9/11 Cleanup Workers Are Dying From Diseases Related To Cleanup Efforts - Duration: 7:03.

The number of people who had developed cancer and other respiratory illnesses following

the attacks of 9/11, is almost at 10,000.

These include people who lived in the area, first responders and other people who were

in the general vicinity when the twin towers came down.

Luckily there is a fund that has been set up to help compensate the people who've developed

these illnesses, these 9/11 related illnesses.

And I have Scott Hardy from Top Class Actions with me now to explain how that works.

Scott, this is actually something, you know, we have so many first responders.

In fact, we recently had another several of them, I think three or four, pass away from

illnesses that they got as a result of their exposure to the debris from 9/11.

And a lot of people who may have just even been working in the area, visiting the area

when the attacks took place, they have developed illnesses and diseases as well.

They may not understand that they are also entitled to what is available in this compensation

fund.

So tell us a little about this fund and how this works.

Sure.

Thanks Farron.

The compensation for this is interesting, because it compensates any victims who were

in the area for almost a year after the terrorist attack.

Because you had a lot of people that on the day of the attack you had volunteers, law

enforcement, first responders that were there and then after the attack of course, you for

months and months, you had cleanup efforts.

But you also had people who lived nearby.

You had people that were visiting.

You had people that were working in the effort to actually clean up the site of that horrific

terrorist act and now we're finding years and years after the event that people are

developing cancer.

And the cancers are widespread and varied.

Everything from skin cancer to bone cancer, to blood cancers to bladder or prostate, organ,

other types of cancers, lymphomas that could be directly connected to all of the hazardous

waste that happened as a byproduct of that terrorist incident in the horrible attack

on 9/11.

And so you've got thousands and thousands of people out there every year.

Now that are actually developing these cancers and that may not know as you mentioned, that

they can actually put a claim forward to get part of this seven plus billion dollars that's

been set aside for victims of 9/11.

And so it's, it's interesting when you're going through this, and even though 9/11 was

so many years ago, as we all know, cancer is a very slow acting illness and as we are

aging and as these first responders are aging and other people that just happen to live

nearby and suffer the consequences of that horrible day, we're seeing more and more people

affected by 9/11 related cancers and illnesses.

And they had initially closed this compensation fund.

I believe in about 2004.

But then several years later is when, I guess they had the realization that, oh, sometimes

it takes, you know, 10 years, sometimes it takes 20 years for these specific illnesses

to emerge.

And people have to understand, you know, there's a lot of what can be toxic components that

go into construction.

Especially when it explodes, when it catches fire.

There was plenty of asbestos that was put into the air in that immediate area as a result

of those towers falling down.

So we're also dealing with, in addition to the cancers you mentioned, future cases of

Mesothelioma.

You know, these are horrifying illnesses for which many of them there is no cure at all

and people may not even know at this point that they have that developing in their body.

So what should people who may have been exposed to any of this, what do they need to do now

to make sure that they are protected themselves?

Well, if you have cancer, if you were in the area, if you were actually in New York during

that timeframe and you're in the area of the World Trade Center, you want to make sure

that your, you know, you're getting your checkups.

That if you get a diagnosis of cancer, that you submit your claim through the fund and

you can do that through topclassactions.com.

You can find the lawyers that we work with.

It's actually a simplified process because you know, you're not filing a lawsuit, you're

not filing a class action.

All you're doing is saying, I'm sick, I need help and here's my information.

The lawyers will work with you to get your doctor's records, submit the information to

the fund and get you paid and get your family paid because you have a lot of young people

that are in their 40's and 50's now, which should be otherwise very healthy, but all

of a sudden they're getting these surprise diagnosis of cancer.

And you know, you've got families.

There was a family that was, had both a mother and a father that died and left these kids

who were just infants and very young when the terrorist event happened and now they're

teenagers or just starting college and they've lost both parents and it's, it's horrible.

But thankfully, you know, this fund was created so that the families who are impacted by it

and you know, any family member that's sick with almost any cancer, whether it's an organ

cancer, bone cancer, you definitely want to speak with an attorney, go onto top class

actions.com.

Submit your for the 9/11 related illnesses and see if you qualify.

Because as you mentioned, there's more than $7,000,000,000 in this fund.

It's an easy process to go through.

You submit your information, you submit your paperwork, showing that you know you're actually

sick or your family member is sick and you'll be able to get paid in a relatively short

timeframe once that's verified.

So it's highly recommended.

Don't miss out because this fund will not be open forever.

I know that there are talks of closing it within a few years and hopefully that won't

happen.

Hopefully they'll make sure that they extend it, because a lot of people who aren't sick

right now could very well get sick within the next number of years.

Absolutely, and if anybody needs any more information on this, there is a link to Top

Class Actions in the description of this video.

It will give you the information you need and direct you where you need to go.

Scott Hardy, thank you very much for telling us this story today.

Thank you Farron.

Quais são os tipos de músicas mais populares no JAPÃO e no BRASIL? | Vivs Responde #5 • VivianUru - Duration: 4:59.

Hey guys, genki?

This is Vivian from vivian uru channel and welcome! ^^

Today we are going to do another Ask Vivs!

YAY!

Today's question is from our friend Arthur Cruz kun who asked this question:

"If there will be more videos of differences of Brazil & Japan,,

I'd like to know the differences between Brazilian and Japanese music.

What kind of rhythms are popular over there?"

If you haven't watched the 5 differences video that Arthur kun mentioned,,

the link will be on the description box and cards, okay?

A big kiss to Arthur kun,

thank you so much for your question and for always helping me on Amino sharing my work!

If you also could help me by subscribing to the channel,

giving this video a thumb up, commenting here or sharing the videos,,

I'd thank you for the bottom of my heart!

Many people tell me this channel has a future and deserves to have more subscribers

but I need you all to make it happen,

so, I'm counting on each one of you doing whatever you can to help, okay?

Are you ready to know the answer? Here comes the intro!

Well, on my 1st Q&A video,,

HBTN Games made a similar question asking:

"What kind of music is popular in Japan?"

I'll leave the link of this video in the description box and cards in case you want to check the other questions too.

But answering Arthur kun,,

Brazilian and Japanese are different indeed,,

In my opinion, the biggest difference is that when it comes to Brazilian music,, no matter what genre it is,,

the rhythm is more dancing than the Japanese music and more sensual too.

If you just look at how the people dance,, you can notice the difference of rhythms.

In Japan,, not only the tradicional but also the contemporary dances,,

you can see many dances where the moves are more focused on the hands. Like this.

As for Brazil,, it's usually the hip and feet.

Talking now about the most popular rhythms,,

Which is the most popular music genre in Brazil and Japan in your opinion?

According to the research of the site Cultura nas Capitais,,

the music genres that Brazilian people listen to the most are:

1. Sertanejo (similar to country) = 37%

2. MPB (Brazilian popular music) = 27%,

3. Gospel = 21%,

5. Rock = 20%,

Pagode and Pop got the 5th place with 17% each.

Funk, Rap and Sertanejo are the most popular genres among young people.

While other genres, Sertanejo and MPB are the most popular among the elderly people.

The albums that sold the most in Brazil in 2016 were:

1st. Sambas de Enredo - Escolas de Samba,

2nd. 1977 - Luan Santana,

3rd. Cabaré Night Club - Leonardo & Eduardo Costa,

4th. Como Sempre Feito Nunca - Jorge & Mateus

And 5th. Deus no Esconderijo do Verso ao vivo - Priest Fábio de Melo.

As for Japan,, according to the polls of the site Nifty,,

the genres that shinned were:

1. J-Pop = 42,6%,

2. Kayoukyoku (Japanese classic pop of the Shouwa era) = 34,6%,

3. Classic music = 31,8%,

4. Jazz = 22,4%,

and the 5th place was Rock with 21,3%.

Young Japanese people enjoy to listen to J-Pop, J-Rock and Anime music,,

while the elderly loves to listen to Kayoukyoku, Classic music and Jazz.

The albums that sold the most in Japan last year were:

1st. Finally - Amuro Namie,

2nd. Smap 25 Years - Smap,

3rd. 『untitled』- Arashi,

4th. Thumbnail - AKB48,

and the 5th place was the album Encore - Back Number.

Except Back Number that is J-Rock,, all the other artists are J-Pop and 3 of them are boy bands or idols groups!

Both Brazilian and Japanese people tend to listen to national music.

But how about you? Which genre of music do you enjoy to listen to the most?

Let me know in the comment section! ^^

That's all for today's video!

Thank you so much for watching and I hope to see you on the next video, okay? ;D

Big kisses and mata ne~! <3

Advice For Marketing Students Looking For A Career In The Industry | How To Become A Marketer - Duration: 5:09.

Hey guys this is Adrienne. I'm senior marketing manager here at Hiilite and

today I want to talk to students out there actually I want to give some tips

from my own experience. If you're a marketing student and you're looking to

break into the industry I have a few things to share with you. The first

thing that I find really important is that it is super helpful to start

learning real-world skills now. Your education is fantastic it's giving you a

ton of information and a whole bunch of theoretical knowledge and it's the

foundation that you're going to need going forward into your career. But

there's a whole bunch of tools that we use in the industry that are constantly

changing that you should become familiar with because they're things you will be

using in your everyday career things like Google Analytics and AdWords

basically any Google platform in the digital world Google is king so anything

you can learn about those systems now there's tons of resources for you to

dive into. For Google there's something called Google Academy if you

literally google 'Google Academy' you'll find all the resources that you need to

start learning: how to use analytics, how to use Adwords, it's how to use the

business listing platform. There's a ton of tools just dive into it start

figuring it out, start learning and getting an understanding because it's

definitely something that you will use in your career as a marketer that you're

not necessarily going to be taught about or taught how to use when you're in

school. The other one is Facebook. So most of us are familiar with Facebook.

Facebook is not the only social platform but for paid advertising Facebook's ad

platform is definitely one of the monsters especially since they acquired

Instagram and now people are advertising through Instagram so these are the types

of tools and platforms that you want to familiarize yourself and learn how to

use. Once again there's a lot of resources Facebook blueprint is a course

that you can take online for free to learn all about Facebook advertising and

how to actually implement those types of strategies I want to put links to these

resources down below so that you guys can check them out. Again it's just

really good to get the practical skills under your belt and combine that with

the theoretical knowledge that you're getting in school. So the

second thing I found really useful and it's gonna sound cliche because you hear

it all the time as a student but it's: networking and getting yourself out

there and meeting people getting involved. It's not enough today to stand

out in a competitive job market place to just have finished your education so

what are some of the things that you can do for those extracurriculars that look

really really good to potential employers? For marketing students or for

any business student one is: competitions. Chances are you have business case

competitions or student groups that are involved in competitions. I learned

presentation skills, I learned how to work under pressure, I learned how to be

able to speak in front of an audience. All of these things I found really

really useful and helpful. Alright my last tip is going to be when you're

going out and you're talking to those future employers and you've probably

heard this before so it's not new information but as a person who's now on

the other side of the table looking through resumes and looking at people to

hire it's really important that you not only highlight your skillset and what

you can do and what you can bring to the table but position it as how that is

going to help the company. If I am your interviewer or I am your potential

employer how are you going to help me? What are my needs? What do we learn as

marketing students? Who's our audience? How do we speak to our audience? What is

the needs of the target audience? How can we position our product or service

to show that it's going to fulfill those needs. Do the same thing in a job

interview what do I need from you? What does the position require? How is the

company going to benefit? How are you going to fill those gaps instead of

focusing on you know 'I can do this' ask questions, ask what the company needs,

ask what they want from that position and then tell them how you think you can

fill that role. OK guys I hope you found that helpful. If there's anything else

you'd like to know more about, if you have any questions, if you want to reach

out to me directly just comment down below and let's connect I'm totally

stoked to be available in any way that you

find helpful. If you've got questions let me know and thanks so much for

watching. This series was filmed at Hiilite Creative Group studio in

Kelowna, British Columbia and is made with the help of our creative team. If
