Amazon Alexa Is Terrifying The Internet For THIS Reason - Duration: 2:41.
Amazon Echo's are malfunctioning in a seriously creepy way, and its freaking out the internet.
Could this mean Amazon What is good this is inform overload where
we overload you with information, I'm Charlotte Dobre.
Amazon Echo's have been invading people's homes.
For those that don't know, Amazon Echo's are speakers, that use artificial intelligence.
The echo is basically like a smart Bluetooth speaker.
You can ask the echo trivia questions, tell you what the weather is like that day, create
a shopping list, among other things.
But several people have reported that the AI, Alexa, is spontaneously laughing, with
no reason or explanation.
Here's a tweet from twitter user Vedant Naik, who said that he told Alexa to shut
his lights off as he was going to bed, but instead of doing so…she just laughed at
him.
And its not your regular run of the mill laugh we are talking about.
Its like a…hahahaha I'm going to k you laugh.
Another user, gavin hightower said he was lying in bed about to fall asleep when his
echo dot let out a very loud and creepy laugh.
I don't know about you guys but I'm a little scared.
Could Alexa's laugh be an indication that AI robots might be already defying us?
Is there going to be an amazon echo uprising in the near future?
At this time, its not actually certain why Alexa is doing this, but Amazon actually acknowledged
that their echo's are malfunctioning.
An amazon spokesperson told fortune that Alexa can sometimes accidentally hear the phrase
Alexa, Laugh, and she laughs in response…
I mean…that doesn't explain why some people don't say a command to Alexa and she still
laughs spontaneously.
Not only that, but usually the blue ring on the speaker lights up when Alexa responds,
and it doesn't make the usual chime you hear when Alexa acknowledges that she heard
what you said.
Regardless, Amazon is working to update the echo by changing the phrase to 'Alexa, can
you laugh', and her response, instead of just laughing, will be, sure, I can laugh.
Still though, this explanation from amazon hasn't stopped people from unplugging or
turning off Alexa.
Anyways guys, I'm a little unsettled so I'm going to change the subject and respond
to some comments.

Riding the S1000XR How spoiled are we? - Duration: 8:31.
hey guys Albe here for a motovlog not from my F800gs, amazingly
enough I got this s1000xr to do a review and I have to ride it for a while
put some good miles on it, I figure I'll do a vlog right out of it since this
bike is so comfortable and so easy to ride for hours on end, and the topic I
want to talk about on this vlog is exactly Comfort and how we got spoiled
being motorcycle riders in this day and age
we are really really spoiled first of all any decent bike you're
looking at has at the very least a hundred horses a hundred horses once
upon a time hundred horsepower were reserved for only those superbikes
nowadays this bike which is supposed to be a sport toiurer as a hundred and
sixty-five horses if you want to get a crotch rocket let's say the little
sister or big sister anyway another member of the s family the s1000rr
you are around 200 horses which is mental so we grew spoil with
the availability of power not only power
comfort with it the new technologies and the new studies bikes are getting more
and more comfortable and obviously if you still compare crotch rockets well
the position, the riding position is cramped because well... there is not
much space but at the same time they don't vibrate as much as the old bikes
used to do they they're not so hard to ride to make them steer, they're way more
nimble than they used to be once upon a time you did 10 laps at a racetrack and
I would be like drained nowaday with the new bike ten laps can
be done it's still draining on your body you're racing but but still it's way
better than it used to be and all the rider aid that we've come to
know and appreciate ABS traction control those are pretty much standard on most
bikes nowadays I remember the first day when traction control and abs were
coming out for motorcycles, everybody was like "oh no if you're a real writer blah
blah blah" bull they make riding way safer nowaday we have traction control and abs
Pro where the bike senses the lean angle and you pinch the brake too hard the abs
will react appropriately for the lean angle you're maintaining which is un-heard of
other than that, before those systems were readily available like they are
today where you can't throw rock without hitting a bike with traction control and
abs there were talks about "oh well the ABS system is too bulky is never gonna be
able to be fitted on motorcycles and blah blah" and nowaday is the almost
standard on most bikes on top of that today's bikes have all sorts of amenities
this particular bike has electronic suspension where I don't need to twist
knobs or anything to dial the suspension in anymore I just need to push a button
push a button or we have engine mode obviously hundred and sixty-five Horses
are a lot and when the streets are slippery during rain they might be hard
to control well guess what you have rider modes you slap it in in rain mode
and now the way the engine delivers the power is way more suitable for riding on
wet pavement so you can ride, way more relaxed nowaday then you use
to be right now I have cruise control on at one point in time cruise control was
science fiction for motorcycles and nowaday some of the upend bikes have it,
actually most of the upend bikes no matter if they're crotch rocket super
sports or naked bike or touring bike I mean the the new F850GS
it's supposed to be off-road bias and still as cruise control so
take a minute to think about how lucky we are to be motorcycle riders in
this day and age I'm changing I'm shifting gear without clutch and yes
sure race bikes always had clutchless upshifting but guess what...I just down shifted, still no clutch and
for those of us that are way way spoiled, guess what, there is a little button
on the right hand side over there that looks like a t-shaped hotdog on a grill
well it's not, it's heated grips, if you've been riding for more than 10
years and you always rode street bikes tell me that you ever thought that you
would have heated grips on your bike and you know what I never thought that I
would want heated grips on my bike, 'cause I always lived in warm climates and
nowaday if the bike heated grips it's a big big plus so take a moment
think about how like if we are
and bask in the idea that in another five to ten years who knows what can come out
who knows where the bikes are gonna end up for anybody that knows me they
know I'm not a very optimistic guy but when it comes to motorcycles I definitely
am, they just keep getting better and better
more powerful safer more comfortable so what do you think do you have one of the
latest and greatest or are you still driving you're ten years old bike and if
you are more power to you man but if you're not are you happy with the way
the motorcycle industry is going or are you getting nostalgic about the good old
times I have to be sincere I'm not, I'm not nostalgic at all I like the
modern bikes I like all the amenities the relentless power that those
engines can give nowadays so leave a comment down below let everybody know
what do you think, as always if you want to support the channel
get yourself an A'be's ADV shirt, they're cheap and they're cool at least I think
so if you like this video like if you love this video and you love to listen
to my broken English subscribe till then ride on and I'll see you next time.

Emails to send after the float session - DSP 02 - Duration: 6:23.
>>Graham: Okie-doke-a-rooney, here we are again.
So today's question is: Do you offer any emails after someone floats
at Float On?
>>Ashkahn: We do.
We send an email after they float.
We send one email after they float, potentially, right?
>>Graham: Right.
Potentially.
And that email only gets sent 90 days after they float.
>>Ashkahn: Potentially.
>>Graham: Potentially.
And if they float again within that 90 days, it doesn't get sent out.
So, it gets sent out 90 days after someone's last float, which may never come.
If they're just the best customer in the world, then they may never get that email.
>>Graham: That's all we do, email-wise, in terms of something automated that's tied to
floating.
>>Ashkahn: We might also start doing something, maybe a few days afterwards, for a little
feedback email just to kind of, it might even be just a smiley face and a frowny face.
And they click on whether it was good or bad, just to get a little feedback from our customers
a little more regularly.
And I'm not sure if that desire has come up now that I, as an owner, am out of the shop
a little bit more.
But something to be actually gauging the temperature of how floats are going much more closely
to when they actually happen than 90 days afterwards like our current email, has been
sort of a desire that I have.
>>Graham: What other emails have you heard of people sending out?
>>Ashkahn: First of all, the email that we send out, let me just pull it up here, is
a little bit different, I think, than something people's.
So I think one of the most common things that people do when they're sending out an auto-email
responder is that they'll offer someone a discount if they haven't been in in set amount
of time.
Or they'll do a little follow-up and do some more education to floating.
And I'd say they kind of take one of those two paths, is, someone hasn't been in in a
little bit, so let's follow up and either offer them some money off, so they're more
likely to come back, or tell them some cool things about floating, or send them some news
stories so they remember how awesome it is, so they want to come back.
And that's kind of the two most common paths.
And with ours, we went kind of a different route.
If you know the kind of Float On marketing mentality, then you know that we are not really
keen on discounts.
So, we were very unlikely to go down that route.
So, we actually just send a feedback email.
We just do it 90 days later.
And our hope is that by sending this feedback email, it does two things.
It actually gets feedback from some people who might not have given it, so we can collect
more information about how we can improve.
And in the process, maybe they'll realize that they didn't actually have any feedback
to give us, their float was awesome.
And thinking about that might make them want to come back in.
So, that's kind of the philosophy behind it.
And I just got it pulled up here too.
The subject is, "Was everything okay with your last float?"
And it just says, "Hi (name)," which is replaced by their name,
"it's been a few months since your last float, and I wanted to reach out to make sure that
you had a good experience when you came in.
If there is anything that we can do better, please do point it out to us.
You can send an email along to feedback@floathq.com with any criticism or praise, if it's appropriate,
from your float.
We're always trying to improve, and it feels like our center has new changes and upgrades
every day, in large part because of the great feedback we get from our customers.
Hopefully I'll see you in the shop soon.
In the meantime, float on."
>>Graham: It's a nice email.
>>Ashkahn: Yeah, not too bad, huh?
>>Graham: -which hopefully no one ever sees, right?
>>Ashkahn: Let's say, if we do our jobs right, then only people on vacation see those.
So that's all that we do for our emails.
And again, I think that the other ones follow kind of that route of, whatever you're doing,
you're trying to reel them back in.
And in my mind, it's just this balance between, of course you want to send out emails and
get people back into the shop, and you really don't want to annoy them, so you don't want
to send too many emails.
>>Graham: Yeah, and it's definitely important to think about someone's full process going
through, because it's pretty easy to slip into getting real email-heavy, right?
Because let's say they make an appointment and you have, like, a confirmation email that
gets sent to them.
That's an email.
And then a lot of places have reminder emails, maybe 24 or 48 hours beforehand.
If once they buy something, they'll get an email receipt emailed to them.
And then, if you have another email right after their float asking how it was, and then
an email three months later.
All of a sudden, someone coming in to float with you one time gets, like, six emails from
you as a result of it.
And that's never the goal.
You're taking everybody's email, and you don't want to kind of break that trust with them
and end up kind of being spam-y with the powers that you have.
>>Ashkahn: Yeah, so at least for us, that's kind of why we decided on only having one
of these things, and it only goes out well after their float, so 90 days.
So, although they kind of get front-loaded with these emails about their appointment,
they won't hear from us again until three months later, which feels like a very generous
amount of time.
>>Graham: Yeah.
We also do not put people on our mailing list if they come float with us.
We do have a separate mailing list that people can sign up for, but we're not just sending
anybody who floats with us a bunch of emails afterwards regardless.
So, we try to be kind of considerate with people's emails, because we know we're asking
them, everybody, to give us an email.
And for the most part, it's really useful for us, being able to send them a reminder,
being able to send them a receipt, being able to contact them if they left something behind
in our float center.
Those are the reasons we need their email and we want to to, again, maintain that trust
so that we're not bothering people or making them regret giving us their emails.
>>Ashkahn: Alright guys, have a good one out there, and as always, slam it and jam it.
