-Before we get into the interview, I just want to give
a quick shout-out to your dad. -Yes! It's his 70th birthday.

Did he get you into skiing?
-He did. I learned how to ski in between his legs, yeah.
I hear you just learned. I heard you're learning.
-I'm terrible. -You're in the middle
of learning. -So I have 13 years of learning.
[ Laughter ]
-That is longer than I thought. -My wife, she can ski --
My wife can ski, but I can't, so...
-But you can ski with your kids. -I am raising them --
-I bet you're as good as a 4-year-old, I assume.
[ Laughter ]
-Big assumption. -They think I'm great.
I mean, they think -- they don't know any different.
-Yeah, well, I think I'm a good skier,
and then my 6-year-old can do everything that I can do.
-I went and I got a massage after, which I don't really get.
-Well, the après-ski massage
might be the whole reason to ski, is so you can get massages.
-I'm not really a massage guy so much,
but I did 'cause I figured, "Well, I'll sore from skiing."
They go, "Well, what's sore? Is your legs sore from skiing?"
I go, "My arms are sore."
And they go, "Yeah, you're doing it wrong."
I don't know why they would be sore at all, but I'm that tense.
I'm like... [ breathing heavily ].
-Yeah, with your poles. -[ Straining ]
"Are we ready to go in, have a drink? Come on, let's go.
My doctor's calling now." -What's your après-ski drink?
-Uh...what is my bev?
Hot cocoa. You got to do it, man.
-Oh, yeah! -I do a hot chocolate
and do it up with the kids. -Okay, this is --
I'm telling a tale I probably shouldn't tell, but...
-What? -We go to this place --
I don't -- We go -- We don't -- I have a house,
so I don't stay at any of the hotels,
but there's a fancy hotel where I go skiing,
and they have a cocoa bar [whispers] for free.
[Normal voice] And we just kind of go in like we own the place
and just take -- Guys, they have --
They shave Heath Bar into the cocoa...
-What?! -With fresh whipped cream
and marshmallows and the whole thing,
and we just all go in there and --
I buy drinks at the bar.
I mean, I'm not like totally scamming the place, but...
-I think you are, though. I mean,
you have to be staying there to get it for free.
It's not free for everyone.
-Ehhh, yeah, it's free if you're staying there...
or if you're me. [ Laughs ]
-Do they think you're staying there, or do they just know you?
-Um...they do know my name, which is, I guess, very nice.
-You're totally scamming these people.
-I don't know what they think.
They did ask me once if I wanted to put it on the room,
and I was like, "No, no, I'll just put it on my credit card."
-'Cause I don't have a room! -'Cause I don't have a room.
-'Cause I'm not staying here! Yeah.
[ Laughter ]
-But we do what we do in life.
It's a free hot cocoa bar. Come on.
-It's fine. That's your bev as well, hot cocoa?
You have to, right? -Oh, after, which is so yummy.
And then you can put a little Baileys in it.
-Oh, yeah. -Right.
-Shoot, or just get rid of the hot cocoa
and just have the Baileys.
Screw that, I'll just have a whiskey.
-We could hang out. -We could hang, yeah.
-But I got -- yeah, we got kids, too, yeah.
[ Laughter ]
But it is -- are they psyched that you're in "Lego Movie"
and "Lego Movie 2"?
-Yes, they are. -Do they understand yet?
-They do, yeah. I have a 6-year-old
and 7 1/2, almost 8,
and they absolutely, 100% totally get it now.
-I love that the first "Lego Movie"
was fantastically written and it was funny,
and it was like one of those movies where your kids
watch it all the time and I go, "I don't mind watching this
like 1,000 times." -It's so fun.
-[ Singsong voice ] Everything is awesome.
-There's an amazing -- There are a couple incredible songs
in this new one. We really like --
It's got a lot of great musical numbers.
"Everything Is Awesome" is such a great song.
There's a new song in this one that's crazier,
more of an earworm... -No.
-Yes. -Than "Everything Is Awesome"?
-Yes. -I find that hard to believe
'cause that one was stuck in there forever.
In fact, a lot of people are made at me right now
that they've got it back in their head.
They go, "I just got rid of it!" -"I just got rid of
[ Singsong voice ] 'Everything Is Awesome'."
-Oh, it's so good! I know, I love it!
What I like about these things is -- 'cause you see it,
it's animated, it's a cartoon,
but it's got good jokes for adults.
But it's got good action. -Really good action.
-How they're doing this makes it look like these lego things
or pieces are flying everywhere, and it's like...
-We have to do all the action. Like, we have to act it out
in the booth. [ Laughs ] -What's that like?
-When you imagine us being like, "Hyah! Yah!"
-What? Wait. Do you do that? Whoa.
-Yeah. -Do you get really physical?
You don't have to, though. -You do, though!
You really can tell if you're just like, "Hyah."
See the difference between like...[screams] "Hyah!"
-Oh, yes! Stop! Yes! I can see the difference.
-It's a good -- -[ Laughing ] Oh, my God...
-Got to act it out. -You have to act it out.
-Yeah, and we fall, we get thrown down, it's fun.
