These are for those of you looking for some of the best rocker protection that you can

get for your TJ.

Today we are gonna talk through the installation of the step, which I am gonna give a two out

of three wrenches.

This does require drilling some holes directly through the tub of your TJ, so this is going

to be one of those things that once you install, you're not gonna be able to uninstall it.

And it isn't for the faint of heart.

However, if you decide to do this in your driveway, you can probably get it done in

around two hours.

And we will talk more about that installation in just a second.

There are other versions of rocker protection that will mount to the frame via drilling

holes in the frame using self-tapping screws.

There is some rocker protection that will mount to your body bolts, and some of that

can be fairly strong.

However, this is definitely going to be the strongest method of getting rocker protection

on your TJ.

This is going to be nearly impenetrable.

You can drop your TJ off of ledges on the rocks directly under the rocker and know that

you're going to have some great protection that isn't going to cause damage to the tub.

Of course, any damage in that rocker area can push sheet metal up into the doors making

it difficult to open and close them, so really just wreaking havoc.

So having some protection if you're gonna play on the rocks is a good idea.

And this is going to be one of the strongest ways of doing that.

Now this is also available without the step for a few dollars less if you'd rather not

have the step.

And there is also a Extreme HD version of these steps by Barricade that's going to be

slightly heavier gauge material.

That's also going to be a little bit more expensive.

So like I said, these are very heavy-duty.

They're very strong, and they're gonna give you some great protection.

These ones do have the step built into them.

And that does have a stepping plate on top with a couple of holes punched in.

The whole step itself is going to be made out of an eight-inch steel plate material.

The step is going to be a two-inch round .12-inch wall thickness tube.

So even that is going to be very, very strong not just as a step, but also as armor.

As for the install, again, I'm giving it a two out of three wrenches because you're drilling

directly through your body.

This isn't something that you can just take them back off again.

It's not easily reversible.

And you are going to wanna measure once, twice, three times or more before drilling those

holes to make sure you get it right.

So the first step in the installation is really going to be getting rid of any other side

step rocker armor that you might have and also removing those mini flares that are going

to be attached to the side of your Jeep.

Then there are a couple of body bolts that you wanna loosen up.

And this is an area that you will wanna be careful with if you have an older TJ that

you haven't ever removed any body bolts from before.

You can actually spray the top of the body bolts, spray the thread area with a penetrating

oil, get the body bolts loosened up, and then you can actually slide this bottom plate into

position underneath the body bolts between the tub and the frame where it's actually

going to sit.

And that's going to index the rest of your rocker for you.

You can use a jack.

You can use some jack stands, however you need to to make sure that this thing is held

exactly where you want it before marking the holes.

Once the holes are marked, drill a small pilot hole and drill the holes out to the full size

that is necessary.

Of course, make sure on the inside of the jeep, you don't have anything sitting there

that you're gonna drill into.

Using included nut and bolt hardware to attach it to the tub as well as tightening down to

the body bolts once everything is in position, this thing is going to give you some very,

very solid protection.

These rocker guards are gonna run you just south of $200, which I really don't think

is a bad price at all for what you're getting.

This is going to be a two-stage powder coat.

They're going to look good.

They could hold up well.

And most of all, most importantly, they're going to offer some great protection to your

Jeep.

You can get these without the step.

They can be about $35 less expensive.

Or you can step up to the Barricade Extreme HD version of these, which are going to be

a little heavier-duty and also more expensive.

So I think this is a really nice middle-of-the-road option.

So if you're looking for some really solid protection, a rocker guard that mounts in

this fashion to both the body bolts and also directly through the tub is going to be one

of the strongest options out there.

I think this is for those of you who are doing that hardcore wheeling, don't wanna end up

with rocker damage that can also affect your doors.

Jeep Wrangler Barricade Spare Tire Delete w/ License Plate Mount (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 3:10.

This is for those of you who want to delete that factory spare tire carrier off of your

tailgate and also cover up that otherwise unfinished looking vent in the center of your

tailgate once that mount is removed.

Today we're going to talk through the installation of this kit, which is a very simple one out

of three wrench install.

This will bolt on without the need to drill or do any other major modifications in less

than an hour, but we'll talk more about that installation in just a second.

Now, there are a couple different reasons to want to delete your spare tire off of your

tailgate.

One is, those of you who are doing some hardcore off-roading and need the departure angle,

you don't want a big tire hanging off the back or your Jeep.

Others just like the clean look that this provides.

So, if you're going to be leaving the spare tire at home completely, whether you've relocated

it to the inside of the Jeep, or onto the roof rack, this is going to be a kit that

will clean up that tailgate area.

Now, it's important to note that this isn't necessary if you're going to be running a

tub-mounted tire carrier, or a bumper-mounted tire carrier.

This kit is for those of you who are going to completely delete, have that area of the

tailgate visible, have it not covered up, and want to finish it off a little bit.

Now this does come with your license plate mount as well, but this does not give you

a solution for your brake light.

So, you are going to have to consider having a third brake light mounted.

And, if you're going to be removing your license plate from the factory mount and putting it

here, you're also probably going to want to look for a factory license plate block off

kit, which is available.

This is a very simple kit.

It just gets the job done.

It's going to cover up that area, make it look finished off, and give you a place to

mount your license plate in the center of your tailgate.

This is just going to be a steel bracket, textured black powdercoat, that's going to

work.

So, to get this installed, again, is a very simple one out of three wrench installation

that you should be able to get done in under an hour.

The first step is, of course, removing your spare tire and your spare tire bracket, unplugging

your third brake light in the process.

Then there are a couple of clips that you'll have to push down on to remove the plastic

vent cover that's existing on your Jeep.

After that, you'll bolt this plate onto the tailgate with the four outer bolts, leaving

the four inner bolts empty until you put on your license plate carrier.

You'll bolt your license plate onto this license plate mount, and then bolt this section over

top of this plate, using those additional, and last, four factory mounting bolts.

This kit runs right around $60, and in my opinion, that's a pretty fair price.

So, if you're looking to delete the factory spare tire mount off your JK, but you want

to finish off the look of your tailgate, a kit like this is going to do that, as well

as allow you to relocate your license plate to the center of the tailgate.

Jeep Wrangler JKS Front Adjustable Trackbar (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 4:07.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the JKS Front

Adjustable Trackbar, fitting all 2007 and up JKs with one to six inches of lift.

Today, we're going to talk through the installation of this trackbar, which is a very simple one

out of three wrench install.

The whole process shouldn't take you more than an hour to complete.

Going with an adjustable front trackbar on your Jeep is always a good idea when you have

a lift to completely re-center that axle underneath the vehicle.

And going with a much stronger trackbar like this one is going to ensure you're not going

to have any type of flex in the trackbar, which can almost feel like a front end wobble.

Now, this trackbar is going to be a little bit less expensive than some of the others

on the market because it does have factory-style rubber bushings on both ends instead of the

Heim joints on some of the more expensive trackbars.

Those Heims are designed to give you a little bit more articulation than these rubber ones

will, although they're also going to require a little bit more maintenance.

The other aspect of this trackbar that makes it a little less expensive than some of those

others is the fact that you will have to remove one end of this trackbar from its mount in

order to lengthen or shorten it during that adjustment process.

Now, adjusting a trackbar is something you really only do one time, so whether that's

enough of a reason to spend more on a trackbar that has an adjustment collar and is a little

bit easier to adjust is up to you.

This trackbar is going to be very strong and you're not going to get any flex out of it.

This is inch-and-a-half diameter, three-eighths thick DOM tubing that of course is going to

be a lot stronger than your factory trackbar.

As I said before, when you're driving down the road, you have those big tires, there's

a lot of stress on all of your steering linkage, including your trackbar, so you can get a

little bit of flex out of the trackbar which can feel like a wobble when you're sitting

in the vehicle.

Something like this is absolutely not going to flex.

The rubber-style bushings on both ends are going to be near bulletproof.

These are going to hold up really well, although again, you may give up a little tiny bit of

articulation versus a Heim joint on a more expensive trackbar.

Now, if the rest of your suspension is designed for maximum articulation and you feel that

the rubber bushings on this will limit you a little bit, of course go with the version

with the Heim joints.

If you're running a suspension that has mostly factory control arms, chances are this isn't

going to limit anything and you can save a few dollars by going with this option.

This is a very simple installation process.

The whole thing shouldn't take you more than an hour, and I'm definitely going to stick

with one out of three wrenches on this.

All you're going to need to do is remove one side of your factory trackbar, whether you

decide to start on the axle side or on the frame side, then replace that trackbar with

this new one using all of your factory hardware.

Now, the part that may take a few extra minutes is actually getting this adjusted.

Ideally, your axle would sit dead center underneath your Jeep.

You can eyeball it, you can take some measurements, however you need to do it, you're going to

loosen up this jam nut to make this trackbar longer or shorter to adjust where the axle

is sitting underneath your vehicle.

I think this trackbar is incredibly well-built for the price.

This comes in at right around $200.

Now, if you are looking for a trackbar that has some additional features, one that has

an adjustment collar to make it a little bit easier to adjust or one that has a Heim joint

on one or both ends, those are going to be a little bit more expensive.

But if your suspension is set up in a way that you're not going to see a benefit from

those Heim joints and you're okay taking a little bit more time when you adjust this

that first time, I think this is going to be a really good buy.

So if you're looking to upgrade to an adjustable front trackbar that is much stronger than

factory so that you can fully center your front axle and also eliminate any wobble that

you might get from a weak and flexing factory trackbar, I think this is going to be a really

nice option.
