Trump Admin Hid Report Showing Wells Fargo Ripping Off Students - Duration: 5:05.

The folks that Politico have gotten their hands on a report from the Trump administration

showing that banking giant Wells Fargo has been ripping off college students across the

United States for quite some time now.

Now, the reason I say political got their hands on it is because the Trump administration

didn't want to release it.

In fact, they had actually completed this report a very long time ago and they buried

it.

Politico had to file a Freedom of Information Act request in order to get their hands on

this report, showing just how corrupt Wells Fargo truly is and here's what we found out.

First and foremost, this report was put together by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

and yes, it says right there and their name, they're the bureau in the federal government

that's supposed to be protecting consumers from financial scams and crimes, which is

exactly what was outlined in this particular report that they decided not to release to

the public and it's a big one.

Here's what happened.

Wells Fargo, as other banks do, they make deals with colleges so that colleges will

promote this bank to their students saying, hey, come get a student Visa card, a student

Mastercard, debit card, whatever it is with this particular bank, they're one of our partners,

you know, maybe you get a discount in the bookstore, the coffee shop here on campus,

uh, whatever it is, use this bank instead of other banks.

Wells Fargo is one of the banks that was paying colleges to go out there and tell their students

to use their services instead of their competitors.

And Wells Fargo was also charging in some instances more than four times the amount

to students in annual fees than all of the other cards.

In fact, Wells Fargo making up only 25 percent of the entire student debit card a racket.

They still pulled in the majority, more than half of the annual fees that students in the

United States we're paying.

This is not completely legal now, unfortunately under current rules, it's also not completely

illegal.

However, there are rules in place that structure the amount of annual fees that these cards

are able to charge to students.

Now, according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, they didn't release it to the public

because they felt they didn't need to.

What they did was they sent it to the Department of Education and just let them handle it so

now you can go out there and punish Wells Fargo if you want.

You can revoke their, you know, ability to go to college campuses and sell their scam

services to students.

And the Department of Education didn't do anything with it.

So we really have no way of knowing if this spokesperson from the CFPB actually did give

the report to the Department of Education, which as we all know is overseen by Betsy

DeVos.

So there is a zero percent chance that any consequences will be felt by Wells Fargo.

And this is how it goes folks, and I hate to kind of bring it back to this, but the

reason we're even in this situation today where banks think it's cool to get away with

things like this or it's cool to scam students who are already having to borrow to pay for

the rising cost of admission.

It's because none of them ever get punished.

We had the prime opportunity in January of 2009.

We had all the evidence.

We had all the documents, the civil law suits were already flying and uncovering everything

that these banks had done that was illegal.

And yet January 2009 justice department headed up by Eric Holder did nothing, did nothing,

did not hold them accountable, did not send anyone to jail.

Nothing happened.

And the reason I say that, that could have changed the way things are today.

Think back to the savings and loan scandals in the eighties.

What happened there?

Well, hell Reagan through more than 600 bankers in jail, 600 bankers in jail.

Have we had a savings and loan crisis since then?

Nope.

Not saying that 100 percent solved the problem, but it sent a very clear message to bankers

that if you do something illegal, we're going to put you in prison.

That message hasn't been sent since the 19 eighties and neither party apparently right

now is willing to send that message today and until that message is sent, we're going

to see more criminal activities from these banks.

We're going to see them rip off consumers left and right because we now have a Consumer

Financial Protection Bureau that is completely toothless and unwilling to even do their job.

So yeah, expect more crimes, expect more fraud, and expect more scams until we get somebody

in the US Department of Justice that isn't afraid to put a white collar criminal in prison.

"I have a question about dividend yields.

I often see them written out as a percentage; for instance, I see on Fool.com that AT&T

currently has a dividend yield of 6.2%. Is that equivalent to an interest rate?

With banks still paying less than 2%, a 6% interest rate sounds great, but I'm not sure

if a dividend yield is essentially the same thing?"

Jason Moser: That's a good question and in short it is essentially the same thing in

that you are either going to get paid for having your money in a savings account

or with a CD, or you're going to get paid by a company who offers a dividend for hanging

onto their stock.

Now typically a company is going to pay a dividend four times a year -- once every quarter

-- and that rate or that percentage that you see [with] the yield is based on the amount

that they pay out compared to the stock price.

That can certainly fluctuate, but generally speaking, particularly in today's interest

rate environment, dividends are a far more attractive option.

I think they will be that way for some time to come because even though rates will continue

to go up, they will go up fairly slowly and generally speaking, these companies that pay

dividends are pretty reliable.

Their business models produce some pretty reliable cash flows that allow them to keep

paying those dividends and often times raising those dividends.

So if you really want to find the awesome dividend companies, you look for the Dividend Aristocrats,

and those are the companies that have grown those dividends for long periods of time.

I think the qualifier is at 25 years? Is it 30?

I have to double-check that, but they have a very long-established track record of growing

those dividends on an annual basis.

We'll probably hit a point in time where interest rates become a little bit more attractive

and when that happens, you're very likely to see some of those dividend stock prices

take a little bit of a hit as money starts to flow towards more risk-free assets.

And I think as an investment strategy, on the whole, it's always a good idea to

plan on owning some good, staid dividend payers for long periods of time.

Google Docs Using Styles for Outlining - Duration: 4:08.

many people can remember learning how to do outlines in school and I'd like to

show you that I believe Google has created kind of like an updated outline

that you might want to use with your students and I'm going to show you going

to Google Drive we're gonna go to new and I'm going to do a new Google Doc

for titling this is where I'm going to show you how to start to use the outlining

feature actually going to navigate up here to styles you may have seen this

before it says normal text I'm going to use a title for this and I'm going to

call this Google Docs and if you've never known this when you do a title if

you type it first and then you tap up here for the title document title it

will put it up there for you I'm going to Center this for us so now I have a

document title now I'm going to do heading 1 so it's going to do it

slightly different and I'm going to call it using styles and by using styles I

can help organize a document and notice I did a style at this point I did not do

a style here this is just normal text when I go down here and I'd like to do a

new heading 1 notice it gives me a little space so it's starting to help me

to organize it here we're going to talk about viewing the outline because

viewing the outline helps to see the layout of the paper and this can help

your students and so I'm going to navigate up to view and it says show

document outline and you're going to notice it does do the title slightly

bigger and then it does those main points it doesn't do the sub points that

I didn't in there so I'm going to go back over here and I'm going to do now

another heading and I call it changing the style so if this is

not necessarily a font for you I think I want to something a little bit different

and how about I'm gonna use come for da and actually I want that for every

single heading one I'm going to navigate back up here to my Styles and heading

one there's a little arrow and I'm going to say update heading 1 to match so now

all my heading ones will be that hmm this is kind of cool now I'm gonna go

ahead and I'm gonna do a heading 2 and I'm gonna do some points down here maybe

talk about font size oh this one I forgot to select so heading to size I'm

gonna do color as well but I'll show you how that works so for font and size I'm

gonna select these um I can switch the font let's say I want something a little

more fun that's to cookie and I want to do oh in between here I'm gonna actually

do size 20 so I can customize that and I would like to do it in let's say a

purple color so that's what I would like so again I go back up to the style I go

to heading 2 and I go to update so when I do the next one here and I do a

heading 2 I'm gonna say that it can also do color so notice again this is

starting to show me the outline right here this can be very helpful for

students writing papers or even you organizing some of the materials that

you have so maybe take a look at Google's updated outlining features and

you by using styles and this can hopefully help you take 2 4 tech and

save some time
