and I'm here at Volvo Cars at the LA Auto Show
and I'm here to check out a couple of things
first, we're going to check out the future of infotainment systems with Google
and we're going to check out the future of autonomous cars, in terms of safety.
The next generation of Volvo cars will contain
a new version of the Sensus Infotainment System
powered by Google's Android operating system, which is also open source
here to talk to me more about it is Nisha from Google
- hey how's it going - you all right
so talk to me more about what this is all about
and the interface, what this empowers us to do in the future?
Right, so essentially we're going to be having these Volvo cars running Android natively
which means that out of the box users are going to have access to a head unit
that has offerings like maps, assistant, can play their music, can run the play store
and they can download whatever apps they would want to use in a car.
We're really excited to be offering these services
and seemlessly connecting the offerings with the car itself
so users are going to be able to use the assistant to check their fuel level
or navigate to their destination without having to take out their phone
and plug anything in or run any sort of app.
As we all know, safety is a very vital part of Volvo's DNA
and for self-driving vehicles safety is also very vital
so this is Luminar
Luminar uses LiDAR technology to detect cars, objects, people
up to 250 metres away making it a lot safer for us
so for self-driving vehicles it means they can see further than they already can.
I'm here with Billy from Luminar to tell me more about how this works

I'm good thank you, so tell me more about this LiDAR technology.
Yeah, absolutely, so we at Luminar build the world's highest fidelity LiDAR system
we build a high-fidelity 3D map of the environment
which lets you see all of the objects out in the field of view
even all the way out to 250 meters.
Amazing, so for consumers at home who are thinking about self-driving vehicles
how does this benefit them? How can they visualise this in the real word?
Yeah, absolutely, so I think the main difference is that we allow autonomous vehicles
to move from the streets of Silicon Valley top the everyday world.
So, out on the highways in places where otherwise
the rain, the fog, the snow might prohibit that from happening.
Sounds amazing, it looks like you guys are definitely thinking about safety
which is very important to me.
Absolutely, I'd say this is a shared vision of both of our companies. Safety first, absolutely.
So what you're looking at here is our three-dimensional map
this is what the self-driving car sees.
You're able to zoom around the field of view, move through objects and around them
see the cars in the booth over there
the "This is Not a Car" sculpture here in the middle of the Volvo booth
and we are right here on the screen.
And that's using the LiDAR?
This is all using the single LiDAR sensor we have in the rafters above.

My Cafe: Christmas Update Announcement! 2018.13 - Duration: 6:39.
Hey, Everyone, I'm Ola, and today we are going to play My Cafe: Recipes and stories.
In this video I'm so glad to announce Update 2018.13, which is
going to be all about Christmas and New Year's so let's go!
So this is it!
Christmas update is already here, and take a look at that! I see ski, and someone
has already gone into the cafe. The whole exterior is really beautiful, and we see
gifts, and everything is lit, all the trees are decorated, and we also have
beautiful benches. All in all, everything is covered with snow, which is also
really beautiful! So what is this update about? Actually, guys, a lot of things! So,
first of all, what you see right here is actually the new season. So let's click
on it, which means that during the three festivals you will be able to earn
trophies, and those trophies will grow your fir tree. When you gain 500 trophies
in the festival you will unlock the first level, and it means that the fir
tree will start giving you one diamond per day till the end of the season.
6000 trophies mean two gems per day, and 22,500 trophies mean free gems per day.
There will also be a premium Christmas tree, which you will be able to purchase,
but I will tell you about it in my next video. So far, the dates of the season are
December 7 till December 23. You will have this fir tree for 17 days, and
during all those days you will be able to get free gems per day.
this is not actually it, guys! Those of us who are at level 30 already, will be able to get to
level 31. Yes, guys, this has finally happened! And the end of the year is
celebrated with the new story, which gets us to the new level! This is going to be
a story about Felicia and Elsa, again. Wow, Elsa is becoming
really popular in My Cafe, and you will be able to dig into their
friendship, resolve their conflicts, and help the ladies with this. When you get
to level 31 you will definitely be able to finally purchase the Iceberg, but
actually even if you don't get to level 31, the Iceberg table for four and the
Iceberg menu have been moved to level 30, and now you will be
able to purchase them even now. Besides that, we already see that there is some
new style (and actually it's not the only one) take a look at that! Pink lightning!
And I want to show you a screenshot of a cafe to show you the example how it can
look like. Actually, it will look even nicer at level 31, 32, and 33.
I think ,so there is much more to strive for! The game is not ending, not at all!
And there will be new stories, and new levels, and new equipment! Yes, guys, new
equipment - maple syrup, is going to be available at level 31, but first of all,
let me finish with the interior. We will also have new styles in the French style
now: this is going to be a new Champagne style. Wow! This looks so wonderful! Just
take a look at that - the chairs look like they're cork holders for champagne. And,
in all, you could think that what could be more beautiful than opera at level 30?
But, no, we also have Champagne.
Another sub style which we are going to have is
an American retro: we will have Philadelphia! This is all checkered and
red. I think that some items and decorations for example, the cola cap, and
retro clock, and Yum Yum will definitely fit in there., also available at level 31
32, and 33. I will be able to show more of that and show you the prices on that in
my next video, so don't miss it! and right now let's go further. I have already told
you about the maple syrup, and actually it will bring new recipes, like maple
Americano, Maple milkshake, Forest Delight ice cream. Oh, I adore Maple syrup! Please,
write it to me in the comments, which recipes with maple syrup do you actually
like, or whether you like the maple syrup or not. So, we also have cakes, and
we will also have some special recipes with maple syrup, as well. Get to level 31
and you will be able to unlock all of that!
Definitely, this is a Christmas update
so let's go to the interior and to the simple items: we will have a lot
of decorations here, like mini Christmas tree, Christmas star flower... Actually, a
lot of that! So, you will be able to decorate your cafe for Christmas, I
think this is going to be really nice and beautiful. Let's
go to the township, though, and actually the whole Township is also decorated.
There will be snow, and even our characters' homes are decorated with
different Christmas items. and our leagues will be also decorated with the northern
lightning, and just take a look at those balloons! they're also covered in snow!
we have new equipment, we have new substyles... This is the beautiful loading screen, we
will also have something for everyone starting from level 7. And you are
probably waiting for a new car, and yes, it has arrived and we have a new
character: his name is Andy. Actually, quite handsome young man, though I don't
see his handsomeness through his beard. And actually his story is real is so
touching! He's looking for his father and we have to find his father among all our
customers. If you have any idea of who he can be, please write that in the comments.
So, to help him find his father, fulfill his orders and you will have 17 days to
do this. This is a little bit more than usual.
Andy arrives on December 5 till December 21, and the last day when you can meet
him is actually December 21. Then he will leave on January 6, and you have to
fulfill 30 of his orders, and he is going to give you some gifts: a gold gift,
in the end, and several bunches of gems.
He will also give you some more unique items,
but I will tell you about this in my next video, and so far this is it.
So this update is going to be huge, so it's going to be a lot of fun!

yo Cupofans welcome back to another exciting episode on the cupochannel
thank you bus... hope you guys have had a fabulous time hope you guys are enjoying
the new content please do tell us in the comments below what you guys think
because we do this specifically for you today is actually a request video : one
second let me just get my phone out and Jeff mayne Jeff asked me a question on my
last post and his question was what's the difference between a cappuccino and
espresso lattes and like a Frappuccino in this video I'm just going to go
through the four different ones to explain what the difference is between
those let's do this as you can see over here this is a espresso machine I
the espresso machine is basically the machine that makes the espresso an
espresso consists of coffee beans
now coffee beans grind it down into about the thickness of table salt then
we tamp them down once it's tamp down it creates like a filter so it's basically
pressurizing the coffee together into a small little biscuits then we pop this
into the espresso machine
so Jeff this is an espresso as you can see the crema and the tiger stripes so
that's basically the purest form of coffee the way that the Italians drink
this when you go to Italy most Italians would probably consume around about 5 to
20 espresso's in one day a lot of people think it's very very unhealthy espresso
kind of relaxes you pushes up your back pressure we'll do a whole episode on
healthy benefits of coffee and obviously the unhealthy benefits of coffee and but
for now just an espresso you should always try and drink an espresso a bit
too you know before two and a half minutes after it was made because then
the crema goes away so the crema is basically that beautiful blanket on top
the question comes up quite a bit is why do you slurp islip the two reasons
reason number one I like getting the flavor of of the espresso or the coffee
onto my palate and with oxygen very similar to wine it pushes that flavor
really tight but the second reason why I slurp
especially on espresso's is it's hot and this baby comes out of about 72 to 78
degrees celsius and their Celsius and out of the machine which is fairly hot some
machines push out between 85 and 95 depending on where it is so when I slurp
this one now it was about 72 to 75 because I waited a little bit but so if
it's too hot it's gonna burn your palate or burn your tongue and then you can't
taste anything anyway so I like slurping for the flavor and of course to cool it
down next up would be a cappuccino
now of course well how did I start with the espresso well because that's the
purest form of coffee that we can take in and it is important to teach your
palate how to drink espressos if you really want to enjoy coffee, grind some
coffee tamp it down always now something interesting to note here is that a
cappuccino is also made with an espresso my espressos are wanton 24 seconds
especially with illy because that's just the prettiest flavor profile that you
can get on an extraction so there's an espresso inside so yes a cappuccino is
also made with espresso we take espresso and we add hot milk now this is
called a frother it basically is a little pipe that blows out steam called
milk we stick the frothers nozzle we stick it just into the milk just to
break the surface of the milk that when we open the frother it actually pushes
oxygen with the hot steam into the milk and then as soon as about the same
temperature as your hand you just pick it up and then you let it go until you
can't hold on to the cup for longer than two seconds anymore
then you notice the right temperature and hygiene always clean so now we've got
a beautiful frothed milk and we bump it a bit just to get all the bubbles out so
now down here you can see the espresso this side and the espresso for the
cappuccino on this side you basically swirl the milk around and
then pour it on top of the espresso to create a cappuccino
now the cappuccino has espresso at the bottom which about 25 to 35 milliliters
of espresso then we go about 80 to a 110 milliliters of milk with
about a centimeter of on top okay so now that we've got that just the
cappuccino over here if I take the spoon you can see that the frothe is fairly thick
that makes it a cappuccino now as I mentioned in my previous video if you
guys didn't see the video on the cappuccino yet do a go and check that out I
go into a lot more detail they we take the spoon pop it inside for a few
seconds just to make sure that the cappuccino is the right temperature that
I don't burn my tongue because this froth on top it actually kind of covers
the heat so the heat stays inside the cup for a lot longer so let's take a sip
at it much more creamy and a lot more subtle coffee flavor so that is a
cappuccino okay so now to the third one something you guys should realize by now
is almost everything is made from espresso so yes and espresso is the base
to every single type of coffee beverage out there so the next one that we're
doing is going to be the latte the latte is made slightly different now you'll
notice that now I extracted the espresso into a small little silver mob jug
there's a reason for that because when we serve a latte we serve a
espresso on the side so that the client can actually add the amount of coffee
flavor that they want to the milk beverage now latte in Italian is just
milk so a lotta is basically a milk beverage with a coffee flavor inside so
we need of course milk with the latte when you throw the milk you can actually
push a lot more oxygen inside to get it nice and foamy want to throw to be very
very thick now latte is normally served in a glass cup the reason for it is we
want the people to be able to see what's going on inside so you'll actually see
how much more how much they often exactly how much espresso you add to
your latte drink so let's make it
let's see the line over there so that's mulk that's the wrong so then
we add the espresso afterwards now there you have a beautiful picture get the
light there there you've got a beautiful picture of what a lotta would look like
now because this is a very milky drink you would normally add sugar to this or
what they used to do is they would throw cinnamon or a chocolate or cocoa powder
over the top so you can create that beautiful chocolaty smooth flavor of
course you can mix it up nicely
now that tastes a lot better and now for the last one the Frappuccino Frappuccino
I think was invented by Starbucks I think that kind of oh that owned that
right so do I make a proper Frappuccino I don't know I'm not sure exactly how
Starbucks makes their frappuccinos but this is our version of the Frappuccino
espresso okay so now we've got the espresso for the Frappuccino let's get
into making this one now a Frappuccino is basically consistent of what you need
for it again is a grinder some price the espresso and of course milk so the way
that produce a Frappuccino is for the ice
now some guys add water some guys add milk the milk one is nice
so Frappuccino basic is an espresso with milk and ice
that's what it looks like do I enjoy this one no I prefer nice
coffee for I prefer an espresso on ice Frappuccino
is drinkable but it's not my favorite so that is the difference between an
espresso a cup of Chino and latte and a Frappuccino hope you guys love coffee
