(calm acoustic music)

If you've had a opportunity to go

to a newly opened Chick-fil-A,

a Chick-fil-A that's opened in the last few years,

then this should look pretty familiar to you.

When we're onboarding new operators,

we bring in about a hundred new owner-operators a year.

They can come here and use these as training kitchens.

This is our place.

It's our safe place for coming and testing out new ideas.

We can simulate food production, we can simulate service,

we can simulate every aspect of the restaurant.

We've also got the world's most advanced drive-through.

Chick-fil-A is the highest volume

drive-through business in the world.

So we do a lot of work, in terms of innovation and design,

focused on this zone of the restaurant.

So let me give a behind-the-scenes look

at what a high volume kitchen looks like.

This Chick-fil-A might actually

look more recognizable to you.

This is our '97 series, and we built a lot of these,

so there are hundreds of them out there.

And you might be asking the question why build a simulator

for a restaurant that you're not building anymore?

Well, when we're doing innovation, it's not enough

that we can put that innovation in a new restaurant.

We also have to be able to extend it

to our existing chain of restaurants,

of which we have about 1,500.

Come in.

So when we're developing new methodologies,

or we're developing new innovations,

we also test them out in here to make sure

they're gonna work in some of our existing restaurants.

Problem with using this building

is we can't put cars in here.

So, just like we have simulated restaurants,

we have simulated cars.

So if you come on a day that we're doing

some drive-through innovation work,

then we have guests who have volunteered

to come in and be a part of our work

actually on these bicycles.

You should come here on a day when we have

about a hundred people on these bikes.

This is how fast we like

to keep the cars moving, by the way.

I'm calibrated on the proper speed.

(calm acoustic music)

I'd like to order the four count strips

with a diet lemonade to drink.

(calm acoustic music)

This is where you would come to pick up the food.

This is where the happiness happens.

One of the things that we like to do

when we're doing one of these simulations,

whether it be a walk-up simulation

or a drive-through simulation,

is equip each of the volunteers who comes in to help us

with a personality for that day.

So some people may be in a bad mood,

some people, this may be their first Chick-fil-A experience,

so they're gonna get stuck at the window

trying to figure out how to order.

We try to simulate every possible scenario

that you could ever imagine,

solve the problem here, in a safe environment,

so that we don't have to solve it out there.

How's that?

Data Science Dojo Alumni - Patrick Cronin - Duration: 1:18.

I was looking for a data science class

to kind of expand my skills my background is in mathematics and I

went to grad school for business so I kind of wanted to like blend those two

worlds and that's where data science kind of nicely fits in. What I really

like about the data science dojo training is that it focuses on that

conceptual foundations that help you actually understand what knobs you're

turning and tuning to actually become a better data scientist. The atmosphere was

in the classroom was very collaborative I specifically appreciate when the

instructors say let's pause for a second this is a very important concept let's

talk about this if there's any confusion let's sort that out now you know

you're not being ostracized if you don't understand a concept it's very inclusive

and collaborative. I would recommend this boot camp for a number of different

reasons it appeals to so many different backgrounds and job types all the way

from the very technical data folks to the project managers or account managers

that may not be so well-versed in data. It gives everyone deep conceptual

understandings of what's actually happening with the data and the

algorithms that are behind these things but then it also does delve into that

the actual tools that data folks and data scientists would use on a day to

day basis and what's actually going on under the hood to match that conceptual

side of things that are truly important to understand how to get the most out of

our models and our predictive analysis

George Peabody - Everything You Need to Know about the "father of modern philanthropy." - Duration: 2:36.

George Peabody was born on February 18, 1795.

He was the main extraordinary present day humanitarian and a standout amongst other

known world figures of the nineteenth century.

Peabody was conceived a poor kid in South Danvers, Massachusetts — a town that would

later change its name to Peabody out of appreciation for its most well known child.

His formal tutoring finished when he was apprenticed, at 11 years old, to the proprietor of a general

store.

There he learned propensities that were to work well for him in later life — how to

manage individuals, to keep accounts, to be dependable and fair.

At the point when Peabody's apprenticeship finished when he was 15, the eager, astute

and bright young fellow set out to look for his fortune.

Amid the following 50 years, he did without a doubt make a fortune, in the best clothes

to newfound wealth custom.

By the age of 17 he was dealing with a store in Georgetown in the District of Columbia,

at 20 he was an accomplice in a discount drygoods business, and when he was 22 he was worth

more than $40,000.

For a long time he directed business in Baltimore, continuously forming into a worldwide dealer

and lender.

After 5 business treks to Europe, in 1837 he chose to settle in London, where he built

up the managing an account place of George Peabody and Company, having some expertise

in outside trade and American securities.

Amid Peabody's numerous years in London he gathered gigantic riches, which, as he neared

retirement, he set out to give away.

Through endowments and heritages he dispersed roughly $9 million to admirable motivation

in the two his local nation and the nation of his living arrangement.

A considerable lot of his philanthropies concerned instruction.

Peabody gave budgetary help to the training of his nephew, O.C.

Swamp, who got his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale in 1860.

It was at Marsh's asking that Peabody gave $150,000 in 1866 to set up Yale's Peabody

Museum of Natural History.

Around the same time, Peabody gave a similar add up to Harvard to establish the Peabody

Museum of Archeology and Ethnology.

George Peabody kicked the bucket in London on November 4, 1869.

His body got the uncommon respect of a brief entombment in Westminster Abbey, and after

that, as per his desires, was conveyed home to America and let go in Peabody, Massachusetts.

Trump Just Forced BIG Celeb's Mom To Stay LOCKED In Her House – All Hell Breaks Loose - Duration: 5:30.

Governor Just Dropped BAD NEWS On Every Disrespectful Kid Who Walked Out Yesterday – That'll

Teach Them!

The Republican Governor of South Carolina Henry McMaster isn't a big supporter of

the "National Walkout Day", which was planned in response to last month's Valentine's

Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

A massacre which left 17 dead, most of which were students.

McMaster told The Greenville News that he felt the event, which took place all across

the country yesterday was "shameful", and a stunt that was carried out by left-wing

groups in this country.

He added that now these groups have sunk to a new low by taking these school children,

and using them to further the agenda of the left.

McMaster went on to say that this was a tricky move which was all orchestrated by a left-wing

group from the information he had seen.

They used these children as a tool to promote their agenda, and instead of using the event

as a memorial or a prayer service it has been turned into a political statement by a radical

group.

But the Governor did have a suggestion for the students.

He suggested that instead of cutting school maybe what they should do is "pray."

Pray for those who lost their lives and the families they left behind.

17-year-old David Hogg, who was a student at the high school until he decided to not

attend classes anymore after the shooting, wasted no time to reply to McMaster's comments

on his verified Twitter account.

He got personal.

Here is more on who was behind yesterday's student walkout via KTLA 5: "Women's March

organizers are encouraging students, teachers and their allies to walk out of schools on

March 14 to protest gun violence.

They're demanding that Congress take legislative action on gun control in the wake of last

week's deadly school shooting in Florida, instead of merely tweeting their thoughts

and prayers.

"Students and staff have the right to teach and learn in an environment free from the

worry of being gunned down in their classrooms or on their way home from school," reads

the group's statement.

"Parents have the right to send their kids to school in the mornings and see them home

alive at the end of the day."

The event is the brainchild of EMPOWER, the Woman's March youth branch, and will take

place exactly one month after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in

Parkland, Florida.

It's scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in every time zone and last for 17 minutes — one

for each victim who lost their life in the massacre.

Florida School Shooting Survivor to Lawmakers Who Take Money From NRA: 'Shame on You'

Much like the original Women's March, the #Enough Walkout started as one Facebook event

that is quickly growing to include dozens of schools across the US, from elementary

schools to colleges and universities.

Parkland, Florida, is listed as one of the communities that will participate in the demonstration,

according to a map on the organization's website.

Students who survived the shooting in Florida are speaking out in hopes that no more schools

face a similar tragedy, and they're planning to protest in Washington, D.C. on March 24

at an event organized by March For Our Lives.

Another national walkout is slated for April 20, the nineteenth anniversary of the Columbine

shooting in Colorado.

All of the marches share one mission: to put pressure on Congress to pass gun reform and

make schools safer."

More info via the NY Post: "The document was co-authored by, among others, Rasmea Yousef

Odeh, a convicted terrorist.

Odeh, a Palestinian, was convicted in Israel in 1970 for her part in two terrorist bombings,

one of which killed two students while they were shopping for groceries.

She spent 10 years in prison for her crimes.

She then managed to become a US citizen in 2004 by lying about her past (great detective

work, INS: Next time, use Google) but was subsequently convicted, in 2014, of immigration

fraud for the falsehoods.

However, she won the right to a new trial (set for this spring) by claiming she had

been suffering from PTSD at the time she lied on her application.

Oh, and in her time as a citizen, she worked for a while as an ObamaCare navigator.

Rasmea Yousef Odeh spent 10 years in prison for her part in two terrorist bombings.AP

You can see why she's a hero to the left.

Another co-author, Angela Davis, is a Stalinist professor and longtime supporter of the Black

Panthers.

Davis is best known for being acquitted in a 1972 trial after three guns she bought were

used in a courtroom shootout that resulted in the death of a judge.

She celebrated by going to Cuba.

A third co-author, Tithi Bhattacharya, praised Maoism in an essay for the International Socialist

Review, noting that Maoists are "on the terrorist list of the US State Department,

Canada, and the European Union," which she called an indication that "Maoists are back

in the news and by all accounts they are fighting against all the right people."

You know you're dealing with extremism when someone admits to hating Canada.

The International Women's Strike is meant to be a grassroots affair, with womensmarch.com

promising more information about how to participate in local protests across the US.

Women around the country are being urged to walk off their jobs and join a demonstration

near them"
