Fight fire with fire

Extra frag

Welcome to Thunder Show!

This Ho-Ri tank got itself in a very bad spot.

The tank suffered a nasty hit, its weapon disabled and an enemy T-62 is approaching fast.

Oh well, i guess the samurai inside decided that discretion is the better part of valor

and hit the gas to circle the enemy around a pile of coal, hoping for their allies to come to their aid.

But soon, the Japanese SPG realises there's no help coming, which gives way for a very funny idea.

Ho-Ri goes for the oldest trick in the book, straight from old cartoons and black & white movies

when the one being chased goes into hiding, while the pursuers keeps on running circles.

The unlucky hunter takes some time to realize that his prey is gone.

The Soviet tank must have thought that Japanese were once more using those stealth generators on their machines

and promptly leaves to find another target elsewhere.

suicidal ape, we thank you for this classic trick well done and send you 5000 Golden Eagles!

Using depth charges properly is not an easy task.

Usually, they are employed to destroy a pursuer in narrow waterways between island.

Others use it for a much riskier tactic.

An unsuspecting enemy is most likely to try and close the distance, to make every shot count up close.

This is just what our hero needs to win, though, as he makes a daring last-moment U-turn,

while dropping depth charges in the water.

The raging enemy berserker can only prepare for the inevitable, as the red bomb icons disappear under his own ship

bringing quick vengeance for his reckless attack.

Der_Thunder is here to show us how it's done! Good one!

Four engine bombers of War Thunders are a tough nut to crack for any lone fighter.

Their natural toughness, coupled with numerous defensive gunners can send pretty much any attacker back to its hangar,

should he stay on the bomber's six for too long.

The pilot of this Messerchmidt knows that all too well,

he also knows his aircraft lacks the sheer firepower to take out the Stirling even in a couple of passes,

that's why he does not bother to fire his MGs and cannons at the foe.

He's got something far deadlier to tackle this target.

A 250kg bomb.

That baby punches a hole clear through the enemy bomber even without exploding,

sending the broken wreck of a plane plummeting down to the ground.

If that's not outside of the box thinking, i don't know what is.

That is a great epic frag esasWT, please, have these Golden Eagles!

What is better for an ack-acker than a downed enemy plane?

Why, of course, it's TWO enemy planes downed! What can beat that, then?

Well, how about if the second frag was a total accident, just like it happened in this video.

Just at the moment, when an enemy Hurricane takes a hit, an enemy Thunderbolt enters the tight stream of 37mm shells,

going down virtually in unison with his ally.

That was a good moment that we could not fit in any of the other categories,

but it can certainly fill in our last spot of the week!

Ясний Сокіл, your reward is inbound, thank you!

Traversing the South Pole: 14 days, 4 people and 750 kilometers - Duration: 3:39.

[ Music ]

[ Music ] Brunt: Fourteen days,

two PistenBullies, four people,

so yeah, 750 kilometers, door to door.

[ wind blowing, music ] Brunt: Recently, we just got back from

Antarctica where we completed about a two-week ground traverse

near the South Pole. We were basically driving PistenBullies,

tracked vehicles similar to the ones that groom your ski areas.

Behind those PistenBullies were 60-foot long

plastic sled trains. And ultimately those trains carried things like our sleeping tents,

fully erected and left standing during the day when we were driving.

Kitchen tent, fuel, generators,

all sorts of cargo-- Neumann: Everything we needed for the trip.

Brunt: And from a both science and survival standpoint.

So this entire traverse was in support of ICESat-2, which will launch

later in the year. Neumann: ICESat-2 is all about elevation, and

the natural question is how you're getting the right answer? This is how we will know. We'll go

out and collect a reference data. We'll be ready to compare and evaluate, see how we're doing.

Radio: 3-1-9 is feeling kind of ready, how you guys doing over there?

Neumann: So the big measurement we were making was to measure the elevation of the ice

sheet surface around our traverse. And we had the two GPS running, one on each vehicle

measuring that elevation. One of the other experiments we were doing is leaving out

what we call corner cube reflectors to get an assessment of the pointing

of ICESat-2. When we make an elevation measurement how are we sure it's in

the right place. So in this picture you can see a bamboo pole with a little

white cap on the end of it. And embedded in that cap, little piece of glass

about as big as your pinky nail and calibrated to return

green laser light from the satellite, bounces off of this thing

and goes right back up to the satellite again. Super reflective. So these things, as

Kelly has demonstrated, show up in data with altimeters

like ICESat-2. When you first get to South Pole, and you're coming from

McMurdo, which is a nice seaside town right at sea level, and South Pole is

what, about 10,000 feet. And yeah, you notice it pretty quickly. The

temperature is a lot colder than in McMurdo. It's probably 30 degrees

40 degrees colder and 10,000 feet higher. Walking from the

camp to where we're putting in an array for example, would be a ten minute walk maybe,

five minutes. A couple of breaks on the way, you know, it's still pretty

high. Brunt: The plan is to repeat this traverse for the

next three years. So four years of data total, and that

would last the mission lifetime--the mission requirement lifetime--

for ICESat-2. Neumann: ICESat-2 has 1,387 orbits

and so it's cruising around the world, and it's got these unique tracks that repeat every

91 days. And all those tracks converge at 88-South, and

so our route crossed, what, twenty percent of them. So we can

calibrate data from twenty percent of our tracks with this

stretch that we drove. And by repeating it every year about the same time

of year, we'll overlap it exactly the same time, but we'll also be able

to figure out what's going on in between. Because we'll measure it in 2017,

and then again in 2018, and you can see how it changes from year to year. So that will be pretty

cool, too. It will quickly become the best-surveyed piece of

either of the ice sheets. [ Music ]

A Video From Robert Mueller's Past Just Resurfaced And Now Everyone Is Asking This One Question. - Duration: 3:28.

A Video From Robert Mueller's Past Just Resurfaced

And Now Everyone Is Asking This One Question.

Robert Mueller is in big trouble.

A video from his past has just resurfaced.

And now everyone is asking this one important question.

Mueller's honesty and integrity as an investigator are being called into question.

Despite his reputation as a squeaky clean lawman, the reality is far grimmer.

In 2003, Mueller testified to Congress supporting the false notion that Saddam Hussein possessed

weapons of mass destruction.

His testimony helped launch the Iraq War.

Trump won the election in part because of his vocal opposition to the war.

Mueller's image as a hyper-competent FBI Director has also been undercut.

In 2001, the FBI – under his watch – bungled the investigation into the post 9 11 anthrax

attacks.

Daniel Ashman wrote in The Federalist:

"Mueller's FBI honed in on Steven Hatfill as the culprit — a "flag-waving" American,

who had served in the Army, then dedicated himself to protecting America from bioterrorist

threats by working in the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases.

There was no direct link from Hatfill to the attacks, by the FBI's own admission, and

the bureau never charged Hatfill.

The FBI did however spy on, follow, and harass him non-stop for years.

The Department of Justice also publicly outed Hatfill as the possible terrorist.

While Hatfill's dignity and life was being trampled on by America's secret police,

Mueller took a stand.

But on a different topic.

He made front page news for threatening President Bush he would resign over NSA policy.

All while his own team was trampling on the rights of an American in the FBI's largest-ever

investigation.

Hatfill successfully sued the government for its unlawful actions.

He won almost $6 million dollars.

After the Hatfill investigation blew up in the FBI's face, they moved on to Bruce Ivins,

another Army researcher who had actually volunteered to help the FBI investigate this case, and

had been doing so for years.

It wasn't until five years after the attack that Mueller's men decided Ivins was a target.

The FBI case against Ivins, once again, was based on circumstantial evidence…

… Ivins was never indicted, just given the Hatfill treatment.

His house was raided, and he was threatened with a death sentence, or as his lawyer put

it, put under "relentless pressure of accusation and innuendo."

He committed suicide."

Mueller's tenure at the FBI was a mess.

Donald Trump has every right to question his honesty, competency, and objectivity.

What do you think about this?
