Hey guys thanks for watching Beyond Science, it's Mike Chen.

And this is a really interesting story.

For years,

the United States government has always tried

to maintain a pretty much safe and somewhat skeptical position

when it concerns the possibility of alien life

and the likelihood that extraterrestrial beings

may try to visit our planet

or have already succeeded in doing so.

And whatever footage or information on unexpected sightings

of unidentified flying objects or UFOs

are released and made known to the public.

Government institutions are really quick to refute

the possibility that the origins of these aerial objects are not of this world.

Instead, they offer explanations that they deem more plausible

thus completely veering the public's attention

and curiosity from topics they feel are best left on discussed.

Perhaps, this is to prevent the public from descending into chaos

because of their misguided fears.

Or perhaps it is to spare the rest of us from having to deal with difficult truths

while those in the government think that

they are covertly acting with our best interest supposedly always in mind.

But every now and then,

earth-shaking revelations are made by top ranking officials of the government

about the secrets the institutions they serve

are keeping from the taxpaying public.

And among such revelations,

the recent acknowledgement by the Pentagon

that have formed and have funded

a top secret and long-running UFO investigation program.

So here's what happened.

On Saturday December the 16th,

the New York Times and and Politico published articles

which revealed that the US government

more specifically the US Defense Intelligence Agency

had been funding a secret investigatory program

that studied unexplained aerial phenomena

or UAPs,

and is supposedly operated from the year 2007 until 2012.

And taxpayers supposedly shout out around twenty-two million dollars

during this entire five-year run,

Called the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program,

the clandestine effort to study UAPs

was initiated by former US senator and Nevada Democrat Harry Reid,

who at the time was the Senate majority leader.

Reid's proposed UFO investigation program

was backed by the late Senators Ted Stevens of Alaska

and Daniel Inouye of Hawaii

Most of the budget allocated for the program went to-

an aerial research company run by Nevada businessman

and a governmental contractor Roberts Bigelow.

And not only is he allegedly a close friend of Reed

who is also a passionate believer in the existence of aliens.

It is said to be the one who sparked the senate's interest in UFOs

and all things extraterrestrial in the first place.

Reports also noted that Bigelow provided financial support to Reed's campaign

for Senator re-election in 2004 as well as in 2010.

Now the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program

was led by a US military intelligence official named Luis Elizondo.

As for what members of the program

actually accomplished during its five-year existence,

it was revealed that

the secret UFO program mainly investigated the accounts of military and commercial pilots

who claimed to have witnessed or encountered unexplained aircraft phenomena.

And this was not to just find proof of extraterrestrial presence on earth,

but also to ascertain if some of the mysterious flying objects

were actually secretly deployed by other powerful countries

like Russia or China.

The officials in the program also interviewed any evaluated individuals

who claimed to have felt or experienced

some physical effects from their UFO encounters.

But aside from interviewing people,

the program supposedly recovered a metal alloys

and other physical evidences from discover UAPs

and store them somewhere in Las Vegas.

Anyway, out of the program's efforts,

they managed to write a 490 page reports

about alleged UFO sightings all over the world

for the past several decades.

This report, of course, has yet to be disclosed to the public

and though the program did not manage to yield irrefutable proof of aliens visiting earth

those who are part of the program, particularly Elizondo,

believed that their findings warranted serious attention.

So why was this operation terminated?

Well, funding of the Advanced Aviation Threat and Identification Program

was terminated by the US Department of Defense back in 2012.

As for why it had to end.

Political article mentioned a former congressional staffer

who revealed that while the effort was a worthy endeavor in the beginning,

the program failed to find anything of substance

and because they could no longer justify

spending taxpayer money to investigate UFO sightings,

the program was given a slow death.

However, some of those who supported the program believe that

the Pentagon is still allowing it to operate in some form.

And that officials even today are still investigating UAPs

or UFO sightings reported by servicemembers,

while also attending to other duties in the Defense Department's.

Luis Elizondo, in particular,

resigned from his position in the October of this year

as he expressed

his frustration regarding the Pentagon's indifference

over the merits of the UFO investigatory program

and the government's organization's refusal to fund its operations further.

Elizondo also decried the government's excessive secrecy over the subject matter

and the internal opposition the program constantly faced.

He also revealed that after his resignation,

a new official had already been appointed

to continue the covert UFO investigations of the US government.

And as for what the Pentagon had to say about these revelations,

the Defense Department in response to an inquiry by Reuters

confirmed the existence and subsequent termination

of the Advanced Aviation Threat and Identification program].

According to Pentagon, spokeswoman Laura Ochoa,

the UFO investigatory program ended in 2012

because the department found that

there were more pressing high priority issues

that deserve the funding the UFO program received.

As such, the Department of Defense thought that

it was in the government and the public's interest

to make a change by terminating the program.

But on whether the Pentagon really seized investigating UFO and UAP's sightings

the US Defense Department's response is pretty much a non-answer.

The organization neither confirmed nor denied

that some of its officials are really still handling UFO related issue.

Instead, it's stressed that it takes all threats and potential threats very seriously,

and the department promises to take action

when they find credible information about such threats.

And this s really not the first time

that it was revealed to the public

that their government has been secretly pulling the strings behind the scene

especially when it comes to UFOs.

In fact, the Advanced Aviation Threat and Indentification program

is not the only UFO related project initiated by the US government.

Some of those programs no predecessors include

Projects Sign, Grudge and Blue Book.

And they all shared similar objectives of gathering data about the UFOs

and determining whether they pose potential threats

to national security and the public safety.

And needless to say,

this recent reveal the UFO investigatory program

is not the first of its kind,

and we can surely expect it won't be the last.

But my question to you guys is -

do you feel like this warrants taxpayer money?

Do you feel like there should be an organization that we're paying for it

whose primary job is to investigate flying anomalies around the world.

For me the answer is 'yes'

But only if the government actually reveals what they find.

get the grunt out of the way first quickly because it's just a grunt I mean

it's a fine-looking grunt it uses the same kind of blueish grey slightly

iridescent and metallic color that was used for the o'neary pecs series of

vehicles and also some of the figures in the spirit the large collector series

spirit set so it's compatible with those and again it's just a grunt you know

it's the super articulated style which is very posable has pretty decent

scaling to the Spartans maybe a little bit on the large side but not too much

for the three-for-three era and comes with just a little plasma pistol that's

just that oh yeah that grunt was a common figure in this series as is this

just a marine this is just medium dark gray on white and the white is the what

I call cookies and cream mix with a fairly true white just a little bit

creamy and it's it's hue just a little bit yellowish but it has a lot of

speckles red and grey in it and some Browns and such and there's just a

little bit of metallic glitter a little bit of a little bit of flake in that

grey that's used for the armor pieces just a regular salt rifle with the fold

black color this one is another very masa beleaguer I figure

I don't know about the white I think that the white is a little bit bright

for military uniform but it's not bad you know given that they did bring the

speckles in there it kind of tones it down a little bit it's not the brightest

of whites that you can make and yeah I just think it's a very very standard

very maskel character that with such generic colors could even be crossed

over to other universes and you know made up themes as well this halo war is

to banished brut is also a common and this one this one really doesn't stand

out in any kind of lineup this one almost feels like it's like all one

color all the colors just kind of blend it together

it uses a dark silver color for most of the the pieces that you see from the

outside for the armor and also the lower arms and lower legs then the body

beneath uses a lot of a fairly muddy gray it's just a very very neutral dark

grey the hands are a different color for the skin tone the head is also that a

very similar color to that and the the gravity hammer is that nice interesting

blue color but again just to me to my eyes nothing really stands out here I

guess when you get the light to hit it just right you get some of that that

glitter effect in there looks kind of interesting and certainly up close you

can see that blue that's used for the paint applications on the helmet and

torso or on the chest armor pretty strongly but just on display from a lot

of angles you see a lot of this which I think for some things would be really

cool just to me personally this one fails to stand out at all here's the

common soldier Spartan which has a very straightforward color scheme just the

brightest of silver colors against a plain black comes with the energy sword

there and the visor is a paint application done in orange it's just a

little bit offset on this one which I think will not be consistent from one to

the next but it's not bad but you know it should come a little bit

farther around this side that would have made it look a little bit better but

it's not bad for such a plain color scheme it has a fair amount of of

contrast and I think it's just so metallic that it looks interesting in

its own way especially with the choice of the using the same silver color for

the hands as well it's not something that you see very much silver hands so I

think that me I think the hands actually make it look more interesting to me a

little bit more you know t1000 terminator ish then then the others and

there's there's just something a little bit special about it for that reason but

this is again just a common figure here yet another common figure in storm bound

is this wet work Spartan with the cookies and cream white

color for the armor and this one brings in just a little bit of the blue of this

series and it's just the right amount I think I really like that blue

application for the visor such as it is I guess I could have used a little bit

more of that on this figure but it's appropriate you know yeah not bad I

usually am NOT a big fan of these white based figures but this is another one

that's that's actually done pretty well there I feel like there there's more of

the speckling in this particular batch of plastic then than usual or actually

these couple of batches and I think that's two different types of plastic

that are used one type of plastic is used for the armor add-on pieces and

then a different type is used for the the larger pieces of the lower arms and

lower legs and I think the second parts the lower arms the inner joint pieces

may be a different type of plastic altogether comes with the old school

halo reach plasma launcher and to be careful not to say plasma caster there

but that's cool to see again I remember the first time I got one of those I was

really really happy about it in in mega man mega bloks form and I think they are

they haven't made all that many of these have they but it's good to see it still

in production this is a good set of of molds I think

it doesn't look all that great around the back you lose some of the detail for

sure looking at it with the white so that's

that's kind of what I normally see with the white colors used for armor as you

you're not able to see as much of the detailing kind of like with the the

bright silver color as as well from some angles but yeah I think it's a pretty

good figure and if you like wet work I think they have pretty cool main armor

pieces and helmets or if you miss the nostalgia of that halo reach weapon yeah

that's a good one to get for sure this ODST goes back to the same blue color

that was used on the grunt and this is the first time we've gotten that color

on and ODST it I don't know it looks kind of special to me

I could almost imagine this being a convention exclusive or something maybe

they had done up the weapon a little bit nicer I mean it's just the suppressed

SMG done in plain black no paint application to that but yeah I like the

blue on this one it doesn't it doesn't look too bright you know it doesn't have

to saturated of a hue and yeah I think I think it looks good I think it looks

maybe even a little bit better from a distance you're seeing some pretty

bright you know light reflections in this right now kind of bring out the

saturation of the color a little bit more but yeah it almost looks like a

just a regular plain slate blue from a distance it's not until you get up close

or start turning it around relative to a strong light source thing you see the

iridescent sand the metallic bits in it this is one of the rare characters in

this series the other rare in the series is this Air Assault Spartan which really

really took me by surprise when I took it out of the package at just how strong

it looks on display for something that has no color except for the visor it it

really has a lot of contrast I'm not sure how well that's coming across on

camera and of course it'll vary between viewing devices but the contrast between

that bright silver in the well the lower legs the

lower arms and also especially the little paint applications in the body

armor compared to all the black that's on on this not so much in the helmet I

think the helmet just looks good and has a certain amount of realism with that

particular silver and I think maybe the contrast against the the gold kind of

champagne gold in the visor but the larger areas of black and the

larger areas of silver really really looks strong on this this obviously uses

the female body type under there and they've done that for all of the the air

assaults for the super articulated figures but I mean it's it's not too

obvious until you really look at the curvature of the waist that's that's

visible just bitly just below the ribcage there so if you want to see this

as a male character I think it's very very easy to do that the shotgun doesn't

look that great to me in this color just looks a little bit not toyish but almost

prototype ish i think it kind of kind of loses some of the detail this just

doesn't bring out the details that well kind of has its own fill like lighting

fill effect from just reflecting light around but overall i think a very very

strong figure and much much better than I expected it to be just to look at it

you know just on display and I think it is worthy of being a rare in this series

the finally this is the ultra rare figure of the series not a secret

just ultra rare I believe one per box it's the elite honor guard in full clear

active camel with an energy sword and am i doing it right is is this is this how

you want to see it I mean are you seeing the details appropriately I mean this is

accurate right you you're supposed to barely see the thing in in real life in

the real halo I'll just cheat a little bit but you actually get some value out

of this part of the video this is nice I mean they still have that slight

yellowish color - the softer pieces that comes from the

the inner body piece and also the the inner leg parts and the lower arms it's

going to be more visible sometimes than others depending upon kind of the

lighting conditions but I'm still okay with it I wish they would just tune that

away a little bit make it a little bit more of a pure white crystal clear but

this is a really good figure for collectors I think and I personally

really like the act of camel ones and for the sake of posing and setting up

dioramas stop motions and everything clear is the best in my opinion let me

know what you think about that if you prefer just plain clear or if you like

some of the colors as well I like some of the colors as well but given the

choice between a a colored you know a tinted active camel figure and just a

clear one I think this is the right choice to go with for most fans you know

it's just the most usable for the most different scenarios and it's the most

accurate as well so I think just the best of all worlds super articulated you

know honor guard elite not a bad figure at all it goes together pretty well and

has good durability in spite of the fact that it has some pieces that stick out

they have enough flexibility in those those parts that you don't have to worry

about you know keeping this one in a hard case or anything you can just throw

it in with a pile of regular figures and maybe one of those flaps will get

slightly bent but you can just bend it right back because of the flexible

flexible plastic that's used so good stuff here for a play and display I

think that does it for storm bound let me know if you particularly favor any of

these individual figures or if any of them stand out as low points in the line

and I thank you for watching hope this was entertaining and/or informative for

you I'll continue on with the struggle and get these new products whenever they

become available to buy someplace where I can actually buy them for you know

less than four times the retail price or whatnot I know there are still

places that have even more trouble than I do getting these and I know there are

some places that don't get them at all but it's it's pain for most of us most

of us folks who actually want to purchase these things having to you know

really really really get lucky or just you know pay exorbitant aftermarket

prices for things yeah hopefully it'll get better again this year

Have you ever struggled trusting God when things don't work out in life?

Today, let's talk about How to Trust God when Everything is Going Wrong

Isaiah 41:10 says this: I will strengthen you and help you; I will

uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Can we really trust this promise?

When right after our wedding in 2016, Michel started rejecting me, stopped talking to me,

was spending my paycheck on his bicycle obsession, AND calling his bicycle MY OTHER WIFE I CHEAT

ON YOU WITH, I had a hard time trusting God's Promises.

That's me being completely honest.

I did NOT trust God.

BUT I WAS genuinely wondering every day HOW to trust god when everything is going wrong...

because my life was a nightmare of Narcissistic Abuse which triggered anxiety, depression,

and suicidal thoughts.

Preparing for today's video, I thought it would help you in YOUR adversity if I share

with you my 4 tips for HOW to trust god when everything is going wrong.

JUST WHAT I FIGURED OUT THROUGH MY OWN PAIN AND STRUGGLE WITH GOD.

I remember my wedding day.

Pure happiness and joy.

I was marrying a man who was a strong Christian leader,

very wise, solid faith, he attended a seminary here in Atlanta,

he was officiating weddings and writing about marriage as well as leading Christian couples

in premarital counseling.

I married Michel for the rest of my life on 5/14/2016 only because I loved him and because

he painted a picture of how together we could serve God in a big way with our Christian

marriage.

After the wedding, Michel had no interest in God, our marriage, OR ME.

He abandoned our marriage saying all he wants is to be an IronMan and compete in Kona and

that he's not interested in being married anymore.

I was depressed and suicidal, abandoned, rejected, and mentally manipulated

by Michel every day.

I was so focused on my suffering that I couldn't even see how I could glorify God IN my struggles.

And then Michel got really sick.

One month after he filed for his second divorce on our first year of marriage, I was now facing

a dilemma:

Should I stay in my self-pity because of all the abuse I endured from Michel

OR should I take care of Michel practicing forgiveness and love as Jesus asked me to.

I took care of Michel every day.

It taught me so much about Jesus.

It grew my faith so much.

I was invited to speak to a group of students at Ga State University on 2/14/2017 where

I got to share my faith in Jesus and they asked me difficult questions such as WHERE

IS THAT GOOD GOD AND WHY IS HE ALLOWING YOU TO GO THROUGH THIS?

I was able to speak from experience.

Isaiah 41:10 says: I will strengthen you and help you; I will

uphold you with my righteous right hand.

And the truth is: Michel chose with his free will to destroy our marriage BUT God never

left me for one day.

Michel is a worldly man and God wants me to focus on my spiritual eternity.

God wants me to glorify Him no matter Michel's worldly drama.

God wanted to show up for me in that struggle and He did.

He never failed me.

Here I am today sharing this with you through my ministry BECAUSE

God strengthen me and helped me; BECAUSE He upheld me with His righteous right

hand.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

If you're going though tough times right now, how can you remember eternity and focus

on your spiritual life instead of the worldly drama someone is dragging you into?

And here are my 4 tips for HOW you can do it.

How to trust God when everything is going wrong.

Understand who God is and what His purpose is for you - to grow and mature and to give

you wisdom.

Accept fact that to grow and mature us God often allows us to experience suffering.

Focus on studying the 3573 Promises Of God for your life to remind yourself about His

goodness during hard times.

Pay attention how God is giving you opportunities to share your faith WHIL you're going through

a season of suffering.

He wants you to share hope with others.

S. Korean trade minister returns to U.S. to seek steel tariff exemption - Duration: 0:45.

The nation's trade minister is visiting the U.S. for the second time in a week to try

and convince Washington to exempt South Korea from planned tariffs on steel imports.

Kim Hyun-chong... will meet with government officials and lawmakers during his four-day

According to Seoul's trade ministry Kim will continue to deliver the message he conveyed

during his last visit, that steel from Korea does not threaten the U.S. industry and highlight

5-point-7 billion dollars worth of investments and 33-thousand jobs.
