I can't even begin to express how thankful I am

that I am getting a second chance in this competition.

had a big falling out a couple months ago.

At one point, I considered Farrah to be a close friend

but she tried to go about patching up a relationship

between me and another person in an inappropriate way

and while I'm at work, they showed up drunk,

so I kind of let her have it

and the other girl have it at the same time.

I texted her and she just didn't respond to me.

So, seeing her walk into this workroom,

I was a little gagged cause I did cherish our friendship,

but she kind of fucked it up a little bit and-

She funked it up.

She fucked it up.

And bitch, I was kind of hoping you were gonna vote her off.

Oh, damn.

I just don't want our drama to be a distraction

for me during this competition.

I think that while you guys are stuck here in this workroom

together, that's a better opportunity for you-

Speaking of good ideas, "The Fix."

How has no one ever thought of this idea?

I think it's a brilliant idea for a show.

-Well, so, the idea is that the world --

the world is in a terrible state.

There's loads of huge problems. -Yes.

-What are you going to do?

Well, what you can do is get teams of comedians

to come up with solutions to the world's biggest problems.

So, I mean, we're dealing with everything

from, you know, gun control to opioid crisis --

really serious stuff --

and we come up with these crazy solutions.

-So, how does it work?

You host the show, and you give it the problem,

and then these teams of comedians --

-So, I've got Katherine Ryan on one side,

D.L. Hughley on the other side, and they come up with solutions.

So, I'll give you an example. So, we came up with the --

you know, the problem was global warming.

-Mm. -So, one solution was

everyone goes vegan, but we need to rebrand veganism

because vegans -- little bit smug.

[ Laughter ] That's fair to say, isn't it?

They're a little bit -- -A little bit, yeah.

-But it is possible to be a vegan and shut the [bleep] up.

[ Laughter ] -Yeah. You -- You think so?

-I think it might be. -You think it might be.

We can't -- We can't do both?

I mean, this is your fixes.

-It's not easy, but I think it's possible.

But the other solution --

This is gonna sound crazy. Bear with me.

on a comedy show, but it's genuinely true.

you are -- you're playing a character

who apprenticed under Dick Van Dyke's...

And I -- it sounds, from -- from what I've read,

that he is exactly the way he's always been.

you know, we had contingency plans

of, like, "If he can't get up on the desk,

So I asked -- listen, working with Meryl Streep

And she sort of, like, she's sort of kind of in the character

that she's playing the whole time.

And she said on "Devil Wears Prada,"

But in our movie, she, like, is a delight.

And she's kind of always showing off for the kids.

And she showed off for the kids.

And at one point, she turned to the kids --

This is between takes. This is on the rehearsal.

She goes, "Hey, kids, want to see a perfect pratfall?"

And she goes from here to facedown, like --

like Chevy Chase 1975 pratfall. [ Laughter ]

And everyone runs over.

"Meryl Streep has died on our set!"

And she gets up. And she goes like this.

-What was the biggest difference insofar as --

Obviously you're used to performing on stage,

you're getting that instant feedback.

How did you feel doing a film and having to wait so long?

-I have been waiting a year and a half for applause

from musical numbers I did in 2017.

That's the biggest difference, is, you know, you do a show,

and they let you know right away

if they like you or if they don't like you.

We'd seen these immense numbers

with imaginary penguins or hundreds of lamp lighters.

And it'd be like...

All right. Let's try it again.

No, but seriously, the adrenaline source comes

from the fact that every day on "Mary Poppins Returns"

was the most surreal day of my life,

and it was topped by the following day.

So the first week was the penguin number.

The following week, it's Meryl Streep,
