really hard for me.

people could see what I had to go through

Down By The Bay, Southern Royalty Reigns At This Extravagant Mardi Gras Luncheon | Southern Living - Duration: 3:56.

Well, Mobile is actually the original Mardi Gras.

It started back in 1703.

And I think Mobile's Mardi Gras is

such a family environment.

It really brings the community together.

It's a lot more traditional, I feel, than the New Orleans.

You know, there's a lot of history behind it.

We try to keep close to the traditions.

The Queen's luncheon is one that is very special.

I was able to host a Queen's luncheon 32 years ago.

And then my daughter had the opportunity three years ago.

It's almost like an Easter parade of sorts.

Because maybe we're a little dressier and shinier

than you would be normally during the day,

but it's all about the fun and the festivities.

My father was King of Mardi Gras back in '92.

So this is the first time the Mostellars

have thrown a Queen's luncheon,

but they've done it every single year.

And we thought it was so fun to be able to plan it together.

My grandmother, my mother, and I

have been playing since probably about April.

It's just been so fun, and great to watch it come to life

from sketches all the way through.

We really began working in the spring.

And made several trips to Atlanta to purchase things

that you cannot purchase here.

And then try very hard to bring in all of the people

who are in the business of lighting and decor,

and accessorizing from Mobile and put it together.

So we just wanted it to be Lucy's dream,

and she's been part of it

the entire process.

So while she's in school doing what needs to do,

grandmother has been behind the scenes

making sure she gets what she wants.

And I think that's what every grandmother wants.

I love that it is a celebration of the women

of our city.

And it is just beautiful.

Every year is different,

but it is always just breathtakingly gorgeous,

and it's fun to see the flowers.

It's fun to see the tables.

And it's always fun to see the hats.

It's just a big party.

But everybody knows each other,

and so we really just love seeing each other

all dressed up and the festivities.

Especially at the Queen's luncheon.

We all have our hats on, and our gloves

which we never wear any other time.

It's very special and we really look forward to it.

And we really plan for this very far in advance.

I wasn't born under a Magnolia bush

because I'm not from from Mobile,

but I've been coming to the Queen's luncheon for 25 years.

And it's just the fun of really coming

and being with your group of friends

that you're sitting with,

and getting to enjoy them and spend time with them.

It just makes a nice day.

It's fun to see the beautiful girls

in all their dress up.

And how the Queen's mother has decorated this room.

It just keeps getting better and better every year.

And then one of my favorite times,

which I think y'all will enjoy too,

is when the knights come in.

And they come in

and they have these big ol' stuffed animals.

So I've made a few of the trains and costumes

for the animals.

Which it's been fun over the years.

It's just a fun celebration.

It's celebrating Mobile

and it's celebrating the people

that really make Mobile Mardi Gras happen.

This is my current train.

And this other one is my juvenile court train.

And we designed them together.

Homer McClure is a fabulous train maker.

He is just an artistic genius.

My grandmother, my mother, and I

would meet with Mr. Homer

throughout the summer

totally coming up and preparing for this.

He would start with sketches and he'd go from the drawing,

and then he'd make it,

and we'd come and see it.

He'd say, "Do you like it?"

And like, "maybe if we tweak this".

And he's so supportive.

He's the biggest advocate for Mobile Mardi Gras.

Mobile, to me, Mardi Gras is much more family-centric,

and a little more family friendly,

and we just do things a little differently here

than they do in New Orleans.

I think it's a fun way for Mobileans to give back.

And yet still have so much fun.

I was down here today with my two year old,

picking up moon pies and beads on the street,

and then sent him off,

and putting my hat on and gloves

and got to come to lunch.

It's a huge pull,

if you grew up here and you experienced this growing up,

it is something of your origins

that you just gotta come back for a little more.

5 Detective Pikachu Facts From Our Developer Interview! (What's New, Movie, & Origin) - Duration: 5:01.

We recently had the chance to venture down down to Nintendo's Bay Area office to not

only play the English release of Detective Pikachu, but also interview two of the creators

behind the game from Creatures, the Director, Mr. Me-yah-she-tah, and the Producer, Mr.

Gin-nye.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to record the interview, so I've instead boiled it

down to 5 key takeaways.

So let's get to it!

1) New content & # of Pokemon One of our biggest questions going in was,

how much has been added to this new version of Detective Pikachu compared to the original

version that was released in Japan 2 years ago.

Well, the director immediately cleared this up, explaining that there's roughly 3 times

the amount of content with the scenario and story being more fleshed out.

More specifically, he explained that there are now 9 chapters in the game, with the content

from the original release making up the first three--even though the 2016 version didn't

split them up by chapters.

And since the developers want anyone to be able to experience the story, they've also

added a new "Easy Mode" which will give you hints and allow you to enjoy the ride

without too many issues.

Oh, and as for how many Pokémon can be seen in the expanded game-- although they couldn't

provide an exact number off the top of their heads, they did say there should be over 100

different Pokémon species to meet.

2) The origins of Detective Pikachu & His Voice

So Detective Pikachu is a pretty wild idea for a game, and I was wondering how they came

up with the idea of a talking Pikachu--and why the gruff voice?

The developers mentioned that when the animated TV series was first being worked on over 20

years ago, the creators of the show originally wanted to have all the Pokémon talk.

However, they weren't able to come up with a concept or setting that made sense to the

game's developers, Game Freak, who didn't think the Pokemon should talk at all.

Instead, they ended up compromising somewhat by having Meowth be the sole exception

And with that being the case for the past 20 years, some people on the development staff

really wanted to make Pikachu talk at some point--and that's when they began brainstorming

ideas for an interesting setting that would allow for that.

And that's where the concept for the tech demo that they first showed off back in 2013

came from.

And, as the developers explained, the underlying concept of a talking Pikachu that could express

a bunch of different emotions hasn't changed since then--it's just a lot more fleshed

out in now in the final game.

And as for the deep voice specifically?

Well, they thought that having Pikachu sound like a gruff middle-aged man would be pretty

surprising, and they hope people get a kick out of it.

3) What sets Detective Pikachu apart?

With Detective Pikachu being so different, I wanted to know what specifically they thought

players might appreciate or takeaway from the game.

The game's Producer replied that he thinks one of the more unique ideas are the interactions

you can have with this Pikachu and how it's so different from the other Pikachu you've

encountered throughout the series.

The director then added that, as part of this, all the animations for Pikachu were motion

captured--in that they actually had a performer come in and act out the scenes in the hope

that it will make it feel like Pikachu's a bit closer to you--making for a more unique

experience.

They believe that feeling also extends to the game's setting, with the town being

fleshed out compared to the main series and simply being a place that you really just

don't see in other Pokémon games.

4) Thoughts on Detective Pikachu Being Turned into a Movie

On the topic of the Detective Pikachu movie, the developers seemed excitement at the idea

of seeing their game turned into a full Hollywood movie production, calling it a "a huge honor."

But interestingly, while they might be surprised of the scope, they actually had hopes of something

from almost the very beginning-- just on a smaller scale.

They explained that they had hoped a CG or hand-animated short could someday air on Japanese

TV--even if it was in the middle of the night.

So when they learned that it as being turned into a full movie, they said their reaction

was "Wow, that's amazing."

But at the same time, they also said the idea made them a little nervous, with them asking

themselves "If it was going to be okay?"

Because beyond some input into the movie's base scenario and concept, the rest is in

the hands of the movie's production company.

However, they did quickly follow that up by saying that they're really looking forward

to it as the original creators and are eager to see what Hollywood will come up with, especially

because the developers mentioned that the movie will have a really unique story and

a setting somewhat different from the main game.

5) Detective Pikachu in Smash Bros?!

Come on, you know I had to ask this!

They laughed, with the Producer immediately shooting down the idea because part of the

setup for Detective Pikachu is that this Pikachu can't really use any Pokémon moves as all,

so he didn't think Detective Pikachu would be particularly useful in Smash Bros.

Mr. Miyashita was a little more optimistic though saying that he'd sure be happy to

see it in Smash Bros.

Effective Tips To Deal Your ADHD And Mood Swings

What is ADHD: ADHD is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Syndrome having lack of concentration, impulsivity

and anxiety as basic symptoms.

All of us confront depression, stress and anxiety in life but if it's all about ADHD,

all of your worries might seem a little magnified.

These mood swings can influence your relationships, your academics, your work and all other related

activities.

But you can deal with easily if you know the tactics.

However, if you see your mood swings going out of control, the very first thing you should

do is to consult a psychologist or psychiatrist.

Medication for ADHD can be beneficial to reset your concentration span, to deal your anxiety

or hyperactivity but ADHD is not always about this.

It comes with different symptoms that might not always be solved with medication.

But if you experience similar symptoms such as hyperactivity, trouble in staying at one

place or position, reacting before thinking, trouble in paying attention to a task long

enough or feeling anxiety, there are certain practices that you can follow to deal yourself

on your own.

Remember never to label yourself with any disorder until you consult your psychologist.

Take some time to Vent in a Week Keeping your negative thoughts and aggression

inside might turn it into a huge bubble that can cause massive destruction upon rupture.

To avoid this, make some time to let go of your negative energies with some robust activities

you like.

You can play a Linkin Park song and dance over it, you can go hit a ball with all your

force (any sport) or you can join a regular fitness class to moderate your energy level

and to keep yourself calm.

Shift Your Attention During a down period, try to focus on the

solution rather than the causes.

Attend how you can make yourself feel better rather than why it is all happening.

Don't blame yourself or any other person for how you behave during this period.

It's okay.

Prepare some side activities beforehand to deal your blues.

Make a playlist, enlist your favourite movies, series or comedy shows, put some very close

and positive friends on your speed dial to talk to gain some positive energy and get

sleep better.

Sleep Better Disturbed sleep and wake cycle is also one

of the reasons for attention deficit.

When our body doesn't take proper rest, our nerves are stretched and the body can't

attend to certain stimuli for longer.

Therefore, try to get some quality sleep (8-9 hours straight), keep the technology away

while sleeping and better regulate your sleep for coming days as well.

It can help you deal your anxiety and can offer you some static changes in your concentration

level.

Control Your Hyperfocus and Exercise More Often

ADHD is not always limited attention span but it is actually irregular attention that

you might focus on certain things.

People (adults and children equally) with ADHD usually overfocus on a certain thing

and get into an emotional trauma.

They might overthink about a romantic loss or academic loss more than they should.

To avoid such situation, try to turn your attention to your passion.

Always have some goals set in your life and involve in more engaging activities.

Try to work according to your potentials to deal your overfocus on a particular feeling

or experience.

More of, exercise regularly.

The more you move your body the more it gets rid of negative energy and anxiety.

Moving your muscles has always been one of the most effective ways to deal depressive

symptoms.

Schedule some light exercises, join gym or training classes for the cause.

But make sure you don't spend the whole blue day in your bed because that's one

of the terrible things you might do to yourself in that situation.

If you feel your symptoms rising above the normal horizon, don't waste a second to

report to a professional.

Pocket Letters: Easy Stamped Pocket Letter Process Video Part 2 - Duration: 11:31.

Hello Hello! It's me, Janette! Creator and owner of pocket letters and author of

Janette Lane Blog! How are you? Hope you've been well! In today's video I

am showing you part two of my last video which I will have linked below but

basically what I did was just share a few ways that you can incorporate

stamping into your pocket mail layouts and so I am doing a mini pocket letter

which is just a three pocket layout instead of the traditional

original nine pockets and I apologize for the terrible lighting here I didn't

realize that it had got so bright so I apologize for that it's gonna get fixed

in just a second so anyway if you want to head back to the previous video and

you can check out how I did the backgrounds or just these particular

cards that designs for these cards with some stamps some simple stamping and

some watercolor watercolor brush and now I'm just gonna add some little finishing

touches to my layout and also I have a giveaway for my subscribers I'm so

excited about it so yeah let's jump into the video I like to add a little bit of

texture to my layouts and so as you can see earlier I tied a ribbon around one

of my cards just a little mini satin ribbon and it just added a nice little

feminine touch and for this one I wanted to use my sparkly tool which I am loving

this stuff but the thing about the sparkly tool it's cannot translucent

it's see-through so I could definitely have used it you know just like as an

overlay over the whole card but I wanted to kind of play up the little dress that

my little fashion model image has here and so what I'm gonna do is again you

can see here that I'm kind of toying with the idea of just putting it over

the whole card which would look really cool because it has you know the little

sparkle little sparkly sequins on the tool but what I'm gonna end up doing is

just bunching it together and I'm gonna staple it using my tiny attacher on top

of the dress and it's gonna look kind of like a give it give the dress some

dimension some depth some texture so that it looks like a just like a cool

little sparkly fashion i guess and i promise i pinkie promise

that the lighting is gonna get better soon I apologize for that I should

remind myself to check it like ever so often to look at the camera and make

sure that the Lighting's all right but I didn't do that I'm a bad youtuber sorry

so I have attached the tool to my dress that is stapled it and I just trimmed

the excess just around so it wouldn't it wouldn't block or be bunching inside of

the pockets cuz I'm gonna insert this all in a pocket I think I'm missing a

clip somewhere here because suddenly I have some gems on my card and there

really was no rhyme or reason behind it but what I wanted to do what I ended up

doing is I'm so sorry I'm like really a terrible youtuber right now now my

intention was to cover the tiny attacher staple with some gemstones and it ended

up not looking right and I'm going to end up covering it yeah the Lighting's

fixed sorry so I wanted to end up covering my staple with a little

sentiment so what I'm gonna do is grab this sentiment just as beautiful and I'm

going to stamp it on a piece of cardstock and then I'm going to cut that

out and put that on top right across the dress so that you can so I can cover up

the little tiny attacher staple in my last video some of you mentioned that

you loved the stamp set that I was using I'm so happy that you liked it so it's

from Debbie Moore and I have it linked below in the video I'll have it also in

this video but that's the stamp set that I'm going to be working with so the

beautiful sentiment is also from that Debbie Moore stamp set and as always I

try to link up every single product that I use or find something similar for you

guys cuz I know sometimes you see something you're like I need to have

stuff oh my gosh my little bottle it's not a little about actually it's kind of

a big glossy accents modelled so I'm running out cuz I use it so much but

it's a great adhesive but it's also a great way to add some goulash enos some

glossy accents to your crafts and so what I'm doing is I'm putting squeezing

a little bit of this on top of every lip like every lip image stamped image and

it's gonna make it look like glossy lips when it's all dry and done and when

you're working with this stuff make sure to let it air dry it takes about 20-30

minutes to set properly and then when you're done it just leaves a nice glossy

finish it's a little bit dimensional so it's not completely smooth it doesn't

flatten out you know what I mean it has some dimension to it some body and I

really love it because just again it just adds a little glossiness some

glossy accents appropriate new appropriately-named

glossy accents to your all your paper craft stuff projects that you're working

on it's great for mixing yeah and I just love how for the lips it

just makes it look like that a little lip gloss a little little shine they're

such a great such a great medium I absolutely love this stuff and I am

gonna have to buy another bottle because I'm running out

so once the glossy accents dries it's gonna be like just like a hard kind of

shiny finish and you want to make sure to not touch it prematurely so make sure

at least 20 to 25 minutes have elapsed before you end up putting your finger in

it just to check the dryness of it and also do not heat set this because it

does bubble up if you use a heat tool or a heat gun so just let it air dry

just be patient get it that like put it somewhere safe where you're not gonna

accidentally smudge it or someone is you know not gonna walk by and stick their

fingers in it because that's happened to me and also I've done that to other

people my co-workers in the past I still feel so bad about that

yeah you just you'll ruin it if you stick your finger in it too soon so be

careful just let it air dry so I put my cards my three cards into my cut up

insert which is a nine pocket trading card insert but I cut it into thirds

because again this is just a three pocket layout and now I'm gonna be

gluing some no I'm not gluing yet just kidding it can be including a washi tape

sample in my letter and I'm gonna be using these plastic floss bobbins and

these are usually for embroidery thread so that you can have some your you know

embroidery floss on on these little bobbins but they're great for washi

samples instead I'm including some just wrapping a few inches of washi tape on

this and bobbin and then I'm putting it in the pocket and also including some

gonna be including some paper clips cute paper clips and I wanted to glue this

love sparkly love sentiment on the outside and also a bow and I found like

the best way to glue things on the outside of your plastic pocket pages is

to use a lot of people use like glue hot glue a lot of people use glue so

they use hot glue but I really like red liner tape it's just like it's super

strong adhesive and I totally recommend that every crafter have have some like

in different widths and so I'm using this really thin I don't know the exact

deb measurement on the width of this red liner tape but it's tiny and so it's

perfect to put just a few pieces of it behind my love sentiment and then i'm

just gonna stick that on the front of my pocket page and i'm also gonna be adding

a little bow on the front also using the red liner tape and you can add thread or

no sorry no not thread sorry ribbon like ribbon if you want to just a drape a

ribbon across your pocket then red liner tape is a great way to do that you can

also use a foam tape 3d foam tape for that but I really love I just love this

red liner tape stuff it's great here I wanted to add this pattern mini

clothespin and also a tassel and maybe some ribbon a little ribbon swatch sheer

ribbon swatch that I had and also I'm gonna be fiddling with the washi tape

sample and you know it's it's just funny as you see me you can kind of see my

thought process as I'm moving things around like doing like this no I don't

like this or maybe I should try this and it's just kind of I guess the crafting

of mindset right you try different things you move it around you you bring

it back you're like maybe if I do this does it look right I don't know it's all

just part of the fun of crafting and I love that like you know like you can

almost see people's thoughts as you're watching youtube videos and they're you

know moving things around it's just it's just funny you can see what they're

thinking so that's what I'm doing here just fiddling with things trying to get

everything right kind of the way did I like it so that's that's what I'm doing

Jeep Wrangler Axial LED 3rd Brake Light - Crystal Clear (2007-2018 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 3:12.

This Axial LED third brake light is for those of you who that have a 2007 and up JK, and

are looking to swap out that third brake light to something that is brighter, that's going

to last a little bit longer, and most of you who are gonna be using this, if you've already

changed your tail lights to an LED so you have something that matches.

This third brake light is going to install very easily onto your Jeep.

Definitely, one out of three wrench installation to plug in place, and wiring is necessary,

and just a couple of screws to get it swapped out.

But, we'll talk about that in just a second.

So like I said, if you already have LED tail lights on your Jeep, you're probably going

to wanna swap that third brake light to an LED as well.

That way, it's going to have the same crisp clean on and off, it's going to have the same

bright individual LED look, and it's going to last just as long as those LED tail lights

will because an LED will last a lot longer than an incandescent bulb.

Now, these lights from Axial are available in a couple of different colors, which will

give you a couple of different looks.

You have a Crystal Clear, a Bermuda Black, and also a Platinum.

And that's really gonna change the look of the light when it's off.

Either way, of course, you're going to have some very bright red LEDs because it is a

brake light, after all, so you want that bright red, no other color.

So again, if you pick one of the different colors, it's just going to change the background

behind the LEDs or possibly the lens color, but the lights are still going to be red.

Now, as far as LED third brake lights go, the Axial ones are going to be a little bit

less expensive than some of the other options on the market.

Recon, for example, is known for making a premium product, theirs's are going to be

more expensive.

So, if you are on a bit more of a budget or you just don't see a need to spend a ton of

money on an LED third brake light, this is gonna be a nice option for you.

As far as construction goes, this is going to be a plastic piece design to replace that

factory third brake light very easily.

It's gonna fit right in place, no trimming, no cutting, no wiring necessary in order to

get this installed.

Very, very simple to install it.

It's gonna have six red LEDs right there for you, and like I said, a direct replacement

for your factory third brake light.

I've said it a couple of times now that this is a very simple swap, very easy installation.

Definitely, one out of three wrenches, and less than a half hour to get it done.

All you'll have to do is remove two screws from your factory third brake light, unplug

the brake light, set it aside, plug in your new third brake light, and reinstall those

screws to hold it in place.

These third brake lights coming in at around $130, which in my opinion, is a little bit

pricey, but when you consider the fact that Recon, which is a more premium brand, is charging

even more than that, these do look like a bargain.

Now, you are getting all the benefits of LED with this light, so you would expect them

to be a little bit more than an incandescent light.

And, if you're looking for an LED third brake light, these are going to be some of the less

expensive ones out there.

So, if you want something to match your tail lights, this is going to be a pretty good

option.
