We read a category from the card, then we count to three

When we say the same thing, it is a jinx.

-Okay. -We want jinx.

So first, let's put on our gloves.

-Oh, look, it's labeled.

Will you only wear your glove and not mine?

Lenny Kravitz Went to High School with Gina Gershon, Nicolas Cage and Slash - Duration: 4:19.

-Last time you were here

we talked about your upbringing.

You went to high school with Slash from Guns N' Roses.

After you left,

we realized you also went to high school with Nic Cage.

-I did. -That is really impressive.

Did you know each other at all? -We did.

At that time he was Nic Coppola.

-Right. -Nicolas Coppola.

And there was a production of "Oklahoma"

and he was playing the lead male character.

And I was in the pit playing drums.

So I was the drummer in the orchestra.

And also, Gina Gershon...

-Oh, wow. Another wonderful actress.

-...was in the play as well, playing opposite Nic.

-And, you know, obviously,

I think when we're all in high school,

the people that are the theater stars,

you think they're wonderful.

Obviously, you were in a unique position

where they actually were.

Could you tell in high school?

Were you watching them thinking like,

"Oh, they're gonna be famous?"

-Um...I had no idea. -Yeah.

-I had no idea.

We're all just doing what we do.

And it's amazing when I see them now.

It's like, "Wow, we did all right."

-You all did all right. -Yeah, yeah.

-They have other people wash their jeans for them,

but that's fine. It's not a contest.

[ Laughter ]

I want to ask this.

You know, when you say --

I think when I sit here and I say,

"Oh, you went to high school with all these people,"

they might think, "Oh, my God, this must have been --

you must have had everything you could have wanted

to be at a high school --" but you also had hard jobs.

-I left home when I was 15.

-Right. -Yeah.

-But you had a job in high school gutting fish?

-Yes, I did. -So where --

-I worked at a place on Washington and Rimpau.

And it was called, Leroy's Fish Market.

And it was one of those, you know --

hood, "you buy, we fry" fish joints.

So yeah, the fish would be behind the glass counter,

and somebody would come in and say,

"I'll have two pounds of this, five pounds of that."

I'd have to then scale it, cut it,

gut it, clean it, and fry it.

-Wow. -And at the time I used to fry

mayor Tom Bradley's fish, cause he would come in.

Does anyone remember Tom Bradley?

[ Laughter ]

Okay, there's an airport named after him.

Um, uh...

Or a terminal at least. -Yeah, yeah.

I think it's a terminal, you're right.

-Yeah, he used to come in on Fridays and get his fish.

I had that job for about a year.

So it seems like tonight's whole theme is about how much I smell.

-I know, I feel bad. I feel bad.

As you were talking I realized, "Oh, we've found a theme."

-I smelled for a year and my mother taught me this trick.

She said, "Baby, go home and bathe with lemons."

So I would have all of these lemons at the end of the day

that I'd go get and I'd cut them

and I'd get in the shower and I'd scrub with lemons.

And I'd still stink. -Yeah.

I worked at a sub shop

and I just remember being around onions.

That was enough.

So I can only imagine what it was like cutting a fish.

-You came home covered in fish guts and --.

-Yeah, that's not a -- -But it was a great job.

And I got to know people really well.

It was one of those jobs where

I got to learn so much about people.

-And you -- I feel like you've lived in some of the places

that are best in the world for getting to know

not just people, but uh, exceptional people.

You were in New York and you lived across the street

when you were a kid -- across the street from Joe Namath?

-I did.

I used to play catch with Joe Namath.

-Where in New York -- Where would you play catch?

-I lived at 5 East 82nd Street.

He lived at 3 East 82nd street.

And so I could see into his apartment.

And, in fact, I didn't --

which was -- in the '70s, Joe Namath was the man, right?

-I think it's the apartment most people would have liked

to be able to see into.

-Yeah, so I actually met him again

several years ago doing The David Letterman Show.

And I said, "By the way, you probably don't know who I am."

He's like, "Yeah, I know you." I said, "No, no.

But I was the little kid that lived across the street

that you used to play catch with."

And I said, "I used to look inside of your apartment."

And he kind of wasn't sure, and I started telling him

about the things I saw in the apartment

and the furnishings, and he was like, "Oh, you did."

[ Laughter ]

Yeah. And um...

So yeah, I got to grow up playing catch with Joe Namath.

-Well, that's not a -- not a bad situation.

-I had a very strange childhood. -You have, yeah.

I would say every part of your life

has been very interesting, and that's why it's always

lovely to have you here. Thank you so much.

-It's so good to see you. [ Cheers and applause ]

-Hello. -They're in agreement.

-Wow. Thank you. Thank you. -Congratulations on the album.

It must be so nice to finish something like that.

-You know, as they can tell you, I mean, music is so magical.

And it's beautiful when you're doing something creative

and you step out of the way

and you allow the creative spirit

to do what it wants to do.

And that's what happened in the case of this record.

I'm always free and I always do what comes through me,

but the magic of this album was that I dreamt the entire album,

so it was all a download.

-Now, did it help that --

You did this album in the Bahamas in a very small town.

-Yes. 400, 500 people. -And did that help?

Do you think you could dream an album

if you were somewhere like Los Angeles or New York or is it too noisy?

-It could happen.

-Right. -Different dreams.

[ Laughter ]

The wonderful thing about -- That was funny?

The wonderful thing about being in nature

and for that length of time,

when you're there for months and months,

is that you slow down, your heart rate comes down,

your nervous system comes down.

And you begin to hear yourself.

Everything gets really quiet.

I say that the quiet gets very loud.

It becomes very loud.

And I was waking up

between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.,

hearing these songs in my head.

And I would then run to the studio,

and I would start cutting them

and just transcribing what I heard in my head.

You know, and that was it.

-When you're in a small town of 500 people like that,

are people excited, are your neighbors excited

that Lenny Kravitz is there working on an album?

-No. -Okay.

-They find it f--

They know that I do this thing over in this world over here,

but they don't care and they're not impressed.

And they think it's funny

when fans come looking for me, because they'll say,

"We're looking for Lenny Kravitz.

Where can we find him?"

They say, "Lenny? You're looking for Lenny?

The guy that, like, doesn't bathe

and wears the same clothes for a month and has no shoes?"

"Yeah, that guy."

I took Mick Jagger to my town once,

and I took him to a friend's house.

We sat down. The guy offered us something to drink.

And he looks at Mick, and he goes,

"Yeah, so, uh, what do you do?"

-Oh, boy. [ Laughs ] That kind of town.

-"I play music." "What kind?"

"Rock 'n' roll."

"Uh, great. Want a beer?"

So it's that kind of place. It's very mellow.

-That must be refreshing.

You mentioned that you don't bathe a lot when you're there,

but I have heard

that you wash your own clothes when you're there?

-I do wash my own clothes. -What is your process?

-Okay, I was just there for a month.

And I'll be quite honest with you.

I get into this thing, because when you're on tour

and you're doing all this stuff, you change clothes every night.

You can't wear the same suit. You have to always change.

I get there, and I'm like,

"Screw it. I'm not changing clothes.

I don't want to change clothes."

I wore the same jeans and jean shirt for 30 days.

[ Laughter ]

You like me now?

And when it gets to the point

where I can't stand myself... -Yeah.

-...I get out a hose

and I get my bottle of Dr. Bronner's soap,

which I use in the shower or in the clothes and whatever.

And I wash them, wring them out, throw them on a rock,

let them dry for an hour,

put them back on, go another 30 days.

-Wow. That's very impressive. You're mentioning denim.

I did want to bring this up anyway.

There was a photo of you I guess from last year

of a very large scarf around your neck

that drew a lot of attention.

-Well, that's been around for a while now.

That's actually the most famous thing about me.

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-The music and all that, it comes second to the giant scarf.

-I feel like my kids are gonna grow up and be like,

"Do you know that scarf guy is a musician?"

-Exactly.

-But you recently were at an event,

and you wore a denim poncho. -Oh, God. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

-And I just want to say -- Yeah, you pulled it off.

I mean, I think it's a very small number of people

that walk God's green Earth that can pull off a denim poncho.

-I've seen you in a denim poncho.

-Do you know how many things would have to go wrong

in my night to end up in a denim poncho?

Also, by the way, the difference between you and I

is when you show up on a red carpet with a denim poncho, people take pictures.

If I showed up, they'd be like, "Get out of here!

Get out of here, weirdo!"

But it's very nice. I'm very impressed.

Google Analytics Tutorial - How to create custom reports in Google Analytics - Duration: 3:23.

In this video let's talk about building a report that actually

sort of shows you step by step how your users are progressing

through a funnel.

So we're going actually to go for this one we're going to

create a custom report. We're going to go to custom reports.

And we see the list of custom reports we already have access

to in this case We're going to create a new custom report.

And this one will be our let's just call it our goals,

Step by step report. That's what we'll call it, the step by step

report.

So now what I'm going to do is going to click on or add metrics

and we already have goals set up for this exact purpose here.

So we've got our goals.

Now there's different goals that are set up in...

These are all associated to your specific views.

We want goal completion and we're looking for goals

completed.

In this case let's say we start with people that are engaged.

First this is a goal that was already set up so take advantage

of that and then we want to know people see here.

So we've got engaged and then people that enter checkout and

then finally let's do purchases. Purchases completed, so purchase

completed.

We're not looking for abandoned here we're look for goal

completions.

Okay.

So we've got the check out goal completions, the purchase

completed goal completions and are engaged users goal

completions and we're going to go to dimensions here and I'm

going to go ahead and build one out.

In this case we're going to do it by source medium. So I'm

going to take a look at the traffic sources first and then

maybe drill down so we can see the landing page how's that.

So we're going to take a look at that and actually just for

kicks, let's do device category and we're and move that up top.

So I'm going to push this up top so start with device category

that when I click into the device the different source

medium traffic sources and that type of traffic coming through

and then ultimately what landing pages those saw.

So we'll go ahead and scroll down and click save and take a

look at this report.

And here we can see kind of a really good section step by step

of how many people are completing various phases of our

customer journey in this case people that are engaged versus

enter the checkout versus actually completing a purchase.

And you can see here our desktop traffic definitely pushing in

more of the numbers here so we're going to drill down to

that desktop and learn a little bit more about how that's

happening or to click on desktop and we draw down now into the

source mediums so I can see a lot of traffic coming from

Google in this case Googleplex also some direct traffic coming

through.

And if I go and I decide, Okay well let's take a look at where

this Googleplex traffic, this seems to be the one that's

completing a lot of transactions here.

So let's go through and from a percentage standpoint it's

definitely a lot of people converting.

So let's take a look I'm going to click on Googleplex and then

it will show us the actual landing pages that Googleplex is

actually sending traffic to.

And we see that in this case the landing page that is really

bringing the most is that home page.

So it's getting the most traffic you know approximately what is

at 40 percent or so is coming through going to the next stage

and of those you know maybe 60 percent give or take is coming

through and completing the actual purchase.

So but really really quickly you can create this custom report to

show you just a rough idea of how your goals are performing

and be able to segment and drill down.

It's just one of the many features of Google Analytics.

You should be taking advantage of.

All right now it is your turn.

I would love to hear how you're actually applying what you're

learning to your own business.

Nissan e.dams Formula E Driver Oliver Rowland ready for Season 5's first race - Duration: 1:03.

I'm 26 years old

I grew up racing karts and

I've always enjoyed motorsport

Pretty much since then I've dreamed of

being a racing driver

I already did quite a lot in the junior ranks

I've been test driving Formula One cars for quite a few years now

So I'm pretty experienced for my age

I'm a rookie coming into this season

There's so many things for me to learn in Formula E

about the battery management, and the races, the driving style

I'm sure that it's going to take a few races to understand things

Hopefully throughout the season

I can keep on building and improving

getting some confidence and momentum

I'm just really excited to get to work and

learn what I can from my experienced teammate

and show everybody what I can do

Nissan e.dams Formula E Driver Sebastien Buemi ready for Season 5's first race - Duration: 1:09.

If you look at the car the generation 2 car looks completely different

We have a much bigger battery

we also have 25% more power

It's very difficult to be confident, you know?

We try to do the best we can with what we have

but it's very difficult to set ourselves goals and

know exactly what to expect

because we don't have any idea of

how we are compared to the rest

I'm doing the best I can to make sure

once we get into Riyadh we will have a good car

so spending a lot of time with the team

Oliver and myself we've been many days in a simulator

We try to share as much information as we can

discussing the last details

at the end of the day he is a competitor

but is also part of the team

so we want the team to do well

we want Nissan e.dams to win

and we need to work well together to achieve that

ROK Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard kick off regular two-day Dokdo defense drill Thursday - Duration: 0:40.

South Korea's navy, marine corps and coast guard kicked off their regular two-day Dokdo

defense drill on Thursday.

A navy official confirmed that 8 vessels, including a 3-thousand-200-ton destroyer,

and five aircraft were deployed in the drill.

The Dokdo defense drill, which aims to defend Korea's easternmost islets, dates back to

1986 and has been held twice a year since 2003

The last drill took place in mid-June this year.

Dokdo Island has belonged to Korea for thousands of years, and is under the legal and effective

control of the South Korean government,... despite false territorial claims by Japan.

Buildings and roads remains intact, personnel observed at N. Korea's nuclear test site: 38 North - Duration: 1:38.

Latest satellite pictures are said to reveal that... the Punggye-ri nuclear test site in

North Korea may have not been completely shut down as promised.

The site appears partially active even after the demolition of tunnel portals back in May.

Kan Hyeoong-woo reports.

A U.S.-based North Korea monitoring website says buildings and roads remain intact at

the regime's Punggye-ri nuclear test site,... suggesting they could be reused if Pyeongyang

decides to do so.

38 North, a project of the Stimson Center think tank, said satellite images from late

October and November showed the two biggest buildings at the Command Center are still

in place as well as some support facilities.

About two-dozen personnel were also spotted in the images of the site with roads showing

constant maintenance and vehicle tracks.

The website explained that Punggye-ri may only have been mothballed, with possible reactivation.

South Korea's Defense Ministry declined to comment on 38 North's report,... but said

that it's aware of the situation and has been keeping a close eye on the matter.

After his talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in October, U.S. Secretary of State

Mike Pompeo said the regime was ready to allow inspectors to visit the Punggye-ri nuclear

test site for verification of its complete dismantlement.

But since then, no follow-up talks or steps have been reported.

North Korea previously conducted all of its six nuclear weapons tests at Punggye-ri...

before closing it in front of a group of international journalists back in May.
