Rudy Giuliani Admits Trump Has Been LYING About Campaign Finance Violations - Duration: 4:11.

On Sunday, Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, appeared on ABC news with George Stephanopoulos

to talk about Donald Trump's increasing legal problems.

Uh, Giuliani though throughout the interview seemed to suggest that yes, Donald Trump has

been lying this whole time about the payments made to stormy Daniels.

What he knew when he knew it, and if he was even involved as it stands right now, Trump

has changed his story about half a dozen times.

The latest is that hell yeah, we made the payments.

It's just that that was a private transaction, you know, person, a paying person, be some

money for no particular reason whatsoever.

So they're not even denying that the payments took place in Trump's not even denying that

he knew had happened.

So Giuliani is having to go through and play cleanup because he's, he's doing his best

to not be the worst lawyer in the country, but he's still failing spectacularly.

Because during the interview with George Stephanopoulos, he told him that, yeah, Trump story has changed

a lot, but he wasn't under oath when he said any of these things.

So it doesn't matter.

You know, he can lie to the public as long as he's not lying under oath and everything's

cool at that point, right?

No, no.

Rudy, no.

Do you realize that everything your client, Donald J Trump says on Twitter, says in an

interview that can all be used against him because it's all about credibility.

So when this thing, if this thing finally goes to a trial and the prosecutors would

easily be able to prove that, look, he lied here, here, here, story changed.

Story changed.

Story Change.

That's not going to bode well for you.

Your interview with George Stephanopoulos where you say that it's okay for him to lie

because he wasn't under oath.

That's not going to bode well for you.

You've destroyed your own credibility as well as the credibility of your client.

I mean, this is legal malpractice at its finest and yet Trump still thinks you are doing a

hell of a job.

Giuliani went on to say that part of the reason Trump story keeps changing is because his

memory's just really bad.

He then said that he himself, Giuliani was there at some of these things and even he

can't recall exactly what happened.

So I guess at this point we're just dealing with two demented, possibly Alzheimer's suffering

senior citizens who, gosh darn it, they just can't remember what kind of crimes they were

committing.

Which day is a crazy day.

A lot of crimes.

Ah, I don't even know.

That's the best defense that Rudy Giuliani can come up with to defend the president of

the United States.

You know, sometimes this administration just makes it a little too easy on the opposition,

and Giuliani certainly isn't doing the president

any favors.

well played on the show yeah and a little bit of a quick housekeeping

before we get going yes so uh if you are in the Facebook live stream right now

you might have heard that we're doing two episodes today yes so we've decided

to push up our record date for this regular Tuesday episode which you're

hearing as usual this the week after which which will be dropping on

Christmas Day we are recording right now as well what a present so a present for

all the thing that happens between if it's in the last week that we don't talk

about on the podcast next week you know why and then we will come back and

record a podcast post new year and it looks like that would just be a delayed

episode so is he coming out on Wednesday instead of Tuesday or something recorded

on the second which is Wednesday okay so be coming out Thursday on Thursday for

the podcast yes so a couple days delayed on the other side that's a such a big

deal no and I mean now we need a vacation to guys I mean we do this every

single week for 52 consecutive weeks in fact we haven't missed a coming on five

years yeah of not missing a single yeah having having a new episode every single

week even if it's a couple days late so uh yeah I think a good job pat

ourselves on the back you know yes uh so Cory how was your week this week I mean

it was fine there wasn't anything too out of the ordinary yeah

anything unusual happen to you well I mean it was a good week a busy week at

work because we're building up to the holiday party and you know just trying

to keep things for oh I got hit by a car on Friday that also haven't you got hit

by a car you say I got hit by a car and he's alive to tell the story ladies and

gents yes so luckily it wasn't a freeway speed I wasn't trying to Frogger my way

across the highway at all you weren't getting out of your car to examine a

small bit of damage on your in the middle of the freeway and then get

clipped by something no no I was walking home from the bus that I used to take

for a home from work and some interesting things happened I made a

right and followed my normal way home which is to for anyone who's familiar

with the downtown area make a right walk down first Street down the hill

make a right on Fremont and then cross diamond that's how I welcomed and I was

crossing in front of the police state or the fire station

yep and then moving across Diamond Street and a gentleman also followed my

same path where he was turning right off of first Street and then was gonna turn

right onto Diamond Street probably too good to Figueroa yes yeah so the thing

that I did was just before crossing diamond I stopped I looked left and

right to assure that there was no oncoming traffic mm-hmm and then I began

walking right as people usually do yes society this was the fatal flaw of the

gentleman is that he did not in fact do that so there was no pause there was no

nothing there was a slowdown to manage the curve not to manage the man in the

crosswalk who he slammed into with the left front of his vehicle now to his

credit he stopped the car he got out looking at me over his driver side door

yeah waited for me to stand and maneuver my way out of his the front of his car

yeah before speeding off and leave side of the road so it was it was an

amazing experience I don't know I it's the kind of thing we're like a joke

Dylan on social media and said you know check that off the bucket list hit by a

car yeah but it's the kind of thing we're like you ever know what its gonna

be like right like you hear stories and things happen and God what do it's like

to get hit by a car number one it's not fun yeah I would say this is this would

be low-end on getting hit by a car - yeah yeah me i me low on the low on the

spectrum of getting hit by the car he was had to be doing less than 15 miles

an hour in order to navigate that curve and my guess would be that he was

breaking further and hopefully he hit the brake when he saw me he had yeah you

know something low speed 10 miles an hour or less a friend of mine on

Facebook joked like Oh does your shoes come off but I can tell you that laying

on the pavement there waiting mm-hmm I get why these shoes fall off I was doing

like a mental int like inventory of like what just happened yeah trying to

analyze cuz also by the way it happens very fast yeah we have no idea it's like

boob dink and you're on the ground like oh shit what the fuck but I remember my

feet like the whole sprained ankle thing came from me clawing at the ground to

try and uh like get my balance again yeah and like my feet leaving the ground

and as I laid there I was thinking like I could feel like the g-forces on the

bottom of my feet right and what would I have done if I lost this black shoe a

black on black Nike shoe at night with no street lights just walk home with

just my sock like yeah I don't know this is end of the road um I'll have to get

new shoes now yes yes I'll get new shoes so well yeah we you know it's an

interesting experience and i sat there on the side of the road for a minute and

got my bearings and it's the kind of thing where they good check it off the

bucket list I got hit by car and could have been much worse sprained ankle and

a couple of scrapes and bruises otherwise okay I always worry about that

intersection even during the day yeah because like I mean most most days when

I go to lunch I go that way to get towards wherever I'm going yeah and I

find that when I'm crossing Dimond it's like a little bit wider than the normal

Street yeah but it's also like a let's move quickly through this area like

there's like sort of like stop tional stop signs there yes like because

Piedmont doesn't have a lot of traffic right on the other portion where yeah

yeah yeah but whenever I'm walking there at lunch like I always seem to like

start to walk into the intersection just as a car pulls up and I'm just like are

they gonna even stop like yeah sometimes I got the headphones in and I'm just

like I think there's that but I think they're saying I hope there's nothing

but yeah it's a that's scary i we were all worried about you when you got home

because we were worried you might have like weird and internal injuries yes I

seem to be okay however if I died suddenly in the next 7 days we'll just

chalk it up to the car axle it's like a I was telling my mom like I don't like

everyone in my family doesn't like to worry people yeah like when there's some

major medical thing going on so we like usually downplay it a little bit right

but I like to say that the the one person who gets all of my complaints

about anything that's wrong with me is Rachel yeah because I just at least want

one person to know his back just hurtin for a couple days and also if I if I was

just like if all day I'm complaining about my ankle like my ankle really

hurts it hurts real bad and then she comes home and finds me like passed out

in the middle of the living room and she calls the emergency I want her to be

able to say like well he was complaining about his ankle I don't think that has

anything to do with okay I don't know just put it out there in the universe

maybe it's some sort of weird form of heart and the ankle both connected he

was grabbing his shoulder I did anything to do he grabbed his chest and went on

my heart but he was complaining about his ankles oh my nothing to do with him

I'd like you to not be so dismissive about by his ankle I think that might be

part of the game it works itself in somehow but uh one thing I'll say is

that it's you're put to the test I have said many times before that I will not

call the police for anything hmm I call them only when I need something

that only they can provide for instance I'm gonna get in an accident yeah you

need a police report I'm gonna make it claim to my insurance I cannot pay for

this $30,000 in damages myself this requires insurance this also

wires be getting a police report for my insurance all right must call them yeah

sure I'm gonna give them as little information as possible let's get this

fucking report and get out of here let's do that right but you know you get hit

by a car and the guy drives off and instinctually I'm like taking down

details and I'm sending text messages like oh it's a you know this kind of

person this Aves this height here's part a partial plate and a make and model and

like I'm just in the zone but then I'm we get home and I'm like you know what

let's uh we don't need to do that it's a person of color and I don't want

somebody getting shot because they run from the cops about a hit and run on my

account when I'm fine for the most part uh you know it's I've good insurance so

even if something had been wrong I could go to the hospital I could pay for

myself it's I feel like I feel like it's not it's not wrong that you don't want

to press charges but I think that there should be some

sort of punishment that's allowed to be served like what well I mean like I feel

like in a situation like that like you just got hit by a car you're in front of

the car he like looks up and over you should be able to like look up at him

and just be like listen I'm not gonna press charges but I'm a punch really

hard in the face right now yeah you know but he's also it was an awesome older

guy and like I still think of myself it means we're gonna we're gonna we're

gonna call this straight as long as I punch you really fucking hard in the

face I'm hitting me with the car I'm honestly okay with like the Wild West

rules which was basically that it was like you've offended me or hurt harm to

me in some way we can even this up right now

and let's not get the law involved at all right or I've been playing a lot of

Red Dead Redemption to shoot him one of those two I mean you could just know my

good guy rating is like xed out on good guy rating I don't shoot anybody like

they shoot me and I ride away that's how good of a guy I am and some people just

murder like Rob when he when he's done with this game like when he's completed

100% of the task yes and then you go and you're going back and doing it all

they're gonna do a black head style I'm gonna pop up on the first stage is the

first thing I'm saying the first person Wow all right oh I got a bouncy now good

for you pal all right yeah fuck everybody there are a couple missions

where like it's basically like it doesn't impact your good guy or bad guy

rating yeah because the mission is you have to escape with your life and that

requires just shooting everybody and I do take a special pleasure in those

missions where it's just like I'm on Deadeye it's a ding ding ding ding ding

ding ding ding and it's 14 rounds in the Lancaster repeater and just like tag 14

people and if that is pow pow pow pow pow everybody's down it's a special

pleasure I'm gonna enjoy that a lot when I do the blackhat but naturally yeah

wait hat so you know you say that I got hit by a car I don't think see that's

something like living by your morals this is what I keep telling these kids

that I work with I'm like listen you have to live you have to have a code and

you live by it and you don't just live by it when it's convenient it's it's

easy for me to say hey like I will go out and polish all I can think about is

bunk which is going like a man must have a code right hey I don't mean like in a

way of oh what's that Omar Omar yes I mean that's a thing like

Omar live by a code and you didn't have to agree with it but it made sense to

him yeah so it makes sense to me I'm gonna live by the same code and I think

that this is a good example to them of living by a code my code is you do not

call the police for anything I got hit by a car unless it's going to to general

impact you personally I mean an egg unless there's no other choice and by

the way it doesn't involve somebody else yeah like property crime my car got

broken into right I filed a report to try and get the insurance to cover what

was stolen out of the car I could give them no description of the person I

could give them no description of anything at all just hey my car got

broken into I need your police report number yeah that's it good fantastic I'm

finally doing that and you know those kind of things might be good because it

keeps them keeps LAPD off the street from maybe shooting or maybe doing

something yeah yeah or like the Baltimore Police the guy just sitting in

the parking lot of the mall where he can't see any of the stores like yeah

that's good ot right there that's good øt um but yet now I live by your code my

code is I never called the police and I don't call the police that's it and

sometimes that decisions difficult like when you're laying on the pavement

saying what fuck what the fuck and by the way that was the first thing I said

I hit the ground I rolled over to my side I looked over my shoulder at the

front lights of the cars and what the fuck as if the car was sentient and it

was the car itself AC but I feel like I get that a lot with just like a lot of

times when I'm walking around downtown like somebody wants to try and make a

right before people start crossing yeah so like you know like the it goes green

the same moment that the light change or that the crosswalk light changes

somebody know people are gonna start going yeah so you see one person like

making a super-wide right into the middle of the whole thing like just to

avoid people and you see all the people in the cross arms just going like what

the fuck bro you can't wait two minutes for it to clear you can't wait for the

next light yes oh yeah yeah especially well now I hate them because I commute

via public transportation most the time which I do a lot of walking and I also

have become conscious of the fact that I come in hard to read lights mmm and how

come consciously that makes me feel like I'm gonna get hit by a car and hopefully

now ever so much so ever so much so getting feared getting hit by car but as

you can see queries also distracted by something off to his right well I think

it's time that we meander over into a sports ball corner

oh wait we gotta go wait yeah

he distracted me during the night as I was gonna serious off my question yes so

um we are currently watching Red Dawn yep and if i read zen with the two game

are these the only two games going on right now

yeah there's only two late games okay because they had to Saturday game oh

that's right yeah well I'll get hit by a car I didn't do any of my fantasy

basically whatever I had on Thursday with what I rolled with yeah for the

whole weekend so I'm hoping that most of the team filled out it seems to be going

okay based on the alerts and it also helps when your opponent only puts up 30

points and but if she has some point she has the players on Monday so we'll see a

Carson Wentz list Philadelphia Eagles so that's tonight is that tonight yeah a

game tonight okay Oh our late game this is the 4 o'clock games yeah there's a

one o'clock games right right anyway uh so sports ball uh Ravens played this

morning though yes and how did that go for the autumn or

Football Club they were victorious 22:12 yes have books I I watched that

one on red zone like I've sort of I also slept for most of the first half which

apparently is for the best because it was really wet and like not very

inspired football was being played yes in the earlier part of the game but I

I'm so torn with Lamar right now because I love it I love how like this team is

playing right now and I think that it's it's inspired and it's like it feels

like a new thing like a brand new thing like believe you got a car like you had

a stupid beat-up car forever yeah and then you've got a brand-new car yeah and

maybe it's the same exact model car like maybe you got a 20 you know 18 cruise

instead of your your old one but I was saying like the new one just feel like

you're just like oh it's all new it's all fancy so special

and maybe it doesn't do things the way your old car did but it's also doing new

things your old car never did as well you know right so it's like a mix of all

these all these fun emotions but I still can't help but feel like we're gonna get

fucking to the playoffs we're gonna have a first round game against the you know

chargers or whatever and then all of a sudden that's when Lamar Jackson is

completely and totally exposed okay and he's throwing five

interceptions because he's trying to fight his way back into a game that he

has no business being in but we do have in those times those games really

fucking bug me like it really bothers me like I've invested all season and like

it seems like this team could figure out some way to like maybe make a Super Bowl

if the right number of things go go go land and then immediately right away is

like the five interception Lamar can't throw but he would have the freedom to

throw five interceptions because I think you have an elite quarterback a so

called itself called elite quarterback on the bench and you just send him in

right and he throws one interception maybe two all right great you throw out

you put in Joe Flacco you let him start using those interceptions to draw some

downfield yeah and then you just go for it go for

the wind through the penalties that's the way to go something tells me this

this Ravens season is gonna end in heartbreak so therefore as a protection

against myself I'm already thinking that it's gonna happen I think this is the

much like we talked about in the beginning of the season when we were

predicting how this football season goes to do acknowledge that there's any any

possibility that I'm going to predict how the Ravens are you know because it

only goes the opposite way of whatever that is if I say like this team is

really good they could go 11 and 5 and maybe win the division that's when they

go one in 15 yeah everybody say this team fucking sucks they're gonna go one

in 15 that's when they go heaven but there's no predicting it so therefore I

am just going to live in the world where we are going to get annihilated in the

first round of the playoffs and hopefully that

reverse jinxes us into idle cess I don't think that there was any way that when

Joe comes back to first week he can that we have any better chance of making the

playoffs or succeeding in the playoffs than we do right now is Lamar Jackson

this team is either going to be good enough to get to the playoffs and

compete or it's not and it doesn't matter whether it was Joe or somebody

else it doesn't matter if it's old Joe Cool or if it's Lamar Jackson the new

hotness if the light best yeah I just it feels like two different things like you

know it's like if I told you to to start throwing the football right-handed and

then halfway through start throwing it left-handed yeah like it the teams feel

different when it's Jo and Lamar right it's a different kind of football

they're doing old Smash Mouth run it football mm-hmm and like ESPN was it but

I mean like I did you like we could still do some of that with I mean like

Gus that's Edwards has been a revelation since coming out you keep saying that

yeah but I'm saying like that that's that hardly happened dirty and Lamar

horrible keeps putting in Lamar for a reason

oh I'm not sit and listen for Jose or for John's sake he should keep putting

in Lamar because his job is going online yeah Joe's gonna get cut at the end of

the year yes like there's no way you're you're bringing him back for another 30

million dollars or whatever but like you Joe's gonna be gone so you might as well

and Gracie ate yourself at the new quarterback and you show like oh this

could be really fun if you bring me back for another year I can I can really look

at what it will have it when I have a full year of Lamar to like practice with

you know like from the beginning from Spring Training when we were getting

getting first team snaps all the way through training camp and stuff like

that right I think that I actually think that John keeps his job now ya know

Lamar has certainly helped that argument I I think I think there is a while there

where it looked like there's no way John's coming back yeah but I think I

think it's like 50/50 right now that he he probably stays and I'm only saying

that because I think that decosta is probably looking at the other coaches in

the league and looking at how many of them just don't know what the fuck

they're doing most of the time and being like we have one of the

I call it 10 best coaches yeah and like why would we just get rid of that like

look look at what look at what that is happening at Oakland like we gotta have

Jon Gruden right now and yeah like we we should just stick with what we have

because it's a known quality Jon Gruden was supposed to be I mean he is a genius

right that's why you went to the booth and then came back to the field

yeah it's like a 10-year contract oh by the way enjoy that one Las Vegas

thank you Tom Brady for making us be Patriots fans and then not being able to

get the job done in pretty typical Brady fashion yeah screw you

yeah but only a plus side Big Ben hopefully put up some fantasy points for

me so I mean the playoffs oh the fantasy fantasy Posse League right now I'm in

the yeah how's that going sorry Rachel just give that one last win

in ya ball of the off season you know I beat her so often I might as well add it

on today I mean what did I say

there you go this guy um yeah so fantasy is uh I guess I probably could have done

a little better this week luckily I think my competition also had an off

week and did not change her it off not mine yes I think here's the problem she

like I checked out once we had qualified for the playoffs yeah I checked back in

on Wednesday to modify my lineup and then just didn't have a chance to do it

again after again I'm getting hit by a car on Friday so I think she just didn't

take that opportunity to join back in and change her lineup because I think

she played somebody who was out and a couple of players who were benched so

but maybe the whens lists Eagles will pull it for her the Nick Foles I don't I

think she's got a receiver and the defense from the from the Eagles that's

not good for her because uh Brandon cooks and Jared Goff of my fantasy team

are going to be yes running roughshod on them all

game on I'm not sure defense Philadelphia defense was a good choice

this week against the mighty LA Rams but then again you know they got they got

completely embarrassed against the Bears the other day said yeah hey comes and

goes by the way did you see that there's a there's a logistic chance that the

Browns could not only win the division but when I get a wild-card spot as well

yeah yeah yeah I mean the division was pretty easy I think they needed the

Steelers to lose today which didn't happen but what was it they if it went

out to right they have to win out including beating the Ravens and week 17

yeah trying to find the exact it was a whole list of like how the how the

Browns could win right the Browns who won eight games in the last four years

before this year less was it really probably yes it hasn't won yeah they

have yeah so this was going into today's today's action Browns can clinch a

wild-card spot if all these things happen

Browns went final two games Ravens lose at least two of final three games

including week 17 verse Cleveland Pittsburgh loses last three games Colts

lose at least two of their final three dolphins lose at least two of their

final three Titans lose two of their final three and the winner of the indeed

Tennessee match must have lost their previous two games okay so that's how

the Browns can make the wild-card but impressive turnaround an organization

that was we won 181 game last year yeah after winning none the season before

they it's gonna I think Baker is gonna be something to reckon with in coming

years and and I think Baker versatile Marge acts and matchups are gonna be

very interesting for the next couple years as a fan of the AFC North you know

the question is what's next for the Steelers cuz Ben's got to be out too

right probably next year I mean Ben might have another year or two left in

him or like a year to where they have him on the roster kind of thing but I

imagine they start transitioning to whoever the next in line will be they'll

probably draft a quarterback at some point here soon yeah

what what what really bothers me about the fucking Steelers is much like the

Yankees where somebody goes down and I'm just like all right let no levian bow

this season great James Conner who and then James Conner is just as good if not

better than you would expect levy on bail to be yeah and then finally James

Conner goes down he gets hurt and you're just like oh thank god

now the Steelers can just peacefully lose the rest of their games and then

whoever the fuck was running for them today was another yeah heavy on bail

again like it might as well have just been levy on bail wearing other people's

jersey maybe was the free agent avión tell what is play for the sea today and

then the other thing too with the Steelers is like every single year they

draft some wide receiver in like the second round that nobody has ever heard

of it it's just like Brian bas cake from acorn state like we're the fuck is acorn

state and then all of a sudden is this like a revelation yeah oh that Wasik

taking over the the Washington guy who I had never heard of before today but is

apparently it had like 90 yards in a touchdown so it's the same thing like

with the juju last year yeah like juju was some you know like taking in the

second round by some no-name college and everyone like looked at it and they're

just like juju who like that's it that seems like a dumb pick from the Steelers

and then they all turn into wonderful like first round first round talents yep

even when they're drafted in the fifth round can we do that can we do that in

Baltimore yes I wish just to have one wide receiver like yes I've maintained

that Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan are the same exact person only that Matt Ryan

has that better quarterbacks this whole time or better wide receivers this whole

time that the row to if we had just like to juice in the Shuster on the Ravens

like I imagine opinions of Joe would have been way different than they are

hasn't Joe appeared in more Super Bowls than that Ryan though no two-to-one no

they're both in one we that's right no I guess we didn't appear I thought we

appeared in lying lost but now Ravens appeared in two Super Bowls but there

was way before tried Dilfer was back in 2000 right right right

mm mm yeah 12 mm-hmm right okay so Matt Ryan and he

had both appeared in the same number of Super Bowls though correct Joe won his

Matt losses not only one but became a Super Bowl MVP yes so I mean it's not

nothing that different know what I'm saying like

Matt Ryan today became the fifth player in his first 10 years in the league to

throw however many yards and so and I'm he's got somebody look at those things

that are just like that really doesn't matter when you have late when you can

literally just like throw the ball in the air as hard as high and far as you

want and then Julio Jones is gonna come down with it on the other end like Roddy

White when they had Julio and Roddy White Lake the best Joe ever had it was

either Bolden or Smith at the end of their career

yeah where they were both fun and acceptable players but they weren't the

type of guys who like I still I feel like the Raven still owe me for like

when I was sitting in the the draft party the inaugural draft party yeah and

I'm like watching the the the ESPN coverage on the screen and I'm just like

we should probably Drive Randy Moss and like it's just like there's 26 picks

that go by and nobody picks there he goes I'm like maybe mom Randy Moss is

the best talent like I almost don't care what he does he yeah but you know what

there's they've also Jose but also been stuck with a lot of dead wood like that

Perryman kid we had to get him and get him out of here and now he's a superstar

for the Cleveland Browns I don't know what it is about Baltimore maybe it's

the constant threat of violence but he will just seem to go somewhere else

loosen up and do well on all sports it's nice it's nice though that a Perryman

has the opportunity to clear his head and go to a new place and become the

blood I always hate like you know like when a team draft when you when you pick

up somebody you're just like all right this is gonna he's gonna be the

superstar and then eventually you're just like alright well I think he just

needs to change the scenery he needs to go somewhere new season and then as soon

as he goes there he becomes the superstar yeah now that I thought for

sure Perryman was gonna be a superstar but I mean like he's that a fine to

games or something like that where he said some traumatic like impossible cat

touchdown catches and then when he was playing with

and seemed like his whole hands were made of brick but I cannot if he had Joe

Flacco throwing to him so maybe that makes all the difference in the world

but uh anyway you know when you'll probably find out is the day after Joe

Flacco was cut yeah cuz then the day usually the day after somebody leaves

town is when you start here and all those like it's much like the like once

the girlfriend breaks up with you is when you say it is little dick

motherfucker that's what you're gonna hear a lot of what Janice is like well

you know he's gonna throw a spiral yes the last four years of his career he

couldn't even throw spirals I don't even know what yet I'm on the team anyway

moving on you wouldn't believe me for it but you're gonna throw me under the bus

like you're trying to believe me but ball comes at you sideways hard to catch

this way yeah just rolling doc into my hands anyway speaking of the other

sports franchise in Baltimore yes the O's have made a couple of changes in the

off season um after about nine different rumors of nine different people who were

gonna come in and manage the team yeah none of which were buck showalter stays

which by the way yeah interesting nobody thought he would be back I mean he

wasn't gonna be back but that makes me sad but anyway the owners have a new

manager Carlos Hyde the former receiver for the San Francisco over running back

for the San Francisco 49ers Brandon Knight Brandon Hyde oh right okay yeah

you know you know what I enjoy most about Brandon IDE I saw the I got an

email from the Orioles when they announced it and they had a picture of

him said like welcome to Berlin and everything like that and I enjoyed that

that this guy looks kind of like me like he's just like a big thick white guy

with a beard and look I look at him and I'm just like alright so maybe I could

still do this maybe I could still be manager of the Orioles sure clearly

they're allowing my type to be also that guy has like 15 years of baseball as a

player it is a coach listen all I gotta do is become real good friends with the

Angeles's and huh yeah and you'll get your appointment just start sneaking my

way in sure backs that Brady along the way

give myself into the front of the line so I feel this Brandon Snider guys not

doing anything to you hide comes from I'm gonna do that a bunch by the way

because there used to be an Orioles farmhand named Brandon Snider and now

I'm gonna keep calling and Brandon Snider instead of Brandon hide much like

by the way I know I'm a fucking idiot by the way on the creed review yeah right

kept saying Creed 3 when I miss a Creed for you know like that type of thing

where it used to be the joke with the Osama bin Laden and the Barack Hussein

like a we're crossing Obama ya and Saddam Hussein like Obama and yeah that

is the one that was going on yeah where it's just like people were like actively

telling themselves like don't say it don't say it don't say and then as soon

as you get out and well Sam was really fucking things up around here it's a god

damn it I said hey I told myself not to say it multiple times so yes I'm aware I

fucked up is rocky for night rocky 3 I'm sorry back to second yeah so he comes

from the Cubs organization yes is that right mm-hm and what are we expecting

from Hyde I know you you were gushing about him when it when it was first

announced well I I really I really enjoy when you when you pick somebody and like

much like we were talking about with the NFL have there's only a certain number

of like elite head coaches kind of thing I think that there's only a certain

number of elite baseball minds in the majors right now okay and one of them is

Joe Maddon and having somebody who was like this right-hand man of Joe Maddon

makes me happy as nouriel's an that were perhaps going to be getting some like

outside of the box thinking and like every single year every single year for

the entire history of their existence people have been saying Tampa Bay is

gonna finish last in the division yeah and then they almost never do like

somehow they find somebody who comes up and does something special and it's just

a system that that has to be taught or think or I were the Orioles find a way

did not win 60 games that's also one way for them not to finish in the top

yeah I mean I just I I just feel like Elias is trying to set up something

special here okay and I think that hide is the type of guy who is going to fit

in that system and be able to be more analytical about it okay

and that hopefully this equals a new a new era of Orioles baseball where we're

able to compete with just the people that we sort of like Scout and bring up

and and build from within and then the Orioles the the good news about the

Orioles is they they're not a minor at a small-market team like Oakland or Kansas

City or something like every once in awhile they can open up the purse

strings and bring somebody in right so the idea of like getting really close

and then being able to bring in that big free agent hitter or some like that or

something the Orioles can do we have Chris Davis under contract why would you

do that he's gonna be with us for like six years I am curious as to what what a

what the project with Chris Davis is yeah cuz I feel like you just gotta like

break him down to his base element and start over yeah I mean I hope the

project involves something similar to Guantanamo Bay that's what my he's

thinking it's gonna get shut down and I never get shut down

I mean they're like waterboarding and breaking him down to like when he's

nothing in this building him back up again and maybe finding that there was

some natural talent in there to hit a baseball that it wasn't just mental yeah

because if it was just mental we're probably lost I don't I don't really

know what the plan is so but I guess we'll see it's a long offseason right

yeah and there's still you know by getting assistant coaches and hitting

coaches and pitching coaches and all this

so we'll see what they do but I mean like so far the Orioles aren't gonna be

very good next year even though I'm still gonna probably put a stupid $20 on

them to win the world's here because Buck got fired last year and there's no

reason not to at least the odds are gonna be like 1500 oh I know it's gonna

be huge or 225 $20 bet al title like don't go crazy because like but

everything that buck got fired from doesn't necessarily win the World Series

the next no but they get a win the pennant

just al champion Baltimore Orioles $20 bet to pay off 20,000 something like

that let me laugh in my own my way all the way to the bank

yeah there's no way this goes wrong so we have some people joining us in the

chat so you can also join us at facebook.com forward slash o the anthem

that's where we are broadcasting live every single week while you're there

make sure you like the page for notifications and hit that Bell I'll let

you know when we go live Roberto friend of the show Roberto has

joined us in the chat yes Roberto that haircut I hope you talking about me

looks fantastic thank you to the great critic clips in Alhambra and Jenny who

really knows how to do a good haircut mm-hmm so if you're in the Hamburg area

head on over to great clips why would you be in the other people find

themselves there there's a Costco there you never know also from Roberto Cory

looking like a soccer player maybe from here up soccer player I think he's

referring to them at this point Thank You goalie I mean he could

probably be our coach soccer coach even the soccer coach wouldn't they do a lot

but you got to get so like yeah and Roberto asking have you talked about the

attempted murder against you yes we started the show with the intent of

course we talked about it make sure that you check out the first part of the show

it'll be live on Christmas Day our present to you on Christmas Day week

before Christmas oh yes right that's the night yes oh they'll be available

Tuesday check out the episode yeah or you listening to it right now and none

of this is yeah this also seems like making up making a problem Zoey yeah so

a lot on to where national news big news this week Trump yeah ready to shut down

the government once again mm-hmm because the Republicans never learned their

lesson you know it I think if there's any lesson that I I've I've learned this

year it's that you can't you can't trust anybody to just do the right thing we

had that with Miguel Santiago or yeah it's like a Democrat out of Los

Angeles should know better than to go up against net neutrality but every once in

a while you have to you have to make some calls you have to go down to

offices you have to go like you know like I'm going to actively try and get

you out of office if you do this shit to us and buh-buh-buh and you have to stand

up for what you believe the border wall the five billion dollar border wall that

trump is willing to shut down the government for is has a massive

disapproval number yeah the likes of which we almost don't even get anymore

I think it's like 68 or 75 percent disapprove of the idea of building the

wall well most of us are logical enough to understand that a wall in modern

times does nothing yeah people go under it especially seen as most people come

into this country on an airplane yes and even if you did build a wall the people

the fine people of Mexico are incredible building tunnels which is defeats the

wall yes funny funny thing about that is if you're playing a game of tunnels

walls and airplanes walls lose to everything literally everything beats

walls eyeballs also the other the other part I find particularly interesting

about this whole thing is that they a seven-year-old died from dehydration and

separated everything like that at the border and I'm not laughing because it's

it's hilarious I'm laughing at it because it's it's like a new sad low and

it's it's almost like I feel like Trump if he eventually gives up and just signs

a CR to continue the government along yeah he's just gonna come up with

something almost worse like I I can already see him planning on having like

drones just like constantly going up up and down the border firing that

literally anyone out there just because there was a time which I advocated for

that very thing just be that machine guns on the border that are have

infrared on them and whether it's a rabbit or a horse or a person nothing

comes in the border zone yes but the the terrifying continuation of Trump is that

I see is that he's going to extend himself to this sort of level in

spite of the wall yeah so he's gonna spend this whole week going you know

choking Nancy you're trying to keep the wall away from the American people

everyone wants it and then eventually there's gonna be some sort of like

alright well we'll give you 1 billion dollars towards border security not

enough to build your stupid wall but here's your border security and the

Troubles say that he won yeah but then when there's no wall on February and

there's slow news coverage that's when the drones are just gonna start mowing

down Mexicans ands Trump's gonna be like well this is how we got to defend our

country now like think I'm part of like do you want to get this stupid baby is

wall just so he doesn't do something work like it's like that's literally

something like I never in my life before have I ever thought about politics in

the sense of like well we're gonna shut this down and then we don't like you

know like if you don't want the Clinton health care plan you shut it down you

they bring it up and you know in front of Congress they it loses and then

you're done with it yeah I had to worry about them bringing it up again with

Trump I have to worry about the terrifying new highs in which and a

broken idea can turn into something even worse you know yeah

and he's already laid the groundwork by saying that Mexico he's paying for the

wall and here's how the New Deal that they're striking that will replace NAFTA

will essentially make up the fifteen billion dollars for the wall so if he

increases tax revenue I'm guessing I don't really I guess it's we're gonna

put in some tariffs and those tariffs and we're gonna collect 15 billion which

will pay for the wall essentially except for that 15 billion will be raised over

the course of a decade which means he'll be out of office and the tariffs will be

dropped before they actually repay for anything yeah um but so he's laying the

groundwork by saying what we are getting the Mexicans to pay the wall for the

wall just indirectly and I saw a green not only I mean like they're the you

know the the Republican tax plan directly led it was those whore plant

closings by GM yeah as one example and most of those plants are fucking going

to Mexico yeah because it actually incentivizes companies to move their

business and their workforce to Mexico so III don't I don't get where where

they they're coming from wood because the the

point is that and not to get on my proletariat soapbox there but the point

is for poor people here without jobs to hate poor people in Mexico without jobs

and to think that they're the problem when the problem is that the guy who is

on top of the pyramid is really just moving little things around on a chess

board to make people hate each other yeah and keep us from organizing and

once we organize and we throw them out then everything would be better for

everyone but we won't do that because we blame everyone else also I saw an

interesting tweet recently I'd like to bring this up to have people think on it

a little bit yeah we we there are active things within our media which are trying

to just cause the outrage like it used like trolling used to be something that

you would do on like you know a Twitter commenters yeah you know or at the ER a

message board throughout some outrageous statement and see how many people could

get upset this is an active part of how news organizations quote-unquote news

organizations try and get viewers to their site or get people to come to

their web sites where they like the one I saw that was an example today was an

tweet some people are saying that Santa should be gender non gender neutral or

vml like whatever whatever your interpretation of who Santa Claus should

be is like what it should be and this is clearly just nothing other than getting

idiots upset yeah like getting somebody who's just like salmon on a man not on

my watch get them all fired up make them share that thing on Facebook oh like

these stupid liberals and their goddamn Santa hating ya you know and then go on

to there go on to the web site not read the article but put some comment like

you know like I'll be damned if Santa's ever a female in my view it's not that I

don't like women it's just like this is all part of a strategy to get somebody

to just do something over which nobody is fucking doing yeah there maybe

there's a small fraction of a percentage of people who actually go like Oh

Santa's a woman in my mind fine don't fucking listen to them I think only

mom from fresh off the boat thinks that saying as a woman they did a whole

series about it there's like a two-episode arc you can check it out so

available because go watch it don't live in this world where where you're

constantly being like antagonized by people writing stupid nonsense that is a

mainstream news network I think that was CNN that is ridiculous yeah and they're

doing it just to wine people on but that's where we are and that's what

Trump has done to the country and Stephen Miller is apparently writing the

ice press briefings now are the press releases now we're seriously like you

can see videos of of Border Patrol officers finding water out in the desert

and just like dumping it out and then they're like listen not our fault

she chose to cross it a non-legal border crossing and died of hyper

non hypothermia but dehydration hydration yeah listen maybe she should

have brought more water with her maybe she should have found some water in the

desert mm-hmm but again that they had her in

custody and she died in custody is like the most appalling thing yeah we at this

point we are just bordering you can find any video of the Gaza border with Israel

yeah that is what our border with Mexico is starting to look like militarized and

oh wait no the troops went home because the elections over so not as militarized

yes but still like actively they were shooting tear gas at kids like two weeks

ago yeah I mean like we didn't get into that at when it happened because I think

it happened like lead on the Monday and we didn't like weed into it because I

think Corey's scared of the hot takes recently I'm not scared of the hot takes

I just didn't want to like I didn't know anything about it and I didn't want to

talk I didn't want to talk about something I didn't know anything about

and I still don't know everything that I think I would like to know about the

situation but just as a general rule I I see no reason why you would ever fire

tear gas at a job yeah no matter how no matter how far along in my process I go

III don't come up with many reasons why children should be tear gassed like I

mean I just probably with some is it a private school where

it's just a bunch of rich kids and we're coming in like I mean yeah I get it

they're annoying and they they cry and they want their mommy and blah blah blah

blah but like there's no real reason to actively teargas children it's a nice

but stupid and stupid and pointless yeah and what luckily though those children

and millions like by the way I'm sorry one other thought it's like almost

everyone has forgotten what led to al-qaeda and all these terrorist groups

in the Middle East where we started intersecting ourselves into the affairs

of competent of countries that we hadn't did we didn't need to get involved in

yeah and then we start selling arms to some of them and then they become

enemies later and then we're trying to topple one dictator to bring another one

in because this dictator is gonna be friendlier to our oil interests than the

other one and we've been doing this throughout

Central America for ever yeah which is why they're coming here but yeah this is

why they're coming here we we put some we put some you know random dictator in

charge of Venezuela and then all of a sudden everyone has to flee and try and

get to a place where they won't worry about waking up in the middle of the

night dead and well no to be fair we put a dictator in place in Cuba the cute are

in Venezuela the Venezuelan people finally stood up throughout said

dictator and put someone in power that they chose and so we put sanctions on

them so strictly that they can't export anything from their country yeah only

two countries that are friendly with them like Cuba which is also under

sanctions so not a great exchange there and the u.s. leans on other countries in

Europe and in Asia to not trade with you so then eventually you cause an influx

of tho or an outflux of those people to other countries around them which

destabilizes those countries because they have an influx of ID law

ideologically different people coming into their country so now the US

government intercedes in that country because let's say all the Communists who

are in Venezuela but who can't eat there go to Panama Panama now has an influx of

communists and you know what communism starts looking pretty good to those

people so we toppled government in order to put in a dictator

that will fight communists there which causes in outlooks of communist to

Guatemala and Honduras and to Nicaragua and so we topple those governments in

order to put it in our anti-cop cap anti-communist people there and thus

goes the 20th century eventually it just came back around to Venezuela having

communism again yeah and Oh trying to topple it again no

but there you know this isn't this isn't fancy news though this is always been

Laden got plenty of weapons and you know troops essentially the American people

don't talk about training the the Taliban essentially to topple

Afghanistan yes how do you fight a a major power well you guys look pretty

stupid out here with your bows and arrows and your old hunting guns let's

give you some real guns and teach you some real tactics and then he could shoo

meme oh you're using them against us strange how that works out yeah yeah

it's a it's a it's a global politics is a lot like Jenga you move one thing put

it somewhere else but you're you're hurting the other part yes and that's

the voting the foundation foundation to make it taller and this is this is

something that Trump should personally have experience with I mean the problem

with Trump is that in between his own turns he's also banging on the table

because it was which is never good when he did talking about Jenga

but luckily those children American children children all over the world

have strong leadership coming in to the Congress and they will stand up for

what's right no yes oh wow I I'm so fucking sick and tired of Chuck Schumer

I am going to scream first of all I wouldn't know what magic keeps those

glasses on his face because he can move and gesture and those things just hurt

magnets inside of his nose that's gotta be it it's got to be it he had he had a

hit a piercing just in the inside just about the just catches it hold it

doesn't have to keep the magnets on Jack I it's almost like he doesn't live

in a world like sometimes I watch Trump and I'm just like he doesn't operate in

the same universe as the rest of us like he's in his own Lake tansy fanciful

universe where like it certain things hit him and certain

things don't but I Chuck Schumer is just as bad as type in that regard because

like he was talking to Trump like Trump said something like you know like we

need the border wall everyone wants the border wall American demand for the

border wall was high and then like the Schumer goes into his like well you know

the Washington Post gave your comments on the border wall of for Pinocchio

rating I'm just like don't ever say that again those are not words that you

should be using to like the debate with this press just like seriously like if

he's just like I owe the American people wanted we want it with though the wall

is the most popular thing in the entire America it's just be like trucks should

literally just sit there just be like seriously Donnell shut the fuck up and

then he did that once during a press conference everyone just be like Chuck

Schumer finally stands up to Donald Trump give those leaders and we deserve

you know like that but you just need that way don't do your life you know

like well according to Washington Post fact checkers I I recently gotten word

that your your statements on on the border are getting multiple Pinocchio's

every single time and he doesn't care he knows he's lying but no you know what

people you know what people who like bully others really don't like being

embarrassed in front of others so if Chuck Schumer was just like just in the

middle of that press conference instead of launching into one of his many like

completely meaningless rants he could have just like any point just muttering

on his breath like just goddamn channel she was such a fucking idiot and then

all the press corps would have laughed and you would have seen Trump's pace

like literally like drop and then that would have become like this huge fucking

meme forever oh yeah and a nice trial story would be about like you know the

Chunkin were calls Trump a fucking idiot under his breath Trump doesn't know what

to say to it like you know like it would have changed the story of the stupid

Lake and Schumer's trial for treason would

tracked us for the next six months and actually talked about that as a trump

calls for the guards like God sees him he's not allowed to do that Jay said but

you're not to tell me to go fuck myself nobody's allowed to do that except for

daddy and daddy's dead I will say the one thing I've gone from Chuck's humor

generally I like to think that he is trying his best to at least placate all

sides but what I got from him this week was he is a man who is skilled at saying

a lot without saying anything and most of that press conference like the

Pinocchio rating and the like you know I do mr. president I just don't think you

understand that all of that is just saying things without saying anything of

substance yeah he came out of that meeting and it didn't had an interview

with some paper in Washington or a media of some kind and someone asked him hey

Medicare with this judge overturning oh by the way judging Texas completely

overturned Obamacare basically said that the individual man in a way that is

completely non legal by the way the most political and non legal decision I have

ever read just basically saying here is the outcome I want and I'm gonna ignore

all the precedents and just say I'm gonna take this from this one and

there's almost what that was like he doesn't realize that when I get to

overturned an appeal at some point that it's going to make it even more

difficult to like argue want any of the framework right he said for he doesn't

care about that though what he cares about is getting Donald's attention and

going from where he is yeah to the federal court of appeals or over Mobile

County to the Supreme Court right exactly

so every overturned the individual mandate and said that it was inseparable

from the whole whole even though it has been separated from the whole I guess

already which is why that's an illegal anyway not important so somebody asked

Chuck Schumer with Obamacare being overturned by this judge in Texas and

the individual mandate leading to the fall of the whole thing and Medicare for

all being such a high popular thing with the left is this something you'll push

for in the next Congress and he wishy-washy had ways to his way through

it and the end result is him saying and the commenter I saw on this said

this is something that Democrats need to learn to do Republicans when they get

into power will start offering these ridiculous extremely right-wing

legislation mm-hmm that they know may or may not pass but they also know that if

they throw three of them at you the Democrats will make a deal in which

they'll agree to one yeah so let's do that and let's say no matter what the

Medicare for all is gonna be the one so let's go for open borders and ninety

percent tax on the rich and Medicare for all put those in and then go to the

Republicans to be like listen guys we have constituents here

they voted us in clearly they want us to rule so one of these needs to go which

one would you prefer the one that costs you nothing the one that caused you

ninety percent or the one that sends a flood of people from other countries in

here I I think I think my my number one problem with Chuck and Nancy at this

moment is that they they they will refuse to play the game that Mitch

McConnell and Paul Ryan have been playing terrifyingly but masterfully yes

like everyone everyone who thinks that Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are devil

incarnate are are flabbergasted every single time they put some bill up or

yeah something that you know tries to strike down the Affordable Care Act or

to this so they do that like everything that just breaking the the the the very

fabric of what what the Democrats believe but they're so good at doing

that yeah because they don't get distracted they don't fall for bullshit

like if something comes up like you know like if I just murdered Rob here in

front of here on camera pacano McConnell if I was McConnell I would be able to

say something like well I don't think we need to worry about that right now I

mean we need to I need to be arrested and charged and then we need to go

through the corridors there's no way that we can prove that this actually

happened and I should probably keep my seat this whole time let's we're

discussion about it yeah I mean like this

today problem this is another like start your investigation and then I will help

you along with it and we'll figure it out eventually and in many years we'll

come to some sort of reasonable you can't do it be like you just murdered

that guy on TV now no there's no way around it he does not care McConnell and

Ryan do not care they will do whatever they need to do to get the the the end

result that they want and Chuck and Nancy don't have that that bone in them

where they're gonna say like maybe I got to be a little bit deceitful or maybe I

guess maybe I got to press the line a little bit here they're just not gonna

do it because they think that the much like you said about a man with the code

yeah they stick to a code but then they also have alternate codes for different

different yeah yeah it's like I have the code that I follow when I'm trying to

get money from Wall Street but I also have the code that I follow whenever I'm

talking to somebody who makes less than twenty thousand dollars a year yeah like

I have different I'm a completely new person whenever these things happen but

I it just switches depending on the the situation and by the way final outrage

on Paul Ryan out of a career of outrageous he's trying to get a one-time

increase in the number of people who can come from Ireland in immigration this

year yeah why is that because he's Irish because he's Irish and this is the one

thing I'm asking for this year guys it's like let's triple the number of people

coming from the home country here and what would happen if that new

congressman from Minnesota you know the Somali Muslim one yeah yeah

was to say you know what guys can we just also increase the Somali Muslim

number for just one year just in honor of all of my good work people would lose

their damn head yeah and let's be honest no Irish need apply I don't know why we

would even allow more of the menu here the don't you see what they're doing

already building our bridges and our skyscrapers we're out of the building

business we're in the service economy now we don't know if you know this but

infrastructure isn't a problem anymore no Irish need to come in

the mines are closing the infrastructure is not a problem we don't need we're

good on we're good on bridges and highways unless unless we send him

straight to Idaho because we know the one thing NATO's potatoes that's all I'm

saying just send them there yeah Chuck and Nancy are not gonna do shit for you

if you had some faith that somehow Nancy getting the mantle of speaker back would

also give her a spine I hope that the this week has broken you of that

assumption because it will not she will not and Chuck is not even the majority

leader so he's got now but that doesn't the other thing that annoyed the fuck

out of me about Chuck was when when Trump was boasting about how he how he

added seats in the Senate and Chuck Schumer was just like yeah by winning

seats in North Dakota and I Indiana good job like this is like yeah everyone who

follows this understands that all the seats that were up were mostly

Republican yeah heavy Republican seats and it was gonna be tough to to make any

headway in the Senate but at the same time like when you're just like actively

throwing out like you know like well I wasn't expecting to win in Idaho or in

Indiana and North Dakota it makes you sound like you don't give a shit about

the people who live in North Dakota Indiana by the way the minority leader

of the Senate and the Speaker of the House are both coastal elites Democrats

can we give some thought to this at all can't the next speaker be someone from I

don't know Missouri or Kansas just let's find somebody right am I wrong about

that like let's find somebody who actually represents the middle of

America because you know what Mitch McConnell is from Kentucky mmm he

doesn't represent the middle America is a rich coastal elite but he looks like

he represents Kentucky and I can't remember Paul Ryan's Wisconsin yes so

he's from Wisconsin again middle America they can't we find somebody like that

and just put them in even in the leadership let's get Steny out and put

somebody else in his whip by the way I would like to drop one last thing on you

before okay we go here first Iowa poll for 2020 yes are you ready to hear the

Democrats and the percentages all right uh camel law and Corey Booker

in the list all right yep okay go ahead well would you like to do this gamestyle

where I mentioned somebody you give me a percentage of favorable or something

like that it's just favorable unfavorable or is there ranking I think

this is oh no this is probably just percentage percentage of the total vote

yeah right all right so I'm gonna yeah let's just let's guess okay I'm gonna go

game style number one number one answer Joe Biden number one answer is Joe Biden

alright number two answer is the senator from Massachusetts

but Elizabeth Warren Elizabeth Wein four ah okay number two uh so looking for to

Cory Booker nope no six mmm so I'll run through them real quick Joe Biden 32%

Bernie Sanders 1930 Sanders yes your beta O'Rourke 11% Elizabeth Warren 8%

wait beta O'Rourke the one-time candidate who lost his statewide race in

Texas not one time he's a he's an active congressman I thought he was a state

legislator West Texas is he yeah yeah all right

even so pretty sure he lost his statewide race in Texas and he's polling

third in Iowa yeah okay Elizabeth Warren eight percent fourth Pamela Harris five

percent Cory Booker four percent oh good Michael Bloomberg three percent no no

you mean Amy Klobuchar three percent Rob Delaney one percent not Rob Delaney who

am I thinking of I don't even know who the fuck Delaney is really I'm thinking

about it sherrod Brown one percent Jerry Brown

sherrod oh okay and one percent for Julian Castro who I think is the first

ones who actually nominate or to say that he's gonna run funny though if you

look back at the same poll in December of 2006

yeah years before before the 2008 election we had john edwards at number

one with 36% mm-hmm Hillary Clinton's second was 16% Barack Obama with third

with 13% and Tom Vilsack at fourth with 11% so don't

necessarily count on these things as the so what you're saying is NATO and Obama

were at the same place two years years ago mm-hmm but the problem here's the

thing though with everyone on that list let's just say that was the acceptable

list of people that you could choose from

yeah - beep written to be the Democratic candidate the I spend so much time just

saying no to these people yeah Biden no Sanders no they know no Warren

no Harris maybe Booker maybe Bloomberg absolutely not he's not even a

democratic load char no Delaney I don't even know who the fuck you are sherrod

Brown no like I've said no to 90% of this list so far the only people I've

even thought about is Corey Harrison and Pamela or comel Harris and Cory Booker

yeah it's not even like and I'm not even wild about those two yeses I think that

it's just I felt like I needed to say yes to somebody I am NOT about those who

yes is because by the way if you nominate Cory Booker he will lose to

Donald Trump yes Donald Trump will beat him and I know it sucks to say but we

need to be a little less idealistic and say that a one-term senator might not

work a second time around I don't I think that you need to have somebody

with a little more experience but you know what who shouldn't be that Joe

Biden Hillary Clinton yeah neither of them a nominee either I think that or

Bernie Sanders for that matter I owe what I think the Democrats really need

and I think this is why people were like fascinated by the idea of avenatti

becoming president for a while there yeah is that like what the Democrats

really at the end of the day need is somebody who does exactly what I said

earlier with Chuck Schumer just like whenever Trump says some sort of

nonsense bullshit just quietly under their branches going like why do you all

see how fucking lie all the time this is like who on that list of all those

people is gonna do that none of them none of them maybe maybe Cory Booker

maybe maybe but he's only done it in a safe space though I haven't yeah him do

it like you want to do it during like a debater

right that like there's no way there's no way and you're in front of his his

committee meeting yeah and he knows that if he goes too far the chair is gonna

shut him down right you know it's safe yeah I just any who you know who should

be on that list maybe though just quickly yeah Jerry Brown you know now I

I hate the idea of saying it but story came out this week he turned a twenty

five billion dollar deficit into a sixteen billion dollar surplus now he's

basically the face of the new deficit equality what city is that Los Angeles

on Hollis but he turned to twenty five billion dollar deficit to a sixteen

billion dollar surplus people are saying that like he's not Clintonesque but he's

a deficit Hawk Lake Clinton where he's making tough decisions in order to move

the budget in the right direction and we've been talking about take your

medicine mayors in Baltimore take your medicine governors in Maryland

maybe it's time for a take your medicine president who knows he's gonna be

unpopular but you know fix some of the things Jerry Brown could be president

and it not cast anything over what he's done in his career yeah I think the the

Jerry Brown running for president thing has happened too many times to for him

to actively do it yeah maybe even though I don't imagine that most people

remember that how many times he's run for president I mean he ran in the 70s

and 80s right yeah and then you ran against Clinton when only 92 92 yeah

beat him in 92 yeah and be fired place who was third place in Iowa

yeah and they ended up winning the presidency Clinton right comeback kid

yeah Jesus Christ anything maybe baito is the one did

badly know his voice I think Beto's as far as like a charming

person to put on the top of the ticket like I I get the these shades of Obama

that you get from bado but at the same time like Obama at the very least you

could say you know constitutional law professor yes like you know that a civil

rights activist and Community Builder and like there there were things that he

was doing that we're building up to the his one senator like where he needed to

have an office just to show that he had an office

for when he ran for president yeah if he didn't have to do that he probably

wouldn't ever have been senator to begin with as ApS Martin Luther King jr.

probably could have run for president at some point never would have thought that

that was possible yeah in 1968 but could have run for

president in the mid 70s let's say how do you mean again though probably would

have done what Obama did and run run for a Senate seat in Mississippi oh yeah or

something like that first just to say look I know how to run I have a title

yeah you're about to give me twenty million dollars to run for president

I've had two million dollars and run a campaign for Senate and I successfully

did that yeah I know how to put good election people around me I'm not just a

mouthpiece to talk right right right and that was Obama he was also I mean

constitutional law professors and help I like that and people should say hey do

you understand the Constitution cuz that should be a prerequisite for being

president United States but very well Michael Chaney Michael J on Weekend

Update this week that was pretty funny anyway if anyone should know the laws

that should probably be the president you think although Nixon and Trump

reverse old so is that another mentality is president laws don't apply yeah

thanks

yeah but a Jerry Brown there was it was I like Jerry Brown and don't like Jerry

Brown on the same exact time sometimes I feel like state of California is like

the current medical profession like the current state of health care okay and

the way that like there's new advancements that are happening all the

time and like there's record profits and everything like that and as far as like

the business goes it's wonderful there's no way you can say that the

pharmaceutical business isn't rolling right now right but then if you look at

the shady underside of it you say like alright but we're also at a point where

more people who need medication can't get it that ever before in history

because they're being priced out of it if you don't have insurance there's not

a chance that you're gonna get these medications even if you do have

insurance and really good insurance if you have cancer or something like that

you might spend ten thousand dollars a month on the medication that you need

even with your insurance covering part of the cost of the deductible and stuff

like that it's like in some California has been doing amazing and

like by the numbers like you say like goes from a $25 25 billion dollar

deficit to a 16 billion dollar surplus how can you argue with those results but

at the same time there's also like the in the in these most recent vintage of

Jerry Brown as governor there's been record waste yeah there's been

incredible waste there's been more lawsuits than ever and every single

thing that ever has to get passed in California has to go through five or six

rounds of lawsuits from that is no special special natural herbs and stuff

like that yes but I know but I mean like I'm just saying like we we've it's like

you look at the numbers and you there's no way you can say that that he wasn't

successful and that he didn't do good but at the same time it's open the door

for things that are going to be our undoing in the long run

maybe because if nothing could get done because it costs 20 times what it's

supposed to cost because every single time you have to fight ten lawsuits then

there's no point and like that that part needs to change as the whole whole

beginning ended of that whole discussion alternative theory Jerry don't run for

president get involved in the Cal exit Tony you could be the first President of

the Republic of California or the People's Republic of California

depending on how things go wouldn't it be funny if he if he like the day he

steps out and just like hands over the keys to Gavin Newsome he's just like and

so colleagues and everybody you guys want to throw over this Gavin ooze

nobody seems to like this Gavin Newsom guy very much anyone wanna throw over

throw them everything you ever throw people from all across California who

usually are arguing and bickering with themselves or just like Jerry Brown I

think that Jerry can lead the Cal exit because yes Gavin we need to have a

state governor to lead the transition to be our public right and hand over the

keys so the irony Theresa May and our braixen the irony of Braun giving him

the keys of the governor's mansion and then later Gavin Newsome giving him

those keys back to the California Republic's white house I think that's

good I think it's a it's a nice bookends and it makes sense to me Jerry Brown by

the way somebody somebody fucking really came at me what

breaks it when I talked about colleagues at once and I'd like to bring up a very

important part imagine if instead of brexit it was britain and germany and

france and like every single country that basically is responsible for

Europe's success yeah like if you took every the top ten best performing

countries and then that was the exit you were doing yes those countries were

leaving everyone else like Greece and in Italy they get the second day in the EU

yeah and then people would start saying like oh that's really fucking bad for

the EU that's the thing with calyx are you because California is the sixth

largest economy in the world and the United States by themselves is the fifth

so including California no no second second I'm sorry second this is the

second California by yourself is the sixth yeah so what percentage of that

second does California make up a lot of it right most of it taxes is gonna be

fine yeah New York but the problem with cal

exit is then Texas who by the way in their state constitution has an out from

the US Constitution only state to have that don't know if you're aware of that

learn that now Paso then does Texas look at and say you know what maybe we should

start talking about this because now we're the one supporting the 48th

greece's and Italy's who can't get their shit together right we're more worried

about who's going into bathrooms then building up their economy yeah North

Carolina I'm looking at you what they have four versions of that bathroom bill

and electoral fraud in the very next election yeah good job good job focusing

on the right things anyway I have to go ice my leg hurts a lot I need a smoke

but if you're looking if you're looking to find more great ideas people who

should run for president you know where you should go where's that oh the anthem

static shot yes long takes yeah can people expect an update while you are at

This is Channel Aid 2018! - Duration: 3:33.

Channel Aid is our Youtube channel for good causes

with a focus on music and we generate donations for children, teenagers and people with disabilities

The special thing about Channel Aid is that everyone can help.

No matter if young or old. Whether poor or rich. It is free of charge to support Channel Aid.

So of course the question arises: "How does it work?

We monetized our videos via the YouTube platform.

Watching videos on YouTube is free and through the advertising revenue we generate money for the good purpose.

You don't spend your own money and you donate and that is simply the core massage that needs to be understood,

because everyone can click on a video because it doesn't cost anything and then end up children and teenagers being able to help is exactly what we need.

At Channel Aid we work with many influencers and YouTube-Creators with whom we use their reach for more than just product placements.

It is very important for us to show the Online-World that cohesion is at the top of the list.

The perfect example is our remake of the well-known charity song "We are the World" by Michael Jackson,

where we met with 30 YouTube-Creators in Los Angeles to re-record it.

It was important to us to show the world that all creators, no matter where they come from,

can work hand in hand to generate money for the good cause.

And with that we have shown that the Online-World has definitely understood social responsibility.

With our self-initiated project "Chance to Dance" we make it possible for people with disabilities to dance.

This is very important to be able to integrate these people into life,

because these dance courses increase concentration,

they optimize body control

and they prevent Alzheimer's

It is of course very important for us to be able to help there.

I am glad to be a part of Chance to Dance!

On top we support the Laureus - Sport for good and Right to Play.

Both organisations are very active in relation to children and young people in relation to sport and education.

For us at Channel Aid it is of course also important to look beyond the country's borders

and to support our own regional project to be able to help outside Germany as well.

Of course our own charity concert series called "Channel Aid - Live in Concert" is also important to us.

There we try to bring YouTube stars together with big world stars.

Mostly in locations where you wouldn't suspect these artists.

In January 2018, superstar Rita Ora, opened the concert at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.

Shortly thereafter followed by the German superstar CRO.

he special thing is that we stream these concerts live on Channel Aid on the one hand

and on the other hand make the songs available on demand on our channel to be able to generate money for the good cause again.

Now we need your support!

Subscribe to this channel, watch our videos,

because it is exactly what this channel needs to generate donations for children and teenagers and people with disabilities.

It is free of charge and worth it!
