you guys useful kitchen hacks tips and tricks these are things that I learned
over years working at the kitchen and I'm doing two parts this is the part one
and I will soon share with you guys part two knife is one of the most important
tool in the kitchen if you want to maintain the sharpness and the lifespan
of the knife you have to make sure every time you cut something or wash your
knife you have to clean them right away with the paper towel or the kitchen
towel and make sure you do not dish wash them most of the knives are not
dishwasher proof and because of the detergent they get worn out and also once
you finish with the cleaning process you have to put them back where it belongs
like a stand or the knife holder that way you can maintain the lifespan of the
knife and the sharpness to peel a ginger always use a spoon by holding the
head of the spoon and just scoop it from top to bottom this is the easiest way to
peel the ginger instead of using the peeler to get a maximum juice out of the
lemon or the lime u always make sure you massage well on the countertop or any
firm area and then just squeeze out the lemon juice or lime juice in a bowl let
way you get the maximum juice out of it once you're done squeezing out lime juice on
lemon juice do not throw them away this is the best way to clean your cutting
board it's especially wooden board by adding this little bit salt now rub them
nicely on the cutting board both side if you're using both side and then clean it
with paper towel now that once that is done I'm going to add one teaspoon of
olive oil or any oil and then rub it all over your cutting wood this maintains
your cutting board and also seals your cutting board this way you can use this
for a longer period of time to check the freshness of egg fill the pot with water
halfway through and place the eggs that you want to check if the eggs doesn't float and
it's inside the water it's good to go those are fresh but if the egg starts
floating all the way up that has to be discarded immediately because those are
spoiled ones to maintain the freshness of chili
whether it's a green chilli on red chilli snap out the stem from the chiles and
then place them in a ziploc bag and store it at a frigerator this way the
chiles would remain fresh for a longer period of time to store any kind of
greens including spinach kale all the green onions all you have to do is
remove any tribe or rotten ones from the bunch of greens that you would like to
store and then use the kitchen towel that is wet and excess water is squeezed out
you can also use muslin cloth now cover this up and then place it in a plastic
bag or even a ziplock bag this helps to maintain the freshness of
the greens till the next use when you buy avocados there is two ways to check
if it's ripe one is dark green color outside a second way to check is when it
touch the stem on top it will be so soft and movable this way you can find out
avocado even your screen most of the time we buy cream or sauce any kind of
sauce that is used and we have leftover that needs to be refrigerated sometimes
you will see there is a mode that is on the rim of the cap to avoid this use
cling wrap on the mount of the bottle or the container and cover it up
every time you use the sauce or anything that needs to be refrigerated change the
cling wrap that way it maintains the freshness till the expiry date
we need cut okra/ lady's finger your knife tends to get very sticky and
also when cook the vegetable it tends to be very soggy if you want to avoid the
stickiness and also to make the vegetable crispy when you fry them all u have to
do is cut half a lemon and rub it over your life before you cut Okra and go
ahead and cit all okra you will not see any stickiness and okra will be
crispy when you fry them as you see there is no stickiness in my knife the
easiest way to peel the garlic and also separate the garlic from the whole bulb
place it in a glass jar and cover it shake it well for a couple of seconds
and open the lid and see the garlic is separated from the bulb now we will go
ahead remove the garlic peel the same method

garlic is separated from the peel these are few kitchen hacks that I learned over
