question today's question is how do I say the word division division means to
separate something and is a math operation let's take a look at this word
division this word has three syllables or three beats di vi zhun they're all
short quick syllables and I think this is where people make a mistake is that
people try to make one of these syllables a little bit longer let's
start by saying the syllable di you're going to say this by touching the tip of
your tongue to the back of your top front teeth and then make the short
quick IH sound with a somewhat relaxed mouth move to vi do this by gently
biting your bottom lip keep that air moving out of your mouth and then again
add that short vowel I ih di vi divi end with zhun and you're going to do this by
rounding your lips your tongue doesn't touch anything in your mouth and keep
that air moving out of your mouth really relax your mouth for the short u sound
then end with an N by touching the tip of your tongue to the back of your top
front teeth zhun di vi zhun divi zhunn division sometimes you'll hear people
say this first syllable with an extra short schwa sound uh sound division both
are correct division or division I know those sound almost exactly the same but
there is a slight difference okay let's give this a try division division
division addition subtraction multiplication and division are all
taught in elementary school give it a try
