2017 Jeeps At The Farm - Jeep Show, Mudding & Off-Roading With ExtremeTerrain - Duration: 8:50.

Ryan: I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrian.com.

And in this episode of Throttle Out, we're here at the Jeeps at the Farm event that we

are proud to be the lead sponsor of yet again.

We're gonna be bringing you guys with us as we go through the Show and Shine as well as

hitting that Comp Course.

And the Jeep that we're going to be bringing through that course is the built Dune Four

Let's go check out the event.

So we're checking out the Show and Shine area.

There are a ton of JKs, JKUs, but we also have some CJs, XJs, a little bit of everything,

including some really well built TJs here.

Not everybody's ready for that Show and Shine judging, a couple people have already hit

the Comp Course and are already absolutely covered in mud but we're gonna check out everything

that's here.

Ryan: So as we're walking through the Show and Shine area, a Jeep that definitely caught

my eye is the one behind us here.

And luckily Denny was here to tell us a little bit about it.

Very nice to meet you, Denny.

Denny: Nice to meet you.

Ryan: Thanks for telling us about your Jeep.

So the thing is obviously huge, it's on 40's.

Tell us a little bit about what you did to it.

Denny: It's a 2013 JKU Rubicon, 5 1/2 inch lift, there's a custom roll cage in it, a

custom hood, the bumpers and stuff.

Like I said, you're running on 40's, you've got to run big.

Ryan: Absolutely, and it is probably one of the biggest Jeeps out here, it's absolutely

beautifully done.

And you were telling me, it's daily driven as well right?

Denny: It's my daily driver, I drive it every day back and forth to work.

Ryan: So running 40's every day on the street, what gears are you running?

Denny: I'm running 4 88 gears and it seems like it's doing pretty good, I'm getting about

15 miles to the gallon so I can't complain.

Ryan: And with those gears, it feels pretty peppy?

Do you have any power adders on it?

Denny: Yeah, I have plenty of power, I just put the super chip in it so that's going to

help me a little bit more.

Ryan: Yeah, absolutely.

Any thoughts about any kind of forced induction maybe, a ripped supercharger?

Turbo?

Denny: I'm trying, believe me, I'm trying.

I've got to talk my wife into it, you know, that's how it always works, you know, you've

got to talk to them first.

But that's my next step.

Ryan: Yeah, that would definitely help with turning these big tires for sure.

Denny: Like today, I'm gonna take it on the track and make sure it gets dirty.

Ryan: There you go.

And that's the impressive part because when I saw it, when you see big wheels, big tires

sometimes, the Jeeps never see mud.

This one, it's got the rock rash on the wheels to prove it.

Denny's here, he's gonna run it through the course.

This one sees the on-road and the off-road and it is just an incredibly well-built Jeep,

Denny, thank you so much for telling us about it.

Denny: Thank you.

Ryan: So we have all kinds of Jeeps here, I mentioned from every different generation

but also all different purposes.

There are some Jeeps that are here built specifically for the trails and then Jeeps like this which

do not hit the trails.

Now I know this is not gonna be everybody's cup of tea but it certainly is eye catching.

This thing has a ton of work done to it and it's done in a different way than a lot of

the other rigs that you'll see here.

First and foremost, you're gonna see this thing has a set of 37 x 1350 tires on it.

And even though they're 1350's, they are stretched on these absolutely massive chrome wheels.

These things, I'm guessing are probably 22's, maybe even a little bit bigger and they are

definitely wide.

When you move up from the wheel and tire package, you definitely need a big lift to support

that, probably 5-6 inches.

It has turbo badging all over it, so definitely some power adders to help you turn those big

37's, to make this thing run really, really fast on the street.

It has lights everywhere you could possibly have a light and in some places, I didn't

even know you could have lights.

And I even saw a nitrous bottle in the back, now it could be a CO2 bottle or it could actually

be nitrous.

There are a couple of LEDs facing directly up in this hood vent.

If it does have nitrous on it, that could be where the nitrous purge is to light up

that cloud which would actually be pretty cool.

It also has lights behind these huge wheels so as you're running down the road at night

when you're hitting the shows, those are going to be on as well.

So obviously, not spending a lot of time on the trail.

So we're here at the obstacle course, there are a ton of awesome things setup over here.

We've got big rock piles, some cars to crush.

Of course, the mud pit which is always a big crowd favorite.

It's been awesome checking out everybody else running through this stuff but now it's my

turn.

Right off the bat, they've got a couple of hills here, just to kind of get you warmed

up, nothing that this Jeep can't handle, this thing is pretty well built.

Got some berms here to get a little bit off camber, gonna roll up on the side here, get

a little tippy.

It's always fun hitting these man-made hills, you're looking at the sky, then you're looking

at the ground, then the sky again.

Got some twisties here, I didn't disconnect the sway bars on this thing, so we'll see,

we'll see if we can't get it three wheeling a little bit.

Yeah, definitely got a tire lifting off the ground there.

This is a pretty cool obstacle we have up here too, got some telephone poles is all

that, watching the spotter, making sure that you have exact control over the Jeep, making

sure you're going straight and you're not going to slip off the poles.

Looks like the next row of this course has a couple of rocks, that'll be fun to hit.

Starting to build up a little bit, a little more challenging here and there.

Some logs here looks like it's plenty wide, shouldn't have a problem going left to right.

Just take it slow over top of that.

Loop around here, do a 180 back onto the next section, you've got some bigger rocks, some

bigger boulders, should be okay, I'm gonna stick to the right side here, take it nice

and easy.

Using those skid plates almost got hung up.

This looks like the biggest hill, straight up and over.

This is definitely one where you're gonna see sky then ground.

Then the car crush.

The cars are pretty flat at this point but it should still be fun.

Hopefully, I don't get hung up on anything but we've got skid plates.

And now for everybody's favorite, the mud pit.

This thing looks like it's been awesome all day long, tons of Jeeps coming out the other

side, absolutely covered in mud.

We're going to hammer down and see if we can't have some fun with it.

Got to give them a little bit of a show.

So we're coming to the end of the day here.

We have a beautiful 67 Mustang.

When I saw the Mustang I knew it would be a great day.

I got nervous when I saw the car outside the front door.

When I saw her I got even more nervous

… then I got to drive the car.

Oh my God, that's a pretty car.

Oh wow!

It's fantastic.

One day when I was walking into work,

how about getting a Mustang as a wedding car.

I didn't know anything about it.

It was a huge huge surprise.

Just hearing the sound of the engine warms the heart.

When the big day arrived,

it was just as beautiful as I had hoped.

It was an amazing wedding ...

and the car was perfect.

Indescribable.

I'm very glad that I followed through with the idea,

to actually get a Ford Mustang as our wedding car.

Everything You Need to Read on a Tire's Sidewall | Truck Accessories Explained - Duration: 3:04.

Hey guys, Ken here with 4 Wheel Online and today I'm going to walk you through every

single bit of writing on the side of this Nitto Trail Grappler tire and explain what

it all means.

First things first, this is a 37 inch Nitto Trail Grappler tire.

We know this because it's written in huge lettering down the side.

The size is 37x13.50R20LT, that means it's a flotation rated tire as compared to a metric

rated.

If you want to learn more about sizing of metric and flotation rated tires be sure to

watch our video that goes over every piece of it.

Next up we have the DOT Code.

This will show us when and where the tire was made, and can be very important in judging

the age of a tire.

This tire's DOT code is 73TE (6PW3115).

That may seem confusing and convoluted, but I promise, it's not actually that hard.

The 73 is the manufacturer and plant, in this case Toyo Tires' Georgia plant.

(yes, Toyo owns Nitto if you weren't aware)

The TE is some sort of sizing code that we couldn't find much information on and isn't

super important for a majority of people.

Next we have 6PW, which is the manufacturer's identification number, another code that isn't

very important to us.

The last four digits, however are very important.

They represent the week and year that the tire was made.

This tire was made in the 31st week of 2015.

Over here in smaller text, and in more of a standard size that you'll see on most

tires we have the sizing info again, but this section includes the tire's load capacity,

speed rating and ply rating.

The load capacity on this tire is 127, which charts list as 3,858lbs.

We can see this confirmed by even smaller text that reads "Max Load 1250 KG or 3860

lbs."

Following load capacity is a single letter representing the tire's speed rating.

This tire has a Q, which means it's rated to 100 miles per hour.

The 10 P.R. is the Ply Rating, so this tire has 10 plys.

You can also confirm this from the Load Range E listed right here.

The last two pieces of information we need to look at are the max PSI, in this case 65

PSI and the M + S designation which stands for Mud and Snow.

Do note that this tire doesn't have the Mountain Snowflake graphic to designate that

it's rated for severe snow use.

We're nearing the end of this video, but did you notice the marking on the side of

this tire that prevents it from being used?

This tire has a huge slash on the sidewall.

While you're reading the info on your tire, make sure to look out for dry rot and other

damage.

Now, I know we just went over a bunch of codes, and only spoke about this tire in particular,

but you can find just about everything you need to know about tire codes on Wikipedia.
