After you enter the museum there is a little machine where you put your parking card in and you get a discount
We were approximately two hours in the museum.
On the day we arrived there was a cosplay event
There are so many different kind of ramen in Japan
The father of the ramen is the Chinese noodle dishes and
The mother is the Japanese food culture
so ramen is
basically a soup with Chinese style wheat noodles and various ingredients.
So the broth is either pork, fish, chicken or vegetable.
Vegetable in recent years seems to be the latest trend
Because of the vegetarians or vegans
Vegan tourism in Japan. I, for myself, only know about pork and chicken
Even the fish ramen. I have never tried
So you have the broth the next is you can choose basically between three seasoning either
salt
Mizzu or
soya based
and
in the ramen museum they have
Besides here, as you can see - Tonkotsu
But Tonkatsu I always thought it's the tonkatsu like the fried pork, you put on top but no.
It's based on how they make the broth. It's basically made of pork bones
So it comes back to the base
Just made of pork or just the bones you make the broth off and then the next is the toppings
In general I have spring onions
katsubushi (bonito flakes) which is made of dried bonito fish some ginger and
Menma, is basically bamboo. Than seaweed, Chashu meat and an egg
This is basically how they make the ramen. In every region in Japan they have their own speciality of ramen
So let's go back to the ramen museum
The ramen museum has three floors and at the entrance you will find a wall
describing the history of ramen
This is the souvenir shop and I found it very interesting I bought a few things
for my boys as Christmas gift just small things because
We already sent some cash to the honeys
In the Hokkaido region, you will find a lot of different kind of ramen and
I will list here. Only three. This is Sapporo Miso Ramen.
The next one is Hakodate Shio or salt Rame.
The third one is Muroran Curry Ramen. Which is sweet and spicy.
The next region is Chūbu.
There's a very famous Ramen from Nagoya Taiwan ramen, which is named after the chef
Who is from Taiwan but it's not original from Taiwan.
This is spicy or little spicy some say they are very spicy
I assume the broth is made from pork, but I'm not really sure about it because I couldn't find anything
Toppings is Minced Pork, Nira, Bean Sprouts, Leak and Doubanjiang or Toban and Garlic
Tobin is very spicy.
Next is the Kansai region
I found in Wakayama the Wakayama Ramen. The broth is made of pork. It's Tonkotsu
So just from the bones and Shoyu (soja)
Then we have the Chūgoku Region. There is the Onomichi Ramen. Which is a little bit fatty.
The broth is done from Seafood, pork and chicken. The seasoning is soy sauce
They have as topping roasted pork, beni shoga (red ginger), spring onion and bean sprout.
Then comes the Kyushu Region.
I feel they have a lot of different kind of Ramen
Here I introduce only three. This is the Hakata Rame. Which is done is basically
tonkotsu, roasted pork as topping, garlic sesame and beni shoga.
Then we have Kitakata Ramen. Again is tonkotsu
But in this case pork, chicken, fish and shell, so Wow.
Then we have Kurume Ramen. This is again tonkotsu
from pork. As topping we have bamboo sprout, seaweed, egg, spring onion and roasted pork.
Then there is Okinawa Soba Ramen.
The noodles are more like Udon noodles and the broth is pork and fish
Seasoning is Shoyu or Soya Sauce. Topping s is katsubushi or bonito fish flakes, kelp, pork rib and pick trotters.
Of course there is more Ramen.
But I want to stop here and just mention this Kagoshima Ramen from Kyushu
Tsukemen
Hiyashi Ramen and Nagasaki Champon and Sanratanmen.
The best thing what you can do if you are not vegetarian or vegan or anything you can eat whatever you want
Then just ask what is the speciality of this region or the shop!

and strongest meteor shower of the year according to NASA.

sky, peaking about 7:30 a.m. ET, predicts Sky & Telescope.

The Geminids are a meteor shower caused by the object 3200 Phaethon, which is thought
to be a Palladian asteroid with a "rock comet" orbit.
This would make the Geminids, together with the Quadrantids, the only major meteor showers
not originating from a comet.
Today's slideshow Doodle1 follows the Geminids' path through Earth's atmosphere as it lights
up the sky.
As Phaethon's orbit leads it near the sun, the extreme heat causes it to fracture and
leaves a trail of debris in its orbital path.
Every December, Earth's orbit leads us through the trail of 3200 Phaethon and its debris
crashes into our atmosphere at 79,000 miles (127,000 km) per hour.
Once through the Earth's atmosphere, the Geminids' radiant (or where it appears to
originate) is the constellation Gemini—from which the meteor shower gets its name.
Named after the ancient Greek god Apollo's son, 3200 Phaethon is an asteroid whose orbit
brings it closer to our sun than Mercury.
First discovered via satellite data 35 years ago, Phaethon is responsible for bringing
the spectacular Geminid meteor showers to Earth's atmosphere each December.
With each passing year since the mid-1800s, the proliferation of yellowish streaks of
light in the night-time sky have grown more intense.
The so-called "rock comet" came within 6.4 million miles of earth this past December,
although last year's supermoon made it harder to appreciate the celestial light show.
That won't be a factor this year.
If the weather is clear, 2018 should be the best year ever to watch the Gemenides—so
named because they seem to originate from the constellation Gemini.
No need for a telescope or binoculars: fragments from Phaethon's debris trail should become
visible after 9 pm on December 13, peaking after midnight with as many as 120 meteors
per hour.
The cosmic dust may have resulted from a crash with another flying object, but there's
little danger of any Geminids landing on earth as it normally disintegrates in the earth's
atmosphere.
For optimal viewing conditions, get as far away from city lights as possible, face South,
and remember to dress warmly as you enjoy one of the greatest shows on or above earth.
This phenomenon was first recorded in 1862 and causes a show each December.
