therabbitpad.com, and in this video, I am going to show you how

you can download an entire

folder that you have created in Google

Drive and access those files from your computer

even if those documents

were created within Google's programs,

such as Google Docs, Google Sheets,

Google slides, etc. So if you

want to download a folder, you just need to

open that folder or go

to the screen in Google Drive

where that folder is located and right-click

the folder and then

select "download."

And when you do this, Google Drive

is going to place all of the files

within a .ZIP file, which is a way

of compressing all of the content within that

folder into one file, and this process

will take a little while.

And now, this document

or this folder has been downloaded

in a .ZIP file. Now on most

computers, your, whether it's Windows or

Mac, you will be able to use

software that came with the computer in order to

open that and on the

Mac, it's automatically extracted

and the cool thing about this is

that it converts all of the files

within that folder that you created

in Google Docs or Google Sheets or Google Slides

into Microsoft Office formats so that

you can open them in Microsoft Word.

Half Diminished Chords - This is how to use Quartal Arpeggios - Duration: 6:44.

- Hi, everybody.

My name is Jens Larsen.

The half-diminished chord

can be kind of difficult to improvise over.

Very often, we find us stuck with just the basic arpeggio

and the scale that surrounds it,

but there's a lot more material that you can use

when you're improvising on half-diminished chords,

and in this video I'm going to go over

some of the quartal arpeggios

that work really well for this sound,

and I'm gonna show you how to practice them,

how to find them,

and also how they sound

if you put them to use in a minor cadence.

This example is using two quartal arpeggios:

the one from A, and the one from B-flat.

So the example is a ii-V-I cadence in D minor,

so that means that it's E half-diminished,

A7 altered, D minor 6,

and on the E half-diminished I'm using a D minor scale,

or an F major scale: that would be the same notes.

When you wanna check out (guitar music)

these two quartal arpeggios,

then probably you wanna check out

all the quartal arpeggios of that scale

on the middle string set.

That would be this exercise.

Let's have a look at how these arpeggios

are connected to the half-diminished chord.

So the first one is the one from A,

so A, D, and G,

and of course D and G are just the seventh and the third

of the half-diminished chord,

so they're chord tones.

They work really well.

The A is the 11, and really this is also

almost an E minor 7 with an 11, without any fifth,

so that way that could also work

as a voicing for your half-diminished chord.

The other arpeggio is this one, with a B-flat, E, and A,

and again the B-flat is the flat five,

so that's a chord tone.

The E is the root, so that's also a chord tone,

and then the A is an 11,

which we also, anyway, wanna have in there.

The next starts with the two ascending quartal arpeggios,

so first the one from A (guitar music),

then the one from B-flat (guitar music),

and then I go down to a G,

and then (guitar music) move up the scale

up to the B-flat, which is the first note on the A7 altered.

Here, I'm playing another quartal arpeggio,

that's the one from C, so (guitar music).

Moving up to the one from C-sharp (guitar music),

and then resolving to the fifth of D minor 6, which is an A.

(guitar music)

In the first example,

we had first the quartal arpeggio from A, so this one,

and then the one from B-flat, which was this one,

and here I'm starting with the one from B-flat also,

so (guitar music) an ascending version of that,

and then the next one is the one from E (guitar music)

which also works really well,

so we have E, which is, of course, a chord tone,

the 11 again, and then the seventh,

which is, again, a chord tone.

So if you wanna check this one out,

you can, of course, also just check out the top string set

with the quartal arpeggios.

That would be this exercise.

The line is constructed

by starting with the quartal arpeggio from B-flat,

so B-flat, E, A,

and then using the two top notes here to continue,

so E, A, and then adding the D on top.

From here, I move down the scale, coming out on the A,

on the A7 altered, so (guitar music),

and then going down the scale again, so down to the G, F,

and then we get this small chromatic phrase (guitar music),

and then that's turning up to the sharp nine,

and then resolving to the A,

which is, of course, the fifth of our D minor 6.

With this example,

I'm using another arpeggio that's not a quartal arpeggio,

but that works extremely well for the half-diminished chord,

and that's the arpeggio from the flat five,

so the diatonic arpeggio from the flat five, in this case,

is a B-flat major 7 (guitar music),

and then from the B-flat major 7 I'm going down to a D

and using that as a diatonic leading note to play, again,

the quartal arpeggio from E, so (guitar music),

and then, on the A7, I'm starting on the sharp nine,

so the C, turning on the third,

and then down the scale (guitar music),

and then down to the C-sharp,

and ending on the ninth of the D minor 6.

Of course there are more quartal arpeggios that you can use

besides the three that I went over in these examples,

but just to recap quickly,

so I'm using the one from the 11th, in this case an A,

the one from the flat five, which is this one, so a B-flat,

and the one from the root.

You can also easily use the one from the seventh,

so that's D, G, and C.

Then you get this flat 13 in there,

but that will work quite well.

In general, you can use most of them.

You have to be, maybe, a little bit careful

if there's an F in the quartal arpeggio,

especially if you end up giving it some emphasis,

or put that at the top of the arpeggio,

but most of the time you can still get away with using it.

A lot of these quartal arpeggios

are really good if you're shifting them,

which is also what I'm doing here, so I'm (guitar music)

moving between several quartal arpeggios,

and that's just a nice way of using them,

and you can get some really interesting melodies doing that,

so that's worthwhile checking out.

Now.

As the assistant to the President of the United States, First Daughter Ivanka Trump is spending

most of the week on political business in Iowa.

While she usually travels with her husband, Jared Kushner who also has a notable White

House role, this times she went alone.

By her side for most of the trip is the state's female Republican Governor Kim Reynolds who

is up for re-election, and also happened to be there when Ivanka was hit with some particularly

devastating news.

The purpose of Ivanka's trip is to highlight the administration's infrastructure proposal

and measures to improve workforce training and high-tech skills development, the De Moines

Register reported.

Part of the hands-on tour to promote training, and workforce development included an afternoon

at Waukee Innovation and Learning Center in Waukee, Iowa.

The pair suited up in white lab coats and measured nicotine content in electronic-cigarette

"vape juice."

They were observed by high school students in the lab environment who were learning a

skilled trade early on to become a valued part of society, find self-achievement and

an ability to provide for themselves soon after high school.

All that Ivanka was there to support and encourage among young people and women in the workforce

seems like a noble and worthwhile endeavor regardless of what side of the aisle you're

on.

However, that was not the case as Ivanka found out shortly after arriving at a popular local

salon for a quick hairstyling session and got something else instead.

Now, the owner of the state's most successful salon is being forced to defend her decision

after masses of furious, intolerant, customers launched a savage attack.

The Daily Mail reports:

Several customers have threatened to part ways with a popular beauty salon in Iowa after

the manager shared a photo of Governor Kim Reynolds smiling next to Ivanka Trump.

The First Daughter went in for a styling session at Salon Spa W, located in the East Village

of Des Moines, with the Republican politician on Monday.

Spa owner China Wong wrote in the picture post on social media: "supporting women

in politics."

Immediately after, Facebook users took to the comments section to slam the salon – which

has stellar business reviews and 4,261 likes on their page.

One said she would be canceling future appointments while demanding an apology from the salon

before coming back.

Another criticized both Trump and Reynolds, calling them "beacons of feminism."

This is not the first time a business or individual has been grossly attacked for any passive

involvement with the Trump's and it won't be the last.

However, what the owner did as an immediate response was not typical in these situations

and could cost her a lot of business.

Spa owner China Wong was undeterred by rightfully floored by these hateful and completely unacceptable

comments and threats, yet was undeterred by what they had to say.

She made a much bigger statement in her response to the onslaught of verbal attacks on the

Governor, First Daughter, and the business, which her clients were definitely not expecting.

According to Hollywood Life:

The company kept the image up, but added a statement in response to the criticism.

"We believe everyone matters and deserves our indiscriminate care and kindness.

We were taken aback by the response to the image below of our Governor with Ivanka Trump

who received services from our salon.

We also recognize impact matters more than intent.

While we are not a partisan organization we do see it as part of our mission to welcome

people to Des Moines and serve everyone," China Wong, the president of Salon Spa W,

said in the statement.

"We share images of our clients, some that are recognizable public figures, to showcase

our work.

We are honored to serve clients from all walks of life.

Our East Village location, with proximity to the State Capitol and Civic Center, provides

a unique opportunity to serve musicians, actors, Broadway stars, presidents-elect (including

Barack Obama), those in town for the Iowa Caucuses, lawmakers, activists, commentators,

and artists of every medium –– we have shared images of many along the way," the

statement continues.

"We also serve you –– our beautiful, diverse, and passionate community.

We proudly share our work and celebrate all of you because our purpose is making people

look and feel beautiful.

Again, we believe everyone matters and deserves our indiscriminate care and kindness."

Wong's response was spot on and she probably earned more business than what she lost in

saying it, remaining professional, courteous and complimentary.

Plus, she made a good point…if you want to celebrate a diverse community, then that

means accepting all, even those who are counter to your political beliefs and biases.

This is how you show tolerance and acceptance.

Wong didn't make a divisive statement in her original post of the two notable women,

she simply featured her famous customers.

There was nothing political said to create hate – that was completely on the incensed

people who proved they have zero tolerance for others different than them, despite what

they preach.

okay guys after we review this Allosaurus unboxing and review it we're

gonna go ahead and review all their Allosaurus dinosaurs from Kenner

Jurassic Park and also from Hasbro Jurassic world to check them up super

excited today today I have drastic world fallen Kingdom Allosaurus in which I've

already reviewed but it's kind of cool to see him in the Jurassic Park cage

enclosures so hopefully he won't escape New Jurassic World Allosaurus Roarivores Unboxing T-Rex Vs Fallen Kingdom Mattel Vs Hasbro

anyways here is the Allosaurus guys like I said in the other videos one of the

things I love the most about these guys first of all they have all the action

features the box is open if you I'm gonna go ahead and take a good picture

of the scan point on this guy so you guys could scan it into your own Park if

you have the app even before you could buy this toy or in case you can't afford

to buy the toy so you could still add all these guys to your park if you keep

watching my videos okay so to free him you simply cut the bindings that are

holding him in there in here you can see his tail is loose you could just pull it

right out of the package okay so you can simply take its tail out without

destroying the package one thing I don't understand though is you have the

beautiful packaging it's all preserved but I think one thing they forgot once

you get the dinosaur here you go ahead here you pop on this guy's tail that has

locked in I mean there is no release button here so this guy is not feeding

back into the package so even though you do get the beautiful packaging you will

never get him back in there okay but anyways you know that that's a small

thing to complain about unless you know unless you're a collector and you know

you'd like to preserve the packaging but hey

too late now okay well anyways if you take a look at this guy he is awesome we

are gonna start with the head because I love the chopping action like I showed

you guys earlier so like I said you have fast chopping action but another cool

thing is their mouths are open like naturally so it's really good for

pictures and modeling stuff like that you don't have to find something to prop

their mouth open which you did in all the dress but here are the teeth are not

as great as the other ones I did you can see some of them are not separate a lot

of them are separate and you do that a little run of color there because his

tongue is like a really dark blue collar so that that's a little weird I'm

wondering why they just stick with like pink orange color well anyways great job

with the eyes they did great coloring there to see like the yellow right here

which I love the way they did here is the action button I mean even if you're

looking directly at it you might miss it so I mean they did a great job blending

it in but if you stand him up you will definitely miss the action

button he doesn't have all the screw holes that you did with all Hasbro's

dinosaur toys another awesome feature these guys not only will their arms move

backward and forward they move up and down you see you can see like the joint

over there so his arms move all the way up and down and they go backward and

forward so you could put him like in an attack position like this with this arms

ready to swing forward one thing I don't like they didn't paint his nails here I

mean it would have looked really nice to paint in these black so I mean if you

want to do that yourself you know that's something that would make it look a lot

cooler the legs lock into two different position

and the bottom there and in the top right there ah one thing I do love about

these legs guys it's sort of on a ball-joint look at this on the leg will

move in and out so it'll move in and out as you're turning it too which makes it

super smooth movement I mean almost like it's on a ball-bearing so I love the

fact that we didn't need anything to chance on these guys I mean they really

did the research what their fans like what aw Hasbro did wrong with these guys

and they went so anyways continuing on down to his

feet they did paint his nails on his feet like a dark grey color so that's

nice that they painted his nails and then if you look at the bottom here here

is where you have speaker nice and open so you have a nice

and another thing that also about these guys

you can stand them in a lot of different positions so here you've got him

standing pretty much close to the ground you could have them come all the way

down to the ground and then you've got total movement so you could move him up

just a little bit if you want a little bit more more over there

I mean he's not holding his tail is not holding him up like the Hasbro ones or

you could move him all the way up so you've got stables standing position and

any of these points on this guy's so that is great for attacking well anyways

let's go ahead and scan him into our app that is the one weak point about these

guys I like my tablet I guess the cameras not all that great so it has a

hard time picking it up so I have to take a picture and scan the picture for

my computer which I'll include a picture for you guys so you could scan this guy

into your park okay so anyways the this the app is Jurassic world facts is what

it's called when you start it up you have the gate of Jurassic world over

there and some Dino sounds and then go ahead and scan them in let's see if I

could have better luck with this guy that I did with the other guys

okay so here you Soros was the Dino of the week so if you guys have this one

you already had him but anyways go ahead and poke him like I said in the other

episode these guys look just like the ones from Jurassic world the game which

I do have over 200 episodes so if that's something you like you want to see

awesome guys are battling but really cool Allosaurus there so now you can get

some more facts on this guy here's the one you came back Allosaurus can open

her mouth wider than 90 degrees and then we could go check out the rest of our

collection which is something you will have to because all of these I am saving

for you so well I mean I'm giving you the QR codes so you can clean the

brightest anyways you have the Triceratops

there you have the metric and the soros

you got the Baryonyx and our Allosaurus so that is - we just have to watch out

for the super colossal t-rex so you doesn't grab this guy in like eat him

first thing I'm gonna compare it to this the drastic world

allosaurus I'm sorry but check this guy out

just like she looks like a chicken he's full of holes he's cheap he can't

stand up I mean nothing maybe this guy will be like time for battle but then we

compare it to a drastic park battle ravaged Allosaurus which is actually

kind of cool and it has some really cool features so this one is battle ravage

because just rip two guys down Tripta you toll on his tail his leg now he's

stand in different positions also so if I had a choice between the two I would

choose the Allosaurus assault but the only problem is if you want this guy

you're gonna pay about $150 on ebay for him but he is really cool-looking and

this guy has a better job okay so now can any of these guys beat our big giant

t-rex goes right down its throat so that guy will fit almost down the t-rex is

Sexuality in Love, Simon - Duration: 10:28.

Oh hi! This is apparently my niche now. But please don't tell anyone about it. I

need to reveal that when I'm ready to. I went saw the new movie to Love, Simon on

the weekend. And ... I have a lot of thoughts about it. Well at least six. Possibly

seven. So in this video I'm going to assume you've seen the movie and I'm

going to discuss what I thought the movie did well, what I think the movie

didn't do well, and then discuss overall why I think this movie (no matter if

you liked it or not) is quote-unquote "important." Also if we have time I'll

explain the whole Facebook controversy that's going on without throwing myself

into a fire. But only if we have time. We won't have time. One thing that needs to

be made clear at the very beginning, this is a teen romance film. Similar to The

Fault in Our Stars or, going back to my childhood, 10 Things I Hate About You.

This has a very specific formula. So welcome to You've Got Mail:

Gay Millennial Edition! And I don't bring this point up to be overly negative, but

definitely coming off of the last much talked-about gay film (Call Me By Your

Name) this film could feel diminished. But these two movies are attempting to do

very different things. This film is the first wide release studio film to

feature a gay protagonist in high school, and Call Me By Your Name was attempting

to make Timothée Chalamet even more adorable. Check and mate movie. If you

don't necessarily like overly emotional, slightly cheesy comedies, I don't think

you're gonna be swayed by watching this. On the other hand if you're not

pretentious maybe you'll find things to like, Darrell! I want to go through the

things that this movie does extremely well. And the first is the sense of

turmoil Simon is going through, even though (as an outside observer) it appears

ridiculous. He has supportive friends, a supportive family, he even mentions that

he doesn't think it would be a huge deal if he did come out. And yet he still

struggles. I've seen this, and I've lived this. Because we are the protagonists of

our own stories we can't assume to know how people will react. And you can begin

making stories up in your mind about how all the ways the world will shatter and

never be able to be put back together after you've made a declarative

statement about your sexuality. It's like how you can't unmake a cake or, probably

more truthful for me, you can't un-eat those five tubs of Cool

Whip, Kyle. And to that point the anger in which Simon lashes out at Martin for

outing him is perfect righteous fury. He snaps and he shouts, "I'm supposed to be the

one that decides when, and how, and who knows, and how I get to say it. That's

supposed to be my thing!" That coming out moment – which is so unique and special to

people in the LGBT community – is stolen from him. It's the only moment that Simon

truly loses cool and it works really well. What also works well are his

parents. And it's still weird for me to have Jennifer Garner playing the mom

role in a movie, but she nails it. And his dad is played by Josh Duhamel, who at

this point I can't tell the difference between him and Timothy Olyphant and so

they've merged into one actor who I call Joshamy Dualelephant. Both of their

responses are what you hope for as a son baring themselves to judgment. In

particular, though, I want to highlight Jennifer Garner's reaction. This is right

after Simon walks dejectedly into the house and asks, "Did you know?" And she says,

"As soon as you came out you said 'mom I'm still me.' I need you to hear this. You are

still you, Simon. You are still the same son who I love to tease, and who your

father depends on for just about everything, and you're the same brother

who always complements his sister on her food. Even when it sucks. You get to

exhale now Simon. You get to be more you than you have been in a very long time.

You deserve everything you want." Well I'm off to cry out all the liquids in my

body. So have fun with the rest of the video nerds! Just kidding. I could never

leave you. Literally. Through a hilarious set of comically absurd circumstances I

sat in a pool of Krazy Glue on this couch a few months ago and haven't been

able to leave since. I pay for pizza with my Patreon income. I haven't seen my

family in the weeks. They've foreclosed on my condo. Why is nobody seeing my cries for

help? Let's talk about Martin. And not this Martin that nobody remembers

anymore, but this Martin. Essentially the villain of the movie. And I don't want to

bypass the fact that I think what Martin does is awful. He lets a moment of

embarrassment cause him to do a horrible thing. But what I like that the movie

does is show how he is not completely reprehensible. The easy thing

to have done was have the antagonist be just a huge asshole and homophobe.

And he isn't. He's certainly overbearing, and jumps at the chance to use blackmail,

but he's also shown to be completely comfortable with who he is. There's this

great moment where he tells Simon of his plan to try and convince Abby to go on a

date with him. And Simon thinks that Martin wants advice on how to dress and

act normal, but no. Martin tells him "I want a girl who likes me for me." And this

is such a great way to pit Simon and him against one another. Simon has

already admitted to not feeling comfortable with himself, and thinking

that he needs to change himself to fit the stereotype. And here's this

overbearing dummy who thinks he's great the way he already is. It makes me think

that perhaps I can finally declare that pineapples do belong on pizza. That it's

the only combination that makes any sense in this crazy mixed-up world. It's

time for the Italians and Hawaiians to finally rise up and merge into the

ultimate taste sensation! Okay no. Maybe I'll just keep that to myself ... forever.

Lastly I want to mention how I appreciated that the movie allowed the

gay protagonist to be a jerk. Make no mistake Simon is kind of awful for a

good portion of this film. And sure he's being blackmailed,

but he knowingly allows his friends to make poor choices in order to hide

himself. He lashes out at his sister, he constantly thinks of himself without

truly thinking about the consequences that his actions have. We've had gay

characters in films before, but gay characters are traditionally the funny

comic relief. Or the tragic character who is dying and they are just a

metaphor for death and sadness. To have a character who is gay but also has layers

is truly something to celebrate. Like the layers of cheese, ham, and pineapples, and

the truly great fusion of taste and texture ... I'm sorry I'm going off script.

I think this growth in Simon's character is felt more strongly by the end of the

movie. Because he's allowed to be shown as less than perfect. So there's that.

Let's move on to what doesn't work so well. I've already mentioned how it never

really escapes its own genre. Not that it needs to, but except for maybe the

reveal of who Blue is at the end of the film, there is nothing that will surprise

you in this movie. There are great pains at painting Simon as

super relatable at the beginning of the film. All of which weren't relatable at

all to me. I suppose you could say it's supposed to be funny, except the tone

doesn't feel like it is. He goes on about his dad was the good-looking quarterback

of the schoo,l that his mother was a valedictorian, that his friends have been

his friends since kindergarten, and they all have a popular hangout spot they all

go to. And perhaps I was just that big of a loser in high school. I grew up in

small-town Canada in the last century, and when I went to the local sock hop I

often found out that most of my class had died of dysentery. Also I hated

everybody, and "sports" was running away from the specter of our own mortality

that haunted us like the spirits of a Dickensian tale. But that could just be

me. Anyway I didn't find that part of Simon's life relatable. You also run into

what all of these high school movie's run into. Which is everybody looks

gorgeous and too old to be there. The guy who works at the Waffle Hut, who Simon

thinks might be Blue for a while, looks my age.

Turns out he's only in his early 20s after I check out his IMDB. But boy does

he have the anti-Paul Rudd gene. He looks way older than what he really is. And

lastly I just don't think that the direction is all that inspired. It's

pretty standard. And I hate to say this next bit, but you can tell that the

director came from TV. There's no true cinematic shots. Even Simon's

fantasy about going to college, where it turns briefly into a musical feels kind of

by-the-numbers. Compare that scene to something with a

bit more flair, like 500 Days of Summer which has a very similar type of scene.

But it's done so much better in that movie.

I mean, congrats to Greg Berlanti for being an openly gay director and

essentially overseeing the entire DC Comics TV universe, but I hope that he

grows as a storyteller and it doesn't seem so formulaic in the future. All

right, so that's my snarkiness done. Here's why I do think that this film is

important. I mentioned Call Me By Your name earlier, and while I think that it's

better on every level, that movie was an arthouse film. It's going to resonate

with a certain demographic and was released in, like, seven theaters. In the

world it's global gross was just over 17 million dollars. Comparatively that

was Love, Simon's budget. In its first weekend it made 12 million dollars in

North America alone. This has the weight of the Hollywood advertising

machine behind it. Studios are starting to see that having a gay main character is

not box-office poison. The success of this movie means we get more films with

gay characters as more than a catchphrase spouting machine. This can

lead to more dramas with gays in the lead, and could then translate into gay

detectives, gay action stars, and even gay superheroes. As if Iron Man and Captain

America aren't totally boning down on each other.

The very last thing I'll say about that, is we've had the gay male experience but

I'd enjoy seeing gay women. With the success of Call Me By Your Name and Love, Simon

it's nice seeing the gay white male experience, but we could have even

more diversity than that. Overall I did like this film. This is the type of movie

I call a "Lazy Sunday" film, where I can totally see myself in the future putting

this on, curl up in a blanket on a Sunday and feeling completely satisfied.
