They are also cautious of who they hang out with.

Because if you're hanging out with people who only think on a small frame, you're never

going to think that it's realistic to think bigger and dream bigger.

You have to surround yourself with the right people who have the right energy that they're

bringing to the table that's going to lift you up and make you believe that you're capable

of so much more.

Being conscious of what you consume on a daily basis is so important.

If you do surround yourself with the wrong people, if you're consuming the wrong things,

if you're not fueling your body, if you're not working out and exercising and eating

the right things on a daily basis, it's going to keep you stuck.

One of the things that I started doing is I don't look at my phone first thing in the

morning.

The first hour of my day is dedicated to getting up slowly, doing some mindset steps, so whether

that's meditation or just taking space, going for a walk, moving my body, doing a workout

or going for a run, or something like that, journaling.

Just priming myself on my own terms, so I'm proactive and feel good about starting my

day.

I'm not reactive and taking in everybody else's energy and thoughts because those are the

things that are going to keep you stuck and small.

Now, the third thing is hoarding.

What do I mean by this?

Well, no matter what stage you're in right now, I totally get it.

I went seven years doing everything by myself in my business, but you will get to a point

where you realize that it's just not possible.

If you have just one person, just you, doing everything in the business and everything

in your life and you're never asking for help, how are you possibly supposed to grow?

The thing about doing everything yourself, after a while you'll really start to get on

each other's nerves, right?

Well, I'm ready to shoot.

So, Sound, are you ready?

Yeah, I think so.

But what about lighting?

Who cares about lighting?

We saw the whole script [inaudible 00:03:08] right here.

Too many cooks in the kitchen.

So find the right people for the right seats.

Put them in their genius zone and that's when you can start elevating and growing.

Again, there's no shame in doing everything yourself for a while and learning things on

the way, so you can teach other people how to do them the way that you like them done,

but also allow them to run with those tasks or those parts of your business or life and

make them even better and put your trust into them.

I want you to comment right now below this video and let me know what one thing is, whether

it's in your life or your business, that you could ask for help for today.

It could be something as small as asking someone to go pick up a grocery for you, so you don't

have to take that time and go do it.

Or asking someone to babysit tonight for you.

Just asking for that help is going to free up space for you to be able to elevate your

whole life.

Number four is idolization.

What this means is you put people on a pedestal.

You look at people who are succeeding and at the top of their game and you go, "I could

never achieve what they have achieved."

But news flash, if they can do it, you can do it, so stop idolizing people.

Start studying them and start studying their path to success because everything is replicable.

When you live your own unique experience, your own intel and your own genius to bring

to the table, you can surpass the people that you look up to right now.

You just have to focus on the fact that you're capable of it and not putting people on a

pedestal.

Of course, you can respect their experience and respect what they've done, but they're

not superstars.

They're not aliens.

They're not out of this world.

They're human beings, as are you, which means you're absolutely capable of just as much

success as anybody else on the planet.

Number five, give me a Like below if you are a fellow recovering perfectionist, or maybe

you're still a super, super perfectionist, as is really, really, really normal for anybody

who wants to achieve great things in their life because you feel like you have to be

perfect in order to do it.

I totally get it.

It's something that I still battle with, but perfectionism is paralysis.

It will keep you stuck, tuck, tuck, tuck and playing small.

Taking imperfect, messy action is the best way to start growing.

Because if you don't put something out into the world, you have no idea what the response

is.

The worst thing you can do, and I've done this, is spending hours and hours and so much

mental time and energy on a project and thinking it's the greatest thing ever, and then putting

it out there and getting no response because I didn't ask, I didn't test, I just start

doing.

Instead of doing this big huge project or action, take one small imperfect baby step.

Maybe if you want to write a book one day, you could just write one post on Facebook

that has something to do with that book and start gauging the reaction.

Start testing that content with your ideal audience.

That's going to give you the confidence to move forward and also the proof that it's

relevant content, and information that the world needs from you.

Because I can guarantee they do, but you got to start putting it out there first and not

worrying about every single little detail and, again, will paralyze you.

Number six, similar to perfectionism, complication.

It's just a fancier way of being a perfectionist.

Basically, it's overcomplicating every single thing that you do.

Instead of, again, just taking the action and doing what you need to do or putting whatever

it is that you want to put out into the world out there, you start going, "Oh, well, I have

to take this course before I do this," or, "I have to call this person and get their

permission before I can actually say this thing."

That's a way of basically stalling, so you don't have to jump and leap and take the chance

to put yourself out there and potentially risk not getting a great response.

But you know what, the more objection you face, the more resilient you become.

One of the biggest qualities of a successful person is how they handle rejection and how

resilient they are.

It's just a learning curve and every single person in the world has had to get over it.

So that complication, when you find yourself working on something and when it feels like

it's ready to be put out there, but you're fine-tuning every little detail and overcomplicating

the crap out of it, you might just be stalling.

Number seven is dwelling on the past.

Supercommon.

You also start to buy into things that have happened to you in the past and use that to

determine your future.

Say you put a project or piece of work out into the world not too long ago, and it didn't

go well, or you got a negative response.

You even got one person who said something really not very nice about it.

You're then creating a story in your head that any time I put myself out there, I'm

going to get critiqued and it didn't feel good, so I don't want to do it again.

But that's taking someone else's word and putting so much weight in it that you are

going to stay stuck for the rest of your life because you can't get over their reaction.

That has way more to do with them than it does with you.

Don't allow your stories from the past, your experiences from the past to determine your

future.

Which brings me to the last thing, habits that's going to keep you stuck and playing

small, which is dwelling on the future.

If you're thinking of much about this big huge vision and goal that you have for yourself,

it's great to have that.

But if you're so stuck on creating that yesterday, basically, and creating it overnight, you're

going to get frustrated.

That's going to stop you from moving forward and making the things happen that you need

to make happen.

Instead of going after this big longterm vision, start with small baby goals and break them

up.

Start tackling them one by one every single day, and you will eventually get that big

vision.

But if you dwell too much and you futurecast too much, of course, it's going to feel superoverwhelming

and daunting and, again, it's going to keep you stuck from actually taking action.

Jeep Wrangler JK Barricade Tubular Fender Flares w/ LED Lighting (2007-2018) Review & Install - Duration: 13:49.

Hey guys, today, I'm here with the Barricade Tubular Fender Flares with the LED Lighting

fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers.

There are two schools of thought with fender flares from plastic flares to steel flares

and they both have pros and cons.

Well, the plastic flare, if you're off road and you do take a hit, they can bend or break.

However, if you take a hard enough of a hit they will pop off and not cause any additional

damage.

With a steel fender flare like this if you do take too hard of a hit you can transfer

some of that energy into the body.

However, with a steel fender like this, these are very structurally sound and able to hold

their own on the trail.

So aesthetically, these are gonna completely change the look of your JK's exterior while

also giving you a ton of functionality.

With the flat style tube fender, you're gonna allow a lot more up travel off road for better

articulation.

You're also getting some accent lighting upfront that will increase your visibility and give

you a very updated look.

These are available for all four together or just the front or just the rear.

At the moment, they're gonna be about $600 for all four and about half the price for

either the front or the back.

However, I think with what you're getting here that that is a very good price.

These will actually be one of your most affordable choices on the site right now.

Some other options will cost roughly the same as all four of these for just the front.

So install is gonna be a strong one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.

There is gonna be some drilling and wiring involved, but it's nothing that you can't

get done in your driveway in a couple of hours.

So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.

The tools that we used for this install are a impact wrench, a rivnut tool or the provided

rivnut tool, a 13-mm swivel, a 10-mm swivel, a 10-mm deep socket, a 10-mm short socket,

a 13-mm short socket, a 3/16-inch Allen key, a pair of snips, a pair of pliers, wire cutters,

strippers, and crimpers, 3/8-inch drive ratchet, a 13-mm open ended or box wrench, a 13-mm

ratcheting wrench, a rubber mallet, and electrical tape.

So our first step to removing our front fender is to remove the four 10-mm bolts holding

in our inner liner.

So now we can remove the couple of pop clips using a trim removal tool that are holding

on the inner fender liner.

So now we're ready to fully remove our front fender so make sure you disconnect your marker

light.

You can disconnect it from the harness that's attached to the front of the Jeep or you can

just remove the bulb.

But either way, you want to make sure that's disconnected so you don't rip it out of the

harness.

We've already removed our marker bulb because of the damage on our fender.

So next you can just pull up on the fender and pull outward.

It should be pretty easy to remove.

So sometimes these clips do like to stay in there after you remove your fender.

You can just pop those out with a trim removal tool.

So to remove our rear fender, we don't have any bolts holding it in, it's all gonna be

pop clips, so you just need your trim removal tool.

So we have two pop clips holding up the top.

So if the top of the pop clip starts to bend, you can just pull them out with a pair of

pliers.

Now we can remove the bottom one.

So sometimes the top of the pop clip can slip through the inner fender line.

That's okay.

We'll still be able to remove it and we can remove those after when we have a little bit

more room.

All right.

That boy went through too.

So after you're finished taking out all the pop clips, we can fully remove our back fender.

So we're just gonna remove the remaining pop clips left over.

The front is a little bit easier to pull up so you will have to tug on the fender a little

bit harder than the front so these will most likely stay in place.

So compared to the stock fender flare that does hang over the side, these new tube fenders

will be flat.

So these will allow a lot more up travel off-road for bigger wheels and tires.

Not to mention you are getting an upgraded off-road look with the accent lighting attached

to your fender flare.

This is also gonna have some functionality giving you some extra peripheral visibility

while you're out on the trail and it's gonna replace the marker light on your stock fender.

So those are gonna be in a better position than the stock one.

As you can see out on the trail, we have broken ours so these are gonna do a lot better at

holding their own.

So enough about our stock flares, let's bolt up our new ones.

So with our light in the fender and our wiring harness tucked up and out of the way, we can

bolt on our fender.

So we do have this tab here that we can rest our fender on so we can bolt up all of our

hardware.

So you're gonna take your 13-mm bolt with the washer and then you're gonna attach your

washer and nut on the backside.

Now, we are going to loosely install all of our hardware so we make sure that all of our

bolt holes line up and then we can take everything down at the end.

So to hold the top bolts in place so the fender flare is not hanging down on you, you're gonna

insert your sleeve in the middle of the fender well and take the smaller Allen head bolt

and bolt it through.

So once the Allen head bolt is through you can attach the washer and the nut on the backside

and then move along to the other bolts.

So the reason I put that back bolt in is just so I can secure down the hardware without

having to juggle around the fender.

So with that said, let's get all of the other hardware bolted in.

So this is a tight space up here.

It may take a couple of tries.

But I recommend to put the nut up there first, the nut and the washer and then you can put

your bolt through and screw that in.

So in order to install the hardware for these two bottom bolt holes, you will need to drill

two 3/8-inch holes directly behind these bolt holes in the inner body.

So once you push this through you can attach the washer and then locknut on the back of

it and that will hold our fender in place while we bolt in everything else.

So our last bolt that we have to attach is with the longer sleeve.

You can insert that in between the two bolt holes and you can push the bolt through.

You might have to push up on the fender to get everything lined up, that will pass through,

then you can attach your washer and your locknut on the back of that.

So now we can tighten everything down with a 13-mm wrench and a 13-mm swivel.

You're not gonna have much room to work with or you could use a 13-mm socket and a ratchet.

I recommend to hold up on the fender while you're tightening everything down so it sits

in place correctly.

So now you can take a 3/16-inch Allen key and tighten down our bottom two bolts.

So now you can take a 13-mm box wrench and a 13-mm ratcheting wrench since there isn't

a lot of room up here, and tighten down this last front bolt.

So for our wiring, we attached quick disconnects to our positive and negative lead on our wiring

harness for our accessory light and tapped into our power and our ground on our marker

light.

So you can attach those.

So whenever you turn on your daytime running lights to whatever your marker is on, your

new accessory lighting will also be on.

So after those are connected you can electrical tape those and clean up your wiring.

So before we install our Barricade Tube Fenders on our Wrangler, we want you to take the foam

tape that's gonna protect any of the metal from hitting the body of the Jeep, and measure

it out, cut it up, and tape it on our tube fender.

So now we can take a knife and cut out our bolt holes.

So because we don't have access to the inside of our inner fender well to bolt up our tube

fender, they provided us with rivnuts in order to attach it.

So instead of manually doing it, you can use the rivnut tool.

You just have to fully open the tool and thread the rivnut on.

Insert it where you want it and tighten it down.

Now we will leave these two bottom holes on either side free and just do the eight around

the top portion.

So now we can bolt up our fenders with the provided hardware.

So with the help of a friend holding up the fender, we can take our provided hardware

and bolt it in.

Once all of our hardware is in we can tighten everything down with a 10-mm swivel.

Since these are at an angle, they are easier to access so we can tighten them down with

a regular 10-mm socket.

So that wraps it up for my review and install.

WP72107-AP6026399, PS11743941- Almond Touch up Paint - Duration: 2:49.

Hi, my name is Bill and today I'm going to show you how to fix a scratch on your washer

by applying some touch-up paint.

For this repair, you will need some almond colored touch-up paint.

Warning, before doing any repairs please disconnect your power source.

So this is our washer here.

It is a KitchenAid and this is what we are going to use for our repairs.

Keep in mind yours might be a little bit different at home but the same techniques should still apply.

So, as you can see here there is a couple of scratches on our washer and to get rid

of those, we are going to use our almond touch-up paint.

If you do not have some already you can get some at our online store.

So I am just going to unscrew the cap here.

We are going to get off the excess paint by removing it on the inside of the lid here.

That way we are not putting too much on.

We are going to go to our scratched up area.

Just lightly apply the paint.

You can get some more as needed.

And we have a scratch up here too.

Try to blend it a little bit so it doesn't look as obvious.

It will help when it dries too.

There we go, those look pretty covered up now.

And after you have done that your repair is complete.

Finally, dont forget to plug in your appliance.

If you need to replace any parts for your appliances you can find an OEM replacement

part on our website PCappliancerepair.com.

VO Boss: Episode 46 - Adaptation Super Powers - Duration: 21:54.

Announcer: Today's voice over talent is more than just a pretty voice.

Today's voiceover talent has to be a boss, a VO BOSS.

Set yourself up with business owner strategies and success with you host Anne Ganguzza along

with some of the strongest voices in our industry.

Rock your business like a boss, a VO BOSS.

Anne: We have a cool brand.

Isn't it great to be working at the brand that you love?

We have some really awesome keys.

We've got some great mugs.

Gabby: The T-shirts are really incredible, just fun stuff that you guys can get your

hands on to get out there and show your bossness to the world.

Anne: That's right.

Proclaim your bossness.

Go to voboss.com and just click on the shop tab.

So simple.

Gabby: And now, on with the show.

Anne: Welcome, everybody, to the VO BOSS podcast.

I'm your host, Anne Ganguzza, along with my superpower VO bosstie, Gabby Nistico.

Hey, Gabby.

Gabby: Hi, but wouldn't that make me your sidekick?

Anne: I guess so.

Superpower sidekick, yeah.

I love that.

Gabby: Hell yeah, I will be the Robin to your Batman.

Anne: OK, so my entrepreneurial superpower is… adaptation.

Gabby: No way, me too.

Anne: [laughs]

Gabby: I read your mind.

I knew what you were going to say.

Anne: Superpower!

So yeah, let's talk about adaptation and why it is so important for your business.

Gabby: You know what, because at the end of the day, we really are Clark Kent in a damn

phone booth.

We are like, that is the epitome of adapting.

Like, I have to get out of these clothes, and I have to transform myself right now,

because I gotta go deal with saving the world again.

Anne: There you go.

Gabby: Entrepreneurs are absolutely the Masters of --

Anne: [laughs]

Gabby: Change on the fly.

Anne: So true.

Gabby: Especially small business owners.

Right?

I mean, look, we don't have time --

Anne: [laughs]

Gabby: -- to get upset.

We don't have time to get emotional.

We don't have time to wallow in the corner and cry, because --

Anne: Isn't that the truth?

Gabby: -- something isn't working.

We don't whine, we don't moan, we move the [expletive] on.

Anne: And you know why?

And you know what the biggest motivator for me is?

Gabby: What?

Anne: I got to make money.

I got to pay the bills, dammit.

Gabby: Right?

That is it.

Anne: That's what's so cool in a way.

We become so, we become like so fast at adapting and adjusting because I have to.

I have to pay the mortgage at the end of the month, right?

Or I've gotta buy the groceries.

I've gotta do whatever I'm doing that has to be paid with money.

So if I'm not evolving and adapting, guess what?

I can't be crying, because I'm not making money.

Gabby: In an ideal world, things would give us notice, and we would have time, and we

would be able to assess the situation, and price compare, and shop, and determine the

best possible thing to do.

No.

That's not reality.

That is not how it happens.

Things break.

People let us down.

Systems fail.

Anne: Oh, they do.

Gabby: Technology decides to take a dump right when we need it to not.

[laughs]

Anne: I have a great example too.

Gabby: And so we have no choice but to immediately switch gears.

Here's the thing that I think is fascinating about this, and also something I love.

It goes back to what you just said about, right, I have to pay the bills.

I am motivated by the money.

Anne: I sure am.

[laughs]

Gabby: People are really fond of saying, it's, it's my family that drives me, right?

I work so I can provide for everybody.

I work so that I can, I can take care of my responsibilities.

The coolest thing about an entrepreneur is that we are our top responsibility.

We put us first.

It falls squarely on us, and we, we literally go "no, you know what?

I love me enough that I need to fix this right now.

So that this doesn't cause me pain later, and I don't have a major breakdown or a loss

of income, or some other, you know, crazy thing."

We, we put us as the responsibility first.

And I think that's amazing because most people don't do that.

It is always like, oh, my kids, my spouse.

You know.

Anne: When you're working for the man, so to speak, right, when you're working for the

man, who, where do your priorities lie?

Right?

I think that's one of the most beautiful things about being an entrepreneur is that you are

your own boss.

It is you that you are taking care of.

And I have had, gosh, Gabby, a multitude of, of experiences where I'd had to turn around.

You know, probably the biggest one -- I bring this up because it was such a critical factor

in my career was when I was diagnosed, Gabby, with cancer.

Gabby: Oh yeah.

Anne: That was like the biggest, oh my God, the pinnacle of my career when I was like,

but no.

I – no!

This is not the right time.

This is, you know, I just reached this other echelon of moving up in my career.

And no!

I had to make such quick changes.

And I'll tell you what, Gabby, if I had not been so practiced [laughs] in having to evolve

and adapt from my previous years, it could have been some really bad news for me even

with decent health insurance.

The monetary responsibility that I needed to pay as a result of my health crisis was

huge, and had I not been able to prepare for that, in my previous years and my previous

adaptive, adaptability, I would have been -- oof, I shudder to think.

I shudder to think.

Gabby: There, there's a weird piece of me that worries, worries in a past tense, but

if you hadn't sort of used business brain in your approach to cancer, and how you went

about adapting, changing, evolving, and sort of just going, "OK, but this is what we

are doing next," would you still be here?

Anne: Yeah.

Gabby: Would the fight in you have been there?

Would it have been enough to get you through it?

Anne: You mean be here in the voiceover industry or --

Gabby: I mean literally be with us.

Yeah because --

Anne: You know --

Gabby: Sometimes it can be that big a deal.

If people don't have that fight, if they don't have that ability to move quickly -- I know

this from personal experience and had this happen where, you know, someone got a diagnosis.

And it was like denial.

Anne: Yes.

Gabby: "This isn't happening, this isn't real, this isn't going on."

And so they kind of shoved their illness, you know, under the rug, and, well, guess

what?

They are not here anymore.

They are not with us.

Anne: Good point, Gabby.

It's a good point.

Gabby: It was too late by the time they were willing to take action.

The illness was too far gone.

So that is sort of how I see it, you know, that adaptability is fast-moving.

Anne: Wow, thank you, Gabby, you just got me like, I'm, I'm a little emotional right

here because, you know what, honestly that is, that is really a thing.

Gabby: It is.

Anne: I often thought that, I often thought that, you know, afterward, if I were to do

anything to help people or to talk about, you know, my experience with cancer, it would

be to not put your head in the sand, and to just take action.

Gabby: Totally.

Anne: And to be proactive.

You are right.

Maybe that really served me well in my business.

My business experience served me well in my health crisis, and my health crisis served

me well in my business.

Wow, I just got chills.

That was like an epiphany.

[laughs]

Gabby: I see it this way, your husband as well.

I know he's got a hell of a business brain.

Right?

You're both used to that.

Sometimes people marvel at me and my husband and the same thing like how quickly we just

shift to gear and go "OK, this is now what has to happen."

They are like, "man, how do you guys do that?"

And we're like, "you know what?

Now is not the time.

This is not the time to cry.

This is not the time to fold."

We don't curl up on the couch and hide under the blankie.

We got to do this first.

Anne: Right.

And then there will be time for that later if you need to.

Gabby: Yes.

We can totally sit there and eat ice cream in our PJ's --

Anne: Exactly.

Gabby: And watch, you know, "The Notebook" later.

Anne: Yeah, yeah.

Gabby: Which, really funny, my husband loves "The Notebook."

I freaking hate it.

[both laugh]

Gabby: He loves it.

He gets all teary-eyed and I'm like, "this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in my

life."

Anne: All right, I love that movie.

[laughs]

Gabby: Good.

Anne: Oh my God, that's too cute.

Gabby: You two can watch "The Notebook" together.

Gerry and I will go watch like, you know, Bruce Willis blow something up.

Anne: Ok, this is a different episode now.

Anyway.

Gabby: All right, back on track.

Back to adapting, yes.

Anne: I just talked about a major life event which really, it is so interesting what an

epiphany that was.

Huge.

But let's just talk about like things on any event day, right?

So I also had the experience where I had an audio engineer that was, you know, processing

files for me who happened to have kind of an emotional meltdown in the middle of it

all after I was -- I had promised a client that I would have the files to them on a certain

date.

And so all of a sudden, I was left without an audio engineer.

So what do you do?

How do you handle it, how do you prepare for these things, Gabby?

Gabby: [laughs] I'd love to be able to say, "oh, of course you prepare for them."

You do and you don't.

What I mean by that is that on one hand, OK, you prepare in the sense that, as a good entrepreneur,

you are always looking for backups.

Anne: mmm.

Gabby: You don't ever see anything or anyone as permanent.

That kind of pains me a little bit like when I think of my staff, because I love them,

but nothing is permanent.

Everyone will at some point move on from their business relationship with you.

Clients are not permanent.

Support staff isn't permanent.

Vendors, nothing.

So as you go through the systems and the things that become the life blood, like the circulatory

system of your business, you are always kind of like," oh, I should remember that.

Oh, maybe I will make a little note about this person.

Oh right.

This guy over here also does this thing."

Just so you have answers, should something happen.

You never want to dismiss somebody.

I find that to be a very big thing.

Like it's easy to dismiss.

It's easy to go, "oh, you edit audio?

No, I have an editor, he's great.

I love him.

No, I don't need" -- never.

Anne: Yes, always have a backup.

Gabby: Never, never.

It never fails that the person you dismiss is then the one that you're crawling to in

a couple months going, "hey, so remember when I said I'd never need you?

Hi."

Anne: You know, I think, Gabby, that goes along with the number one rule in technology

is to always have a backup.

Do you have a backup plan for, let's say that your computer goes kaput one day, and you

need to record something, you know, in the next hour for your client?

Do you have a backup in place?

Gabby: So let's address like what happened with you and your editor.

You knew immediately that you had multiple people, including me, that you could reach

out to and go, "I need a solution, and I need it now."

Anne: Thankfully.

Yes, I did.

I did.

Gabby: And it was actually, relatively painless, easy kind of fix because you were able to

-- you poached my editor.

That's what happened.

Anne: I did, I did.

Gabby: [laughs]

Anne: I went frantically screaming to you.

"Gabby!

Oh my God.

Something horrible happened."

Gabby: Easy fix.

Anne: Yes.

Gabby: Easy fix.

So with tech and with equipment, I think your ability to adapt is relative to the amount

of money in your bank account versus the amount of planning that you have done.

And this is really important for people to understand.

If you have the money for unexpected expenses, if you have the safety net, the savings account,

then not so bad.

Right?

Like, it's an easy solution.

I have to overnight a piece of gear.

I have to --

Anne: Yup.

Gabby: -- go and buy something right this freaking minute, even though I don't want

to, but I have had that happen many a time.

Anne: Well, OK, I'm going to say if you can, try and plan for that.

I think that that should be something, over the years in your business, you should plan

for backups, at least a secondary place or a secondary equipment, absolutely.

And when you can afford it, you need to make that commitment to make the investment.

Gabby: Bingo.

Part of it is going, "I've, I've got the time.

I have a little bit of extra cash."

Do I really want to buy a second interface?

No, no one really wants to buy a second interface, but should I?

Anne: Yeah.

Gabby: My interface is $1000.

It's the Apollo Twin.

I don't have a spare Apollo Twin kicking around.

Anne: Right.

Gabby: That's stupid.

Anne: But there's nothing wrong with getting, you know, a backup version.

Use your travel version for your backup maybe.

Gabby: Whatever it is.

I have other options in the studio.

But if I didn't have those already, I would just go out and buy like a $200 or under USB

interface.

Anne: Absolutely.

Gabby: Hook it up, test it, it works, OK, great.

You are just going to sit here for when.

It is not if, guys.

It's when.

Anne: It is when, because ultimately it will happen.

I'm telling you.

And your third backup, right, your third backup is a studio in which you can go to in the

event of an emergency.

Gabby: Yes.

That's just the smart planning, right?

That's just the know your environment, know your options, know where you can go, who you

can go to.

Even if it's another voice actor.

Anne: Yeah.

Gabby: I have four different people that I could call in an immediate Hail Mary, oh my

God, I need your help.

Anne: The Hail Mary moment.

Gabby: They would gladly opened up their studio to me and be like, "yeah, yeah, come on

in.

Let's do this, let's knock this thing out."

Anne: Exactly.

And now, what are you going to do, here is another one, not just equipment failure.

That could be computer, that could be Interface, that could be microphone, that could be whatever.

What about Internet?

What about the Internet?

When your Internet provider goes down, do you have a secondary connection?

I do.

Gabby: I've dealt with it.

I had it happened just this past year, right?

I had almost a week that I didn't have stable, functioning Internet.

I knew every business within a 10-mile radius of me --

Anne: mm-hmm.

Gabby: -- that I could go to, or if need be, I could sit there and camp out, and in essence

create a mobile office --

Anne: Yes.

Gabby: -- to be able to work and not be kicked out.

I know where the co-op workspaces are, the cooperative workspaces are in my immediate

area, so I could always go to one of those if I had to and pay like a day rate to get

into a suite.

Anne: And you could have your iPhone as a hotspot.

Gabby: That's the other one, you know, the hotspot phone because that was actually the

one I didn't have in place.

Anne: Oh, that's great to have in place.

Gabby: Now I have it.

Anne: Especially if there are Internet outages, and you are depending on your Internet provider

to, you know, resolve the issue.

Gabby: Right.

Anne: There is up and down and you know, it's up today and it's down tomorrow, so always

being able to switch on the fly through a phone hotspot is really, like, that has saved

me more than -- I can't even tell you how many times that has saved me.

Gabby: The title of this episode or what we're talking about, you could call it preparedness,

I guess.

Some people would see it as being a good Boy Scout, but no, I really do think that adaptability

is what's so key.

Anne: I think you're prepared.

I think you prepare as much as you can for those things that you know.

And for those things that you don't know, then you need adaptability.

Gabby: And what's, what's the old expression, it's expect the best, prepare the worst?

Anne: There you go, exactly.

Gabby: I will tell you because this happened to me very recently.

Really the catalyst for this episode.

For those of you who have followed our podcast and are fans, you have heard me many times

sing the praises of FreshBooks, my accounting software.

Anne: Ahh yes.

Gabby: Right?

You guys have heard me go on and on about this thing and how much I love it.

Yeahhh.

Anne: [laughs]

Gabby: So...

Anne: I know what happened.

Gabby: And it happened very abruptly.

Anne: It sure did.

Gabby: There was no warning.

They made some platform upgrades.

They had switched a bunch of things.

They had made a bunch of improvements.

Well, here's the thing.

I tried the new platform.

I really wasn't digging it, then I received an email letting me know that in 30 days,

my account was going to cease to exist, and be mitigated over to their new version, which

I hated, and with a significant rate increase.

Anne: Yep.

Gabby: A rate increase that was almost 50%.

So this, this piece of technology, this website subscription was like my life blood.

I'm in this thing so many times in a day.

I'm constantly using it to deal with accounts receivable, accounts payable, check on, you

know, outstanding invoices, look at sales figures, numbers.

In that moment, it was like somebody took my arm off.

I called my accountant.

My accountant and I had a consult about Xero, which is another similar type of program.

However, it's built in a way that's a little bit more compliant for the IRS and specifically

for accountants, so a little bit more complicated than I was used to.

Turns out it was only going to cost me $14 a month to upgrade my Xero package and be

able to switch over to that.

Anne: And there you go.

Gabby: And it took us, it actually took three months to mitigate.

It was not possible in the 30 days.

I contacted FreshBooks, and I explained this to them.

And I said, look, I need an extension.

They gave me a two-month extension, at the rate I was paying.

So I no longer use FreshBooks.

I'm still very sad.

Anne: [laughs] There's a lot of people that are very sad, but that will happen, and you

know what?

I think that that's another great piece of advice is not just your equipment hardware.

You should always have backups.

And I'm going to talk to you about websites.

Gabby: Oh geez.

Anne: If I haven't said it 100 trillion times before, you must, must, must have a backup

of your website on your local computer or locally somewhere, or in your cloud, whatever

it is.

Have your web designer do it.

Have your hosting provider do it.

Create that backup.

You must have it.

Because if for whatever reason your web designer decides to disappear, or your hosting provider

decides to [laughs] up your prices, which, I will tell you what, mine did, and I ended

up leaving that platform as well and had to adjust and adapt.

Gabby: There's a point in time where, no matter how much you love a product, or how convenient

the service is, you really stop, and you have to go, "wait a second.

What am I paying for now?"

It may or may not make sense, and that's the position I found myself in with FreshBooks.

Anne: Yeah.

Gabby: I wanted to keep them, but I couldn't justify it.

Anne: And you know what else, this really leads in a nice segue into our industry's

evolving.

You also need to adapt and evolve with the industry.

There are things happening in this industry that none of us like, that we might want to

go in the corner and cry and say, "no, no, no!

I can't make a living anymore."

But honestly, guys, you have to keep your eyes open.

I say this multiple times.

Keep your eyes open to what's happening in the industry and evolve, and adapt, and change

with it.

Because otherwise, you're going to be left in the dust, and this won't be a career for

you.

It will be a hobby at best.

Gabby: Really, really stellar point.

For as many people as I see on social media right now, just wahh wahh wahh wahh wahh and

boo-hooing about the pay-to-play climate and all of that nonsense, I know just as many

voice actors who were like, "well, OK.

Here's what we're gonna do."

Anne: Yeah.

Gabby: And they canceled their subscriptions, and they basically said sayonara to pay-to-play.

They switched some things around.

They, they adapted.

Anne: Yeah.

Gabby: And yet they're doing perfectly fine, and everybody's like, hey, pay-to-play what,

who, what are we talking about?

What's the issue?

Anne: Yeah, superpower, guys, superpower.

Gabby: And you have it.

You have it.

Anne: You have it.

We all do.

Gabby: You may be too emotionally tied at that moment to see it, and that's it.

You just have to kind of remove yourself, take the emotions out of it if you can, put

your business britches on.

Anne: [laughs] Put your big business britches on.

Gabby: Exactly.

Anne: I like that.

That's a new quote.

Put your big business britches on.

Gabby: [laughs]

Anne: Bitches.

Gabby: Your boss undies.

Put your big boss panties on.

[laughs]

Anne: Put your big boss panties on because you guys, it is entirely possible.

I'd like to give a shout out to our sponsor, ipDTL.

We love, love, love ipDTL.

How much do we love ipDTL, Gabby?

Gabby: All the love.

But You're Not King!...Not Yet | Marvel's Thor (2011) - Duration: 3:56.

The Frost Giants!

THOR: The Jotuns must pay for what they've done!

They have paid, with their lives.

The Destroyer did its work,

the Casket is safe, and all is well.

All is well?

They broke into the weapons vault!

If the Frost Giants had stolen even one of these relics...

- They didn't. - Well, I want to know why!

I have a truce with Laufey, King of the Jotuns.

He just broke your truce! They know you are vulnerable!

What action would you take?

March into Jotunheim as you once did. Teach them a lesson.

Break their spirits

so they'll never dare try to cross our borders again.

You're thinking only as a warrior.

This was an act of war!

It was the act of but a few, doomed to fail.

Look how far they got!

We will find the breach in our defences and it will be sealed.

As King of Asgard...

But you're not king!

Not yet.

It's unwise to be in my company right now, Brother.

This was to be my day of triumph.

It'll come.

In time.

What's this?

If it's any consolation, I think you're right.

About the Frost Giants, about Laufey, about everything.

If they found a way to penetrate Asgard's defences once,

who's to say they won't try again?

- Next time with an army. - Exactly.

There's nothing you can do without defying Father.

No, no, no. I know that look.

That's the only way to ensure the safety of our borders.

Thor, it's madness.

Madness? What sort of madness?

We're going to Jotunheim.

VOLSTAGG: What?

This isn't like a journey to Earth

where you summon a little lightning and thunder,

and the mortals worship you as a god.

This is Jotunheim.

My father fought his way into Jotunheim,

defeated their armies and took their Casket.

We would just be looking for answers.

It is forbidden!

My friends, have you forgotten all that we have done together?

Fandral, Hogun.

Who led you into the most glorious of battles?

You did.

And Volstagg, to delicacies so succulent,

you thought you'd died and gone to Valhalla?

You did.

Yes!

And who proved wrong all who scoffed at the idea

that a young maiden could be one of the fiercest warriors

this realm has ever known?

I did.

True, but I supported you, Sif.

My friends,

we're going to Jotunheim.

5304464438 Replacing Your Refrigerator's Compressor Run Capacitor - AP4315853, PS2333670 - Duration: 3:06.

Hi, my name is Bill, and today am going to be showing you how to replace

the compressor run capacitor on your refrigerator.

the reason you might have to do this is because your refrigerator won't start, your fridge

or freezer is too warm or your refrigerator is making an unusual noise.

This repair you will need a quarter-inch nut driver and a pair of needle-nose pliers.

Warning, before doing any repairs please disconnect your power source.

For this demonstartion I will be using an Electrolux refrigerator this is a side-by-side fridge.

Keep in mind your fridge might be a little different but the same techniques should still apply.

So to begin this repair we are going to turn our fridge around.

And we are going to take off the panel on the bottom of the fridge.

We are going to take off the four screws holding on this panel.

Alright, now that we got those four screws off we can take the panel off.

Take the panel off, and set that to the side. This would be our run capacitor right here.

To take that off, we just have to undo this medal chip with the pair of needle nose pliers.

So now we have the run capacitor out now we just have to make sure we unhook it from the

little plastic clip right here.

Attached right through there, so we pull it straight out.

Now, grab your new OEM replacement run capacitor.

If you do not have one already you can find one on our online store.

So we are going to get this black clip, we are going to line it up with the black plastic piece here.

That holds it in. And then we will plug it in.

Just like that.

Take our needle nose pliers put it back in and clip it on.

Line up all the holes.

Screw that back in.

We can turn the fridge back around and your repair is complete.

Finally, do not forget to plug in your appliance.

If you need to replace any parts for your appliances you can find an OEM replacement

part on our website PCappliancerepair.com.

K-12 Release 13.08 - Duration: 4:01.

Hi! My name is Bob and I'm part of the K12 Content Design and Development team at Blackbaud.

Let's take a look at what's new for the July 25 release.

Core

As promised, a new top navigation experience was released to all schools on July 9th.

It does not impact users with a single consistent persona (such as a student). However, admin users and users with multiple

personas (such as a parent who is also faculty) are impacted.

To switch to between personas and capabilities, use the menu in the upper left of each page. Previously, this menu was in the

top right corner.

You'll also notice that product names have been replaced by descriptive capabilities. For example, instead of selecting onBoard, you'll

now select Enrollment management.

Additionally, related functions were renamed and grouped together. For example, you'll use the Academics capability to manage

Attendance, Conduct, Grades, Scheduling, and more.

For additional tips and tricks, check out the user community.

If you want a little help to get oriented or find something that moved, search the map.

Academics

Schools now have access to our new Report Card Builder. The Report Card Builder is a drag and drop interface that allows schools to see a

visual representation of the report card while they build it. We have also added some new features to the report card builder this month.

Under Header, schools now have the ability to add student photos to report cards.

Under Details, Schools have the ability to add Academic Performance to report cards.

Teachers can now award extra credit points or deduct points from an assignment. When inside the Gradebook, teachers can override any

grade currently listed in the cell even if the grade was automatically determined by the Rubric calculation.

This override feature only pertains to rubrics using points and excludes comment only rubrics.

Parents and students now see a message under the points earned inside the rubric that a manual adjustment has been made to the

grade.

Teachers can now assign the same assignment multiple times through the course of a term.

From Add Assignment, teachers can select an option to only create one instance of the assignment or multiple versions of it.

Please note that this option is not available for assignments that already exist.

We've added an option to enable teachers to allow students to resubmit files for assignments as often as needed until the due date is met.

Select Allow resubmit until due date from Assignment details to enable this feature.

Students can now add a task to their Assignment Center. Select Add task to enter task details, the class its intended for and a

due date if necessary.

After selecting Save, a new task with the status of To do appears in the list.

Student submitted files from Google Drive are now automatically shared with the teachers of the class based on Core profile email.

Dorm supervisors now have access to Grading, enabling them to run reports.

Enrollment management

The SAO import process now accepts three new file types: Teacher Recommendations, Test Scores, and Transcripts.

These files are then displayed and can be opened through a PDF within the File Upload process center and User Profile for each

student or candidate.

Admissions managers can now add miscellaneous file types to Candidate profile settings as well as candidate checklist step

From Enrollment management, select Admissions, Admissions setup, and then Candidate profile settings to edit the

Miscellaneous File Types. After adding the file type name, you can make it active or delete existing file types from here.

These files can then be added, edited, or deleted from the record area of a candidate profile.

Parents of candidates can also now upload miscellaneous file types to a checklist step once its set up by an admissions manager.

Remember to check out the release letter for details about features mentioned in this video

and information about additional new features and enhancements.

As always, thanks for watching!

241993001 - Replacing Your Refrigerator's Rear Crisper Support - AP4393090, PS2358879 - Duration: 3:45.

Hi my name is Bill

and today I'm going to be showing you how to replace the rear crisper support in your fridge.

The reason why you would have to do this

is because the support is broken and your crisper drawer is sagging.

Fr this repair you'll need a Flathead screwdriver, a hammer, and a putty knife.

WARNING!

Before doing any repairs please disconnect your power source.

For this demonstration I'll be using an Electrolux refrigerator, this is a side-by-side fridge.

Keep in mind though that your fridge might be a little bit different bu the same technique

should still apply.

So, we're going to start by opening the fridge here.

We're going to pull out a few drawers just to get them out of our way.

Take this one out here.

There we go

that was easier.

Just be careful you might want to take this out separately because there is another piece

of glass right here.

So i'll be replacing this one right here.

So what we have to do, is there is a little tab right in the middle here.

I'm gonna need a Flathead screwdriver and a hammer and we're just going to push that through all the way.

Now that the tab is pushed through, we're going to take our putty knife right here and

we're just going to try and get right underneath this and we're going to pry it off.

Just try to be careful because it could come flying off

just because of it lays in there.

There we go.

Just like that.

Okay so now what I'm going to do is because that little tab's in there really deep.

We can't really pull it out so I'm just going to use a screwdriver to move the tab out of

our way.

Just like that.

Now i'm going to grab my new OEM replacement support.

If you don't have one already you can find one on our online store.

Alright, so now were just going to line this up with the holes from our other one and push

that right in.

Just like that.

And we're going tot take our hammer, we going to knock the top peg all the way in.

That's nice and flush there.

And now we can put our shelves back in.

And we can put the drawer back in.

That's nice and sturdy.

Now we'll close the door and our repair is complete.

Finally don't forget to plug in your appliance.

If you need to replace any parts for your appliances you can find an oem replacement

part on our website PCApplianceRepair.com
