you can download it from our website. there's notes, resources, It's a Blu-ray player.

If you go to festivalofthespokennerd.com places you can go. It's a disc which is definitely both digital and, indeed, versatile.

you can just buy the digital download and that is HD. If you look at any of the images in the show and think, "I wonder

Download it straight away and watch it in, mm, delicious high resolution. "what their copyright is?" We've got all the references and copyright notices. There's the copyright notice. We probably shouldn't be filming this screen.

You can buy the physical thing, of course.

That's on both Festival Of The Spoken Nerd and on Maths Gear. We have also printed, I guess, the cover. But what harm can come of that?

Plus, we do a lot of live shows. We do live shows all around the UK. We put a lot of effort in. We were very pleased with this. Splash screen.

Occasionally, we do shows in the US and internationally. We printed it at the highest quality we possibly could.

It's hard to organise, but it is a lot of fun. Look at that resolution!

That is a great thing about doing a live show. That's the great thing about printing something. That's the great thing about watching a DVD.

You get to enjoy it in the maximum conceivable resolution. You get to enjoy it at very high resolution. You get to enjoy every pixel individually.

Now, I'm going to put this aside for a second.

If you go back to the main menu, you can see some other features. I'll put this back in here because we've got some great options here.

Wow! Look at all those options! Wow! Look at all those options! Wow! Look at all those options!

My favourite is probably the gravity wave one where Steve... My favourite was Adventures In Tiling. My favourite is the pi-endulum

I can't! This is a mess!

You should not have picked to watch the DVD feature in the DVD feature!

It's not my fault. I'm the top level! No, this is your fault.

You're the next one down. I will not take the blame.

I can't believe this. This ridiculousness is because you clicked on that...

I really hate it when those two fight.

So, as well as all the options that you have here, all the chapters. If we go back to the main menu, we have some other options you can enjoy. If we go back to the main menu, we can see what else there is.

If we go right back up again there are different audio options. There are subtitles We've got, oh, DVD Extras.

So if you go into the bottom right-hand corner, in the bottom left-hand corner there. Let's check those out — DVD Extras menu.

you can choose what audio you want to put over the top. If you don't like listening to things, you can turn on and off subtitles,

Of course, if you download it in the full HD quality, you can watch that. There's the DVD unboxing video. We've already seen that. The plural was false advertising.

No, don't. If we play that... No, that's...!

Welcome to the Festival Of The Spoken Nerd...

This has officially gone too far.

This is not going well.

Well, what did I expect?

Yeah. I've only got myself to blame.

Forgotten Realms Lore - Orcs - Duration: 6:29.

Hello everybody Jorphdan here the PH is silent.

Welcome back to Forgotten Realms explained, today I'd like to talk about Orcs.

Orcs are found in most fantasy genres and it is no different with Dungeons & Dragons.

So today's video we'll dive into the lore and history of this monstrous race!

Orcs are not native to Toril.

They were brought to Faerun through portals from other planes or worlds.

I couldn't find any information on their home world.

It is likely that at this point not even the Orcs remember where they came from.

The first migration occured many many thousands of years ago through portals built by the

creator races.

They were possibly brought over as a slave workforce but the feral orcs proved difficult

to tame.

They became busy with infighting and warring against one another.

Thousands of years later the in fighting continued despite the fall of the creator races.

Other races such as elves paid little attention to this savage race.

It wasn't until -3800 DR that the orcs of the North finally coalesced into strong tribes.

200 years after that occurred orc leaders started to appear, orc leaders that could

organize this violent hoard to attack the other races.

It was in -3605 that the first orc invasion occured attacking the Netheril and destroying

much of their towns and villages until a combined effort from the Netherese and the Elves turned

them back.

The creator races were not the only ones to open portals, bringing Orcs to Faerun.

In -1081 some Mulhorandi wizards opened a portal to the Orc's homeworld and out poured

thousands.

This started the Orcgate Wars and is considered the single greatest time of havoc inflicted

on Faerun by the orc race.

The orc clerics had an ability to call upon direct avatars of their deities.

Which they used to overwhelm their enemies.

The Mulhorand and Unther also called upon avatars in a Battle of the Gods that scarred

the land.

The Untheric pantheon was slain by the avatars of the orc gods, but eventually the combined

efforts of the Untheric and Mulhorandi forces were able to defeat the orc deities.

They were finally stopped in -1069 DR resulting in orcs migrating everywhere across Faerun.

Orcs are aggressive humanoids that live in tribes.

They will band together with other Orcs, and goblins, even trolls and ogres to hunt and

conquer.

They believe they must expand their territory in order to survive.

This puts them in a near constant state of war with the other races of Faerun as they

battle over land.

Warfare infuses every aspect of orc society.

They raid and attack, and during the downtime they train, and build weapons.

Often found dwelling in caves as they are more easily defendable and Orcs are not one

to build towns, living instead in nomadic tent villages.

It is however common for Orcs to live in a ruined fortress they have taken over, either

through force or happenstance.

Woman in Orc society are looked poorly upon, despite the fact they can fight and kill just

as readily as male orcs.

Most female orcs that garner respect have become shamans or spell casters.

Preying on the fear the males have of this unknown art.

Slavery is also common in Orc Tribes, due to the poor treatment of slaves most do not

survive very long.

Orcs aren't invested in keeping them useful and healthy.

The Orc deity Gruumsh fought the elven deity Corellon and lost his eye in the battle.

Orcs don't openly admit this occured, however Gruumsh does have one eye and is known as

the unblinking god of destruction.

Because of this insulting battle orcs hate elves most of all and will kill them on sight.

Gruumsh demands his followers to Raid, Kill, and Conquer.

As well as gather and breed to increase their numbers.

It is possibly this calling that is strongest in Orc nature, resulting in Orcs successfully

breeding with a number of creatures.

Dwarves, Humans and possibly other creatures that result in generically named Half-Orcs, but

Ogres have bred with Orcs creating monsters known as Ogrillons.

Because of their half breed nature Half-Orcs are usually smarter than regular Orcs and

have the potential to become chieftains in Orc society.

Leading a horde of orcs against their enemies.

Half-Orcs could really be part of either world, staying within Orc tribes or rejecting that

evil nature and attempting to fit in with civilized society.

It's an uphill battle when interacting with other races.

Most are quick to assume the orcish blood carries with it aggression, savagery and cruelty.

Orcs may rip out an eye to become more in tune with their deity Gruumsh.

This often occurs as a sacrifice when presenting and offering of a dead elf.

Removing the eye can grant the Orc spellcasting abilities and special favor with Gruumsh.

There are plenty of subraces of orcs but here are some of the main ones.

Mountain Orcs are the most common orc subrace and the first to come through the portals

of the Creator Races.

They can be found throughout most of Faerun but the majority of them are in the North

and the Spine of the World.

They can be 7 feet tall or more and have bestial heads with red eyes.

All mountain orcs share a savage vision of destroying the civilized world and inheriting

it for orc kind.

But despite this the greatest hurdle they face is their inability to band together.

Too much infighting between the tribes.

The Gray Orcs come from the Mulhorandi portals and spread out from that area.

They are of the eastern lands concentrated around the moonsea and endless wastes.

They are vicious and evil but lack the Mountain Orc drive to enslave and conquer.

They are nomads who travel migratory routes between established campsites.

They stay in small-ish tribes of 30-50 and will war with other gray orcs for resources.

They view other orc tribes with jealousy and suspicion.

The Orog or Deep Orc are the underdark variants of orcs.

They look similar to a large mountain orc but their ears are larger and their eyes are

huge and pale.

They have actually learned to craft armor from the strange ores found in the Underdark

and will wear full plate mail and other armor.

Descended from a tribe of orcs that made their way to the Underdark, the world below hardened

and shaped them into killing machines.

Although living in the Underdark for generations they have pushed back to the surface and have

taken positions of leadership within Mountain Orc tribes.

Smarter, stronger, and more deadly than your average Orc they stepped into a role of leadership

quickly and easily.

And that's it for today!

I want to play a one-eyed orc cleric of Gruumsh.

I'm trying to figure out how that would work, if I'd give myself disadvantage on

perception checks.

It would be a different style of cleric, maybe the War Domain to melee it up in battle.

What Is The Meaning Of Being Human? | The #WednesdayWisdom Show - Duration: 13:20.

It's the Wednesday wisdom show and you want to know what is the meaning of Being Human?

I don't think we can start with just jumping in and answering the question about what it

means to be human without looking at what's going on for all of us right now, because

what's happening is connected to what a human is, what human is supposed to be and its meaning.

Now we're seeing things happening in the world that are extremely worrying.

their puzzling.

they're threatening... think about it.

We're seeing in North America and in Europe a complete breakdown of the institutions of

our society.

Money is not really working.

We're not working... meaning, you know, the employment situation is extremely bad especially

in Europe and tenuous even in North America.

Politically, we're at this huge conflict point where we have ideas of the left and the right

that are completely contradictory and yet within themselves are basically aiming at

what we think Humanity should be, what it means to be a human, how humans should live...

what human should care about, what kind of a society should be built.

And you have on the left you've got the idea that things should be borderless that care

should extend to everyone, that the state, the government.

society itself should care for everyone and everything.

And yet we know that it's not in our nature to actually be able to carry any of those

things out except by force... by oppression, because we haven't developed to the point

where we have feelings like that.

We're basically looking out for ourselves because that's our basic nature and nothing...

not political correctness not even force of society, not even going to jai...l none of

those things are going to make us actually care enough for the people around us, for

the whole of society, that we are going to put their interest first.

Not going to happen, because we haven't evolved to that.

Then you have it on the right that there should be some integrity of human experience... that

the individual is valuable, that we can do good for all and do good for ourselves at

the same time, that we need to protect the things that are around us and first make sure

that our garden is is okay and then expand out from there...

Also true and good and a correct principle.

But we can't do that either because there are forces, larger forces that are working

on us in the world... even forces in nature that seem to be pressing on us.

This is a very strange time.

The speed of the change that we find ourselves in it is incredible.

The acceleration within a few short years...

I would say it's from 2008 say until now that's at least in our awareness, the acceleration

of problems has been exponential.

We went from things being kind of okay and traveling along a certain line and then all

of a sudden all the rules changed... but we don't know what the new rules are.

Nature is reacting.

We have tsunamis.

We got incredible hurricanes.

We have earthquakes...

We've got this idea and fear of global warming, the sense that we are quickly moving to a

kind of cataclysmic state.

OK now pull back.

In the middle of all this is what it means to be human.

Because all of these things that are happening to us...Why are they happening?

What's causing them, where are they trying to aim us?

What is it trying to get us to do?

What does it have to do with being human?

Everything that we have been doing up until now has been moving along a certain line.

We've been developing according to a certain principle and the usefulness of that principal

ended, it's no longer functioning.

Likewise, nothing that we've been doing is still functioning.

The world ended in 1995.

According to the Zohar that's the year in which everything flipped in the development

of humanity and we already entered a new state a kind of a post-human post material state...

and yet we're living as though that hadn't happened.

We're in a better place than we ever were but we're not living that because we don't

know the rules.

We don't understand the kind of desires that exist there.

We seem to be looking at a precipice but there really is something there... except we're

not living it.

We got echoes leading up to it through prosthesis, you know, technology... that kind of gave

a fore-echo of what the issue is...

The internet... anything you digitize and put on the Internet is either 1 or a 0 and

it's not located in any particular place... it's there virtually and it belongs to anybody,

and it can't really, ultimately be protected because everybody's in the same room.

The entire population of people with the technology are in that room and they basically have access

to it.

It's hidden by a few tricks, a few turns, a few doors... but they're all in the same

place because we're all in the same place because what happened is that we moved into

a virtual, non-material way of living... and what we don't understand is how do we sense

ourselves?

What guides us?

Where is the structure and all of this?

The structure and what nature is demanding of us and what it has accelerated us to...

so that we can at least feel that we must make the change...

otherwise we'd stay asleep forever.

It pushed us to this point so that we can begin to feel that our attitude towards others

and our identification with others is the key.

It doesn't depend on what we own.

It depends on what we feel and why we feel it.

We're in a completely integral reality where what I'm saying to you is something you already

know, it's already in your heart and shared across everyone who's listening to this.

So here we are on a precipice, and it seems like there's nothing there... but there is...

except we cannot perceive it because the nature of our own desires make that invisible.

There's a whole new set of desires that exist in that new form of life, that post-human

post-material life that we are going to.

What does it mean to be human according to Kabbalah?

It means to make that leap from the intelligent animal into the spiritual level of desire

which is called the speaking level... speaking level of life.

And tat means that we need to be able feel clearly the fact that we are ingerally dependant

on

the integral system of others, and we know that we will give to that.

In other words we will have developed the kind of intention and desire that will act

that way out of free will.

All we need now in order to make that bridge and to become fully human and reach... make

that leap and reach the speaking level is we need education.

We need to learn about how we are connected integrally.

It's a state in which we actually live for each other...

Imagine that... the reason we do things... is in order to fulfill others, everyone...

the joy that we feel in life... is a bout others... we move from the quantity of life

to the qualty of life...

Our work will be to help others.

You know, we actually do that already now.

Everything that we do in our daily lives is actually coerced by the system of nature to

serve everybody else... but in our minds we limit where we see it go, we limit where we

see things come from.

We're holding on to a world that's already disappeared.

That's where nature is taking us, that's where we're being evolve to and it's not trying

to hurt us it's trying to "herd" us, trying to get us to feel the need to actually live

in this new better State.

We need the time to learn this to feel it to get used to it and even though it seems

completely irrational and that we will never be able to do this... that's the thing about

stages of development... even as a child you suddenly grew and knew, and put together things

that you never could feel before and you understood it!

You were able to talk!

You were able to understand something about it a game, something that you wanted to know...

That's how we grow... this is on the big scale.

Some will get this very directly, if they're close to it now they'll work in it.

They will educate other people about it.

And some will just feel that... well that's what happened!

Where in the new season, things are working a little differently... and everyone will

benefit from it.

To be human means to agree with where nature is taking us and it means to actively work

in order to help all of us go through this transition.

How To Make Apple Cranberry Crisp - Apple Cranberry Crumble Recipes - Duration: 5:22.

what's up everybody this is Lyle no hippie BBQ what I mean making today is

going to be some apple cranberry crisp this recipe was inspired by a website by

the name of Julie's eats and treats i'ma leave a link to that website in the

description below so you could take a look at all the good stuff she's cooking

up out there this is a very simple recipe why don't you guys come on in and

take a look at the ingredients for apple crumble recipe I do want to let

you know that I will have the ingredients and the mounts in the

description below as well as a link to Julie's website so you could take a look

at the original recipe so first thing we're starting off with this some apples

that have been diced up I happen to be using a Honey Crisp apple we have some

fresh cranberries and we're just gonna go ahead and add these right on in some

fresh lime juice white sugar and this is fresh vanilla I believe she used vanilla

extract so I'm using a little bit more than what her recipe was calling for and

we're just gonna mix this together we're gonna let this sit for five minutes I'm

go ahead and set this aside and we'll start working on the other part of this apple crisp

recipe now the next part of this recipe is what we're gonna actually top this

with so what I have here is in her recipe she used regular flour I happen

to have a little bit of hippie flour around here this happens to be coconut

flour we're gonna go ahead and add that in we have some brown sugar some oats

and then we have our cinnamon and then we have butter that's been it's not

melted this cool and now we're just gonna go ahead and work this in let me

get that cranberry out of there

so now we have this incorporated in and one thing that I will suggest I did use

cold butter with this I think maybe warming it up just a little bit would

actually work a little bit better and one thing that you're trying to do is

get all that powder from the flour and the sugar kind of mixed in to where it's

kind of clumping like it is now our next step is just going to be to go ahead and

get our apple cranberry crisp set up so let's go ahead and start with that I've already filled

up three of these with the apple and cranberry mixture

I have those sprayed down with some butter spray so we're now we're just

going to go ahead and fill them once we have them filled we're just going to add

our brown sugar butter mixture on top

and I have this on a sheet pan with some foil and I know that this is probably

going to boil over bubble over a little bit so that's why I have the foil down

there and once I'm done adding this it's going to go in the oven at 375 degrees

we're going to three five to 45 minutes so we're gonna go ahead and go for 45

minutes on this just came out of the oven after being in there for 45 minutes

I'm gonna go ahead and let him cool off then we'll get into them see what the apple crumble

taste like

so that right there is a rap looks good let's get in see what's up

I think I have some thoughts let me get in one more time

okay

this right here is tasty what I might do though man I would double up that so I'm

gonna leave the original recipe in the description below

one thing I'm going to say I would do would be to add like maybe a teaspoon of

salt and then I would double up on that on

the crumble recipe so the recipe I have in the description double that up

because that is probably the best part about this cranberries I'm gonna back

those off a little bit just really depends on how tart you like things

overall I'm diggin it so before I get into this next bite I'd like to thank

you guys for stopping by no hippie BBQ Apple Crisp Recipe

Paid vs. Organic Mobile App Marketing - How To Combine The Two - Duration: 3:16.

This ASKyH episode, we're going to be talking mobile marketing strategies and

how your app can benefit from both paid and organic campaigns working side by side.

- Hey, that's my part!

- Cue the intro!

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the first-ever co-hosted episode of ASKyH.

I'm Mike. - And I'm Merav. You're probably confused as to why there are two of us and why

one is significantly better looking than the other. - Thanks, Merav, I always thought of myself

as closer to average. - I was talking about... you know what, never mind. To make this

easier, I'm going to be representing the paid side of campaigns, while Mike here

will be speaking about organic.

When speaking about organic app marketing,

we mainly look at aspects within ASO, like search visibility, conversion

optimization, localization and a/b testing.

On the paid side, there are

various platforms we can advertise on. Google's Universal App Campaigns combine

all of Google's advertising platforms, including Search, Display, AdMob, YouTube

and Google Play. Then we have social media, with a plethora of advertising

opportunities. We've got Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn...

and we always have the option of media buying. It's unexplored territory for

advertisers and also gives us the ability to track installs and buy media

directly from app developers, targeting the right users at the right moment.

We've been asked countless times, "what kind of impact do paid campaigns have on

my organic traffic?" Let's try think of it this way... your app

is like a store on the street and the people who walk by your store and come

in will be your organic traffic. - Now that you have a store, you want to promote it

and get more people to hear about it, so you advertise. These ads will reach a

larger audience and, in turn, drive more foot traffic to your store. These people

who see your ads and then go to your store will be your paid traffic. - So how exactly

are you helping me out with anything? - I'm kind of surprised you made it this far

to be honest. - I meant in terms of traffic. - Oh, well, with your audience building

thanks to me... I mean, paid campaigns... people will

recognize your store while they're walking on the street and come in

because of the hype it's been getting. This correlation in the

marketing world is called the K-factor. - The K-factor! Ah, she beat me to it. Getting quality

installs from these paid sources can be viewed as high customer satisfaction by

the app stores, causing your app to become more

predominant in the stores and, in turn, can result in higher keyword rankings, category

positions, featuring and other areas, leading to even more visibility and organic impressions.

I'll admit it, he has some positive effect on me as well, as hard

as it is to imagine, I know. - That's right, I do help! With conversion optimization

at the helm, we can help lower CPIs. Thanks to our graphical asset geniuses,

we convert more users at a higher rate. Both organic and paid traffic benefit

from this, and when users convert better, you're paying less for them.

Basically, when it comes down to it, you really need both of us to have a really good

marketing strategy that will increase your app's exposure and boost your installs.

- That's all the time we have for today, guys. If you want to know more, feel

free to shoot us questions in the comments below - or check out our blog in

the link over here. - Once again, I'm Mike - and I'm Merav, - and we'll see you next time

on ASKyH!
