Youtube daily Jul 7 2017

— Tonight:

Duterte meets his match.

Google fined billions.

And…

The end of the tanning tax.

Lacking the base level of support needed to pass their health care bill,

Senate Republicans delayed the vote to overturn Obamacare until after the July 4th recess.

— This is a very complicated subject.

I remember how challenging it was for the Democrats.

— That is why they are in such trouble,

because their bill is aimed at helping the very wealthy,

whereas we are trying to help American families.

— Secretary of State Rex Tillerson officially classified China as one of the worst human trafficking offenders—

putting it on the same tier as Iran, Syria and North Korea.

— China was downgraded to Tier 3 status in this year's report,

in part because it has not taken serious steps to end its own complicity in trafficking,

including forced laborers from North Korea that are located in China.

— China "resolutely opposes" the move.

The Tier 3 rating could bring sanctions from Washington

and limit access to U.S. and international aid.

The Supreme Court of Brazil is seeking approval for a criminal trial

against the country's deeply unpopular President Michel Temer,

who's been charged with corruption.

Temer is accused of accepting millions of dollars in bribes

connected to a multi-billion dollar money laundering and kickback scandal.

The allegations come nearly a year after Temer replaced former President Dilma Rousseff,

who was impeached for accepting campaign money linked to the same illicit funds.

D.C. became the first city in the country

to roll out a third gender option on its driver's license application.

Residents can now choose "X" as a gender marker—

and they won't need a health provider's note to do so.

— Having this "X" gender marker on my ID,

instead of an "M" or an "F,"

is gonna be a lot more accurate to who I am.

— Oregon will start issuing an "X" option for licenses next Monday.

And in California, similar legislation is being considered.

One year ago, on June 30th, 2016,

Rodrigo Duterte became President of the Philippines.

He hasn't shut up since.

— Mr. Obama, you're gonna go to Hell.

If you destroy my country, I will kill you.

— Duterte positioned himself as the strongman the Philippines needed

to fight drug dealers and restore national pride,

but what happened last month on his home island of Mindanao

has called all that into question.

ISIS-linked terrorist groups have thrived in the city of Marawi,

and Philippine joint forces are in the midst of a full-blown war

that the government badly underestimated.

Hundreds of well-equipped militants showed up to join the battle,

which is now entering its fifth week.

Isobel Yeung reports from Marawi.

— These are the Philippines specials forces on the hunt for ISIS militants.

— More accustomed to jungle fighting than urban warfare,

battling in these tight alleyways is proving harder than expected.

— Are they still here?

— Where are there snipers?

— How close?

— These forces are turning this bombed-out school into a sniper outpost,

and preparing to attack.

— With the enemy now firing back,

the unit is taking cover in this classroom until the escape route is clear.

— Wow.

So crazy to see this was an active school just a couple weeks ago, and now…

it's bombed to smithereens.

Is this the toughest war you've been in?

— Why?

— This is Marawi.

For weeks, the Philippines military, assisted by U.S. Special Forces,

has been pounding this city with airstrikes

and battling house-to-house in an effort root out this man:

Isnilon Hapilon,

the leader of homegrown terror group Abu Sayyaf:

— They pledged allegiance to ISIS in 2014.

— Philippine authorities say Hapilon,

along with another local ISIS-linked militant group called Maute,

were planning to establish Southeast Asia's first Islamic State caliphate here in Marawi,

a predominantly Muslim city in a country that's more than 90 percent Christian.

With an extensive network of hundreds of fighters,

both local and foreign,

these militants have mastered the terrain and stashed away a seemingly endless supplies of weapons.

— We're heading right into Marawi City right now,

towards the heart of the battle.

You can hear this continuing barrage of airstrikes going off, all day long.

— The only functioning building in this part of town

is the tactical command post of one Marine battalion—

the main forward operating base for the armed forces.

— We're being fired at?

— Yes.

— From where?

— From that position.

— From that position?

— Yes. — Okay.

So… we should keep a low profile.

— Yeah.

— Okay.

Have they managed to fire at here, into the base before?

— This is still a hot zone.

— Major Rowan Rimas is one of the commanding officers

who's been stationed here since the fighting began.

— Firing, firing!

— Can you just show us where the enemy is?

— Okay, this is Mapandi Bridge.

Before, this was well-defended.

So they placed car bombs, roadblocks, and they employed the sniper fires.

— So the city is essentially divided by this river going through it.

So the enemy is contained within this area on the other side of the bridge.

— Other side of the bridge.

Now, the target of our maneuvering elements

is to neutralize those vantage positions through our mortar firing.

— Sounds close...

— These guys have been pounding the city with airstrikes,

and they're just about to send this mortar into enemy territory.

— Just hours after we left this base,

these marines were ambushed during an operation.

13 were killed, and at least 40 wounded,

in what was the bloodiest day for the armed forces since the battle began.

— But it's not just militants inside the city.

there are also hundreds of civilians.

We managed to get the number of one man,

who's trapped in the heart of the siege:

— Do you have a plan to escape?

— Are you safe right now?

— Okay—he hung up.

— For the people trapped inside Marawi,

the army is not moving fast enough,

and the situation is becoming more desperate by the day.

— So, is everything going to plan on your side?

— We are doing very well.

— Colonel Jo-Ar Herrera is the spokesperson for Joint Task Force Marawi:

— It's a .50 caliber...

— Despite the military's many setbacks,

he's keen to show us that armed forces

have retrieved around 120 high-powered weapons from the enemy.

— I mean, obviously the insurgents were pretty well-equipped.

How well-equipped are your troops?

— Well, our armed forces are well-educated, highly trained.

We are very capable against terrorism.

— So obviously there's also a lot of criticisms towards the armed forces

suggesting that you're not well-equipped

and that you're not doing a great job, quite frankly,

at pushing back these militants.

— Well, I think that's their opinion.

— How long do you think it's going to be before…?

— Well, we don't want to give a timeline,

because we need to put a premium on the lives of the people who are trapped in that conflict area.

— Obviously time is running out for them, I mean, they've been stuck in there...

— Yes, but we're doing our best.

— Now, as the military ramps up pressure on the remaining terrorist strongholds,

a humanitarian crisis looms.

And concerns that Marawi is only the beginning of an increasingly violent ISIS presence

are rapidly spreading throughout the region.

— Today in Brussels,

the European Commission slapped Google with a $2.7 billion fine.

It's the largest antitrust penalty ever leveled at a single company,

and it's meant to put the tech giant on notice

for using its near-monopoly on search to promote its own online shopping service in Europe.

In 2013,

U.S. antitrust prosecutors tried to stop Google from employing the exact same practice in America.

But Google exhausted them in court, and the prosecutors eventually gave up.

But they didn't have Margrethe Vestager,

the EU's competition commissioner and resident dragon slayer.

Last year,

Vestager found that Apple owed Ireland $14.5 billion in unpaid taxes,

tried to get them to pay up, and landed herself in a huge scrap.

And now, she's done it again.

Today, Vestager gave VICE News exclusive access as she prepared for her latest battle.

— How do you feel on a day like today?

Level of nerves on a scale of one to ten?

— Three to four.

I'm a little nervous.

Not, you know, sort-of heart jumping out of the chest nervous…

but I can feel it.

— Margrethe Vestager is a giant killer.

And this morning,

she's after possibly her biggest scalp yet:

Google.

— Just give me a sense of the preparation that's gone into this announcement, then.

— Well in this case it has taken since…

for real, since autumn 2014.

— A former Deputy Prime Minister of Denmark,

Vestager comes from the dead center of old European politics:

economically and socially liberal,

and convinced that politicians should make globalization work for everybody.

— Is all this because you're Danish?

— No, no, no, I don't think so.

— Is it because the Danes have a particular view

about how we need to stick by the rules…?

— I think it's part of it,

because I come from a society where,

when we're starting out,

inequality is about the same as the U.S.

Then, we tax and redistribute.

So we end up being one of the most equal countries in the world.

And that, of course, is the political culture that I also bring here.

— Not the values of the winner-takes-all internet,

as exposed today.

Google "sneakers,"

and the first thing the world's biggest search engine will show you

is results from its own comparison-shopping service.

On average, rival price-comparison sites don't feature until page four.

— What Google has done is illegal under EU antitrust rules.

It has denied other companies the chance to compete on the merits, and to innovate,

and, most importantly,

it has denied European consumers the benefits of competition.

— The risk for Google is that its other services—

maps, restaurants, flight bookings—

will also be subject to an investigation.

The company's considering an appeal.

But then, Vestayer's never been shy of a fight.

— It's a "fuck" finger.

— You met the Google executives in this room?

— Uh, yes.

But that was not only for them, because it's always here.

— Google has phalanxes of economies, and consultants, and lawyers.

Do you think they didn't know they were doing wrong,

or do you think they did know, but they carried on anyway?

— Well, we can see that there was this change in strategy.

We can see what they did,

we can see the result of what they did,

which is also why I don't guess about their motives—

because we find now we have proof of what they did,

and therefore the potential consumer harm.

— Here's the question I wanted to ask you all day.

Every time you do one of these things—

whether it's against Apple in Ireland, or against Google,

there's a huge fuss.

And there's already a fuss building with letters going

back and forth from Washington about this latest ruling.

And there's a huge amount of flack directed to you personally over that.

Why do you do it?

— For me, there's no distinction between what I do in my working life and what I believe in.

And, for me, it makes a difference.

Because if you feel that, when I'm in the marketplace,

I'm not being cheated at,

they haven't decided the prices in the back office,

they have not divided the market between them—

if I feel in control in the market,

then maybe I also feel more comfortable in my society as such.

And that, I think, is what is needed.

— Despite the delay in the Senate's health care vote,

the White House says it still wants to see a bill passed.

— We look forward to hearing what they have on their minds

and figuring out what we can do to finally replace and repeal Obamacare.

— Republican senators rushed to the White House for a closed-door meeting—

an acknowledgement that pulling the vote puts their signature initiative in grave danger.

But it also creates a golden opportunity:

for holdout senators to start selling off their votes.

Alexandra Jaffe explains.

— Back in 2010, Republicans moved to ban earmarks.

Those are things like the infamous "bridge to nowhere" projects—

spending for senators' pet projects

that get slipped into legislation as a way to win votes for a broader bill.

Republicans praised their ban as a big step towards cleaning up Washington:

— House Republicans voted to stop this process this year, on our own…

— But, in practice, it's still pretty easy to get around.

The ban only prohibits attaching earmarks to spending bills—

but adding them to broad policy bills is still allowed.

Right now, there's no better example of this than the scramble over the Senate GOP health care bill.

The reforms in this bill actually give Republicans more savings than the House version of the bill—

about $188 billion in wiggle room, according to the CBO.

Republican leadership is using that money to buy the votes of reluctant senators.

And so you have Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson,

a public opponent of the bill,

working behind the scenes to win more money for Medicaid to treat opioid abuse—

which is a big problem in his state—

or Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, two conservative holdouts on the bill,

potentially getting more money to raise the caps

on health savings accounts in exchange for their votes.

If these funds do make it into the bill,

we probably won't know about it until the vote happens—

and it'll literally be the product of backroom deals.

Republican senators met with President Trump at the White House today,

and with McConnell in the leadership offices at the back of the Capitol to negotiate the bill.

That's why earmarks have been traditionally seen as part of what makes the Washington swamp so slimy.

But if they get enough GOP senators to "yes" on this bill,

it'll prove, once again,

how earmarks make Washington work.

— Right now, the Senate healthcare bill is running perilously low on support.

But even as it falters on the Hill,

there's more than one bronzed businessman standing foursquare behind it:

enter America's besieged…

tanning salon owners.

That's because Obamacare levied a 10 percent tax on tanning salons,

to help pay for the ACA.

— We are done!

— It became known as the "Snooki tax,"

after the pumpkin-hued star of MTV's "Jersey Shore."

— That's it! That's perfect!

— I don't go tanning-tanning anymore,

because Obama put a 10 percent tax on tanning.

And I feel like he did that intentionally for us.

— The IRS estimated the tax would bring in $2.7 billion in revenue by 2019.

It's fallen far short of that,

bringing in just $369 million in its first six years.

If passed,

the Republican bill would dump the tax altogether.

And for a leathery cohort of single-issue voters,

that makes all the difference.

— I am supporting this replacement bill right now.

And I also believe everybody in the tanning industry is supporting this bill,

especially, come to think of it, in the swing states,

where you probably have hundreds of thousands of voters

that I know swap from one party to the next because of this bill.

I feel that the tan tax that was included in the affordable healthcare plan,

specifically that was the catalyst for me switching parties.

I went from voting Democratic to voting Republican.

My extended family, and people around me,

in my circle, all switched.

There was no evaluation—

"Can this industry withstand a 10 percent tax?"

So what ended up happening, it couldn't.

So we ended up closing stores.

They're targeting us, one, because we have a weak lobbying group,

and it's easy to say,

"Okay this is an industry that may or may not be…"

I'm not gonna say healthy,

but the perception has been drawn to be not…

…healthy.

I think President Trump is a fair businessperson

who sees the inequity of the tan tax and the affordable healthcare plan.

— Oh my gosh.

This is cool.

— Mac.

Return of the Mac.

— It's pretty classic songwriting.

That's one of the things,

he obviously is aware of the craft and that's something that I appreciate.

— I feel, uh, delightfully seasick every time I hear his stuff.

Makes me feel like I'm on a boat somewhere with a cocktail in my hand.

— You were quick to take your headphones off.

— Yeah.

That makes me wanna drink more.

— Who is it?

— He's from Sweden.

His name is Jay-Jay Johanson.

— Seems like a nice guy, like…

a guy that you could be best friends with.

— Man, I've been trying as I get older to not trash people.

It's just not something that I would necessarily buy.

— Stop.

— This is cool.

What a funny song.

Can we hear that back?

Yeah, I just wanna hear the chorus one more time.

— Damn, that's Lil Yachty.

— Do you know Lil Yachty? — I've seen that name written down.

— I thought it was gonna be different than that.

— Lil…

Lil Yachty?

— Yeah, Like a yacht.

With a "y."

— A seaman.

— Feel like I could hear 15 seconds of the song,

and guess what the rest is song is going to sound like,

put it down, and probably within about a 90 percent chance be right.

— Who is it?

— Lady Antebellum.

— I thought they were, like, sophisticated country.

— Does UFC have a record label?

— Who is this?

— This is Nickelback.

— They're probably one of the nicest…

— Yeah, they're nice.

— ...group of people I've ever met in my life.

And, uh, that's okay if I'm not…

jivin' with their tunes…

They're good people.

Otis Students Take On Disney Design Challenge | Episode 4 | Disney Style - Duration: 8:48.

[music]

[music]

Welcome back to the Disney Design Challenge: Frozen Fashion finale.

We've been following fashion students at Otis College of Art and Design

as they compete to create a winning collection,

inspired by the world of Frozen and the unique style of Los Angeles.

The prizes for this competition are life-changing.

Not only will the winner receive a scholarship

for their final year of school,

their designs will be brought to life and sold at Nineteenth Amendment.

I will be so excited, like super excited, if I win.

Over this series, the Otis fashion students

have been gathering inspiration for their designs.

They've met with Frozen's art director, Mike Giaimo,

as well as explored the fashion of Los Angeles.

If I won this competition,

I think it would be a life-changing experience

because Disney is providing us such a unique opportunity.

Now our six finalists will present their collection

to our panel of judges.

And then after careful deliberation, the top three winners will be announced

at Otis' end of the year scholarship benefit.

Let's meet our judges.

Shelby Chambers is the Editor of Disney Style,

Amanda Curtis is CEO and CoFounder of 19th Amendment,

Luis Fernandez is Senior Vice President of Creative

at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media,

Heather Laing-Obstbaum

is Vice President of Design and Product Development for Softlines

at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media,

Jill Higashi-Zeleznik

is Chair of Fashion Design at Otis College of Art and Design.

She'll be advising the judges, but not casting a final vote.

One of the things that we're so into at Otis in the fashion department,

is really collaborating with industry

and giving them real world kind of challenges.

These are the types of projects that I'm really--

I love to give the students.

It's time for our students' final presentations.

So I chose Anna, specifically street.

She's daring, she's bold, she's not afraid to speak her mind.

And she's sometimes late,

but that's what makes her really relatable.

And that is why I chose her.

Mike Giaimo came in and he mentioned

that he never used yellow in the film at all,

except for that one part and that flash of yellow is shown.

And then, I was like, "Oh my goodness, yellow is such a big part of my concept."

So I had to problem solve and this is what I came up with.

And I related it back to Anna's original colors.

It made my project much more diverse and it still relates back to the character.

They're both stories.

I like the genius of it.

[laughs]

Not something that like--

obviously you're speaking to the right audience.

I totally agree that that is your strongest.

Thank you so much.

It actually went a lot better than I thought.

I was so nervous.

I'm just glad it's over.

Yay!

My character is Anna Nordic.

For my look, I think it's perfect for the weather in L.A.

because there's layers.

For this dress, if she's going to the beach,

she can just wear a bathing suit underneath.

And then when she's on the beach,

she can just take off the dress and then it could be a cover up,

and then she can enjoy the tanning session.

There's dressy style and then there is also casual style.

The rosemåling was such a big deal

in talking about the costumes of Frozen for us on Disney Style.

The tricky thing is trying to find,

either a brocade or floral print, that feels like the rosemåling,

but doesn't feel old.

You did a great job with that.

Yeah, that was the hardest part for me during the process.

Very nice.

-Thank you. -Nice.

When it began I was really nervous,

but when I started talking I think it went pretty smooth.

And then I think I did a good job.

So for this project, I did a streetwear collection for Kristoff.

He's a little different from the Disney characters.

He's not a perfect figure.

It actually helped me in designing

because I can relate myself to the character in the story better.

So here's my friend, Kristoff.

He's majoring in photography in Otis College of Art and Design.

And he's the mountaineer.

When Mike Giaimo came to us, he put an emphasis on the straight lines,

the vertical and horizontal lines.

So on my samples, I used diagonal and horizontal and vertical lines.

When you end up doing this collection,

you really just transfer from story all the way down to the garments,

which is very successful, very nice.

Thank you.

I feel pretty good about it, but I'm still kind of nervous.

The character from Frozen that I chose is Olaf.

The challenging part was putting colors together

because orange, black and white, it gives like Halloween look.

However, I tried to use like different proportions,

like using orange gives it negative space for his outfit.

The proportion play you did on things,

like sweatshirt over the pants that are more of a plaid

and the shorts,

those were really evocative of Olaf for me.

When you mentioned that he's,

sometimes he gets put back together wrong,

it looks like, you know, that's almost what happened there,

but then it actually ended up looking cool.

I feel very comfortable and confident.

My favorite character is Elsa, that's why I picked her.

She's elegant, graceful and that's why she looks different.

I put this fabric on this jacket and that skirt

because of the weight and also delicate and a more expensive look.

I absolutely just love that middle layering fabric, vertical.

It's just really tasteful, really beautiful.

Thank you.

The presentation went better than I think.

I think it's going well.

I chose this scene for my inspiration.

After Elsa sung "Let It Go" she overcame her shyness

and then this is what I want to design.

I tried to make it like mix and match each other.

Yeah.

What you're giving to the wearer,

it's more than just like an inspired piece,

it's a piece that is empowering them.

Thank you.

Honestly, I forgot some parts for my presentation.

It happens...

So, it's fine.

The judges had their work cut out for them as they tried to decide

who best captured all elements of the challenge in their designs.

So what does everybody think about Jinny's designs?

She's definitely one of my favorite ones of the presentations we had.

She made a really risky choice to interpret Anna that way

and it looked great.

Let's talk about Alice.

She had amazing color.

She had amazing print sensibility.

I loved how she did her collaging patchwork-type fabrication approach.

It felt contemporary,

yet based on the history of the film and the heritage of the film.

What do we think about Ahra?

It's almost like she was able to access the more distraught Elsa

and use her own personal story to kind of bring that out.

I thought it was very strong. I liked it a lot.

Awesome. [laughs]

They all did a very good job.

-They're really, really talented. -Great job.

After the judges' deliberation,

we went from six hopefuls to just three.

It's time to find out who are the top three winners

of the Disney Design Challenge: Frozen Fashion.

[music]

Every year, Otis College of Art and Design

hosts an annual scholarship benefit to celebrate its faculty

and raise money for their students at the end of the semester.

Here, the team at Disney will reveal the winners.

So now the moment we've been waiting for.

I'm going to call out the top three finishers in no particular order.

Jinny Song, Alice Xuan and Minji Park.

[applause]

I'm going to announce the third place finisher first.

Jinny Song.

[applause]

You know, being third place, and being part of the top three,

and having my designs eventually being produced,

I think it's a great thing.

Second place is Minji Park.

[applause]

When I heard my name, I just couldn't believe it.

And first place, Alice Xuan.

[applause]

I was like, "Oh my gosh.

Did I just hear my name?"

because I wasn't expecting to hear my name at all.

This design challenge really helped me be a better designer

by creating a product for a specific customer.

What I learned from this process was,

if I really push myself hard, I can accomplish what I want to accomplish.

Be sure to join us for our special live episode,

where we reveal our three winners' designs,

brought to life and sold at 19th Amendment.

And don't forget to subscribe to Disney Style for more Disney inspiration.

2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE - Will I get one? - Duration: 8:46.

what's up everybody my name is Justin welcome back to my pit lane garage today

I'm going to be bringing you another episode of my garage talk where we're

going to be talking about the 2018 Camaro zl1 with the 1le package we

just celebrated Independence Day here in the states on July 4th a couple days ago

so I thought why not stick to the Murica! theme and bring you a little bit

of classic American Muscle so before we get started I'm going to share just a

quick story about when I was looking for new cars a year or so ago right before I

bought the 2017 Subaru BRZ I was actually shopping Camaros as well that's

what I wanted to get Camaro SS with the 1SS package I was really kind of

interested in getting into a v8 something with power albeit being a

little bit heavier not quite as good of handling but I was interested in making

that change I love the Camaro that I drove the engine was great it sounded

great it got up and moved and overall I really liked the car what I didn't like

is how big and heavy they are I just still could not get over that I love the

BRZ I love Miatas rx-8 small lightweight and agile cars that's just what I'm into

so as we know I did end up with another 2017 Subaru BRZ

so we'll see maybe some point in my life I own a Camaro or something similar but

for now I'm sticking with a small lightweight agile car yeah they're not

as fast they don't get up and smoke tires down the drag strip or anything

like that but there are tons of fun to drive all right so enough about that what

about the new 2018 Camaro zl1 1le now this is a new Camaro the car from what I

am reading has a similar engine to the existing zl1

v8 powered 650 horsepower I believe 650 foot-pounds of torque as well so you

know this car is going to get up and move and put the power down

no doubt about that all right so what sets this thing apart I think if you look at the

outside of the car and it looks amazing I think this thing looks bad to the bone

especially in the white with the black accents you've got lots of aero pieces

going on this is one of the biggest upgrades that you see on the Camaro zl1

1le and you're seeing that in lots of other manufacturers cars as well

especially these high-end track oriented cars aero is becoming such a big deal

the manufacturers are learning the benefits of the arrow and in this Camaro

it is no different so you've got the big front splitter you've got dive planes on

the side of the bumper to provide additional downforce side skirts as well

on the car and a humungous carbon fiber wing you can't have a track oriented car

without a gigantic wings providing downforce and while not aero

specifically it does have a carbon fiber lightweight hood to save even more

weight so what does all this arrow mean it means an additional 300 pounds or

more of downforce when the car is at top speed that is significant because down

force equals grip grip equals faster times all right what else on the

exterior you also have the 19-inch forged wheels they have this eagle f1

super duper car kind of tire on it insane levels of dry grip special tire

from what I am reading is specifically built for the Camaro zl1 with the one le

package alright moving into the good stuff the suspension brakes and chassis

what did they do with the one le to improve those track times so for one you

have new sway bars what I'm reading is they are smaller than the existing zl1

however the rear bar is adjustable three-point adjustments hard medium soft

you have your choice I don't know how many other cars come like this from the

factory with an adjustable sway bar the spring rates to compensate have been

stiffened up a little bit and you have these fancy new multimatic spool valve

shocks that come with the car so not a magnetic ride type system true dampers

that are performance oriented for the track for the spring rates and the sway

bars that come with the car

and with this suspension you

also have the capability to adjust the ride height of the car as well as the

front camber which can come in pretty handy because most cars from the factory

have zero camber adjustability this car at least has a little bit what I'm

reading is up to negative 1.5 degrees of camber in the front of the car so what

else in the chassis I'm also reading that they've gotten rid of rubber

subframe mounts in favor of more rigid or solid mounts I've done similar things

on my brz here on the rear subframe stiffen up the chassis feel chevrolet

did this from the factory on the new camaro so that is a plus and improves

chassis feedback power delivery and the overall feel and balance of the car oh

and you also have massive front and rear brakes nothing crazy fancy like a carbon

ceramic option you might find on other performance cars BMW m3's or m4's as an

option for example standard steel brake rotors but very large brake rotors and

brake calipers now moving on to the interior it doesn't change much from

what I am reading compared to the existing zl1 you still have all of the

creature comforts that would normally come in the car although it does look

like there is a plethora of Alcantara or suede or some kind of fabric like that

throughout the car or the seat bolsters the steering wheel in the dash area

places like that and again you only have a manual transmission as an option for

the car now downside of course with keeping all of these creature comforts

and as big as the car is already this thing comes in at over 3,800 pounds if I

am reading correctly that is a heavy heavy car now that doesn't mean it can't

perform obviously BMW with their M cars have done it for years they still feel

like they feel agile they feel like a small car when you're driving it I

imagine the new Camaro zl1 when le feels similar in that regard in that you don't

necessarily feel the big weight when you're behind the wheel it feels lighter

and it feels more agile than it looks or that it weighs alright so all this

performance sounds great but what does it really mean this car is meant to be a

track driven car if it can't perform on the track then what the heck is all of

this stuff right so some of you might have seen in

recent weeks that this car laps at the Nurburgring in 7 minutes and 16 seconds

if you didn't know that is pretty dang fast I'll tell you some of the cars that

the Camaro zl1 1le is faster than around the Nurburgring it's faster than a

Lamborghini LP 570 it's faster than one of its archrival the ford shelby gt350r

which is an amazing car in its own right it's faster than a Porsche 911 gt2 it's

also faster than a McLaren 650s spider is faster than a Koenigsegg CCX is

faster than a lot of fast cars around the Nurburgring so that is good news for

the Camaro zl1 1le all right so what is the latest and greatest Camaro track

monster going to cost you going to run you about seventy thousand dollars for

one of these new 2018 Camaro zl1 with the one le package so that is BMW m3 m4

Territory which by the way the m4 lapped the Nurburgring faster then the Camaro

zl1 1le but that's neither here nor there so while that is a pretty

expensive car at least from my point of view is pretty reasonable considering

other cars in its territory cars that it is faster than on the Nurburgring at

least so it's hard to complain about that price tag because of what you are

getting for the money now will I ever get one of these cars not anytime soon

they are somewhat limited production I believe I read about 800 to a thousand

cars will be made please correct me if I am wrong on that note I don't think you

can go wrong with this car at least on paper and what we have seen so far all

alright everybody we're going to wrap this one up it's hot as heck in my garage

here wanted to get this video out to you guys and let me know what you think you

think that the american manufacturers have finally kind of turned that page

and re-oriented their cars towards high performing track car versus straight

line and drag cars which i think is kind of the stereotype at least for american

muscle cars to me it certainly looks that way we've got the Ford GT 350R

we've got this new Camaro they're leaning towards track performance which

to me is a good thing I love that stuff obviously and it's good to

see the manufacturers going in that direction thanks again everybody for

watching I hope you enjoyed this episode of garage talk again leave your comments

Raspberry Rose Truffles & Printable Favour Boxes | Country Hill Cottage - Duration: 3:02.

Our raspberries rose truffles are extremely easy to make, and taste creamy, rich and outrageously

delicious!

You barely need more than white chocolate, freeze-dried raspberries and rosewater to

whip up these tempting treats.

Of course, we created printable gift boxes, which you download at our blog, so you can

give the truffles to friends and family or as wedding and party favours.

Also check out the lovely raspberry and blueberry cake Susan from Susan's Easy Recipes has

made for our raspberry and rose inspired collaboration, the links are below the video.

Please subscribe for more tutorials, and turn on notifications so you don't miss our latest

videos.

We recommend using good-quality white chocolate.

See our tips below the video if you prefer to use milk or dark chocolate.

Using a food processor or blender, pulse the freeze-dried raspberries into fine crumbs.

Add the chocolate, cream and butter into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave

set to medium-high in 30-second intervals until the chocolate has completely melted.

Stir between each interval until perfectly combined.

Add the ground raspberries and rosewater, and whisk until well blended but avoid adding

to much air into the mix.

Cover with cling film and make sure to place the cling film right on the surface.

Allow to come to room temperature before putting the mixture into the refrigerator to firm

up for 4 to 6 hours or overnight.

Use a cookie or small ice cream scoop to form balls of truffle mixture.

Set them on a plate lined with cling film and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to

an hour.

Add a little icing sugar to the truffles and carefully roll the truffles between the palms

of your hands until they're evenly coated.

Store the truffles in the fridge to a week, or freeze uncoated truffles for up to a month.

Many thanks for watching!

Jeep Wrangler Mopar 4-Way Flat Trailer Hitch Wiring Harness (2007-2017 JK) Review - Duration: 3:01.

I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com and this is my review and installation of the Mopar

4-way flat trailer hitch wiring harness fitting all 2007 and up JKs.

Today we're going to talk through the installation of this wiring harness which is a very simple

one out of three wrench installation, very easy to install in under a half an hour.

If you bought your JK without a tow rated hitch on it but have since added one, of course

you're going to need a wiring harness as well if you're going to be towing a trailer with

lights on it.

This is going to be a really nice wiring harness, however there are also some other wiring harnesses

that aren't made by Mopar that are going to be less expensive simply because they don't

come out of a Mopar box.

If you're somebody who really likes all of your add on parts to be Mopar, you like everything

to be of the same brand, and you're willing to pay a little bit more money, this is going

to work just fine for you.

However, if you're not interested in the brand name, if you just want something that works

and you want something that's a little bit less expensive, there are some other versions

out there such as the Rugged Ridge version of this plug and play wiring harness.

Chances are your JK is not going to be a dedicated tow rig, so you're not going to be pulling

anything that has trailer brakes, auxiliary or reverse lights built into it, so a traditional

four panel wiring harness like this is going to be just fine.

You're going to have your tail, your turn and your stop as well as your ground going

to your trailer, and it's just going to work.

As far as the installation goes, this is a one out of three wrench install that shouldn't

take you more than a half hour to complete.

All you'll need to do is remove the two inner screws from your driver's side tail light,

pulling the tail light away from the body and unplugging it.

You'll plug one end of your trailer wiring harness into the harness side, the other end

into the light side, and tuck the rest of this wire down on the inside corner of your

tub.

Then, you can replace your tail light using those factory screws.

From the bottom side you'll grab the rest of your wiring harness, run it along your

frame underneath the frame rail, and clip it into or at least near your receiver hitch,

and you're finished.

Other than that screwdriver, you're not going to need any specialty tools.

This is a very easy install.

This harness here comes in right around $45, and you can get some other brands that are

very, very similar for right around $30.

Again, you are going to pay a bit of a premium because this says Mopar on the box.

If you like the fact that this is Mopar, if you want to stick everything with the same

brand, and you're willing to spend a little bit more, there's nothing wrong with this

harness.

It's going to work just fine for you.

If your Jeep didn't come with a tow rated receiver from the factory, you've since added

one and you want to be able to move a small trailer with lights, you're going to need

a wiring harness.

Something like this is going to be very easy to install even if this one is a little bit

more expensive than some of the other versions because it is Mopar.

That's my review of the Mopar 4-way flat trailer hitch wiring harness fitting all 2007 and

up JKs that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.

Thunder Show: Take two - Duration: 6:23.

In this episode: Rolls-Royce's shield Guns are for the weak Ricochet of the century Take two

Welcome to Thunder Show!

Sometimes, when in combat, you end up in a situation, where you have no way to destroy the enemy,

without taking a hit yourself. Today we have just such a case. Our hero is caught in irons.

He's got an enemy Panther waiting just around the hill for the premium ATGM-carrier

to come out for a free potshot. What do you do, then? Try to flank?

That would take too long and it might not work. You can wait for your allies to come help,

but he's got allies too. Attack head on - too dangerous! Waaaaait a minute!

In Arcade battles you have some mobility, even if your engine is out.

Let's turn this vehicle around and tank with your rear! Not the rear you might think of,

but the rear of the tank, where the engine and stuff is! Wow, that's a fire!

No problem, since we got an opening for at least one shot, which is precisely what was need to win!

The enemy Panther is promptly sent back to its hangar, while we can safely put out the fire,

repair the damage and enter the fray again!

Arcamenal M, that's a nice trick! Here, catch your prize!

The second hero of this week is a Panzer IV, which has it bad early in the video.

the enemy broke his gun, the smoke failed to conceal. But all that is just fuss, the distance is minimal,

so the Panzer fires his MG at the enemy Sherman and actually damages the breech of his cannon!

This proves fatal for the American tank very soon! As he tries to fire, the shell explodes inside the turret

and scores a frag for the practically unarmed German tank! Wow, what a fail indeed.

Thanks, Yuudachi_is_love, your video just earned you 5000 Golden Eagles, congratulations!

The most epic shot of this week was made by a Challenger.

I mean hey, he lost the fight versus the T-34, what's so epic here?

Well, the shot bounced off one enemy tank,

went over it and TOOK OUT AN ENEMY AIRCRAFT much farther away!

Just look! Here the shot hits the 34, bounces off and the camera follows it suit.

The tracer to the left is from machine gun fire, just saying.

Ok, so here it the shot; we once more see the tracer coming off

it and now we can see the victim being completely unawares of what's to come.

Then the shot slams into the wing, the poor pilot is going down! That's an outstanding ricochet, good job!

artur2124, just don't tell me you had it planned all along, we won't believe you anyway.

But, we'll give you a well-earned prize for the sheer luck!

This week we have not one, but TWO fail videos! Yes, yes, you heard it right.

You see, both of these videos show the exact same moment in the very same battle,

but they were sent by two different players and naturally,

show the whole affair from two different perspectives.

They both submitted their videos to our fail category,

so, we just couldn't pass up this opportunity and show you what happened. Enjoy!

Gumios and DressedWings, you helped us look at the same fail situation from two angels at once!

You guys get to split 5000 Golden Eagles, getting half of the prize each! Thanks!

Now it's time for the best comment of the past week:

Lichachron says: "Such a marvelous sight. Witness the majestic migration of the wild bombs."

This comment has just earned its author 1,000 Golden Eagles!

Please, respond to your original comment with your in-game nickname and email address,

so we can send you your prize!

Please, be advised that the prize eagles may take up to five business days to be added to your in-game account.

Thank you for watching Thunder Show!

Ok, let's recap the three simple steps on how to submit your video to Thunder Show:

STEP 1. Record and put together a video up to 3 minutes long,

which corresponds to one of the four categories mentioned earlier.

ATTENTION: The submitted video must be made by you, must be published for the first time,

must have public access for viewers and must not violate any copyright laws.

STEP 2. Subscribe to our Youtube channel and hit the like button below this video.

STEP 3. Upload your video to Youtube and send us a direct link to thundershow@gaijin.ru

The covering email should contain the desired category for your video, your in-game nickname

and the email address registered with your game account,

so we can send you the reward should your submission win!

Every week, each winner in every category of the show will get 5,000 Golden Eagles!

We will also be awarding the best comment of the week. So, get your creative juices flowing,

make some content, send it to us, or simply watch and comment,

either way - we've got plenty freebies to go around! Good luck and see you in a week!

mh I maybe should have bought more of those potions..

well whatever.

mh?

nice!

oh wow

well so now we got 5?

I mean if you count in the machines

over there seems to be something. probably robots.

well let's go to every marked point on the map. I think those guys..

I knew it they block all my attacks.

but this guy doesn't

woops

woah

oh well he was dead already.

it seems to continue over there, not sure though. but there is a path.

yup over there is some orange glowing mark. we definitively have to go there.

huh?

well let's save again real quick

alright

what's that? there's a shop sign so...

a salesman

but he don't wanna sell me anything.

woah what's that?

are there a bunch of those big guys?

there should be.. wow what the fuck is that? a trash can?

alright ok

let's go this way.

right here should be alot of enemys.

oh

if that's no boss in that corner..

do we have 4 people now?

I'm not sure. well whatever.

it's ok-

it's fine when we have 1 partner, these reseracted guys aren't fast enough to follow us anyways.

who's that?

that's nobody, it's a fence.

alright ok

mh? there should be enemys right on this area.

goddamn.

my partner (the reseracted one) tries to get up here but he can't

oh there are acctually alot of enemys

he stucks over there xD

huh?

ok I can't get on this stone...

I can stand on it a short amount of time. But then I get "bugged" down from it.

can I get into 1 of these pipes? nope.

maybe this way.

or not.

oh, maybe...

ha! I made it.

noooooo

oh fuck-

I swear.. all of them got a driftbleam ability.

so if they get killed they do a final punch.

and they are dealing half life with that...

huh? where is he?

oh over there.

doesn't the story continue somewhere in here?

it should do..

maybe just going around here. there should be an enemy.
