Youtube daily Dec 11 2018

Oh~ hello everyone. I'm terribly sorry.

After I told you that I'll first use this google pixel 3 XL and then review it,

the review was delayed because iPad, Mac and so on were released continuously.

I'll go straight to the pros and cons.

Firstly, I will talk about the pros. The camera is extremely superb.everyone.

You just need to see one thing to find out whether the camera is good or not.

You just need to think whether I take pictures with this phone or not.

I take an awful lot of pictures with this.

Frankly, the cameras of iPhone10S, Note9

cannot be compared to this one.

These also have good camera.

Then what's so good with this thing? The best thing is unlimited saving of google photo original file.

This is more than expected, a huge merit.

If you take picture with another phone, you lower the resolution a bit

so this offers a function of high resolution unlimited saving

Honestly, that's enough, what do you need more.

I thought, but when I saw this saved as an original file

it's different, the file saved in original, seeing the picture taken by this

definitely, the resolution goes less lower though I expand it

Even when I don't expand it, the picture taken by this feels somewhat clearer.

Also, it also backups the original files of the video taken by this

I think this will be somewhat burdensome,

so I'm not taking a lot of photos with it.

Needless to say the night shot function when it is dark

when you take a picture of a person, the background flies away, you know that right?

This also, when you take a picture with this, it has the lowest probability for you to fail.

iPhone and Note also have a figure mode function which erases the background but,

strangely, I use that function a lot more when using the pixel than using this.

And second, it has great speed.

Since it is pure Android

the speed itself is really fast. But to that extent, there are not as many functions.

So, if you like Quick speed without unnecessary function, then you choose pure Android

although it is slow a bit, I like so and so convenience function, then you choose Galaxy

I think it goes like this.

And limited to Japanese version, it is really convenient that electronic payment is available.

Apple pay supports Suica and apple pay,

If you see this, Suica, Nanaco

Rakuten Edy, WAON and so on, it supports a lot of things.

That's it for the pros. The cons have made me disappointed.

Sometimes, everyone, when your phone notifies you.

the screen turns on, but no matter how I see

the notification hasn't arrived, yet the screen turns on, do you know why?

New notification pops up far down there.

If you want to find the new notification that has arrived

you should scroll down, and see, oh, a Kakaotalk message has arrived. This is the only way for you to know.

Secondly, if you see here, you lift the phone

and there is the option that makes the screen to turn on, but you can't even turn it off.

But the problem is, although the option is on

it doesn't turn off even though you lift it up like this.

So what? This

has never happened with iPhone.

The screen has always turned on when I lifted it.

It has never turned off.

But one more important thing is when you lift the phone like this

even though it doesn't turns on, if you walk around holding this in your hand

it turns on because it is pressed by your fingers

some kind of sound rings and if you see it

it is playing youtube by itself, it does this kind of thing.

I suffer from this kind of episode at least two or three times a day every time.

I'm so mad that I might even die of anger.

Thirdly, the clicking feeling of the power button

is really awfully bad.

If you see foreign tech channel, there is a channel called MKBHD.

He is a fella who really eagerly uploads the youtube.

In my opinion, he is pretty good but

I don't know if it is because he is young but he slightly lacks maturity.

So as time passes,

as he gets older, naturally

it will be improved, so I'm cheering for him from far distance.

That fella said that the clicking feeling of the pixel button is not good so

Oh, how bad is the clicking feeling of the cell phone button

so that he is doing a review like that, but when I touched it,

I knew why he did that kind of review.

This clicking feeling of this button

is the worst clicking feeling that you can know only when you click it for yourself.

The fourth con is somewhat trivial but

in the back, the material is just this material

hard to explain, very peculiar

the feeling when you touch it is good but,

this glue here, extremely doesn't stick.

so the ring product that I usually use or

like the Sinji Pouch, you stick it to the back

you put in the card and you put in your finger in the string

and make the feeling of grip better, the products like these

you can't use it although you paste it here because it falls off soon.

Thanks to that, I once dropped it off badly.

Here and here, you can see the dents

In conclusion, this phone is big

but you can't attach something like ring so maneuverability is very low.

Most of all, when you walk around holding this, it unlocks by itself

plays youtube, plays the app, and I get so irritated by that.

For that reason only, I really want to change my phone.

If I could, I would like to go back to the Note 9 but

since it is Korean version of Note

I can't use public transportation card, credit card or pay in Japan

so I'm just thinking maybe I should use iPhone again.

Thank you for watching the video for today too and I'll see you at the next video everyone.

That Time John Mulaney Took Pete Davidson to a Steely Dan Concert - Duration: 7:16.

-Congratulations.

You won an Emmy since I saw you last for your special on Netflix

"Kid Gorgeous at Radio City."

-Yeah, thank you. [ Cheers and applause ]

-Not bad. Come on. -That's great.

-How exciting is that?

-It was so exciting.

-That's a big deal.

-It was such a -- It was so genuinely exciting.

-It was a great special. So funny.

-Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.

-And, you know, they're looking for a host of the Oscars.

And there's a -- there's a -- there's a list.

I saw your name on the list.

[ Applause ]

Yeah, and I go -- -Who made the list?

-No, it's very legit.

-My mom and -- [ Laughter ]

-Very legit online -- whatever you call those things.

-An online list? -An online list.

And it's on an online list.

-Oh, my gosh. That's crazy.

-No, yeah. Would you ever consider hosting the --

-I mean, yeah, but, like, you know.

You got to think about the ratings.

[ Laughter ]

I'd be genuinely concerned, like -- I'd walk out there.

And you cut to, like, Angelina Jolie.

She's like checking the playbill to be like, "Who is this guy?"

[ Laughter ]

-I'm not sure they have a playbill.

-They don't have a playbill? -No, not at the Oscars.

-Oh, they should have a playbill.

They can have little ads for other shows and things.

[ Laughter ]

-I want to quickly mention.

You're doing this event with Jerry Seinfeld tonight.

-Yes. -What is it again?

-It's a benefit, also with Mr. Steve Higgins, for the

David Lynch Transcendental Meditation Foundation,

where they teach -- yeah.

-Yeah, yeah, sure. [ Applause ]

-They do a lot of great work doing, you know, free lessons,

teaching meditation at schools and all around the world.

-How long have you known --

Are you friends with Jerry Seinfeld or no?

-Oh, I got to meet him for the first time

at that "SNL" 40th anniversary thing.

-Oh, yeah. -Because I came in.

And I wrote a bit that he got to do

where he took questions from the audience.

-They asked you to write a bit? -They asked me to write a bit.

And I said, "Who is doing the bit?"

And they said, "Seinfeld." I've never met him before.

And so I e-mailed him, and I said, you know,

"Here's my first draft. Please be gentle.

You're a very big deal to me."

And he wrote back, "I'm sure it's fine.

This is gonna be really fun...for you."

[ Laughter ]

And we had a great time doing that "SNL" 40th Q&A.

And I got to do

his "Comedians In Cars Drinking Coffee" show.

So, yeah, I love Jerry Seinfeld very much.

I looked up to him forever.

-He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever want to meet.

And gosh, is he funny.

-It's very cool to get to actually

hang around with him sometimes.

-He's brilliant, yeah. -Yeah.

-I mean, have you done other things that haven't been filmed?

-Yes, I actually --

I wanted to see Bob Dylan at the Beacon.

-Oh. -And I got some tickets.

And I just -- I was gonna go with Pete Davidson.

And we had an extra ticket.

And I asked Jerry Seinfeld, "Do you want to see Bob Dylan?"

Just threw it out there.

And he was like, "Yeah, what time?"

And it was great.

So me, Jerry, and Pete Davidson went.

-No way. -Yeah.

-I'm sorry. Does Pete Davidson have any idea who Bob Dylan is?

-Yes, he does. [ Laughter ]

-Okay.

-However, he said, "I do not know one of these songs."

-Yeah.

-And during "Like A Rolling Stone," I turned to him

and I said, "This is a very famous song."

And he said, "Okay." [ Laughter ]

-But then you also took Pete Davidson --

-Oh, yes.

I've been going on a series of concerts with Pete Davidson.

-I want to do this next time.

-I love him very much. And he's a wonderful friend.

-Pete, he's a nice guy.

-He's just great to go out with.

And so I go see Steely Dan, hold for applause, every year.

[ Laughter ]

And so they're at the Beacon Theatre in New York.

Steely Dan, all right, Steely Dan.

Look it up. Steely Dan.

-I know who Steely Dan is. Yeah, sure.

-Yeah, yeah, don't be so sure about it.

-People at home are -- -Yeah, so I go every year.

My roommate, my old roommate -- 'cause I'm married now.

[ Laughter ]

-You call your wife your old roommate?

-Yes. -Oh, my gosh.

[ Laughter ]

That's the worst nickname for your wife ever.

"My old roommate."

-That's worse than Mike Pence calling his wife "mother," yeah.

[ Laughter ]

Oh, old roommate.

-Oh, old roommate. There you are again.

-But my former roommate from college, Kevin and I,

we go to see Steely Dan every year.

We loved Steely Dan since we were in college.

And when I met my now wife,

I played her some of my favorite music, which was Steely Dan.

And she said, "What is this? I hate this."

[ Laughter ]

And I said, "Well, then listen to this song."

And she said, "Oh, that's interesting.

I hate this song very much too." [ Laughter ]

So, over the years, you know, Sirius satellite radio,

channel 32, The Bridge, Steely Dan comes on.

My wife always changes it.

-Yeah. -Hates Steely Dan.

I get tickets to Steely Dan.

Kevin and I are gonna go.

We've gone 12 years in a row.

I call Pete Davidson.

I say, "You want to see Steely Dan?"

He goes, "Yes." End of call.

[ Laughter ]

Then my wife has been working really hard.

She's in graduate school.

She's been, like, working at home day and night.

And she said, "Are you going out tonight?

Because I just want to get out of the house and do something."

And I said, "I have good news and bad news."

[ Laughter ]

"Yes, I can take you somewhere. But it is to Steely Dan."

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-And she thought a moment. And she said, "Okay."

So me and my best friend, Kevin, and a woman

who has hated Steely Dan for a decade go to the Beacon Theatre.

And we run into Pete Davidson there.

Meet him in front and Pete Davidson says,

"Who is Steely Dan?" [ Laughter ]

And I said, "It's a band."

And he said, "It's not a comedian?"

[ Laughter ]

-Oh, my gosh.

He thought Steely Dan was a prop comic?

-Well, yeah, sounds like it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

-Steely Dan. -Steven Steely Dan. Yeah.

So I said, "Pete, you don't know anything about them?"

And he said, "No."

And I said, "do you know anything about pop jazz fusion?"

[ Laughter ]

And he said, "No."

And I said, "Pete, there is no way I can prepare you

for what's about to happen." -Yeah.

-And my wife took Pete by the shoulders and said,

"Pete, it's gonna be awful."

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-And we walked in.

The entire audience is not young.

[ Laughter ]

There's a lot of VIPs, though, various irate people.

And they're sitting.

And you don't stand up at a Steely Dan show.

-No. -No.

So people, like, you know, they have their purse in their lap.

And they just kind of dance in their chair like this.

And this has been the protocol for decades at the Beacon.

-Yeah. You do not stand there.

-No. One woman stood up during the song "Josie."

We hold for applause. [ Laughter ]

Everyone went, "Sit down! Sit down!"

So she sits down. -Yeah.

-And then Pete Davidson says, "I can't take this."

And he turns to the row behind him.

He goes, "If I stand, will you stand?"

And they go, "We'll stand."

And then Pete goes, "All right."

So he stands, so the row behind us stands,

so the row behind them stands.

Then he goes, "Come on!"

And then by the time they were playing "My Old School,"

the entire Beacon is on its feet.

And Anna's dancing, my wife, a woman --

so two guys who love Steely Dan,

a guy that didn't know what Steely Dan was,

and a woman who hates Steely Dan got the Beacon on their feet.

It was a Christmas miracle.

-That's what I'm talking about. Everybody, get up!

Stand up! Come on! Get up for Steely Dan!

-For Steely Dan. -For Steely Dan!

-For Steely Dan. -John Mulaney, everybody.

John Mulaney Shares NSFW Spider-Ham Outtakes from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse - Duration: 7:24.

-John Mulaney. -Hi.

-Welcome back. -Thank you, Jimmy.

-Thank you for being here.

Congrats on this movie, by the way.

"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse."

I've never seen an animated film like this ever in my lifetime.

It blew me away.

-It's an absolutely mind-blowing animated film.

It, like, combines different types of animation

'cause it's bringing together all these different universes

of different spider-men, women, and pigs in my case.

-Now you play -- which I kind of remember a little bit but --

-Do you remember the character? -I kind of a little bit, maybe.

I don't know. But there was a character.

It was all different types of spider-men,

but you play Spider-Ham.

[ Laughter ]

Spider-Ham is Peter Porker. -Yeah.

[ Laughter ]

-And was this, like, a short-lived comic book?

-Oh, no. No, no, not short-lived.

[ Laughter ]

It was -- it was a spin-off of sorts.

I think started in 1983,

and there are die-hard Spider-Ham fans out there.

-Honestly, this is such a cool thing.

I'm going in,

and I don't really know much about comic books or Spider-Man.

I know of them.

-Well, I knew nothing about the actual project

when I first started recording.

-About the project? -Oh, yeah.

So, I got a call, and I said, "Hello." You know.

[ Laughter ]

-Good for you, though. -Yeah.

[ Laughter ]

-Good improvising already. -Absolutely.

Nothing fancy, ordinary hello, right?

-No, great, hello, yeah.

-And they said, "This is a company, big company.

Do you want to be in a movie?

And we can't tell you anything about it

and we can't send you a script."

Because when it's these superhero things,

they really keep them under wraps.

So, they said, "We can't tell you anything about it.

We can't send you a script."

Which is how a lot of kidnappings begin.

[ Laughter ]

But I was available, so... [ Laughter ]

-I'm up for an adventure. Let's go for it.

-I was like, "All right. Yeah, sure. What time? Where?"

-Unmarked van. -Yeah, okay.

-Sure. Sounds cool. [ Laughter ]

-Cool. Blindfold? Fine. [ Laughter ]

So, I get to a building and, you know, it's like Los Angeles.

So it's not like a famous -- It's just a slab of concrete.

And I go in, and Rodney Rothman was there,

and he said, "Do you know what's about to happen?"

Which if it was a kidnapping is a super creepy way to begin.

[ Laughter ] -That's even worse.

"Do you know what's about to happen?"

-Yeah. These psychological games are like, "Are you prepared?"

[ Laughter ]

-No. -"For level two?"

So, they said, "We're making this film."

They explained it.

They said that the cast was insane.

-Oh, my gosh.

-Nicolas Cage, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali.

-Mahershala Ali is unbelievable.

-And Jake Johnson.

I mean, it's, like, a great group of people.

I said, "Who else are the actors in it?"

And they said, "You."

And I said "I'm scared because I've never been like --

I've never not known what a movie is

and then I'm about to be in the movie."

-Yeah, and then be in a scene with Nicolas Cage.

-Yeah, and they said, "Well, you play a superhero

who is a pig who makes --" [ Laughter ]

"Who makes nonstop outdated jokes."

And I said, "I got it." [ Laughter ]

-"Yeah, I got this nailed." -Absolutely nailed it.

It's really fun, and, like, I know this sounds like,

I'm selling it, but I kind of am, but --

-Yeah, that's why you're here, I guess.

-Yeah, I guess that is why we're really here in some way.

-Yeah, me too. Yeah.

-But it's like -- like, adults will like it

and children will like it,

and I only note that because when I was a kid

there was no movies that were for kids.

There'd be like one a year. -Yeah.

-They do like "The Little Mermaid" once a year.

And the rest of the time it was like parents would be like,

"You're going to the movies."

You'd be like, "What are we seeing?

They'll be like, "Working Girl."

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-"Just cover your eyes the whole time."

[ Laughter ]

-Your parents would take you to, like, those adult dramas?

-Yeah, yes. [ Laughter ]

-Really? -No, for real, they did.

I remember my mom and her sisters took me,

when I was maybe seven or something,

to see this movie "Regarding Henry."

Remember that? -Sure. Yeah.

-Hear the murmurs. -Oh, yeah. Harrison Ford.

-Harrison Ford, Annette Bening,

and he's shot in the head, and he has amnesia

and they're trying to rebuild their marriage.

Very adult. [ Laughter ]

-Sounds like a kid's movie. Kids love that stuff.

-I had to pee within the first five minutes,

and it's a very good Mike Nichols film.

So, my mom was like,

"I really don't want to leave, but I'll take you.

So then I come back.

Ten minutes later, I got to pee again,

and she said, "I'm not taking you to the bathroom again.

All right? I want to watch this movie."

So, I said, "Okay." I had to go.

I just waited and I just went in my jeans and --

[ Audience gasps ]

I didn't mind. And then -- [ Laughter ]

I had a little, you know, jacket, you know, kid, right?

And I tied it around my waist in front

and I walked out, and my mom said, "What's that about?"

And I said, "Well, you said we couldn't get up again.

So I peed in my jeans."

-You said that?

Yeah, and she was like, "What? Why would you do that?"

And I was like, "I don't know.

You said you wanted to watch the movie."

-Oh, my God. [ Laughter ]

What a good kid, man. -Yeah.

And also, you know, I like Mike Nichols too.

When I'm seven, I want to see. [ Laughter ]

I want to stick around.

-So, you go into this thing blind and you --

they give you a script

or do you get to improvise a little bit, or...?

-Oh. So, yes.

It is wonderfully scripted, but they did a thing

that is very generous when they say to comedy people.

They say, "Have fun with it and, you know, add your own words."

And so, for the very first session,

I'm still in fight or flight

'cause I think it's a kidnapping.

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-I did go my own way with it, and I threw in my own lines,

and what happened was I was just cursing wildly.

-Damn right.

Ah, you bastards.

And how the [bleep] is he gonna do that?

[ Laughter ]

And how the [bleep] exactly is he gonna do that?

Two days.

I've been Spider-Ham 30 [bleep] years.

[ Laughter and applause ]

-They can't use any of that?

When -- At what point did you find out --

-They were like -- they had said, "Go nuts."

So I'm like, "You mother--"

I'm screaming, and then I paused.

I went, "What is this movie rated?"

And they said, "PG."

And I said, "Oh, so, nothing I've just said is usable."

And they said, "No, but we just wanted to you have fun."

I Have Some Thoughts on This: Pope Francis' Homophobic Comments - Duration: 2:57.

-Pope Francis last week released a new book

in which he says that gay people

shouldn't be allowed to be priests.

One of our writers, Jenny Hagel, is both gay and Catholic.

So she's here to comment in a segment called

"I Have Some Thoughts On This."

[ Cheers and applause ]

-Hey, Seth.

This is Pope Francis.

When he first became Pope,

everyone was like, "This guy's cool."

He hung out with Leonardo DiCaprio.

He said all of our pets are going to heaven.

And while other Popes

have driven around in Mercedes-Benzes,

Pope Francis drives a Ford Focus.

Which probably helps with the whole celibacy thing.

[ Laughter ]

So the press dubbed him "Cool Pope."

But here's the thing.

This guy's not cool.

This guy's homophobic.

If you're not Catholic,

you're probably thinking, "Why should I care about this?"

And if you are Catholic, you're probably thinking,

"What's the latest I can leave my house

and still get to Mass on time?"

But we should all care about this

because the Pope is a world leader

who's giving people permission to be prejudiced.

I'm gay and I'm Catholic.

When I came out, some people in my family

told me that I was going to hell.

They got that idea at church.

The same church that thinks it's a good idea for 300 people

to drink out of the same cup.

[ Laughter and applause ]

Gross. That's gross.

One relative told me that because I was gay

I wasn't fit to be a parent.

And I might not be, but it's not because I'm gay.

It's because every time my 4-year-old wants to watch TV,

I lie and tell him that the TV is sleeping.

[ Laughter ]

My son is lucky he has two moms because that means

he has two people telling him, "Come here. Come here."

[ Laughter ]

This guy isn't cool.

Do you know what's cool?

Telling LGBTQ people that they are perfect and beautiful

and whole just the way they are.

This dude may seem harmless

because he's shuffling around in a white robe.

But remember, white robes are the official uniform

of people with bad ideas.

Exhibit A.

[ Laughter and applause ]

I went to a Catholic high school,

and they sent me an e-mail last week asking me for money.

I'll give you money when you send a second e-mail

saying that everyone who went to your school is created equal.

And when you send me a letter jacket

even though I was the worst player on your tennis team.

[ Laughter ]

I was voted "most ears."

[ Laughter ]

Hate speech is hate speech, and we need to call it out,

no matter where we see it, even if it's in a Ford Focus.

Jennifer Lopez Specifically Asked to Work with Milo Ventimiglia in Second Act - Duration: 6:48.

-Welcome back. -Thanks, man.

Happy to be back, always.

-This is very exciting. Congrats on the film.

Jennifer Lopez specifically asked for you to play this role.

-Yeah, I know. What a morale booster, right?

-I mean... -Yeah.

Yeah, it's -- We'd crossed paths

You know, she had her TV show, I had my TV show.

But then when I found out she wanted me and only me,

first, I thought, "Wow, she must have gone through

-Right. [ Laughter ]

Or she liked mustaches. I don't know.

-Yeah. -Yeah.

I've been lucky enough to just cross paths

or I worked with her at "SNL."

I love being around her because she looks exactly the same

as the entire time I've known her.

-Yes. -I feel like when I see her,

I feel like no time has passed in my life.

-I don't think I wo-- No, I know that I wouldn't.

But at the same time -- But I will speak up.

-You wouldn't probably go this far in that direction.

-No, I wouldn't go that far. No, I would speak up.

No, they're lovely, lovely people.

And every time I see -- I mean, Jennifer's always like,

"Hi, baby. How you doing?"

-Yeah. -You know, very cool.

-See, that's where it's lucky

that Alex Rodriguez would be around,

'cause if she said that to me,

I would call my wife and be like, "It's over."

[ Laughter ]

"I'm going to make a hard-core run at it,

but just in case it works out...

And I know this is short-sighted.

I'm gonna end it with you now."

[ Laughter ]

-A bunch of my friends are like, "Wait. Hold on a second.

First of all, you're in a movie

playing romance with Jennifer Lopez."

I'm like, "Yeah, yeah, she's lovely."

And then they're like, "But wait.

But you got into a shower with her?"

And I was like, "Yeah." [ Laughter ]

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

-You'll always have that.

-Yes. Yes, we will. [ Laughter ]

On film! 40 feet tall, yeah.

-You're also very lucky,

obviously, with the cast of "This Is Us."

I've been lucky enough to see you guys,

again, the same way you see Jennifer at NBC events.

You seem to genuinely get along as a group of people...

-Yeah. -...which is really fantastic.

Do you have holiday parties like other shows?

Is that something that's happened?

-We kind of have, like, an end-of-the-season

lunch and whatnot.

But it's more for like the crew and the cast and everything.

But usually right when like "cut" is called

on the last episode before the holidays,

like, we're gone, "Bye. See you guys next year."

-Okay, gotcha. -It's cool.

-And last time you were here, we talked about

what was coming with this season that's airing now.

-Yeah. -And it was going to be

a lot about your backstory and a lot of the time

you spent in Vietnam. You went to Vietnam proper.

Had you ever been there before?

-No, that was my first time.

That was my first time in Vietnam.

-And how long were you there? -We were there about a week.

It was myself and Justin Hartley and Melanie Liburd.

And we were there about a week,

filming off and on every other day.

But, you know, it was, for me, personally,

to go to the country, the land where my father was

in the service and was a part of that war.

And seeing it now, not from the American side

but from the other side, the Vietnamese side,

and seeing, you know, such beautiful people

that were caught up in just a horrible,

horrible, horrible conflict, it was very, very heavy.

And then relating that to the work and what we were filming...

I mean, look, we can rarely ever

do anything happy on "This Is Us."

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-It's kind of like, "Yeah, hey, we're just gonna make you cry."

-Yeah. -Yeah.

-I will say, that's how you know the show's a success

is they actually let you go shoot in Vietnam.

-Oh, totally. -If the show wasn't working,

they'd be like, "We're gonna shoot Pasadena for Vietnam."

-Although, first season,

you were on the show with Sterling and Justin.

-I will tell you, the cameo I did on "This Is Us"

I hear from people far more than I do about this show.

[ Laughter ]

-Oh, my God, that's horrible.

-They're like, "Hey, the 'This Is Us' guy!

I'm sorry nothing else is happening for you."

I'm like, "I'll have you know..."

-Isn't that the best, though, when people say to you,

"Hey, where you been? What have you been up to?"

And you're like, "I've been working.

You just haven't seen it." -I get a lot --

People say to me,

"Hey, I haven't watched 'SNL' for a while," and I'll say,

"Oh, I haven't been on it for a while, so..."

[ Laughter ]

"It's all working out." -Things are going well for you.

-Yeah, things are going great.

You, obviously, the other thing about "This Is Us"

is not only is it -- do we sort of deal with

very heavy things, and I'm so impressed

with the writers on the show and Dan's work.

There's so many cliffhangers, so many twists.

And obviously, there was a big one at the fall finale,

which is -- -Oh yeah, like Jack's brother,

Nicky, is alive. -Yeah.

-Which is massive. Massive.

-And so you had the actor who plays your brother.

And I heard that you guys have a fight scene

and he actually punched you? -Oh, yeah.

So Michael Angarano, who's --

If you guys don't know much about him,

he's the most phenomenal actor.

He's such a beautiful soul.

But we had this scene where Jack is trying

to instigate and get a reaction out of his brother,

kind of snap him out of the state he was in.

And, you know, take after take after take, we're doing this.

And Mike, you know, he's throwing these punches,

and he's lunging and kind of going for it.

You know, a couple times, I heard wind just going past me.

-Yeah. -And then, by the last one --

You know, and our stunt guy's like,

"Hey, you know, Mike, just be careful.

You know, we got a long day.

You don't want to punch him in the face."

Mike's like, "No, no, no. It's fine, man. I'm good."

And wouldn't you know it, last take, boom!

[ Laughter ]

And I'm kind of like going down and, you know,

my eyes, I think, are going blood red,

and I kind of look back at him like,

"I'm gonna eat you alive." [ Laughter ]

And then...

And then, they call "cut," and Mike's like, "Oh, my God.

Oh, my -- I hit you." [ Laughter ]

And I go, "Yeah, man, you did."

And he goes, "But, like, my fist doesn't hurt."

I'm like, "No, I think you like --"

It was a trail elbow. -Oh, wow.

-So it wasn't that I got punched in the face.

I got elbowed in the face.

-Even the stunts on "This Is Us" have twists.

-Even the stunts on "This Is Us" make you cry.

-They make you cry. -There you go.

Trump's Coin Flip, Time Magazine's 2018 Person of the Year - Monologue - Duration: 3:29.

Let's get to the news.

President Trump today quoted Fox News

while defending himself from the Russia investigation,

saying, "Democrats can't find a smocking gun

tying the Trump campaign to Russia

after James Comey's testimony.

No smocking gun. No collusion."

Now, I know what you're going to say.

Are you going to mock him just for a typo?

No.

I'm going to moke him.

Also...

That's not a typo. Once is a typo.

Twice means you think that's how it's spelled.

And if that's the case, I'm gonna pock fun at you.

[ Laughter ]

President Trump attended the Army/Navy football game

this weekend in Philadelphia

and performed the coin toss before the game.

Let's see how that looked.

All right.

It's official. He's not good at anything.

One more time. Let's see it one more time.

That looked less like a coin flip

and more like he was releasing a dove.

"Go on. Fly. Oh, it's dead."

[ Laughter ]

That is the first time he's willingly given up money.

[ Laughter ]

In a recent interview, former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson

said that President Trump

doesn't like to read briefing reports.

Have you tried attaching them to the sun?

[ Laughter ]

[ Applause ]

"This looks bad."

President Trump tweeted on Friday

that Rudy Giuliani and others are working on a counter

to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report

and that 87 pages are already done.

Listen, if it takes you 87 pages to explain you're innocent,

you're not innocent.

That's like if your wife asked you who you were texting

and you started a TED Talk.

[ Laughter ]

"Time" magazine has announced that the people

on its short list for 2018 Person of the Year

include President Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin,

Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and Meghan Markle.

Said Markle, "Uh, I don't want to be on this list."

[ Laughter ]

Pantone recently announced that "living coral"

is its color of the year for 2019.

It will replace the color of the year for 2018,

"gerrymandering red."

A new study has found that there is strong and consistent

evidence that James Bond

has a chronic alcohol consumption problem

that is at the severe end of the spectrum.

Also, it seems like maybe he's killed hundreds of people.

According to a new study, 44% of roads in California

are in poor condition,

which is in stark contrast to its residents,

who have all had some work done.

Further down south, Busan and Jeju still stay mild at 2 and 7 degrees, respectively.

Pres. Moon demands jobs results from labor ministry - Duration: 2:31.

One by one, President Moon has begun the process of reviewing the government ministries' progress

reports and their policy plans for the following year.

He pressed on the need to chrun out the outcome on jobs market and the role of education in

leading the country to become an inclusive nation.

Our Blue House correspondent Shin Se-min starts us off.

President Moon Jae-in is being briefed one by one by government ministries, and first

up were those in charge of labor and education.

The president praised the work done by the labor ministry in terms of cutting working

hours and improving the job security of irregular workers in the public sector -- a step forward,

he said, in making the country an inclusive nation.

But he stopped there and pushed the point home -- the depressing jobs numbers.

President Moon ordered his government to speed things up and get some results.

"The quality of jobs may have improved to a degree, but overall, the country has failed

to create greater numbers of quality jobs.

Of course, it takes time for policies to bear fruit, but the people cannot wait that long."

In terms of education, the president emphasized its importance,... calling it the starting

point in achieving the administration's goal of an inclusive nation.

"Through education, we can foster innovative talent.

Education gives people people hope

for a better life.

It's also a ladder for upward mobility, and this is the role our education needs to play."

The president then ordered the ministry to work to meet the standards of the people and

to improve transparency and fairness.

Recent revelations of accounting fraud at private kindergartens have sparked a controversy

and led to the shutdown of a number of institutes across the nation.

There are five more ministries due to brief the president next week on their policy plans

for 2019 -- and more to come after the new year.

Shin Se-min, Arirang News.

S. Korean firms' facility investment fell by 4.4% in 2018: KDB - Duration: 0:50.

Investment by South Korean companies in facilities this year has fallen by 4-point-4 percent...

and is said to likely to keep falling next year.

According to a survey of roughly 3-thousand companies by the Korea Development Bank, the

total volume of facility investment this year is forecast to reach 160 billion U.S. dollars.

KDB said companies over-invested in 2017 and are still reeling from sluggish economic growth.

The bank said next year facility investment is likely to fall another 10 billion to about

150 billion dollars... because economic instabilities and trade disputes continue to discourage

bold investment.

It also warned that one third of facility investment is too heavily concentrated in

just two industries, semiconductors and displays.
