"A pinch of paprika."

A pinch.

Is that paprikash?

I thought it might lift your spirits.

Spirits lifted.

In my defense,

I haven't actually ever eaten anything before, so...

May I?

Please.

- Wanda? - Hmm.

No one dislikes you, Wanda.

Thanks.

Oh, you're welcome.

No, it's a involuntary response in their amygdala.

They can't help but be afraid of you.

Are you?

My amygdala is synthetic, so...

I used to think of myself one way.

But after this...

I am something else.

I'm still me, I think, but...

that's not what everyone else sees.

Do you know, I don't know what this is?

Not really.

I know it's not of this world...

that it powered Loki's staff,

gave you your abilities, but...

its true nature is a mystery.

And yet, it is part of me.

Are you afraid of it?

I wish to understand it.

The more I do, the less it controls me.

One day... who knows?

I may even control it.

I don't know what's in this but it is not paprika.

I'm gonna go to the store.

I'll be back in 20 minutes.

Alternatively, we could order a pizza?

Vision, are you not letting me leave?

It is a question of safety.

I can protect myself.

Not yours.

Mr Stark would like to avoid the possibility

of another public incident.

Until the Accords are on a more secure foundation.

And what do you want?

For people to see you...

as I do.

Where Will the Space Launch System Take Us? Preparing For The Most Powerful Rocket Ever Built - Duration: 10:04.

NASA is in an awkward in-between time right now since the beginning of the

Space Age the agency has had the ability to send its astronauts into space the

first American to go to space Alan Shepard did a sub orbital launch onboard

a mercury redstone rocket in 1961 then the rest of the mercury astronauts went

on Atlas rockets and then the Gemini astronauts flew on various titan rockets

NASA's ability to hurl people and their equipment into space to quantum leap

with the enormous Saturn 5 rocket used in the Apollo program it's difficult to

properly comprehend just how powerful the Saturn 5 was so I'll give you some

examples of the things this monster could launch a single Saturn 5 could

blast 120 2,000 kilograms or 269 thousand pounds into low-earth orbit or

send 49 thousand kilograms or 107 thousand pounds on a transfer orbit to

the moon instead of continuing on with the Saturn program NASA decided to shift

gears and build the mostly reusable space shuttle although it's shorter than

the Saturn 5 the space shuttle with its twin external solid rocket boosters

could put 27 thousand 500 kilograms or 60,000 pounds into low-earth orbit not

too bad and then in 2011 the space shuttle program wrapped up and with it

the United States ability to launch humans into space and most importantly

to send astronauts to the continuously inhabited international space station

that task is falling to Russian Rockets until the u.s. builds back the capacity

for human spaceflight since the cancellation of the shuttle NASA's

workforce of engineers and rocket scientists have been developing the next

heavy lift vehicle in NASA's lineup the Space Launch System the SLS looks like a

cross between a Saturn 5 and the space shuttle has the same familiar solid

rocket boosters but instead of the Space Shuttle Orbiter and it's orange external

fuel tank the SLS has the central core it has four of a space shuttles rs.25

liquid oxygen engines NASA knows how to use them how to use

them safely the very first configuration of the sls

known as the block one should have the ability to put about 70 metric tons into

low-earth orbit and that's just the beginning it's just an estimate over

time nasa will increase its capabilities and launch power to match more and more

ambitious missions and destinations with more launches look at a better sense of

what this thing is capable of after the block one is launching nasa will develop

the block 1b which puts a much larger upper stage on top of the same core

stage this upper stage will have a larger fairing and more powerful second

stage engine capable of putting 97.5 metric tons into low-earth orbit finally

there's the block 2 with an even larger launch fairing and a more powerful upper

stage it should blast a hundred and forty-three tons into low-earth orbit

probably NASA is developing this version as a hundred and thirty ton class rocket

but we don't know what the upper end is and with this much launch capacity what

can be done with it what kinds of missions become possible on a rocket

this powerful the main goal for SLS it's to send humans out beyond low-earth

orbit ideally to Mars in the 2030s but could also go to asteroids the moon

whatever you like and you'll see later on in this video it could send some

amazing scientific missions out there - the very first flight for SLS called

exploration mission-1 will be to put the new Orion crew module into a trajectory

that takes it around the moon in a very similar flight to Apollo 8 but there

won't be any humans just the unmanned Orion module and a bunch of cube sets

coming along for the ride Orion will spend about three weeks in space

including about six days in a retrograde orbit around the moon and if all goes

well the first use the SLS what the Orion crew module will happen sometime

in 2019 but also don't be surprised if it gets pushback that's the name of the

game after exploration mission-1 there's eeehm - which should happen a

few years after that it's only the first time humans get into an Orion crew

module and take a flight into space you'll spend 21 days in a lunar orbit

and deliver first component of the future deep space

gateway which will be the subject of future video from there the future is

unclear but SLS will provide the capability to put various habitats and

space stations into cislunar space opening up the future of human space

exploration of the solar system now I just introduced the Space Launch System

and what its first missions will be in a moment I'm going to talk about some of

the more exotic uses SLS could be used for it but first I'd like to thank Doug

bro Mason moody Charles white Scott Gumpert and the rest of our 760 patrons

for the generous support if you love what we're doing and you want to get in

on the action head over to patreon a calm plush

universe today now you know where SLS is probably headed but the key to this

hardware is if it gives NASA raw capability to put humans and robots into

space not just here on earth but way across the solar system

use Space Telescope's robotic explorers Rovers orbiters and even human habitats

in a recent study called the Space Launch System capabilities for beyond

Earth missions a team of engineers mapped out what the SLS should be

capable of putting into the solar system for example Saturn is a difficult liner

to reach and in order to get there NASA's Cassini spacecraft needs to do

several gravitational slingshot surround earth and one past Jupiter and took

about seven years to get to Saturn SLS could 10 missions to Saturn on a direct

trajectory cutting the flight time down to just four years block one could send

2.7 tons to Saturn while block 1b could LA 5.1 tons NASA is considering a

mission to Jupiter's Trojan asteroids these are collection of space rocks

trapped in Jupiter's l4 and l5 Lagrange points and could be a fascinating place

of study once put into the Trojan region a

mission could visit several different asteroids sampling of vast range of

rocks that detailed solar systems early history the block one could put almost

3.97 tons into these orbits while the block 1b could do 7.5 9 tons that's six

times the capability of an Atlas 5 a mission like this would have a

of ten years in a previous video we talked about the future Uranus and

Neptune missions and how a single SLS could send spacecraft to both planets

simultaneously another idea that I like is an inflatable habitat from Bigelow

Aerospace the BA 2100 module would be a fully self-contained space habitat no

need for other modules this monster would be 65 to 800 tons and would go up

in a single launch of SLS once inflated it would contain 2250 cubic meters which

is almost three times the total living space of the International Space

Station's one of the most exciting missions to me is a next-generation

Space Telescope something that would be the true spiritual successor to the

Hubble Space Telescope there are few proposals in the works right now but the

one I like the best is the Louvois telescope which would have a mirror that

measures 16 metres across the SLS block 1b could put 36.9 tons into sun earth

LaGrant - really there's nothing else out there that could put this much mass

into that orbit and just for comparison Hubble has a mirror of 2.4 meters across

and James Webb is 6.5 will be war you would have 10 times more resolution than

James Webb and 300 times more power than Hubble but like Hubble it would be

capable of seeing the universe invisible and other wavelengths a telescope like

this could directly image the event horizons of supermassive black hole see

right to the edge of the observable universe and watch the first galaxies

forming the first stars it could directly observe planets orbiting other

stars and help us determine they have life on them seriously I want this

telescope now at this point I know it's going to set off a big argument about

NASA versus SpaceX versus other private launch providers it's fine I get it and

the Falcon Heavy is expected to launch later this year bringing heavy lift

launch capability at an affordable price it'll be able to loft 54 thousand

kilograms which is less than the SLS block one and almost a third of the key

of the block to blue origins has this new Glen and there are heavier rockets

in the works from United Launch Alliance area in space and the Russian Space

Agency and even the Chinese the future of heavy lift has never been more

exciting and if SpaceX does get the interplanetary transport ship going with

300 tons into orbit on a reusable rocket well then everything changes everything

until then I'm still looking forward to the SLS what places would you like to

see the SLS travel to let me know your thoughts in the comments now I'm going

to anticipate arguments about SpaceX vs. NASA so please be civil in our next

episode I think I'm going to talk about really cool space programs missions and

Space Telescope's that got cancelled this one's going to make you really sad

today's playlist let's start with a cool video animation about the Space Launch

System from NASA then an episode of tomorrow about the SLS a really cool

video showing an engine test for us LS a promotional video from Boeing about

their involvement and finally a longer talk from NASA about SLS and that starts

right now the very first configuration of the SLS

known as the black one let's go back

Secondary Service Connections in a VA Disability Claim - Duration: 11:28.

Good afternoon, and welcome to our Facebook Live broadcast today.

My name is Cindy Speaker.

I have with me today Nathan Guin of Gardberg & Kemmerly.

He's going to talk with us about service connections and rather specifically about secondary service

connections.

Nathan, thanks for being with us today.

Thank you for having me.

I always enjoy it.

Yeah.

I always enjoy talking to you.

It's great.

We're getting a nice rhythm going here, so it's good.

Yeah, absolutely.

Let's start off by talking about a service connection.

What exactly is that, and also, let me clarify that we're talking about veterans disability

claims.

Right.

A service connection as it pertains to the disability claims for veterans is essentially

the technical term for ... Okay.

You're going to get disability compensation for a particular injury or disease that occurred

in service.

A typical example would be if you hurt your knee in service and you apply for a claim,

you prove that you had an injury in service, there's a medical nexus linking it to your

currently diagnosed knee disability, then they would grant you what's called service

connection.

It's VA's acknowledgement that your current disability is related to an injury or an event

that occurred at service.

Okay.

Let me just say that last time Nathan talked with us about nexus medical opinions.

You can follow up on the Gardberg & Kemmerly various sites on YouTube or Facebook to find

out more about the nexus medical opinion that you mentioned.

Go ahead.

Okay.

You talked about the service connection.

What are the different types of service connection?

There's two basic types and then beyond that there's subsections.

There's direct service connection and there's secondary service connection.

I know we're going to talk specifically about secondary service connections, so direct service

connection I just want to touch on for a second.

That would be like the example I just gave you, knee injury in service or you fall in

service and you hurt your back, your knee, whatever it may be.

You show a medical link between that injury and a current diagnosis.

That is direct service connection.

There's a direct link between service and your disability that you have now.

Beyond that in terms of direct service connection, there's also presumptive service connection,

and those are for particular groups of veterans.

If you were in country in Vietnam, there are some presumptive conditions that are still

technically direct service connections, so if you were in country in Vietnam and you

have diabetes or coronary artery disease or diabetes, those are direct service connection,

but they are given on a presumptive basis.

If you can prove that you stepped foot in Vietnam and you have a current diagnosis of

any of those conditions ... And there's more than the ones I just named, but they're pretty

voluminous.

If you can show that, then they'll grant you service connection on a direct basis.

Those are the two types of direct service connection.

Secondary service connection doesn't have to be related to service.

It just has to be related to a service connected condition.

For example, if you hurt your right knee in service and there is a back disability or

your left knee has a disability and you have a doctor or medical expert say but for this

right knee disability that's service connected and occurred in service and the VA recognizes

that service connection, your left knee or your back or whatever it may be wouldn't be

injured or be disabled, so you can connect it because the service connected injury caused

a disability that would not otherwise have occurred.

Okay.

Is that harder to prove?

Not necessarily.

In some cases, it is easier.

Well, maybe not easier, but there's less steps.

With direct service connection, you have to show something in service, a nexus, and then

a current disability.

With secondary, you don't have to prove that anything occurred in service, because there's

already a service connected condition.

That part of it is already conceded.

You just have to prove a current diagnosis, a current disability, whatever that may be,

and then a medical link between the two.

There's one less step that you have to go through.

I don't know if it's necessarily easier.

I should say that it's one step less.

Yeah.

Okay.

Are the evidentiary requirements the same for secondary service connection as direct

service connection?

Yeah.

They are, other than, of course, the injury in service.

That would be eliminated, but it's the same in terms of you have to have a current disability,

a currently diagnosed disability, and then a nexus opinion that links that particular

disability to your service connected disability that caused it.

Okay.

Give us some common instances of this secondary service connection.

A lot of times, if a veteran has an issue with their feet or their ankles or their knees,

most of the time, that will ... We see a lot of left knee or right knee total knee replacement.

Then that alters your gait.

It alters the way that you distribute your weight, and then it puts more pressure on

the knee that didn't get replaced.

A lot of times you end up having to have a knee replacement there due to your service

connected total knee replacement for whichever knee it may be.

We see a lot of that.

A lot of them involve the lower extremities, your legs, knees, feet, like I said.

A lot of that stuff travels up and affects your back.

Anything that really affects your gait is usually where we see a lot of secondary connection

claims.

Okay.

Interesting.

Let me ask you about a couple of the other ones.

You mentioned presumptive, so there are different types of service connection.

You mentioned presumptive, so is it just direct, secondary, and presumptive?

Unless there's a new one they've come up with that I'm not aware of.

Those are the three main ways to do it.

Yeah.

Can you just mention a little ... Help us understand the presumptive a little better?

Right.

The two major groups of veterans who will be affected by presumptive disabilities will

be Vietnam veterans, specifically those who were in Vietnam and in some instances were

on bases in Thailand.

If you had boots on the ground in Vietnam, you're presumed to have been exposed to Agent

Orange or herbicides.

Agent Orange is the common term or the slang term for it.

You're presumed to have been exposed to Agent Orange, and there are a list of, I believe,

eight diseases that are related or they have been conceded as related to Agent Orange exposure.

If you were in Vietnam, and the dates ... I can't remember of the top of my head.

There's a specific range of dates.

It's over about 12 years.

If you stepped foot in Vietnam and in some cases if you were in Thailand and you can

prove you worked around the perimeter of your base, then you can get service connection

for coronary artery disease, multiple myeloma, diabetes.

Those are the main ones for that.

Then there's another group, Camp Lejeune Marines.

For a period of about 30 years from the '50s to the '80s, there was a contaminated water

issue at Camp Lejeune.

A lot of those overlap, but if you were at Camp Lejeune for 30 days between that 30-year

period ... It doesn't have to be consecutive days.

It just has to be 30 cumulative days ... and you have, let's say, for instance, bladder

cancer or kidney cancer.

There's a number of different other issues, obviously, that are listed ... and you can

just show that you were there and that you are currently diagnosed with one of those

conditions, then that will be service connected on a presumptive basis as well.

Is there a time period once you return from service wherein you need to establish that,

or is it whenever?

For presumptive illnesses, all you have to prove is that you were there at the specified

time that the VA lays out and that you're currently diagnosed.

The only reason that claiming it earlier would be better would be to protect your effective

date.

Generally speaking, you'll already be diagnosed with whatever the condition is, because otherwise,

you probably wouldn't be filing a claim for it.

Right, right.

The date of your claim is going to act as your effective date for the initial rating.

Other than protecting the ... To maximize your benefits, there's no statutory limit

to when you can file.

Yeah.

Nathan, let me ask you this.

Are there any connections in the process of being made in the medical field that could

emerge?

What we're seeing claimed a lot and actually seeing some support for ... We've got some

nexus opinions from doctors for and there's a lot of studies on it, even on the VA's website

you can find it ... is sleep apnea as secondary to PTSD.

There's a lot of these studies coming out showing that a sleep impairment and a lot

of the symptoms of PTSD can put veterans who have PTSD at a high risk for sleep apnea.

It's not conceded.

The VA hasn't said if you have PTSD, you can get sleep apnea service connected as secondary

to that, but we have had cases where we've had their psychiatrist, veterans psychiatrist,

write up a nexus opinion and say, "I think this is well-linked, that the sleep apnea

is linked to the PTSD," and there are studies that show a high risk.

Whether that becomes a presumptive secondary condition down the road, we'll have to see.

I would certainly hope so.

That would be great for our veterans, because most of our veterans that have PTSD also have

sleep apnea, just because that seems to go hand in hand.

Yeah.

Yeah.

That's very interesting.

So the sleep apnea would clearly be either secondary or, as you said, presumptive.

It would not be the direct.

Is that correct?

Right.

It would be secondary to PTSD.

Whether they wanted to make a presumptive secondary issue, I don't know if they would,

but they're definitely ... It seems to be more coming around that that is an issue that

is more prevalent in those veterans with PTSD than the average veteran or the average person.

Okay.

Okay.

Nathan, if people had questions, specific questions, about veterans disability law,

how can they reach you or someone in your office?

There's a couple of different ways you can get in touch with us.

You can call us.

We're here five days a week, regular business hours.

251-343-1111.

You can also get to us at our website, GardbergLaw.com.

That's G-A-R-D-B-E-R-G-L-A-W dot com.

Lastly, you can email us through that as well, or if you want to send us an email at vacontact@gardberglaw.com,

that's also another way that you can reach us.

Okay.

VA contact.

Am I correct?

You handle these cases across the country.

We do.

Currently, we've got clients that are veterans that are spread out everywhere.

We have veterans in Idaho, Connecticut, Michigan, Texas.

If you name it, they're probably there.

We can handle claims from Mobile to California to Maine, wherever.

Wherever the veteran is, if they need help, we can help them.

Excellent.

Excellent.

Well, Nathan, thanks a lot for your time today.

Absolutely.

Thank you for having me.

I appreciate it.

Yeah, and we'll talk again soon.

All right.

Sounds good.

I'm looking forward to it.

Okay.

Bye bye.

How To Use Female CONDOM (STEP BY STEP) - Duration: 3:09.

The female condom is bigger than a male condom, but don't worry: it's not uncomfortable when you insert it If you can use a tampon, you can probably use a female condom. 1 Check the expiration date on the package, and then open it carefully. 2. The female condom comes already lubricated, but you can add more lube if you want. You can also add spermicide. 3. Relax and get into a comfortable position. Standing with one foot on a chair, lying down, or squatting are common faves — kind of like how you'd put in a tampon. 4. Squeeze together the sides of the inner ring at the closed end of the condom and slide it into your vagina like a tampon. 5. Push the inner ring into your vagina as far as it can go, up to your cervix. Make sure it's not twisted. 6. Pull out your finger and let the outer ring hang about an inch outside the vagina. You're good to go! 7. Guide your partner's penis into the opening of the condom, making sure it doesn't slip to the side between the condom and your vaginal walls. 8. To use the female condom for anal sex, remove the inner ring and insert the condom into your anus with your finger, leaving the outer ring hanging out.
