Youtube daily May 31 2017

Few days ago I came back from my backpacking trip to Mallorca

nd I thought I'm gonna use this opportunity to explain

why I started sleeping on the floor.

Over last 2 or 3 years, me and my friend Jacob went on those one week budget

backpacking trips to warm mediterranean countries.

So far, we've been to Greece two times,

Italy, two of the Canary Islands and now Mallorca.

We wanted to see a lot of cool things in the places we visit,

but we didn't have a lot money.

So we decided that we're just going to take sleeping bags with us,

hike all day and just sleep wherever we end up at the end of the day.

And that's basically what we did on all those trips.

First time I had to sleep on the ground was pretty awful,

as I slept only in bed for my whole life.

Being very tired helped a lot, but nevertheless

I never got a full night of sleep.

I woke up a lot at night and my body was aching in the morning.

At the end of the trip I always would start to get used to it,

but then come back home and go back to sleeping on a bed.

So after one of the trips, I decided I'm gonna continue sleeping on the floor

and see what will happen.

After two weeks I got completely used to it

and I do it since then, for over one and a half year.

I love the minimalistic aspect of it,

and also feel like my posture got improved because of it.

No more slouching and no more back pains either.

On this trip to Mallorca we were sleeping in the most beautful places I can imagine.

On beaches, near the ocean or in the canyon.

And since my body is now expecting that I'm gonna sleep on the ground,

every night was just as comfortable as it can be for me.

We had a great time, a week full of adventures that most likely

wouldn't happen, if we had to go back to a hotel room every night.

Anyway, I just wanted to explain this subject, because some of you have been asking me about it.

Hope you liked the video, see you soon guys.

Parker Solar Probe - Duration: 2:07.

(music)

NASA's Parker Solar Probe mission is about to embark on a historic journey to

our very own star - the sun.

Named for Dr. Eugene N. Parker, whose contributions have revolutionized our understanding of the

sun,

Parker Solar Probe will usher in a new era of exploration.

It's a mission of extremes.

The spacecraft will plunge through the sun's atmosphere called the corona and fly closer

to the sun's surface than any spacecraft in history - more than seven times closer.

The sun's surface is hot, temperatures exceeding 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

But the real surprise is its atmosphere is even hotter, 300 times hotter.

Facing the corona's brutal heat and radiation conditions, Parker Solar Probe will finally

provide answers to some of the most important questions about how our sun works.

As Parker Solar Probe speeds around the sun making these measurements, it's moving at

over 430,000 miles per hour.

That's like traveling from New York to Tokyo in less than a minute.

This mission is the culmination of 60 years' work by the best and brightest scientific

and engineering minds.

Today, our technology will let us achieve our dreams to reveal the secrets of the corona

and our sun and to one day help better protect technology from the threats of space weather.

In 2018 we will launch Parker Solar Probe, humanity's first mission to touch the sun.

Pour Over Coffee without a PhD - Duration: 8:19.

good morning chef buck here and uh you know I

don't know if this morning where you're at or when you're watching this here but

it's morning here and we're going to make a pour-over coffee

I got my carafe I got my discount funnel you can get a fancy pour over thing but

a funnel will work my preferred method is the French press this is the

best way to make coffee because because it's easier it's quicker it's faster

if you don't have a French press but you've got a carafe and you should have

a carafe if you have a French press to keep the coffee warm keep

it hot because that's the problem with coffee in a coffee maker that sits

on a burner and it sits on the burner and the burner burns the coffee and it

just makes it funky a lot faster let me go ahead and get the water started you

get some cold water and put it on a burner and then we're going to bring it

to a boil but we're not going to use boiling water but we're going to go

ahead and get that started get a carafe get a funnel get a coffee

filter boom boom boom and this is the entire set up for your pour over but the

most important thing when you're making coffee is the beans you always want to

grind your beans freshly ground coffee makes the best coffee and you just got

to find the beans that you like and that's going to make all the difference

and today we're using boom check this out holy cow

I'm cheap

anybody that watches my videos know that I'm a cheapskate but you know this costs

a lot because it's got a little story

it's in a burlap sack

I usually buy kona coffee it's like a nine bucks a pound if it's

not on sale a lot of times we'll buy coffee that's on sale you know and I

pay about seven bucks a pound some times six bucks a pound if it's a

super duper sale but this coffee here that's twenty two dollars for eight

ounces so this is $44 a pound this is the most expensive coffee no no it's not

didn't it say in that story we read a story we read

about the Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee Mon

he was talking about it being $60 there but even

within the Jamaican Blue Mountains there are certain beans better than

others ...but this just happened to

be the blue mountain coffee that was at the store I've been wanting to

give it a try got burlap on me from my coffee bag

my waters come to a boil I'm going to go ahead and take it off

the heat and let it sit for one minute and that's

a good temperature for a French press or this pour over but actually we're

going to keep it back on the burner on low for the pour over because

it takes a little bit of time and I don't want the water to cool down too

much but the main thing is we got boiling water we're going to leave

it alone for a minute because we don't want to put boiling water on our coffee but

since I got a minute we're going to grind up our beans so I'm going to do 30

ounces of water so I'm going to put in 10 tablespoons of beans here now

we'll call that we'll call that - right you know adjust the amount of coffee

grounds to water to find the taste that you like coffee is subjective and that's

all I'm going to grind it because with a pour-over you don't want it too finely

ground otherwise it'll be a muddy muck and it just won't pour through it'll

take you forever all right so we got our coffee ground put them in the filter and

I'm going to go ahead and pour some of this off hot water into this a measuring

cup because it will be easier to pour and you could order a pour over at a

coffee shop you know and they got all they've got all the apparatus you know

to achieve your pour over coffee all you need to crap damn funnels them to pour

your hot water but you want to pour it slowly so the water will seep through

the beans and you can hear it starting to up to drip down there oh that's the

sound of goodness and so this is pour over coffee we're just pouring it over

the beans so really it's just like a machine except uh I'm the machine

and you just continue pouring your water through and letting

it drain through the beans and then we're going to end up with a bunch of a

coffee goodness and this is going to be the blue Mountain Coffee goodness mon

and this is one of the reasons why the French press is better

with a French press then we would just pour the water on the beans in our little

French press and boom leave it for four minutes and you'd be done you know with

this method you know I got to hang around and Hulk over my dang coffee

it's going to taste really good it's just a French press is easier if you

like to micromanage your coffee then this is the way to do it all right we're

getting close I'm almost got all the water poured all right here's my last

little bit to pour over and we'll let this drain

we'll be set to go now what are we gonna have with our jamaican blue mountain

coffe mon...oh you're kidding ... we bought day old cookies

that we bought four days ago so these are

ancient cookies so they'll really need to be dunked in the coffee okay

we'll dunk discount cook cookies in our fancy coffee...when you eat a cookie

in the morning you call it an energy bar

I think it's done

when finished dripping go ahead and quick as you can put your cap on your carafe

because making a pour-over you have to be mindful you don't let your

water cool down too much ... now let's get our cookies

on plate and we'll give it a taste test ...it's coffee time

if you're having fancy coffee you want to make sure and have a small cup that

denotes luxury ...when it's dinky.. all right CG give it a try

it's good ...is it 44 bucks a pound good?

you grind your beans you put it in a filter and then you pour water over it...science

I've got links below to a playlist and different things

to check out I'll put our French press coffee video somewhere

around here and our cold brew coffee video around here and check out all our

videos and buh-bye

TOP 5 BiSH (Eng subs) - Duration: 6:12.

This week we talk about girls...For real, I won't troll you this time

Bish is a new generation type of idol group who debuted in 2015

The word "Bish" is American slang for "bitch" but also an acronym for Brand new Idol SHit

I know...Subtle!

The group currently counts 6 members, including 3 who've been here since the very beginning,

as they were some departures and additions, and they went from 4 to 6 members

BiSH's sound generally alternates between rock, metal and punk

Sometimes they shout, sometimes they're chilled

Let's discover 5 songs today

As usual, this is my personal pick, it doesn't mean they're the most popular or relevant

But I thought you'd like to hear, so let's start!

Released in 2015, on the Brand New Idol Shit album, the melody is rock-ish with a slow tempo

and a catchy chorus

The lyrics however are quite cruel as the theme is "Hijime", meaning bullying, for example in a shool environment

The song is more from the bully's point of view

Everything is about this transparent girl, how she falls down and they find it hilarious

It's also conveyed in live perfs as the members pick a person in the audience, drag him on stage

and happily, kick and bully him

The lyrics were written by Yukako Love Deluxe, member who actually left the group during the recording of the first album

Awkward...

If you don't pay attention to the lyrics the sound is quite funky and groovy

making the theme to maybe be unexpected

Released in March 2017 this is the second single released after they signed with a major label, Avex

The melody is more pop rock,it's almost a pop ballad with a chill tempo

The style reminds me of an anime OST

and the lyrics are a bit more romantic, it's about waiting but still with a depressing touch to it

The choreo for this song was made by Aina the End, the group's main vocalist

This single contrasts a lot with the first major single, called Deadman, which was firmly punk

For me, it's still a success, it's enjoyable and the sound is well made but yes,

it's far from the rebel style they've been sticking to

PV-wise, there's not much going on, there's a story side with some girl running around Shibuya

and the big part focusing on the members dancing on a rooftop...

And, well, the girl finds the spot but BiSH has just vanished..

HA!

Track on the Killer BiSH album released in 2016

The theme is still hijime, but this time from the victim's point of view

The lyrics were written by another member: Lingling, who also portrays the victim

as the chorus is a call-and-answer between the victim and the bullies (the other members)

The lyrics are powerful, the perf is unusual and for me this is Kill'er Bish's best song

It doesn't leave you indifferent, first because of Lingling's screams during the chorus

It starts with some singing-screams and ends up sounding like a piglet being butchered

which could be funny, if you didn't remember the theme....

Not so funny now

Therefore this song touched me a lot, the melody starts very soft intro, almost ballad-ish

There's a supporting drum all way through the song, and there's an interesting alliance between

the chorus which is powerful and the break in the middle, which is more on the ballad side

This, here!

Single released in 2015, it's also on the Brand New Idol Shit album. It ranked 10th on the Top Weekly oricon

and it's the first release with 6 members

The sound this time is more metal, more nervous, mixed with some celtic-inspired instru to it

There's an interesting contrast with the voices which I found very pop..No! It's not like Babymetal

I know you, guys!

The lyrics are amazing because they don't mean shit!

The idea being a song written entirely in Japanese but when you listen to it, it sounds very much English

Therefore it doesn't mean shit, like the title I reckon

If it does, let me know because I never understood

There's a theory saying that the PV was heavily inspired by the Japanese tale Urashima Taro

If you don't know it, it's the story of a fisherman saving a turtle. To thank him, the turtle leads him

to the Dragon King palace under the sea, where he meets a princess. He stays 3 days and when leaving,

he's presented with a box, which he should never open.

Now, back on the ground, it turns out 300 years have passed, not 3 days.

He ends up opening the box and er... either he dies or he turns into a very old man. Either way, it doesn't end well!

There you go!

The costumes have Pirate-touch to them and there's also a cute dance routine for the idol side of things

Monsters was released initially on the first album and was re-recorded for the Fake Metal jacket one

And the reason for that is because it was also written by Yukako Love Deluxe, who...you know, left the band

Tralala~~

The song was released in 2015 but the PV came out in 2016 to promote the Fake Metal Jacket album

which ranked 5th on the Daily Oricon album charts and 13th on the Weekly Oricon

The song starts with a pop melody before Aina starts screaming and the hard rock sound joins in

There's so many explosion in that PV it could have been directed by Michael Bay

Opening sweetly on the members being dumped in a pile of shit... or is it dirt?

Then cut with scenes where they're "trained" by a highly abusive sergeant

before running through what seems to be a minefield to get to a van in order to escape

Too bad the said van explodes when they start the engine...

Such a shame!

There you have it, I hope you liked this video. Let me know in the comments about your favourite BiSH songs

If you liked it, please give the video a thumbs up and share it around you

If you any request, I'm available on TW, FB, IG I'll put all links in the description below

along with the link to BiSH's official Youtube channel!

Go check it for yourself

If you missed last week's video it's right here, go watch it and let me know your thoughts

And as usual, remember to subscribe so you don't miss next week's video!

That's it for me this week, see you soon!

"Will the I-235 project be fully completed?" - Duration: 4:06.

9:24, CONTINUING OUR TRANCE

-- TRANSPORTATION

CONVERSATION.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST, LONGEST

PROJECT OH. HAS EVER TAKEN ON.

IT IS THAT SECTION RIGHT THERE,

I-235, 50TH STREET, MOST PEOPLE

WILL KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING

ABOUT.

I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE FUTURE,

THOUGH.

IT IS GOING TO MAKE PEOPLE

SUFFER FOR LITTLE BIT, BUT NO

PAIN, NO GAIN.

IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

I DRIVE THROUGH ALL THE TIME,

THOSE THAT HAVE DRIVEN THROUGH

KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT.

WHAT IS IT GOING TO LOOK LIKE

WHEN IT IS FINISHED?

>> I'M GLAD YOU ASKED.

IT'S GOING TO BE STATE OF THE

ART.

THERE WILL BE SIX LANES TO

THROUGH TRAFFIC, BUT MOST OF THE

TIME USED THE TIME YOU SEE EIGHT

TO 10 LANES BECAUSE OF AUXILIARY

LANES.

IT ALLOWS US TO NOT HAVE TO

COMPETE FOR LANES HERE TO YOU

GET ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND TRY TO

GET WITHIN THE TRAFFIC WITHIN

SECONDS.

AND THAT WORKED FOR BACK WHEN

THIS WAS DESIGNED FOR 30,000

CARS A DAY, BUT TODAY WE ARE

LOOKING AT ABOUT 100,000 CARS.

SO, NOT ONLY WILL IT HAVE A LOT

MORE LANES, BUT THE RAMPS WILL

LOOK MORE LIKE THE FLYOVER RAMPS

AT LAKE HEFNER PARTWAY --

PARKWAY.

THE BRIDGES WILL BE EXTREMELY

STATE-OF-THE-ART, LARGER, THAT

IS WHY WE HAVE TO DECONSTRUCT

THEM TO BUILD THEM FURTHER OUT.

LASTLY, JUST THE CURBS AND

ANGLES WILL BE ELIMINATED AS

MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

SO NO MORE BOTTLENECKING.

THOSE WHO LIVE HERE A LONG TIME

CALL IT MALFUNCTION JUNCTION.

I'M SURE YOU LOVE TO HEAR THAT.

MELANIE ASKED, WITH THE BUDGET

CRISIS OUR STATE IS FACING, WILL

THIS PROJECT BE CARRIED OUT AND

FULLY COMPLETED?

OUR ROADS ARE BAD, BRIDGES ARE

CRUMBLING.

BUT OF THE STATE, HOW ARE YOU

SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO

GET THIS DONE.

>> SHE IS VERY SMART TO REMEMBER

THAT WE MENTIONED THIS A MONTH

AGO.

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT WE HAVE --

THE BUDGET CRISIS DIDN'T TAKE

AWAY THE FUNDS INITIALLY THEY

TALKED ABOUT.

IT STILL TOOK ABOUT 150 MILLION

FROM OUR BUDGET, AND 50 MILLION

OF THAT IMPACTS OUR OPERATING

BUDGET AND MAINTENANCE, AND 100

MILLION OF THAT WILL IMPACT OUR

CONSTRUCTION GOING FORWARD.

SO, THE GOOD NEWS IS, THE ONES

IN THE WORKS TODAY WILL CONTINUE

TO MOVE ON.

OF COURSE, THE FUNDING BILL HAS

NOT BEEN SIGNED YET, WE ALWAYS

FIND SURPRISES, AND HOPEFULLY

THAT IS ALL THAT WAS TAKEN.

BUT AT THIS POINT IT LOOKS LIKE

THE PROJECTS ALREADY IN

CONSTRUCTION WILL CONTINUE TO BE

SAFE.

>> WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME,

BUT THE MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT

THE HIGHWAY -- ONE BE ABLE TO

FINISH IT, YOU ARE SAYING IT IS

NOT A POSSIBILITY?

>> NOT IN THIS CASE.

IT WILL IMPACT FUTURE PROJECTS

AND WE STILL HAVE TWO A BIG

PHASES TO THE NORTHEAST AND A

LITTLE BIT TO THE SOUTHEAST, SO

WE STILL HAVE A LITTLE MORE TO

DO THEIR.

WE ARE HOPING IT MIGHT JUST BE

DELAYED, BUT TAKING AWAY 100

MILLION DOLLARS, WE CANNOT SAY

IT WILL IMPACT IT.

>> THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING

HERE.
