Youtube daily Mar 20 2018

hey everyone welcome to my channel today I'm making a Mexican recipe for you

we're making Mexican stuffed bell peppers. Now we're gonna be using some

ground beef some homemade enchilada sauce is gonna be our sauce for this and

I'm gonna leave links for you down below in the description where you can make

this and it only takes about ten minutes to do and I have a gluten free version

and a regular version so whichever one suits your needs now this recipe also

has contains some corn and I've got some you know cheese and lots of spices it's

a it's a very versatile stuffing that at the end of this video I'm going to

explain to you how you can use it in a lot of other little recipes Mexican

style you're gonna like it so I'm rockin Robin and I'm gonna show

you how to do it right after this all right let's go over our ingredients

first up we have our ground beef I'm using some organic grass-fed beef here

and we're gonna season that up with some spices now I'm using some ground cumin

some chili powder oregano and salt and also a little garlic powder next up we

need some already cooked rice mine is already cooked here this is white rice

that I'm using now if you're gonna make white rice add a little flavor to it by

using you know cook it according to the directions on the package but also

instead of using water use chicken broth you'll add a nice little dimension of

flavor there it'll make your recipe a little bit better we'll need some diced

yellow onion here's my enchilada sauce that I've already prepared have that

ready to go we'll need some canned corn here some I have a mixture of a it's a

Colby jack cheese and for our bell peppers I've got a red one and an orange

one. Now you can use any color you want just remember that

starting with green that's the most bitter flavor and then it works its way

up in terms of sweetness going to red orange and then the sweetest is the

yellow bell pepper use whichever one you like and we'll need some olive oil we're

gonna start our recipe off by first off preheating our oven to 400 degrees

Fahrenheit now we're going to work on our bell peppers now what I like to do

is cut them up and then roast them a little bit for maybe 15 minutes in the

oven before we stuff them so that they are not as crunchy I like mine a little

softer and plus I also like the extra roasting that they get for more flavors

so that's why I do it alright so let me show you when you go

to cut your bell peppers I like to cut mine in half in sort of a horizontal

direction but before you cut it you want to kind of find where it's gonna be the

flattest on both sides after you cut it so that the little I'll call it a little

boat will life kind of level okay so I've determined that I kind of like it

this way you know cuz if I flip it over both sides are pretty level it's gonna

be pretty stable so I'm gonna cut my bell pepper in half in this direction

like that so you sew both halves seems to lay

pretty pretty level pretty nice then you're just gonna take out the seeds and

you're gonna want to get rid of all these little seeds that are in there as

well and a little bit of the membrane for like I said more room for your

stuffing and I like the opening as opposed to you know some people cut the

top of their bell peppers off right here give them a slice and then they have

this you know leaving this one doesn't even stand up straight but a big bell

pepper and you know some people don't want that much maybe they just want a

half you know so I like this version better so once we get our bell peppers

prepared I'm just gonna place them on my cookie sheet here baking sheet and I'm

gonna add just a little bit of oil and just rub it on all of them give it just

a very nice light little coat so they don't dry out

so these are going in the oven for about 15 minutes but we'll check them and see

how they're doing so these are going in I'm putting them on the middle rack not

too low in the oven because I don't want the bottoms to burn. so while the bell

peppers are roasting in the oven you might as well go ahead and start making

your stuffing so I'm gonna put a little bit of olive oil in the pan here over

I'm gonna start it off at medium heat and we're gonna cook our onions for

about three to five minutes and you probably want to turn the heat down a

little bit after they get going all right so after five minutes the onions

are nice and translucent softened up time to add the ground beef so let's

break that up

you know to this I'm gonna add all those spices that we I showed you earlier I'm

just gonna sprinkle them in that was the cumin chili powder oregano salt and

garlic powder remember you can get all the ingredients for this recipe down

below in the description of the video click where it says show more and you

will see it once the ground beef is done we're ready to start adding the other

ingredients now I've already preheated my enchilada sauce which is right over

here and then I have my rice which I heated up so that's nice and soft and

ready to go so we're gonna start adding these in alright so here's the rice now

I'm gonna start adding some of my enchilada sauce now here I'm just gonna

go by the scoop holes and put about three it's probably about a cups worth

start with that mix it in and we'll see how how it is

I'm gonna toss in the corn remember to drain it okay so this needs more sauce

all right I'm gonna show you the bell peppers after about 22 minutes now you

can see there's a little bit of softening going on here and the bottoms

are getting charred for sure they're still they're soft but they still have

some good shape to them but that's enough I'm gonna take these out cuz

remember they're going back in the oven once we stuff them so the bell peppers

some of them have a little bit of extra liquid in them so I'm just pouring it

out it's time to stuff the bell peppers everything's nice and hot get that in

there and I like to fill them up pretty good you know over the top a little bit

so they're mounding why not now these are ready to go in the oven and they're

gonna go back in for about 10 to 15 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until

everything's nice and hot then we'll take them out and add some cheese to it

and then just put it back in until the cheese melts

alright everybody our Mexicans stuffed bell peppers are out of the oven they

are just beautiful they look really scrumptious and I'll go ahead and place

one over here in my dish and the way I like to garnish these up is I like to

put some sour cream into a squeeze bottle like this and it just gives you a

lot of control with where it goes hopefully it'll behave itself and you

know you can just drizzle some over just like that

and then top it off with a little bit of cilantro or parsley if you don't care

for cilantro that works too and there you have it guys

these are delicious make a great meal appetizer

whatever you however you want to do it now remember I told you about using the

the stuffing for other recipes well here's what you can do you can use the

filling for tacos for example you can use that radish your taco filling it's

perfect you could even put it in a burrito or you could even do nachos

spread some nachos or some tortilla chips over onto a baking sheet like this

one here and you know drop the filling on top of it add a little extra cheese

pop it in the oven top it with sour cream and avocado or guacamole and it is

delicious so let's give this one a taste shall we?

I really like the sweet bell peppers I probably would never use a green one

just because I like sweet over bitter it has just the right amount of crunch to

it not too much it's nice and soft and just

has that roasted flavor and then of course the stuffing has just a really

warm nice Mexican flavor to it and the sour cream on top really kind of blends

with it it's delicious guys hope you try it all

right thanks so much for watching everybody if you enjoyed the video

Uber suspends autonomous-car testing after fatal Arizona crash - Duration: 1:44.

A fatal accident in Arizona prompts Uber to suspending its self-driving car tests in the

United States.

This is reportedly the first time a pedestrian is killed by an autonomous vehicle, sparking

further fears of the technology.

For details we turn to Ro Aram.

Sunday's accident could deal a huge blow to not only Uber's long-term business model and

strategy, but the general idea of having self-driving cars out on public roads.

Uber has consistently touted that its driverless cars are safer than vehicles driven by humans.

But, autonomous cars have been prone to accidents, with some being caught running red lights

and others even colliding with other traffic.

But now that a pedestrian has been killed, the technology has once again come under fire.

Police said the Volvo was in self-driving mode with a supervisor behind the wheel when

the 49-year-old woman, identified as Elaine Herzberg, was hit.

She later died in hospital.

Uber expressed its condolences on twitter, adding it is fully cooperating in the investigation.

The issue has also raised questions about legislation related to autonomous driving,

especially amid a fierce battle between carmakers to master the technology.

In the U.S., the federal government has voluntary guidelines for companies that want to test

autonomous vehicles, leaving much of the regulation up to states.

Although there has been a gradual increase in legislation, many are still wary of the

technology.

Sunday's incident will only add to those fears and will likely spark significant calls for

reform and reflections within the industry.

Sometimes they remember dessert over the whole meal.

It's the last thing that you eat

and mostly what people remember.

Worked for Frank for, I think it's 36 years.

The years go by so quick I can't keep up with it.

Me and my sister went in and heard

that this new restaurant was opening up

on the South side.

We'd been nervous since day one.

See how excited Frank was with the new menus

and he was so excited, and I'm like

ooh I'm gonna get onboard with this.

He lookin' for someone to do all the desserts

and I asked him could I do it and

he gave it to me so

that was exciting, I couldn't believe that.

That was a great opportunity.

No I got started with my mom and my aunt,

I used to get in the kitchen with 'em

and like oh, let's see what they cookin' today

and after awhile I jump in with them,

they'll let me crack the eggs,

and you learn by seeing someone else and by doin',

try it again until you get it right, so

(laughs) trial and error.

You know, I gotta crew, this is more than just me.

(laughs) I have a great assistant that works along with me.

We usually try to go by the season.

You know, whatever is in season at that time.

That's what we try to put on the menus.

People'll call about the coconut cake,

they wanna ship it all over the world,

I mean, you know, to different states and stuff.

Coconut is really like the most popular thing that I make.

You know they think that's all we got (chuckling)

but we do have other items.

You know like for funerals people wants that,

and weddings, birthdays, whatever the occasion.

How I started that I never thought

that it would take off like that.

I come out sometime and I watch people as they eat

or when the plates come back in the kitchen

and see how clean the plate is.

It's just a great feeling that you can make something

that people enjoy.

The rest is history, here I am. (laughs heartily)

Shaolin Monks. 'IF' monks have Superpowers? - Duration: 5:52.

Self-improvement is something we would all like to practice, whether that is getting

more exercise or studying harder, it's something that we should all strive to do.

Homo sapiens are a strong species, our brain power allowing us to overcome our short comings

in strength and lack of claws or sharp teeth.

One group of humanity has become famous for their ability to train the body and mind to

achieve feats which to the average man and women seem miraculous.

Buddhist monks In this video we take a look at some of the

more extreme abilities that these masters of meditation are said to have achieved.

Welcome to if, videos posted weekly.

a video again.

Buddhist monks have long been associated with the mystic arts, probably the most famous

group being the Shaolin.

The Shaolin were formed in 495 A.D by an Indian monk named Buddhahadra.

He built a small temple on Mount Song and began teaching the Chinese the art of yogic

concentration.

This practice later became what is commonly known as Zen Buddhism.

The father of the martial arts was a man called Bodhidharma, who upon being refused admittance

to the temple meditated in a cave for 9 years.

On his return to the temple he found the monks had been cultivating their minds but neglecting

their bodies.

He then taught them the methods of exercise he had been practicing in the solitude of

his cave.

The foundation of what would become Shaolin Kung Fu was laid.

Fast forwards a thousand or so years, and we arrive at the amazing spectacles we see

today.

These highly spiritual and highly trained monks have what seems like invincibility.

Their physical capabilities go beyond their size, achieving amazing feats of strength,

from bending metal bars and smashing bricks to taking marathon length runs without tiring

and hand-stand pushups using only one or two fingers.

Their stamina and endurance are the stuff of legend, being able to withstand long periods

of discomfort and pain, their dexterity and flexibility allows them to carry out acts

that seemingly defy gravity.

Then we begin to reach the actions that seem physically impossible, from being able to

throw pins at the speed of bullets to becoming completely fearless, it would seem they have

unlocked many secrets of the human body and this has granted what one could only call

superpowers.

At the low end of these extraordinary skills is the way in which they can control their

bodily functions, there is evidence which has been verified through scientific testing

that these Shaolin practitioners can lower their metabolic rate and increase and decrease

their internal body temperatures, these two things are said to be controlled by the autonomic

nervous system and thus are beyond conscious control.

This is just the beginning, more remarkable acts are said to have been achieved.

This includes the ability to levitate, after all no self-respecting superhero can be without

the power of flight.

These monk practice pranayama, the study of the relationship between mass and weight and

this understanding is what makes it possible to levitate.

If this hasn't impressed the next ability will.

Matter transformation.

Some monks have claimed they have cultivated the practice of changing objects into different

forms, such as a rock into sugar or sand into almonds.

Some would say that these abilities are not true in the physical sense but instead are

used to teach Buddhists the practice separating the mind from the body, and thus making all

things possible.

However with science looking into and shining a light on these abilities, is it possible

that the ideas hidden in ancient mysticism have a basis in truth, and that maybe at one

point in history these were common knowledge.

Do you think these monks have unlocked undiscovered human abilities?

Would you like to train to become Shaolin monk?

Do you think these events show there is more to our existence then we can see?

Her nightmares were different this time.

It could account for something I saw when I was in my lab earlier.

There was some kind of tremor. Like an energy surge.

I picked it up on one of my meters.

You're saying Jean created it?

No. I'm saying something else did.

Maybe she was reacting to it. I don't know.

But the epicenter was halfway around the world.

Halfway around the world?

That's why I was hoping you could take a look.

Let's see what we can find.

Welcome, Professor.

Okay, the source came from Cairo.

I'll put in the coordinates.

I gotta get out of here.

Give them a report.

What? What is it?

Something happened here. I can tell them it's real.

It's her.

Who?

- Moira. - What?

Moira MacTaggert?

Give me the details.

She looks amazing. She's barely aged a day.

No. I meant...

What is she doing there?

What does the CIA want with this?

She's going back to Langley to deliver a report.

I'm going to go there...

see if she knows something about the tremor.

And you want to go see Moira.

I want to go check her out. Check out...

the situation.

Colder temperature with snow is expected _ 032018 - Duration: 2:02.

Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates.

Michelle, it's been cold all day.

I thought winter was gone by now... but seems like tomorrow we will have to bundle up even

more?

Yes.

As you said, winter might be gone, but winter-like conditions are back with strong winds that

are most likely to bring in precipitation, rain, snow, or both.

The wind caused a lot of damage in various regions, including Busan where some windows

even shattered.

A strong wind alert has been issued along the east and southern coasts, so be aware.

Once this easterly wind passes through, rain clouds will bring precipitation on the nation,

starting with the southern region tonight.

But due to the low temperatures, the precipitation could be either rain or snow, or both.

In the morning, Seoul wakes up to 1 degree Celsius.

Daegu and Busan hit 2 and 3 degrees respectively.

Low temperatures will dominate tomorrow, with Seoul just reaching 7 degrees, while Gwangju

and Busan peak at 4 and 6 degrees.

Hang on just a little longer, because by the time we reach Thursday afternoon, the daily

highs will return to the mild side, with conditions becoming optimal to go on a long awaited picnic.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.

This Is The South's Best Small Town | Southern Living - Duration: 1:27.

(acoustic music)

Aiken is a very wonderful place to be.

It is definitely horse friendly, it's the only place I know

where at the stop lights, they have the buttons that you

can push that are horse heighth.

So you can get across the street.

Fairly cheap to live in, beautiful weather.

January, warm around here, t-shirts, good place.

Hitchcock Woods, where we are right now

is a phenomenal

2,000 acre urban park

where you can bring your dogs and ride your horses or drive,

pretty much any horse sport that you're interested in,

you can find in Aiken.

Pickleball, tennis, it's a great place if you want

to just be outdoors and enjoy the climate.

A lot of transients that have moved in

and there's quite a lot of diversity.

There's a lot of French people here, English,

Irish, and so it's a real eclectic mix of individuals.

And it's just fun, it's just a really fun,

I think, very unique town.

Also, it's a really good location.

You can be down on the beach at two and a half hours

and you can be up in the mountains

in about the same amount of time.

Come on down, stick your toe in the creek,

see if you like it.

If you don't, you go back home.
