Contains 27 pieces.

Recommended building ages are 5 through 10.

Here we have Stephanie on her yellow snowboard.

She does have a helmet with goggle that do go up and down.

In addition, she actually has to shave her hair off

just to put her helmet on.

On the left, we have a snowbank with a mug.

In the middle, we have some sort of see-saw

for the snowboard.

Let's try it out.

So she's suppose to slide down.

It does work,

or you can do this.

Then she's really flying through the air.

I mainly got this set because of the snowboard

and the helmet with goggles.

This will be a good addition for a source for spar parts

for a winter mock,

or even for a Lego Friends theme.

Alright, on to today's question, which comes from a house cleaner who says I don't have

very much money, but I'm getting ready to hire some people, and I want to know what

are employee perks that I can give them, that are a little bit different, a little bit unique

and will keep them loyal to me.

Alright so here's an excellent question, employee perks to keep your employee's coming back.

Alright the first one is a Netflix subscription.

And you're like what?

Who would have thought of that?

It's about $12-14 a month, and it allows your employees, when they are off the clock, to

watch whatever movies and programs that they want with their family.

Now a lot of families are ponying up for this, out of their own pocket, or they're paying

for cable subscriptions or whatever, but when you offer that to your employee, it's not

a lot of money but there's a lot of enjoyment there.

And so, that's one less thing that they have to pay for and every time they use it their

going to think of you, so it's a great employee perk.

Alright, another one are called "Yay Days" and Yay Day it's two days a year where it's

paid time off, and you can use it for whatever you want.

If you are having a wellness day, and you are just in a feisty mood.

Maybe you need to take a Yay Day.

And you need to go do something that makes your heart sing.

But you can't afford to take off work because you need the money.

That's when the Yay Day comes in.

It gives you the latitude to just take a day off, go clear your head have some fun and

when you come back you're in a happy place.

Alright in addition to that another thing that you might consider are two paid nights at a hotel.

And you can put a limit on it, say it's only up to $200,

so they are not staying at some fancy resort or whatever.

But something that your budget will allow, and it can be just to get away, it can be

if they're in the doghouse at home, and they need a place to stay that night, or it can

be if they are on their family vacation, and they just want you to pick up the cost on

two of the nights of their vacation.

That might offset the difference enough that it makes their vacation more affordable.

So the joy of having two nights off is you can use them whenever you want.

One, one or you can use them both together at the same trip.

So it's just a kind of fun perk that you know, lets you get away for a little bit.

Alright another perk that you might offer your employees are gift cards to nearby restaurants.

They don't have to be fancy restaurants, they can be, but they don't have to be.

Even McDonald's and Wendy's and Chick-fil-a and Five Guys, they all have gift cards.

And a lot of your employees that are working out in the field are going to grab something

quick on their way through the drive through or whatever and this is another way to say

"hey, thanks for your help, I really appreciate it".

Another one that we might talk about is one that my first boss did for me.

He gave me paid time off every week to go to a Toastmaster Club.

It was actually a requirement of my job, but it was also one of the biggest perks that

I ever got from a business.

And the reason being is I was scared, my very first job I

was a secretary, and I refused to answer the telephones because I was scared of people,

and I could not speak in public.

I couldn't even look someone in the eye.

Now Toastmasters is an International Club.

It's about $30 every six months and there are manuals that you go through, and it's

a group of supportive people that make you get up.

You have to get up every single week, and you go through a series of 8 or 10 lessons.

Those lessons teach you how to speak sincerely, eye contact, vocal variety, hand gestures,

and they teach you some amazing things that will help you later on when you make your

own YouTube videos, which are how to get rid of the "um's", and the "ah's", and the vocalized

pauses that you say "um" "ah" you know, nobody likes to hear that kind of stuff.

They'll help you cut that out.

Another benefit that I learned from Toastmasters was table topics.

Now fast forward into the future, and I'm making these YouTube videos for you right

now, which is nothing more than an elongated table topic.

Someone asks you a question, and you give them an answer back, that's all it is.

Toastmasters allows you to get up in front of an audience and to share that information

on the fly.

So every week you have to get up, and you have to be "on" for just a minute.

And you have to give a beginning a body, and a close and make it somewhat cohesive.

And then they grade you at the end, and they give you feedback.

And so it's a very loving, supportive group of people that help you, check this out, become

better at going to customer's houses and doing an initial walk throughs with the customer,

thinking on your feet, answering questions, being able to look them in the eye and give

them a price without backing down.

Oh my goodness, Toastmasters, it's awesome.

I am a huge fan of Toastmasters, I was a member for about 12 years, and I love the benefits

it's given to me in my life.

Alright, another one that you might consider as an extra perk for your employees is to

sign them up for and give them time off to go to an improv club.

An improv club will help you immensely when dealing with angry customers, because an angry

customer will throw something at you and instead of arguing, you learn that "yes and..." technique.

So the "yes and..." technique is,

yes, I understand it, I accept it and here's what I'm going to do.

Or here's why that happened, or here's how that works for us, and you add to it.

So you become part of the customer's story, and you involve them in your process.

So instead of feeling like, "Oh, they attacked me, I'm going to cut that customer out of

my schedule".

Now you figured out a way to work with them.

Improv, it's amazing, for house cleaners, and landscapers, and window washers, and all

the different people that service the home.

Alright, I just recommend, if you'll take the time, if you want to invest in your career,

yeah, you need business books and you need sales training, but more than anything,

you need an improv class.

So that's a benefit and a perk you can offer your employees.

Alright, those are just a few, I don't want to get really long winded here but I do want

to give you a few so that you can just be thinking of those on the back burner.
