Popsockets Review: More Than Meets The Eye - Duration: 4:05.
If you've been watching my videos for a while now,
you'll know that I have a love for compact devices.
The main reason for that should be obvious,
I like wearing super tight pants.
I like the feeling of being able to use my phone one-handed without worrying that I might
drop my phone.
But there is no denying that having a bigger screen is pretty nice too.
So this is where this little accessory comes in.
A friend of mine got a couple of these, and he gave me one to try out.
After using it for over a week, I think it's actually a pretty interesting accessory,
so I thought I'll make a video about it.
The idea behind it is dead simple.
I stick this to the back of my phone, and when I want to use it, just pop it out.
Now I have a little handle that I can hold onto between my fingers.
Even when I'm walking or jogging.
Because of this handle, I don't have to grip the phone with my palm.
This really frees up my thumb to be able to reach more parts of the screen,
and I still have a good grip on the phone.
Need to take a selfie?
This makes it easier.
Need to capture a photo from a hard to reach area?
This makes it less likely to drop your phone.
Need to capture an image in a moving car?
Yeah.
Don't be this guy.
For me the best part is actually when I'm lying in bed.
A big phone like this is a pain to use even with both hands, and I really do mean pain.
This is the thing I hate most about using a big phone.
So it's actually quite surprising how much difference it makes with just a little handle
on the back.
And that's not all.
Want to watch a movie or do a video call?
Pop it out, and use it as a kickstand.
Earphones tangling while you're jogging?
Pop it out, and wind the cables around the handle.
Need a holder in your car?
Just get a tiny clip like this, and you can easily mount it in your car.
You can even get a bit creative and mount it wherever you want to.
When I'm at home, I just leave it up like this almost all the time,
so it's super easy to just grab the phone and start using it.
For a simple accessory like this,
it's surprisingly useful and multi-purpose.
But to me the most important thing is durability.
Because the last thing I want,
is to end up with a damaged phone due to an accessory malfunctioning.
So I've twisted it around, popped it in and out repeatedly like a fidget toy,
tried to yank on it with force, and it stays pretty secure.
But one downside is that it doesn't really stick to all surfaces, so for the Moto X Pure,
I actually have to stick it on the case instead.
The adhesive is actually reusable, which is awesome for someone like me who changes phones
pretty frequently.
To take it out, just pry from the sides.
If it gets a bit dusty, just rinse it with water and let it dry for like 10 minutes.
I tested this multiple times, and it really does work.
While reading up on the product,
they did mention not to leave it unattached to a surface for too long,
because the adhesive will lose its sticking power, so do take note.
I know this is probably not the nicest looking thing to have sticking out of your phone.
Even when collapsed, it still adds a significant thickness to the phone.
But it really does provide more grip, and that could be the thing that saves you from
a broken phone.
You even get a few additional uses out of it too, so it's not a bad tradeoff to me.
I know there are other products out there that does almost the same thing,
but I do find Popsocket's implementation a little more user friendly.
It also adds a bit more personality by allowing customisations from their website if you want to.
So is this enough to make me switch to a big phone full time?
It's tempting,
but probably not.
But not because the Popsocket isn't useful,
because it is.
While I don't really wear super tight pants,
I still prefer to have a less bulky phone in my pocket if I can.
Also while I do have more grip, it's still a stretch to reach some areas on the screen.
But I do have the Moto X Pure that I'm using as a secondary phone,
and that is a pretty big phone.
So this Popsocket is going to be sticking around.
It just makes using the phone so much easier.

What Is An Empath?
An empath is a person who has the ability to feel the emotional state of another individual.
There are many different types of empaths, however, Heyoka empaths may be the most spiritually
attuned of them all.
What Is Empathy?
The ability to understand the feelings and experiences of others through their perspectives
is known as empathy.
Empaths are those who are always affected by other's people energies and they are
the only ones who can truly understand what others feel.
Empathy requires deep intuition.
It is something more than just being sensitive.
It requires you to be able to feel the physical sensitivity and spiritual urges of others
and to determine their intentions and motivations.
You cannot become an empath, because it is an innate quality.
Empathic people are extremely sensitive and they can physically experience the other people's
pain and even manifest symptoms of their illnesses.
They are also subjected to unexplained aches, pains and chronic fatigue.
The gift of being an empath is commonly misunderstood and that's why many empaths are often labeled
as hypochondriacs, since they frequently get ill.
They have an exceptional ability to peer into other people's thoughts in order to determine
their intentions.
They can also read the body language of others, which empowers them to understand what other
people are going through.
There are different levels of being an empath.
The highest one is called Heyoka.
What is a Heyoka?
It is a Native American word which means ″a fool″ or a ″sacred clown″.
This term is mostly used to refer to those people who are ″emotional mirrors″ to
others.
Heyoka-empaths highlight the weaknesses and faults of others and at the same time show
them how to deal with their flaws.
They are either born breech or have dyslexia – (ability to think backwards).
Moreover, they look younger than their real age.
These people usually receive adverse reactions for their gifts.
However, these reactions generally aim at something good.
Heyokas always have good intentions and their primary motive is to help those around them.
If you feel unhappy or angry after having spent some time with a Heyoka person it is
probably because they have been highlighting those qualities in you.
On the other hand, if you feel loved and if you had a sense of acceptance after being
with Heyokas, it indicates that they wanted you to accept and love yourself for who you
are.
Heyokas are your emotional mirror and they are supposed to help you to discover and learn
how to appreciate the part of yourself which you believed it didn't exist.
It seems easy to disregard and run away from this experience, but actually heyokas try
to help you to get control of the problems or weaknesses you are struggling with.
They are guiding you in your journey because they can feel both your pain and joy.
The best way to benefit from this experience is to accept Heyokas with an open heart and
open mind and make sure you use the reflections to build yourself and grow.
The energy of Heyokas is firm and high, and they are beyond the general wisdom.
If you are going through a period when you don't know what do or how you feel, Heyokas
may heal you and help you to overcome that.
So, embrace their gift and use it to grow and become a better person.
What do Heyokas do?
In Native American ceremonies, the Heyoka's role would be to disrupt things in order to
enable people to see things differently.
This kind of empaths uses the energy of the sacred clown to open people's eyes to new
possibilities and different angles on a situation.
They also have the ability to shift the energy of a group through their understanding of
emotions.
Modern day Heyoka Empaths will often say or do something to shift energy and change perceptions.
This allows others to begin to see clearly and heal.
This kind of empath doesn't heal in a conventional way, with crystals, their hands or through
spirits.
Instead, they create the space for others to become more aware of how they are behaving
and thus heal themselves.
Heyoka empaths often heal through chaos and disruption.
This is not always an easy or peaceful healing.
However, it may be necessary for those completely stuck in a way of thinking that does not serve
them.
Because Heyoka are empaths, they understand the emotions of others and are, therefore,
able to provide the healing method suited to the individual's needs.
They might not heal someone completely all at once, however, he or she can lead someone
through the next step on their journey to wholeness.
How do you know if you are a Heyoka?
Traditional signs that you are a Heyoka include being born breech, being dyslexic, being emotionally
unpredictable, doing things backwards, being left-handed and thinking differently to others.
If you can feel other people's emotions and instinctively know what they need to heal,
you may be a Heyoka.
You may also notice that when you have a deep conversation with someone, they often experience
life-changing insights.
Perhaps you help people to heal through humor, or point out the ridiculous nature of a situation,
in which case, you are using Heyoka energy.
If you often find people are surprised or shocked by what you say or do, but then come
round to your way of thinking and are able to move forward in their lives, then you are
most certainly a Heyoka.
