so today! tadaa I've got 'Muroto' cities most famous foods from in the Kochi prefecture

just check this out will ya its still alive

I've been given all these goods featuring all the best that Muroto has to offer

Muroto has been designated a Unesco site since it contains a very diverse biome of marine and land life

with a population of 130k people its blessed with great mineral waters leading to many yummy foods

and so lets try out the first of their yummy foods 'Taimo' potato

this would taste great in some broth next up is skipjack

they are individually dried/roasted in straw it gives such yummy flavor to the surface of the skipjack

they're so lively right now

3rd tuna and onion

4th tuna... I wanna try it out with the tuna and onion as well

with both of these we can make a tuna bowl featuring 3 different types of tuna

5th this 'ise ebi' lobster they've been moving about for a while

these guys are so lively and they'll be so plump and yummy

lying on a common typhoon route apparently it churns up food for these guys making them taste better

6th is this satsuma yam this city is known for their satsuma yams as well

these are supposed to be extra moist 7th .... these mineral waters

featuring high mineral counts in their waters

8th I haven't laid it out on the table just yet

tadaa this is freaking amazing its golden eye snapper 'shabushabu' hot pot

they are situated on unique waters and these snapper can be caught only 2 km off their coastlines

allowing their fishing fleets to readily catch them and return to port and process them so quickly

I can't wait to try them out in a hot pot we will be trying out skipjack 'tataki'

pork broth soup featuring 'taimo' potato/yams

tuna bowls and goldeneye snapper hot pot

lets use these taimo yam/potato to make some pork broth soup

for ingredients we have burdock daikon carrot and sliced pork

start with cooking the pork for a bit

and the veggies that have been cut into big bits

add some dashi stock

this is some of muroto's salt

ginger

and now I'll use some miso that was made in the same region as well

tadaa its all done all food that was made with ingredients originating in muroto

golden eye shabushabu hot pot pork broth soup we just made

tuna 'tataki' a tuna bowl made of an assortment of tuna from muroto

it gets white so quickly

its a sashimi but the surface cooks slightly making it so yummy

it still had some life left in it

the golden eye snapper will be so yummy

its so fatty and delish

all the tuna that was in this tuna bowl were so yummy

and I'll be accompanying todays food with their mineral water

its used quite a lot in cooking as well

it seems to go well with food it might just be me that thinks that though

skipjack 'tataki'

maybe its because it was grilled over a straw fire its so full of flavor

pork broth using their taimo yams

but its a bit far from me so I'll skip that and eat this stuff instead

this goldeneye snapper is so sweet and fatty... its got a nice mouthfeel that is so yummy

the potato is so tender and yummy

the satsuma yam has almost melted away in it

it gives the broth both a sweetness and thickens it

the potato melts in your mouth

I just realized the snapper is looking at me... its kinda freaking me out

you were very yummy though

its so nice being able to eat a meal like this made from all the best a region has to offer

gochisosamadeshita anything and everything was so yummy

its so nice to be able to have such yummy things from the oceans and the land

and you can easily get all this from one place

they aggregate all the best foods from various places

you've all gotta try out this stuff and support the local growers

I've tried out quite a lot just in one meal

its so nice to be able to support them and be able to eat such yummy food at the same time

Volvo Trucks - Designing Vera and the future of transportation - Duration: 3:14.

A good design needs to fulfil its purpose,

and it should be obvious how you are going to use it.

The other aspect is the emotional side of it.

It appeals to you and you really like it.

It takes a lot of great minds to come up with something like Vera.

The first question that we asked ourselves

was who do we actually design this vehicle for

when there is no cab and no driver in the picture any more?

What we figured out was there will still be human interaction around

and we are actually designing for a greater context which is society.

So Vera will work with people and for people.

When you are working with an idea that's never been done,

it's always scary in the beginning.

Vera is a very high-tech product,

but what does all this technology mean to the people out on the street?

One strength that designers have is to give the technology a meaning, a story.

We don't do the technology for its technological sake.

Having that in mind, we really try to integrate all this fine technology

into the design of the vehicle.

The dark parts represent the technical side of Vera,

and it starts with the brain over here.

This is where the intelligence lies.

This area is the most important part on the vehicle,

therefore we decided to put the iron mark and the slash on top of it.

The light surfaces represent the human side of the vehicle.

We kept it rather soft and simple so it feels approachable

and not too heavy on the road.

Look at the headlamps over here.

We came up with this great idea of combining the graphics with the light

so the light appears to shine through the body

and create these iconic V lights.

The side surfaces, we kept it rather simple and soft,

but we've used some scallops to highlight the backbone.

This surface continues to the front and creates these fenders.

It appears like a shoulder and gives some confidence to the vehicle.

It gives us that trust feeling that it's able to pull those tons behind it.

The rear end of Vera is very iconic.

We wanted to create something recognisable instantly.

The biggest challenge is to work on an idea that's never been done before.

You know that what you're going to create will be the first one

and will be looked at.

I've seen so many people taking selfies with Vera.

To me, that means that we actually managed to give her a soul.

It just feels that they acknowledge Vera almost as a person.

Hey good morning. It's Dr. James. I hope you're off to a beautiful start today. It's

so good to see you. Thank you for your time and thank you for your energy. And

today I want to ask you a simple question that I believe is gonna ask of

you to give a difficult answer... simple question with a difficult answer. What

story do you tell yourself most often in your life? Now this is as much a

spiritual as it is emotional and I believe a very neurochemical question

because what happens so often in life is that we fall prey to what neural

chemistry is always working towards the default button the way that we can

actually learn a story early in our life and it literally just

settles into our brain it settles into our mind it settles in to the crevices

of what becomes us and we literally by default or by design it doesn't really

matter it's just a switch that we can literally fall into and that story could

be I'm not enough I'm not smart enough I'm not good-looking enough I'm not

popular enough in these stories that we learn early in our life become the story

of our life and the history that we allow ourselves to drag around every day

of our life it's like it's like nine pieces of American Tourister luggage but

eight of these pieces don't even belong to you anymore but because of neuro

chemistry and because of how it is that we're wired early on in our life to

begin a story and then tell it to ourselves every single day because we're

not giving ourselves permission to emancipate ourselves from that story by

giving ourselves permission to keep a higher watch and how do we do this the

way that neural chemistry works is fascinating it's really empowering if

we're willing to be courageous enough to identify the old stories like this

morning you wake up you go you know what I'm brushing my teeth at I go man ah

who's the old person who rented my face what's up with these lines what's up

with what's up with this this anxiety I'm waking up with it I don't even know

why I'm feeling anxious why am I you know there may be reasons for all

these things but so often in life it's just a reflex and that reflex becomes us

but here's the way to actually remove a eight pieces of that American Tourister

luggage that when you go through it you go I'm unpacking all this stuff and

that's not who I am anymore and man I can't believe I'm still allowing that

what a teacher said to me or a parent said to me or friends said to me 35 40

years ago and I'm still carrying it around with me allowing it to be a part

of my image what do identify with keeping the high

watch simply means that you change your neuro chemistry by identifying thoughts

beliefs worn out patterns that you do not identify with it or not the truth of

who you are and you literally bring them up when you compassionately say you know

what is this the truth anymore is this really what is what's going on in my

life today or is this an outdated outmoded belief system that absolutely

is not the truth of Who I am today or who I don't want to be anymore

and that's the beautiful thing once we question it with compassion once we

don't run away from it because we don't ever may it stays there but if we move

into it with some love a courageous level of compassion and presents studies

show we can unpack it we can unravel it and we can remove it from our

consciousness and as we're doing that with compassion and courage we're

inserting a brand new belief about wow I can change anything Wow I can grow

beyond this well I can actually create a life that I love and occupy a space of

grace that's full of peace and positivity and possibility what story do

you know today that you want to write a sequel to that you literally want to

overcome it with a level of new new storytelling that really is the truth of

who you are tell a story of being a hero tell a story of your unreasonable and

uncommon courage in your willingness to stand in a space of grace and occupy

with the level of love for yourself that rewrites everything

and allows you to be everything that you came here to be we've got stories but

let's give ourselves permission to look at him in a brand new way and create

something that we're proud of every single day much love many blessings have
