Hey y'all, UncaBilly here again! Hey y'all. first I want to say that if you
subscribe to me I will take the time to view your channel and if you are
building the channel, also I will subscribe back. this is a promise from
UncaBilly. a person who gets too full of himself or too busy that he cannot
check someone out and subscribe back is not someone that you need to be
subscribing to. that's my feelings on the subject. none of us are too good. if we
are, then we're in the wrong place. okay, for today's tips: 9 things new youtubers
should be cautious of. and I'm speaking of YouTube partners. number one, don't use
copyrighted material. make sure that what you put out there is your work. many
youtubers have used copyrighted material and then woke up one morning to find
their videos were gone, and then there was Uncle Billy's story: it's quick! I
have always loved to sing so I actually recorded some songs for
youtube that was utilizing karaoke music put out there by other people. I mean why
would anyone put karaoke music out there if it wasn't meant to be used as
background music for someone to sing with right? so I did.
unfortunately, apparently I had the wrong idea. I got several copyright strikes
that I was luckily able to resolve by splitting my income earned with others
who claimed copyright infringement. of course, it's a racket, but it pays to
check copyright before using something that isn't yours
in spite of what it appears it should be. number two, don't forget to backup your
videos I am adding links for some experts on how to backup your videos. just look for
the upside-down exclamation mark at the top right hand of the page and you will
find some help regarding how to do that. excuse me I got a frog in my throat here
we never know what YouTube may do to make those videos disappear
unsuspectedly. number three, don't make intros too long nor should they be too
loud some of that music is terrible in there and it's so loud that you can't hear
what's going on. both of these things irritate a lot of viewers and they'll
just go to the next channel. number four, don't try to fool viewers. make certain
your titles and thumbnails are about the same thing your content is about. you may
end up losing subscribers or viewers by doing this. number five, try to get to the
point of your video as soon as you possibly can. number six, try to make it
so that you'll appear to be looking at the lens of the camera instead of away from
it. I used to be told quite a bit that I appeared to be reading a script. some
people were nice about it and asked me if I was reading a script instead of
telling me I looked like I was, but at the same point, I got the message. I
haven't heard that in a while, so I hope that means it appears I am making better
eye contact now. it is kind of difficult at times. number seven, don't spam in the
comment sections by adding links to your comments. most people are unhappy with
that and you will probably get your comments deleted.
you can go to the channel managers 'about' section; that's aboUT and send him or
her a email if you really want to get in touch with them.
number eight, try not to have a cluttered background in your videos if possible.
something interesting is great! I use a green screen technique in mine when I
can. this way, I can make the background anything I want it to be. if you want to
know more about this, ask me in the comment section. number nine, never buy
fake viewers and subscribers. it will just mess things up in your analytics
and you won't be looking to it for very long. instead, try to write decent content
and get them the old-fashioned way; by earning them. believe me, brother, that's
what I'm doing and it ain't easy. but you just got to keep doing it. I would like
