Out of all the year end tallies going around these days, this is up there with the most

fascinating - it's Google's Top Trending Searches of 2018!

At the top, is Demi Lovato. The pop star made headlines this year when she relapsed

with an alleged drug overdose and entered rehab to get sober again.

Following Lovato were Meghan Markle, Brett Kavanaugh, Logan Paul

and Khloe Kardashian.

As for musicians and bands, Eminem comes in at No. 2 behind Lovato, followed

by Ariana Grande at 3, Rick Ross believe it or not at 4 and Cardi B at 5.

How about top trending searches in terms of songs? They really do track everything over

at Google and "Bohemian Rhapsody" comes in at no. 1. Then we have the former

Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 "This is America," Pinkfong's "Baby Shark," "God's Plan"

from Drake and "Killshot" courtesy of Eminem.

Artists popped up on other measures as well. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra had the

second most searched wedding, 'American Idol' was the fourth most searched TV show

and 'A Star Is Born' was the sixth most searched film.

Google And a Bunch Of STUPIDS - Duration: 3:28.

Google

CEO Sundar Pichai recently attended the Congressional hearing in the United States testifying in

front of the House Judiciary Committee for more than three hours.

He was asked a lot of questions, a lot of them were on point and legit but some of them

were plain stupid.

This one for example, Steve King questioned Sunder Pichai why his granddaughter sees news

about him when she is playing a game on the iPhone.

Pichai responded to the question by clarifying that

Google does not make the iPhone.

Sundar Pichai had to walk a line between answering correctly and not making the senator appear

too stupid.

Honestly, These "grilling" sessions are incredible in that they show how completely out of touch

the people in charge of regulations are about technology.

Can't an intern look over what a senator is about to ask and say 'wait don't, that's stupid.'.

Ignoring the iPhone gaff, this question is just about as stupid as asking Bill gates

why he allowed my windows to get infected with a virus.

Honestly, I'm not sure what his point was?

Or what he was even referring too.

If you don't want notifications popping up on your kids phones, then disable them?

Don't let them download apps you don't want them accessing.

I'm convinced that there are many concepts of the modern world that the this guy is never

going to be able to understand.

I really feel bad for Sundar Pichai that he had to go through this.

It was similar to Mark Zuckerberg's hearing.

I don't like Facebook's actions and policies, but I was completely sympathetic to Mark during

that trial.

You could see it on his face.

because he know there was no way he could explain this relatively basic thing to these

old boomers in the time allotted, It was really a cringe fest.

And this one was kinda close to that.

This Small-Town Mississippi Victorian is a Diamond in the Rough | Great Estates | Southern Living - Duration: 4:32.

Let's go to Mississippi.

Woohoo.

I was watching Family Feud and the prompt was

name one place you don't want

to admit to anyone you're going.

And the guy goes, Mississippi.

(laughing) That's so mean.

Which is terrible, I don't think that's fair.

We don't support that. I think Mississippi has

lots of beautiful things to offer.

Including, this Crystal Springs, Mississippi Victorian.

It was built in 1866, and is on

the National Register of Historic Places.

It's nearly 4,000 square feet.

It has four bedrooms, two baths,

and a sweeping front porch.

But it's listed for $250,000.

So, a reasonable dream.

A reasonable dream.

And a fixer-upper, apparently.

It looks like something out of a little story book.

Yeah it does, it looks from the exterior.

It doesn't really look to be in that bad a shape.

Yeah, I'm not seeing the rough.

I'm just seeing diamonds. Diamond.

That's what I see when I look at myself in the mirror.

No rough, just diamond.

(laughing)

Depends on what time of day I awoke though.

Sometimes I just see rough, (crickets chirping)

no diamond.

Again not seeing the rough Yeah.

This looks like move in ready. This looks beautiful.

And look at the fun molding on the staircase.

I love that. So pretty.

(Betsy gasps) That's amazing.

Well I'm not gonna turn one down.

Okay, I think we just must have different opinions

about what a diamond in the rough is.

Maybe this person-- Maybe my standards are low?

But that looks like a built in book case.

Yeah. It's really nice.

You come in and clean it up a little bit,

but you don't touch the original stuff.

covering them right now.

it looks definitely historic. Old.

The rough. Wow I feel that we just took

a sharp left turn. (both laughing)

That tile looks like Christmas fruit cake

that people do not eat.

If those are wooden cabinets and you could just resolve it

by painting. Paint?

That would be great. That might be the fix.

But honestly I can't really tell

what's going on from here with them.

There's so much to look at, but none of it's--

Appealing? Yeah.

Because when it comes to your kitchen,

its what's on the outside that counts.

And also, when it comes to life in general.

(Katherine laughing)

is a little precarious when you see that one beam,

holding everything together.

And you get a lawn, trees, porches.

Yeah, that's a lot. I feel like you're getting

a lot of house for that. Yeah a lot for that.

So you could afford to make the little tweaks.

DNC Tells Staffers They Have To Remain Neutral During Democratic Primaries - Duration: 4:12.

Earlier this week, the DNC unveiled a new set of rules that are going to guide the party

through the 2020 presidential election, and among these new rules is a set of rules that

will actually prohibit DNC staffers from taking any side in the 2020 Democratic presidential

primaries.

Here is a specific list of what this new rule is going to do.

It's going to prohibit staffers and officers from financial contributions to particular

candidates, attendance of events that could suggest partiality public statements or social

media post espousing presidential preferences, internal communications, expressing views

for or against Democratic candidates, and even gestures like displaying bumper stickers

or lawn signs for individual campaigns.

So what the DNC is trying to do right now is makeup for the mistakes of the past.

They understand that thanks to the email leak, uh, regardless of what you think about the

email leak it happened in, those emails are authentic.

The DNC was clearly trying to push one candidate over the other.

Those emails show that they had actually talked about staffers, at least at the DNC, had talked

about using Bernie Sanders, Jewish religion against him.

That was from the DNC, I mean, I know you would expect that from the Republican Party,

but this was done at the DNC because they wanted to elevate their candidate of choice.

Hillary Clinton, so now they understand, look, we got popped big time.

We were made to be a national embarrassment.

There's still a lot of rightfully earned distrust for the DNC right now, so we're going to do

what we can to try to fix it.

We're going to put this new rule out here and hopefully everybody just moves on after

that.

Well, this is only half of it, right?

It's one thing to put a new rule in place.

It's another to enforce it.

So the big question remains as is the DNC actually going to be honest and keep their

people honest and keep them from breaking these rules.

That part I'm not so optimistic about.

I mean after all this is a DNC that also refused to make a part of the party's platform that

we don't want fracking in the United States.

So the chances of them actually enforcing this, of having somebody go through and monitor

to make sure nobody's breaking the rules, slim to none in my opinion, but I guess you

got to give them a little bit of credit for at least trying to give the appearance of

being impartial, of saying, look, we're not going to interfere.

We're just going to sit here.

We're going to raise money, we'll do opposition research on Republicans and and that's it.

And then once we have the front runner, the person who's getting the nominee and they

get the nominee, a nomination, a, we're going to go ahead, then we can support them.

That's what we're going to do as a DNC.

Now.

That's what they should do.

That's what they always should have done.

But that's not the case.

These new rules are going to be incredibly difficult to enforce.

They're going to be difficult to police and they're going to be very difficult to punish

after all what's going to happen the first time a staffer gets fired for saying that

they prefer a candidate a over candidate b.

that's going to be a national headline.

That's going to make the DNC look even worse.

Now, I support these rules.

Don't get me wrong on that.

Again, this is what the DNC always should have been, but I can also see this backfiring

spectacularly because that's what tends to happen when the DNC does things because they

don't fully think them through.

They have these guidelines.

They need to enforce them, but they also need to make sure that people understand that if

you break these rules, if you do not go by this organization standards, you are subject

to termination and you don't get to go out there and whine about it because you were

completely warned that this is what we're going to do.

That's going to be the tricky part.

Avoiding any negative press in case somebody does get fired for these rules, but then again

that would also require the DNC to enforce and police them, which as I previously mentioned,

not quite sure that's going to happen.
