What?

There are a couple of comfortable...

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of

Home Invasion Season 2 with Pepperfry.

So today, I am standing outside the house of Yasmin Karachiwala.

Aur jaise ki aapko pata hi hai, she's Bollywood's go-to Pilates instructor.

I've heard that her house is as slick as she is.

So, I am very excited to check it out.

Are you guys ready? Let's go!

Hello! Hello! How are you? You look so nice.

What's up, what's up? How are you doing?

I am good. How are you?

Good, good. It will shut by itself.

Of course it will.

Come. Of course, this is your house.

I feel like I have walked into, like a hotel suite.

Yeh toh bahut hi badiya hai, Yasmin.

Thank you! Very very nice

Shall we sit somewhere?

Where should we sit? There's so much space.

Should we sit here? We can sit there also.

Actually let's sit on the dining table.

On the dining table we'll sit?

This is why your dining table exists.

I have to tell you this is definitely one of the

most modern houses I've seen in Bombay.

So, how do you even start designing a space like that?

Kaafi detailing.

You know, I really, really like open spaces and if you look around

like there are pieces but everything is really open and comfortable.

I like colors and I like to play with them.

My interior designer has worked with me for a really long time.

He knows I like it open

like now my boys are teenagers

but they still come and lounge on the sofas,

put their feet up

and I allow them to do everything because it's a home, right?

And they should be comfortable here.

And the pieces I pick up, when and as I like them.

You'll see pieces like that in the house.

Even like the frame, my painting.

And you don't want to put it like, just for the heck of it. Exactly.

When I saw this, it was like...

Okay, I like the mystery around it. I like something about it.

And it really stands out, I love it.

So when you're designing a space like this,

are you the only person making all the decisions?

So it's really funny when you ask that

because when I actually went to pick up the sofas,

my husband was busy and he was like, "You go choose it"

and I was like, 'Yes'! It was my opportunity to buy white.

My husband cannot believe I put white sofas in the house.

Because I am sure it is hard to maintain.

And I have always wanted white sofas.

And when the sofas came in and they were white,

he just didn't know what to say...

but it was too late because they came from Italy.

And they look wonderful.

It's fitted wonderfully into a very comfortable and open house.

I love it.

It was quite bold having 2 boys

and the third one being my husband to put white sofas.

Someone's gotta do it and of course its you.

It's working, yeah.

But if you had to tell me in one word...

What is your overall vibe of this house,

what would that be?

So I designed the house, right?

And I know what my vibe is.

Let me ask you, what you think the vibe is?

Ah! My god this has backfired.

No, I think the vibe is very open. It's very contemporary.

And like it's very clean.

It's contemporary and comfortable, and that's what I did.

Okay, so do you have a special spot in this beautiful house?

The first one's my bedroom. Would you like to see it?

Of course, is it this one?

No, actually it's downstairs.

You have a downstairs?

Yasmin just... Okay, let's go downstairs.

Okay. C'mon.

So this is where I spend a lot of my time in my bedroom.

We only actually go up when we're entertaining.

That's the bedroom.

That is amazing and also, these stairs are crazy.

No, my kids used to run down these stairs.

Maybe I should come to them for some lessons then.

Never.

This is one of my favorite spots in the house.

I can see why. It is beautiful. I really love the setup.

Hai na? It's from Pepperfry.

And I also really like your room, ya. It's so like nice vibe.

I love to chill in my room.

Tum kitna hi matlab chill?

I am pretty sure your version of chilling is like, I don't know, like

planking or something.

This, is how you laze, in your room.

Okay, but seriously though, where do you workout in your house?

Actually I workout on the terrace. Do you want to see?

Absolutely, should we go see?

Will you workout with me?

I don't... I don't think I can.

I thought you were going to say, "Ya, ya. I will and all".

What is this laziness?

C'mon, let's go see what I can make you do.

I love the view from your entire house.

Let me show you the terrace.

Very excited to see terraces in Bombay.

Arey waah!

This is really nice ya.

Thank you.

Do you have lots of like New Year party plans here?

Ya, we always do something on New Year's

and every Saturday my friends just come over to hang as well.

Of course, if this is your terrace, will they not?

So this is actually very, very nostalgic for me

because I started my journey...

The second phase of my journey from my terrace.

I had converted this area into a little studio,

when I felt like my living room was bursting with people.

And this was my goal.

This was like my dream to have this gym on my terrace

and I converted it and I used to have people coming and

working out and it was a very, very cool vibe.

And then I started getting more and more people

and the place was suddenly again bursting and we had to move.

And now I have this really swanky studio.

This place is like you know, every time I sit here I think of that studio

and how I started my journey. So it's very nostalgic.

And look how far you've come. It's fab.

So I love that...

I know that you love working out.

So, I actually do have a very fun challenge for you.

Are you ready?

I am ready, are you?

Means, it's not for me. This is for you.

Okay and for you.

I just... We're doing a challenge, let's go.

Come on.

Chalo, chalo, chalo.

We'll go?

Okay, here we are. What is this?

This is a trampoline.

Have you ever been on a trampoline?

I have never been on a trampoline.

Okay.

Let me just hold your hands, step up, carefully.

And then I am going to step up and just bounce.

Okay, this is not...This is not bad.

And when you feel comfortable, you jump.

So are you ready...

For some, 'Would You Rather' questions?

I am ready!

Wow!

Would you rather, never sweat while working out

or never feel sore after a workout?

Never sweat.

Would you rather, have a huge balcony in a tiny apartment

or a huge apartment but with no balcony?

Hmm... Difficult.

Huge apartment with no balcony.

Bombay. You gots to.

Okay.

Would you rather, have strong arms and weak legs

or strong legs and weak arms?

Very difficult to answer your questions because you're asking me things I have all of.

Of course, you are the perfect 10, Yasmin.

No, no.

Strong legs, weak arms.

Strong legs, weak arms. Oh, interesting.

Okay.

Would you rather, delete Instagram or delete Netflix?

Instagram.

Really?

Ya!

I love Netflix.

Would you rather, never stay in on a Friday night

or never leave the bed on a Friday night?

Never stay in on a Friday night.

Are you a party person?

Totally.

Lovely.

Okay. Would you rather, be able to talk to animals

or read people's minds?

Read people's minds.

Obviously.

Would you rather, eat one bite of food having maximum nutrition

or one plate of food having minimum nutrition?

One bite.

Health is first.

Okay.

Would you rather, always talk in rhymes

or sign instead of speak?

Sign.

Really?

Yup.

Okay.

Would you rather, never have breakfast again

or never workout again?

I think I know the answer.

'Cause you don't eat breakfast.

Never have breakfast again.

I have a last one.

Would you rather, never have chocolate again

or never have ice cream again?

Ice-cream.

Okay.

And with that I am done.

Yeh thappad bhi padd sakta tha mujhe.

Okay, this is it for another episode

of Home Invasion Season 2 with Pepperfry.

I feel like this is going to go on for a while.

So, okay bye.

Did you have fun, Yasmin?

Worst air quality in the south this season _ 122018 - Duration: 1:50.

Now we turn to Michelle Park for the latest weather updates.

Michelle, we've been under thick layers of dusty air for the whole week now,... any signs

of fresh air?

Daniel, we'll have to bare with it for a couple of days more as we are experiencing an unseasonably

mild winter.

In fact, the southern regions are being under the worst air conditions this winter, and

currently being issued with ultra-fine dust advisories.

The dusty conditions will carry on in the nation.

Although Jeju Island will get some rain tomorrow, highs will rise into the teens along with

Beijing and Tokyo.

The morning temperatures aren't too bad either,...about 4 to 6 degrees warmer than the norms.

Seoul will begin at 1 degree Celsius, Gwangju 4, while Busan and Jeju are a lot warmer at

8 and 11 degrees, respectively.

The daytime high in Seoul tops 9 degrees, while most other regions will even see the

highs in the mid-teens.

The mercury will remain this warm throughout the weekend.

And as we approach Christmas next week,...the dust will start to clear as we get the cold

weather back into the nation.

I'll leave you with the latest weather updates from around the world.

Visiting a New Outdoor Store Near Me at Wonderland Gear Exchange - Break Room Balladeer EP11 - Duration: 9:54.

Hey everybody this is Jeremiah Craig

coming at you from Wonderland Gear Exchange

a brand new store

that just opened up here in Ballard in Seattle.

So let's get to talking with Ben and Nate the owners.

This is going to be an awesome episode.

I'm so excited to share this with you guys.

You guys just opened up two days ago

on Saturday December 8th.

And you said it was a great opening day.

Yeah it was pretty thrilling.

This is really a first time venture for both Nate and me

and I think any small business owner

can relate to finally putting yourself out there

and just seeing like you know are people gonna like it?

Are they going to resonate with what we're trying to do?

And to have a few hundred folks come in throughout the day

and seeming to be like really excited

about what's going on here

and providing some really positive feedback

was just a really meaningful and special thing.

It's as if everyone thought

and like wanted this to exist but never told anyone

and now that it's here it's all that people want to talk about.

I don't know.

You know when we ask people if they come to the register,

How'd you hear about the shop?

Well I saw a post on Facebook

and someone at work talked to me about it and my neighbor

that is astounding that folks are talking.

That's the best. I mean word of mouth is

the best kind of marketing any business can hope for.

So we're just excited that folks in the neighborhood and around

Seattle wanna talk about our shop.

What was the deciding factor that you guys should go

into business with each other?

sure so Ben has had the idea

to open up this kind of store for quite some time.

Because I was used to in Colorado

there being shops like this a place

where the outdoor community can come buy and sell used gear.

And that was kind of quirky and kind of weird

but fun and useful.

And when I moved to Seattle I didn't find anything like this.

So just sort of sat on the idea

and when I came here a couple of years ago

he'd mention it, we'd talk about it a little

but you know both of us had different jobs going on

and eventually we were leaving

We're out on a back country ski trip last winter in Idaho.

We had a ton of time to kill in the car.

Ten hours both ways to fill the space.

But on that car ride, Nate asked like well

what would this actually look like?

And after that we were like well

If it doesn't exist maybe it's a bad idea.

Like maybe people have tried it and it just shouldn't work here.

So let's figure out why.

And once we know why we'll walk away.

from February all the way through to August

kind of researching and talking to people

we couldn't find a good answer

as to why couldn't work.

So we decided to take the plunge.

Yeah here we are, we got a shop

where people are buying and consigning every day.

What about when you had to get

those initial consignment folks interested.

How did you go about

Trying to find them and convincing them

to use you to sell their gear?

We're fortunate in that we had a good friend

who runs a similar type shop out in Colorado

so we definitely consulted with him kind of about you know

just how the general business would go.

And we figured the only way to test if it can work

is to try to create a small version of the shop

so we set up several pop up events at breweries this summer

where we used our limited Facebook

reach the brewery posting about our event

to generate a little bit of interest.

And folks who saw the post showed up with gear to consign

and you know we sort of I think proved the concept

in a small way.

And from there, had the confidence

to definitely go forward

with finding a space and signing a lease.

So you had this step... you had the pop ups

and now the actual physical location

Yeah yeah. I mean it's you know

we are applying sort of typical startup mentalities.

You know the Lean Startup concept

to this brick and mortar business

where test the minimum viable product

to figure out what customers actually want

and how they're going to participate with your idea

and by proving that through those brewery pop up events

we're able to transition to a full time brick and mortar.

That is a really cool strategy.

How do you select the gear that you consign from folks?

The easy one liner is that we want to be like a year

round REI garage.

So it's the kind of outdoor products

that you'd see in a store like an REI or Ascent outdoors.

We choose brands

that are usually represented in that industry

and then we make sure that things are clean

that they're in good working order.

We do have to turn things away if no longer have a usable life

left in them where we get a little bit more flexible

in some of the apparel we've brought in some cool

sort of vintage 30-40 year old outdoor gear and equipment

that maybe isn't the most technical piece anymore

but does have some neat heritage to it.

I think people get excited about those

are some Marmot fleece pants on the wall

that are I think 40 years old that I wouldn't want to wear

because it feels like a Brillo pad.

But it's like a like a cool part of the way

the outdoor industry developed.

So we've been selling some like old one piece ski suits

that have sort of a vintage or retro appeal.

So and that's the stuff

that makes shopping in a place like this fun.

What are you most looking forward

to as this business grows?

I think it's seeing just how it can evolve.

There are definitely opportunities that Ben and I

are excited about.

Hopefully we can you know at some point in the future

maybe add a service component or you know repair components

to this store just furthering the mission

to keep gear out of landfill

and making sports more accessible.

I think in the short term what I'm looking forward to most

is starting to build a team in Wonderland

to be able to start hiring some folks

because it's just Nate and me right now.

You know we've got a small team together.

But I think we're both really excited to start

to start growing that pretty quickly.

There's so many ways that things can grow from here.

I don't know if I can pick just one

but it'll be exciting to see see what can come together.

Alright. Here's the song that I wrote for the occasion.

Christmas UFO. A Merry Christmas from We Are IF. - Duration: 7:24.

Its that time of year egg nog flows turkey is consumed and gifts exchanged.

The world of the ufology and space has its festive side so let's take a look at a couple

of Christmas stories To get you in that yule time spirit.

As a distant war was intensifying and the city of New Orleans was slowly recovering

from a hurricane's devastation, ten days before Christmas 1965, the National Aeronautics and

Space Administration got an early holiday present: astronauts Walter M. "Wally" Schirra

Jr. and Thomas P. Stafford, aboard Gemini 6, rendezvoused in space with Gemini 7, piloted

by Frank Borman and Jim Lovell.

Welcome to if videos on mystery and history hit that subscribe button and ring that so

you never miss a video again The Gemini 6 rocket had been sent into orbit

several days after Gemini 7.

Schirra and Stafford maneuvered the capsule to within a few feet of their sister ship

for the first, historic, prearranged meeting in space.

Schirra the capsules main pilot eased his craft away, and the crews settled in for a

short nap.

The maneuver showed the most exacting pilot moves and computer control of a space vehicle

that had been attempted.

Its success showed those at Mission Control that it could link two vehicles in space.

Just before Stafford and Schirra followed the planned schedule and needed to reenter

Earth's atmosphere on December 16, the pair reported they had sighted some sort of UFO.

Schirra recounted the moment when Stafford contacted Mission Control in Schirra's Space,

diary he wrote:

"We have an object, looks like a satellite going from north to south, probably in polar

orbit....

Looks like he might be going to re-enter soon....

You just might let me pick up that thing....

I see a command module and eight smaller modules in front.

The pilot of the command module is wearing a red suit."

This when ground controller heard the, both familiar and otherworldly, melody of "Jingle

Bells," played on a harmonica backed by—what else?—miniature sleigh bells.

Today that harmonica, a tiny, four-hole, eight-note Little Lady model made by Hohner, along with

the five small bells, the kind that might be found on Santa's sleigh, can be found

on display in a gallery on the second floor of the Smithsonian National Air and Space

Museum.

The quirky artifacts, which Schirra and Stafford donated in 1967, these also included a display

of the personal items these astronauts had taken with them

into space, along with such standard-issue gear as long underwear and survival knives.

According to curator Margaret A. Weitekamp, the harmonica and bells were the first musical

instruments ever played in space.

Making Jingle bells the first song to have ever been played in space, live music from

space represented a giant leap for the performing arts, not to mention Santa's public relations.

Well that is if ET doesn't also celebrate Christmas?

In the early days of space exploration, there wasn't much room for personal items, though

each astronaut was permitted to take a handful of their most valued trinkets, most commonly

these consisting of small souvenirs the astronauts wanted to bring back as presents.

"I think people are fascinated by the detail and textures of what people have taken into

space," Weitekamp said.

"We want to remind the public that these cramped quarters were the workplaces of these men.

They wanted to personalize their workplaces just as others personalize their offices and

cubicles."

Reminds me Yondo and his collection in the Guardians movie.

Music, was not new to space.

Mission Control had routinely played recorded songs to wake up astronauts.

The Santa Claus plot had been put together weeks before the Gemini 6 mission.

Stafford recalled "Wally came up with the idea,"

"He could play the harmonica, and we practiced two or three times before we took off, but

of course we didn't tell the guys on the ground....We never considered singing, since I couldn't

carry a tune in a bushelbasket."

"I could hear the voices at Mission Control getting tense," Stafford adds, "when I talked

about sighting something else up there with us.

Then, after we finished the song, [Mission Control's] Elliot See relaxed and just said,

'You're too much.'"

Another Christmas story begins on Christmas Eve and brought some celestial magic to hundreds

of people across Germany.

witnesses reported seeing between one and three glowing orbs in the night sky, these

orbs had tails described as white, red, or green, depending on the location of the person

who was observing.

These witnesses were convinced they were seeing a UFO or, given the time of year and color

scheme, was it Santa and his sleigh.

the mysterious objects' identity did however come to light from the compiling of the eyewitness

reports: What they saw was something a little less

festive than Santa's sleigh The large object they spotted broke into several

smaller pieces, each with its own tail streaking out into an individual arc across the sky.

This pattern is something that is seen when objects are re-entering Earth's atmosphere

from orbit, the tails coming from them burning up as they cut through the atmosphere.

First suggestions from experts said they had seen either a meteorite or orbital debris,

as space junk.

These strange Christmas lights were eventually identified as pieces of spaceflight history.

A Soyuz rocket.

Royal Observatory of Belgium, issued a statement saying "The fireball observed above Belgium,

the Netherlands, France and Germany on December 24 around 17h30 was the re-entry of the third

stage of the Soyuz rocket that transported the Dutch astronaut André Kuipers to the

[International Space Station]."

Or could they be covering for the guy in red keeping his secret providing an alternate

explanation so Santa could deliver his gifts on time.

UFO Sightings over the Christmas period usually rise, so get in on the action and watch the

skies.....who knows we might spot a guy in a red suit.

A merry Christmas and happy New Year to you all

U.S. special envoy on N. Korea visits DMZ to witness reduced military tensions - Duration: 1:58.

The U.S. special envoy for North Korea was at the demilitarized zone today,... to see

for himself how much the border area has changed since Seoul and Pyeongyang started reducing

military tensions there.

Throughout his four-day visit to the nation,... Stephen Biegun will also meet with local officials

to discuss various matters related to the regime.

Here's Park Hee-jun with the details.

U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun has visited the truce village

of Panmunjeom for the first time.

According to an official at Seoul's foreign ministry,... he went to see first-hand what

the two Koreas have done to disarm the Joint Security Area, as agreed at their summit in

September.

Panmunjeom is often used for diplomacy between the U.S. and North Korea,... but Biegun did

not meet with any North Koreans this time.

The ministry official also says that later in the evening, Biegun is scheduled to attend

a brief bilateral meeting and dinner banquet with his South Korean counterpart, special

representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs Lee Do-hoon.

Biegun's fifth visit to Seoul comes amid a months-long stalemate in denuclearization

talks between Pyeongyang and Washington.

And with his visit comes an apparent gesture of goodwill,... showing that the U.S. is still

committed to dialogue.

Upon his arrival in Korea on Wednesday,... Biegun said the U.S. will review its policy

on humanitarian aid for North Korea.

And, he said, it will also consider allowing American citizens to travel to the North...

to participate in and monitor the aid programs.

On Friday,... the U.S. and South Korea will hold the second meeting of their working group

on North Korea.

The agenda will include denuclearization and various issues concerning inter-Korean cooperation

projects.

That includes the ceremony slated for December 26th... in which the two Koreas will symbolically

break ground on work to reconnect their railways and roads.

One issue there is the possibility the event could violate sanctions.

Also on Friday, Biegun will stop by the Blue House and the Unification Ministry.
