La Querida Del Centauro 2 | Capítulo 34 | Telemundo Novelas - Duration: 11:26.

I had a weird dream last night.

I dreamt I was getting married.

But not to Benedicto.

To who?

Duarte.

Duarte? The cop?

Duarte the cop.

Do you know him or something?

No, I don't.

Well, not personally.

Benedicto has a picture of him in his surveillance room.

Strange, right?

Yes.

Have you told anyone else about that dream?

No, no.

And don't you dare tell anyone.

No.

Please don't. Especially not Benedicto.

Don't tell Julian either.

Lemus? Him least of all.

I don't trust him.

Me neither. Not one bit.

You look beautiful.

Thank you very much.

You look great and you're not even in your wedding dress.

Am I interrupting?

Not at all. Would you like a margarita?

-No, not right now. -Come on! It's my wedding!

You too.

Drink one.

We have mimosas too.

What now?

I came to thank you for helping me get my children back,

but I see you're having a bad day so...

Alright then. You can go ahead and leave.

I have something else to tell you.

Let's hear it. I'm not afraid of you.

Is what your brother said true?

Do you like me?

Are you serious?

That's f---ing ridiculous.

I didn't say that.

Miguel's the one...

Shut up and listen to me.

The feeling is mutual.

I like you too,

and for a long time now, I can't stop thinking about you.

I don't know what's wrong with me.

Dad!

Hey, we've been waiting a long time

to see what we're going to do.

Let's go.

Yeah, okay.

Come on.

Did you, uh, finish the clothes?

Yes, yes.

I'll get Miguel and catch up to you.

Okay, hurry up.

Sure.

-Come. -I'm coming.

Paula, are you really having another?

It's too early.

What?

You make it sound like I'm some out of control alcoholic.

No, I'm fine. I was just leaving anyway.

- BUENO, PERO... PERO ¡SALUD! ¿HUM?

Cheers.

Do I strike you as irresponsible?

This is a real relief for this wonderful life of mine.

Paula, let's go to the club.

Erica, do you want to get married?

I hadn't planned on it.

Not immediately anyway.

Or ever.

Don't get married.

Marriage is horrendous.

Especially after the first few encounters.

You know, man and woman. Coitus.

Which in this house never happens!

Paula!

What?

It's true.

Besides, I can tell Erica.

If you don't have kids,

marriage becomes absolute hell.

It's twice as bad.

And after that comes...

the unhappiness.

The infidelity.

The routine.

Paula, you're probably bothering Erica,

who I'm sure is very busy.

I'm not.

If it's not marriage, it's life.

Look at you.

You had the perfect marriage, the perfect life,

and everything was great.

And just look at how things turned out.

Grab your purse so we can leave.

I'll say my goodbyes now. I'm leaving.

No, why? Do you have plans?

No, just going home.

-Need anything? -Yes.

Do me a huge favor.

Take my place and go eat with Rafa.

YO YA NO ESTOY...

I can't leave you here.

What?

I can't leave you here.

I'm not hungry anymore, and you need to go out.

I'm at the club all the time.

Rafa, I'll be honest with you.

I want to keep drinking whiskey. Lots of whiskey.

If I go to the club and have too much to drink

I'll make a fool of myself, which you don't like.

Who would?

You two go and have fun.

Keep an eye on him.

Don't worry, Paula.

Bye.

Thanks!

You hungry?

I'm Julian Lemus. Nice to meet you.

The psychiatrist.

I thought you were the famous one here.

Duarte gave me your name.

I understand.

I didn't think you were coming.

Did I have a choice?

I suppose you're responsible for what happened to her, right?

Yolanda's my masterpiece.

What I've achieved with her is unprecedented.

Wiping out her memory?

It's much more than that.

But I doubt you'd understand.

Believe me, I'm not interested in understanding.

In nature,

organisms that don't adapt to their environment disappear.

Those that do adapt not only survive but evolve.

What's your point?

In this environment,

you can achieve things you never dreamed.

If you adapt.

Look at me.

Thanks to that man,

my investigations have been fruitful.

You couldn't be more cynical if you tried.

No more than you.

Don't play the victim. Doesn't suit you.

USTED NO ESTARÍA AQUÍ... SU AMIGO SEGUIRÍA CON VIDA,

You wouldn't be here, and your friend would still be alive

if you, the ethical journalist you pretend to be,

had informed others that Centaur's alive

as Duarte told you.

Deep down, you're just like me.

You're here because you chose to be.

We've got 20 well-armed men at the actual event site.

50 armed men make up the first circle,

which is a good distance away.

Those men don't know who they're protecting.

How far is the third security ring?

About 30 minutes away. And another 50 men.

They don't know who they're protecting either.

What about the route?

It's a good one. Route 5. Same one we've used

to transport merchandise to the Pacific.

No radar. Well, there is,

but we avoid it by flying below it.

Have you seen Mr. Broadcaster?

He even brought a gift.

He's f---ed.

What's so funny?

Sorry, boss.

Where's your gift?

I asked Elvira to get it...

Elvira?

Since I was dealing with logistics, she couldn't get it.

I'm just joking.

You went pale.

Sure I did.

I want you to have fun today.

I will, boss.

Let's talk to our buddy.

Welcome.

How nice of you. For me?

Please.

Give it to your lady boss.

Well, where's our transportation?

What's with all the mystery?

We're going, we're going. It's coming.

Don't know about you, but we're having margaritas.

We noticed.

Cheers.

It's right here.

Do me a favor. Don't go talking about this.

It's personal. Okay?

I really appreciate it.

One...

Two...

I've got to work Saturday.

What you up to?

Working, can't you tell?

Isn't that the boss' wife?

What are you doing?

Just investigating something.

Lucho and I found several inconsistencies

stemming from her death.

For starters, she wasn't a reporter like she claimed.

You're investigating the boss' wife?

There's a lot about her death and Duarte's escape

that don't add up.

Like this, for example. Look.

The day before her death,

Mariana withdrew a large amount of money.

Half a million pesos.

Maybe she was going to buy a car.

In cash?

Yeah, right!

Then explain this.

Why was going to find Mariana the first thing Duarte did

after escaping the mental hospital?

Duarte was crazy. He was hot for Mariana.

No.

I've got strong evidence that Duarte

was going to be murdered in that hospital.

-Are you serious? -Very.

There's one other thing.

The psychiatrist treating Duarte was also Mariana's.

She recommended him.

And now that shrink is missing.

Yes, everything you're saying is odd,

but not enough to risk your job.

Especially not someone knee-deep in debt like you.

Roman, you're not following.

No, you're the one not following.

You don't mess with the boss' wife even if she is dead.

Whatever.

Just promise you won't mention any of this.

My lips are sealed.

I'm serious.

Okay.

La Querida Del Centauro 2 | Capítulo 33 | Telemundo Novelas - Duration: 12:36.

Will you be long?

No. It'll just be a minute.

Your statement was transcribed and I'm printing it out now.

The DA's office requires a sworn statement.

-Right. -I'll go get the print out.

You can sit down if you'd like.

Thank you.

We're all set.

Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.

No, I'm sorry.

I...

I was looking at this picture and she seemed familiar.

She does?

She was married to an ex agent, Gerardo Duarte

-Duarte? -Yes, Duarte.

I doubt you've ever met her. They didn't live in Mexico.

She committed suicide a few days after they moved back.

In any case, here you are.

Please sign here.

Are you okay?

Yes, I'm just... I'm just exhausted.

I'm sorry.

Are you sure you're okay?

Initial here and sign the last page.

Sure.

-Would you like some water? -Yes, please.

Sure.

Miguel, it's very simple.

If we don't mess with their drugs, they'll leave us alone.

What about the drugs you took from us?

They're being sold on the other side of the city

so we won't run into any trouble.

What if someone wants a hit of something or other?

They can buy from the Jackals. We have nothing for them here.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I thought you were brave.

I am brave...

I'm just not suicidal.

You know Diablo?

He controls the drug movement around here.

He's a mean guy.

Is he a heavy hitter?

Yup.

Know what he did to take over this turf?

He hung the dealers from the light posts,

shot them in the arms and legs

and he cut them so they'd bleed to death.

No f---ing way. Are you serious?

Yeah.

If you tried to help them, you suffered the same fate.

Not even their parents were exempt.

Now I understand why you avoid him.

Checkmate.

F---.

Now I owe you twice as much.

I shouldn't have borrowed from money you to bet against you.

Quit being such a crybaby. You don't owe me anything.

It's just a game.

If you're out of luck next time, though,

I'll make you pay everything you owe me.

Cheers, Miguel.

Thanks, man.

I'd like to corroborate Leticia's statement.

I'll visit the bakery

and ask her mother if she remembers Cholo.

Yes, that's fine.

Although I doubt you'll find any inconsistencies.

Don't you think she seemed a bit too nervous?

You should've seen her when she signed her statement.

She did mention that was her temperament.

I don't see any reason to doubt her.

Her behavior matches that of a victim.

Also, she has no priors and works at a bakery.

I can't refute that... yet.

What do you make of what she said about Cholo?

Everything seems to match.

Besides, the Jackals were after Cholo.

They're not ones to overlook mistakes.

That dumb bastard was probably high

when he tried to hide in a dive in their turf

and that's where they found him.

That explains their confrontation,

but it doesn't explain the Guardian Angel's presence.

The Guardian Angel's here to stay.

At least that's the title of his latest video.

What video?

Another video was uploaded. You need to see this.

May I?

Yes.

You only get to see those. You can't keep them.

They're nice, huh?

So that's why... Is this...?

Hello!

Hello! How are you? It's great to see you.

Come on. Have a seat.

Have they offered you something to drink?

He's very quiet without his mic, huh?

I thought you'd come at me because I killed your friend.

That won't solve anything.

He's practical, too.

I think we're going to get along very well.

Oh, look!

This is my son Emilio.

He's alive too.

We hadn't mentioned it, but now you know.

Well, what do you make of the pictures?

I don't need to see this. I know what you're doing.

We have other things too.

We have an audio file of Bayon.

He kept asking Alex not to leave him.

We also have footage of Alex asking a friend

to help him hide from Bayon because he was sick of him.

Is that...?

Is that why you had me call him and...?

Oh!

Hi, honey.

Yolanda.

She's a key member in our organization...

and my future wife.

I'm sure you know who I am,

so I hope you won't mind answering my questions.

I'd mind if I had something to hide, but I don't.

And yes, I spent six years in prison.

Six years!

Six instead of 20!

You must approve of our current justice system, right?

This is Nicolas Bayon, honey.

Oh, right.

I've listened to your show on several occasions.

How about that?

She hasn't left the port in a while.

You're famous there too.

I suppose.

Right.

I never meant to interrupt.

I just wanted you to know that I found a wedding dress.

-Really? -Yes.

We're getting married tomorrow.

He's celebrity... Should we extend an invitation?

Sounds good to me.

Would you like to attend our wedding?

Thank you, but I don't know if I'll be able too.

I'm a very busy man.

Is it because you don't have a date?

Come on, man!

Don't give me that.

What could be more important than our wedding?

Cancel everything else and clear your schedule.

You're attending our wedding.

It'll be an honor to have a celebrity in attendance.

Take him to the game room and pour him a drink.

Sure.

-Let's go. -Let's.

Excuse me. Pleasure to meet you, Nicolas.

See you later, Nico.

Yolanda's our next order of business.

Let's go.

<i> It's like age-old adage says,</i>

<i> "Follow the north star</i> <i> at noon."</i>

Just what I needed!

A f------ vigilante!

How many people have seen this video?

When I first saw it, it had 100,000 views.

It's nearing a million now.

What are people saying?

"If only the cops did a fifth of what he does."

"Guardian Angel's a hero. He's the only one..."

That's enough!

We're overworked. We could use the help.

Quit saying nonsense.

He wants something.

Besides, we don't need anyone to do our work.

I'm sorry, sir.

Yes?

Yes, I just saw it.

I know.

Focus on this.

Find out who uploaded the second video.

Yes, Uncle.

I know.

No, I don't know if the press has asked us to comment.

Alright.

Hey, what is this place?

Are you staying here?

Ana's brother brought us here. His friend owns it.

It seemed like a good place to hide.

Compared to Fausto's, it's wonderful.

-Right? -Yeah.

Oh, Dad.

I never stopped thinking about you guys.

-Not for a minute. -I can attest to that.

I want to congratulate you.

I don't know how you managed to survive for so long.

Cristina did great. She helped us out a lot.

She also set Fausto straight. That's pretty huge.

I tried.

How'd you find them?

Well, well, well.

What do we have here?

A lion and his little cubs?

You multiply like rabbits, you know.

My kids and a friend.

Welcome!

You're like a kid factory, huh?

You're welcome to stay here.

We could use the visitors.

It'll encourage others to stay here.

Grandpa wants to see you.

Stay with Ana. I'll be right back.

Okay.

- SÍ.

Make yourselves at home.

Right this way.

La explotadora | Caso Cerrado | Telemundo - Duration: 15:48.

SwLet's welcome it with y British author Marianne Evans.

It reads,

"You don't need a motive to be cruel,

just an opportunity."

Bring out the litigants.

It's tough to realize that my freedom depends on her.

She's so ungrateful.

She's biting the hand that feeds her.

Good afternoon and welcome.

Good afternoon.

Paola, tell me why you're suing Sandra

and what you demand to settle this issue.

Good afternoon, ma'am.

I'm here to sue this woman for exploitation.

She refuses to give me five days off so I can visit my mother.

I want, no, demand that she give me those days off.

-I'll give you the facts. -Please do.

Well, my mother's dying of cancer in Venezuela.

I recently received an email...

I brought a printout of it.

"Your mother's not well. I don't think she'll make it.

Please come. She wants to bid you farewell."

She doesn't have much time left since she has terminal cancer.

So her cancer's reached an advanced stage.

Yes. I want to say my last goodbyes.

When did you last see her?

Three years ago.

Yes, that's how long I've worked for her.

What do you do?

I'm... Well, I can explain.

I met her in Cali.

I'm an image consultant. She's a model.

We got to know each other and then one day,

she got a really good job offer.

She told me to come to the States with her.

Since she's a US citizen, she offered to arrange my paperwork.

It sounded like the opportunity of a lifetime.

Who wouldn't want to come work here?

She then offered me a contract and I signed it.

I work with her day and night.

I got pregnant and had to work throughout my entire pregnancy.

I worked through labor pains, even.

She gave me...

But what do you do exactly?

You must be more than a mere image consultant.

What do you actually do?

I'm supposed to plan her outfits and makeup,

manage her hair appointments, and make sure she eats right.

I need to make sure she looks good.

On top of that, I'm also her assistant and her driver.

I do everything for her.

I don't set vacation days so I asked for five days off.

You don't have days off,

because gigs might pop up on weekends.

You need to stay on top of her constantly.

After I gave birth,

she'd complain about the baby's wailing.

Obviously.

She gave me 45 days to wean my baby.

-Then I had to put her... -In a nursery.

Yes, in her father's care.

She didn't give me enough time to take care of her.

I even lost custody of my daughter

after her father sued me.

My daughter's no longer with me.

I can only see her three times a week.

-You're so melodramatic. -I see her three times a week!

You must have a block of ice for a heart.

She made a life choice.

What's wrong with you?

Jobs aren't supposed to take over your entire life.

-Well, this one does. -No.

You may be a model, but you're absolutely clueless.

She knew what the job entailed.

So if you were to take these five days off...

Do you know what your exact travel dates would be?

Yes, but she said that if I took a day off, she'd take my visa.

I'm kind of up in the air right now,

because I can't bring my daughter with me to Venezuela.

Her father won't let me bring her along.

My mother's sick. What am I supposed to do?

This work waits for no one.

So you want her to grant you your five days off

without you losing your work visa.

Exactly! I've yet to take any days off.

Is there anyone that can stand in for you

in case this "supermodel" has something "important" to do?

I heard rumors that she was looking for a replacement...

Do you realize how ridiculous you're making yourself look

with that little attitude of yours?

You're treating her like a slave and not your assistant.

I have a very demanding career.

Something might come up one of those five days.

She knows how my job is.

I might have a photoshoot or a commercial shoot.

You know how difficult that is.

I have to maintain my workout routine and diet.

I've always been on top of all that.

That's because I pay you top dollar.

I don't pay you to cruise around Venezuela.

How well do you pay her? Do you pay her $200,000 a year?

No, because her work doesn't call for that kind of salary.

I'm the model here, not her.

You've said multiple times that you pay her well.

-How much, exactly? -$72,000. More than enough.

Very well. What's that on your podium?

I brought you a copy of the contract,

which specifies that I get to decide what her benefits are.

I also wanted to show you examples of my work.

Modeling is serious work.

You need to work hard to have a body like this one.

It requires great effort.

I need my assistant.

Why would you need an assistant to work out?

That's your job.

You're talking as if I had no idea what your job was like.

Believe me, I know what it's like.

I travel too.

I do events and have an assistant.

If my assistant needs five days off, then so be it!

She knows how I am.

She has that body thanks to my hard work.

You go to the gym for me and eat for me.

I sacrifice a lot.

She knows how demanding this work is,

but now she's making demands of her own.

How many demands in the past two years and eight months

has this woman made?

She's made demands.

I also demand that she pay me my three months

because I need that money to go to Venezuela.

Are you kidding me?

She still has 21 days to go!

I have 21 days left...

Before the end of the year.

You want her to pay you your year's salary.

No, she pays me per trimester.

I pay her per trimester.

Now she wants to go on vacation to Venezuela

and she expects me to pay her 21 days in advance?

My mother's dying, ma'am!

I'm not going to pay her in advance.

If she decides to leave to Venezuela, she's fired.

Then she'll become an illegal immigrant.

Why should I have to pay an illegal immigrant?

She needs to choose between Venezuela and me.

She's blackmailing you

simply because she's in a position of power.

That's beyond cruel.

Any witnesses?

What's your name?

Good afternoon, ma'am.

My name is Jose

and I'm here to testify on behalf of the plaintiff.

I worked with the defendant for many years as her driver.

-Ungrateful bastard. -When I got to this country,

it felt like I had so many opportunities.

She ended up contacting me

and I worked as her driver for years.

I didn't know what to do after that, really...

I didn't hold you at gunpoint.

Don't interrupt the witness while he's giving his statement.

I was so excited to have received a job offer,

that I agreed to work for $4 an hour.

That sounded great at the time,

but that's definitely not a living wage.

I still agreed to it.

It's a blatant disregard of minimum wage.

-$4 an hour is ridiculous. -Yes, but I still agreed to it

because I had no other option.

You were an undocumented immigrant.

Yes.

She took advantage of you.

-That's what she does. -Why'd she fire you?

She fired me unjustly.

I told her I needed a raise, and she went insane.

She got furious and said,

"If you keep asking me for a raise,

I'm going to report you to ICE."

You can always tell with people like her.

You can tell what type of person she is.

Bring out the defendant's witness.

That's just how I am.

I'm not like these people who keep victimizing themselves.

Why did you fire him?

Because he kept meddling in my business.

Okay.

Good afternoon. What's your name?

Good afternoon. My name is Venesia.

You're here in support of the defendant.

-Yes. -She used to be my student.

I taught her everything she knows.

I was her student,

so Sandra called and asked me to be her replacement

since she was leaving to Venezuela.

I'm a US citizen. I can do her job for way less.

She doesn't have half the experience I do.

I've been doing this for years!

-How many years? -20 years.

How many years of experience do you have?

Three years.

You get what you pay for. It's a proven fact.

When it comes to this work, experience is golden.

Bring out Attorney Sierra.

This model brat...

thinks she can swap out her employees just like that.

Experience is what matters most in this business.

Having an experienced makeup artist,

an experienced assistant who knows your style.

You need someone with a good eye to manage your look.

That's priceless.

What were you going to say?

Do you realize how hard it was

to bring her over from Venezuela?

I should sue her.

She should pay me for all I've done for her.

You're not a model, you're a con artist!

You're shameless.

Attorney Sierra, what kind of visa are we talking about here?

She has an O visa, because she's someone with experience

who's known for her extraordinary abilities

as far as makeup and wardrobe design.

It's a special visa that's quite difficult to obtain.

Would it be considered a violation

if she had to travel due to an emergency,

such as the death of her mother?

It's not a violation as far as Immigration is concerned,

but sadly, Florida work laws allow for this kind of behavior.

There aren't any laws stating she has to give any days off.

She doesn't have to give her state or federal holidays off,

nor is she expected to pay extra for working holidays.

But...

The thing is, she's an employer with one or two employees.

If she ran a company with over 50 employees,

she'd have to abide by other work laws.

But this is totally inhumane.

Totally.

I haven't taken any vacation days.

She doesn't have to allot her any vacation days?

Not at all.

Not even one.

However, she does have to pay her overtime.

If she exceeds...

She doesn't pay extra, though.

She pays exactly the amount stated on the contract.

There is no set schedule.

I dictates her schedule.

That may be true,

but you can't make her work over 40 hours a week

without paying her overtime.

That's irrelevant at this point.

Listen up.

You think you're so glamorous and beautiful,

but that's all overshadowed by your cruelty.

You're inhumane.

You treat people like garbage.

Five days.

Believe it or not, that's what this case is about.

That's what this case is really about.

Here's what you're going to do.

You're going to let her visit her mother

and you're going to pay her in advance.

You aren't going to take any action to jeopardize her visa.

Nor are you going to replace her.

She's offering you her years of experience.

Who's going to pay me back for those five days?

I'll tell you! Your heart and generosity.

-Who'll handle my affairs? -You are!

You can hire her for five days.

You don't have anything planned. Nothing's come up yet.

-Gigs can just pop up. -We don't know that.

If something comes up, hire a substitute.

You can afford one,

especially since you've never paid for her vacation days.

And another thing.

If you take any action against her,

I'm going to fine you $250,000

for violating her visa rights and firing her.

She doesn't owe you a thing.

She's given you her experience, her knowledge, and her talent.

You're not talented. You're just a pretty face.

That's it. You're vapid.

She's responsible for most of your success,

and you need to respect that.

So you'd better be nice and wish her well on her travels.

It's final. Case closed.

Be kind, be careful, get educated,

give respect to earn respect, and may God help us!

See you next time! Thanks for joining us.
