If you are a veteran of War Thunder, you probably know very well that our game is fairly special.

We're not speaking, of course, about boring or trivial things like sheer numbers of vehicles and aircraft available in game

After all we broke that world record ages ago, in 2014.

No, today we'd like to speak about things that can only be experienced in our game

and nowhere else.

Only in War Thunder you can:

Use your Maus to walk smaller tanks on a leash.

Owners of big powerful tanks, like the Maus, often find themselves in a position

where they have to fight against overwhelming odds.

What makes matters worse is that, as it turns out, their enemies also have tanks!

And good ones at that.

Then how can you prove your superiority once and for all?

Well, there is a solution: take your low rank pets with you!

Just don't forget your leash...we mean, the towing cable

Lest you want them to run away.

Rumour has it, the towing rope isn't just for entertainment.

Rolled out of cover and got shot right in the engine?

Not the end of the world

Teammates might immediately tow you back to safety and even help with repairs.

They do it... sometimes. I swear!

Wreck a top tier jet in your old biplane fighter in a fair fight.

Of course, under normal circumstances a biplane aircraft will never face a Korean war-era jet fighter.

But Mixed battles...well, let's just say, that it's a horse of a different colour.

In Mixed battles each player can bring a number of vehicles to the match

And this kind of situation can actually happen.

And when that happens, do not despair.

With enough skill, and luck, even an outdated I-153 can down a brand new Sabre!

Cover a half of the map in smoke.

Before the introduction of smoke screens, rushes through enemy lines were not for the faint of heart.

They are still a risky proposition, of course,

but with all the smoke grenades, smoke shells and smokescreen systems available

these acts of stupi...we mean daredevilry,

have much better chances of success.

Just don't get carried away… Okay, okay, that's enough, folks.

The smoke will clear in a few seconds.

Happily track the progress of your shell inside an enemy vehicle.

Oh yeah, better than ballet.

What will it hit next?

Sometimes it feels as if your shells have a will of their own, though.

The worst thing is when a high caliber shell goes right through a tank

without exploding or damaging any crucial parts.

At moments like those you can only hope that one day something like that will happen to an enemy shell hitting your own vehicle.

Speaking of which...

Miserably track the progress of an enemy shell inside your own vehicle.

God damn it! I was angling!

Bomb your target after flying through a tunnel!

Ah, the Alps.

Fluffy snow everywhere, no smoke in the air…

Amazing.

But we're here on a mission, to do whatever it takes to drop our bombs on enemy armour.

Whatever it takes, you say?

O-kay.

Take a look at this tunnel: this is one of the places where tankers fight all the time.

Make them feel the feelings they didn't know they had

by flying through the tunnel and dropping your bombs over their heads.

Beautifully done!

Just know that there is probably a special place in hell reserved for people like you

By the way, you can make the mission even harder by using rockets instead of bombs.

Launch a surprise attack from water.

At some locations there are water barriers that are impassable to most tanks.

Quite often your only options are to find a nearest ford or a bridge.

Or to stay whereyou are, contemplating the big questions of our existence.

But there are a few machines that aren't afraid of getting their tracks wet.

The glorious amphibious vehicles are always ready to take their enemies by surprise

and deliver the crushing blow...or just a blow.

That's still good, right?

If our matchmaking takes you to the Jungle or to Eastern Europe,

watch the waterways!

Score a win on a Schwalbe!

A lot of players consider the Me-262 Schwalbe a sub-par jet fighter.

This can't be further away from the truth!

First, there are at least four different modifications of the aircraft in the game

for any mission or taste. Or some of them, anyway.

Second, what really makes it stand out is the fact that when you get in it and fly it for a bit

you can't but feel an overwhelming urge to win despite... everything.

Go, Swallow, go!

The Best Exercise to Improve Your Drawing Skills - Duration: 5:55.

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will do an exercise

to improve drawing.

And that is because the most common error for beginners, and actually

the most common error, in drawing in general, is that the drawings look stiff,

and the lines don´t flow

so I will show you the best exercise I know to remedied this.

So that your drawings looks fluid.

This error that I mentionnated in many cases comes from making

the lines too tight.

or attempting to do a long line

which is actually a series of short ones.

This may also happen when attempting to make a curved line

or a circle.

I may exaggerating a little bit but these type of lines don´t look good

and profesional.

Therefore we should concentrate in practicing making long, fluid lines.

Do the movements with your whole arm, not just from the wrist and fingers.

To practice, I recommend drawing figures with these type of lines.

It doesn´t really matter what you draw.

I´m just inventing this one as we go.

The important thing is that your lines are continuos.

They are not broken.

The lines are nice and long.

And let´s add some holes.

One on each side.

But even these ellipses, are with continuos movements.

And I will shade the holes.

The shading will be with short lines, but even these are from one end to

the other.

Don´t stop in the middle. Be decisive!

Let´s mark the cast shadow with one continuos line...

and then shade it.

With the parallel lines which is also part of the exercise.

And I will darken the area of the shadow close to the object.

Good!

And we can add some more lines as if it had an aperture or two,

just to practice making more lines.

All right!

Let´s sketch another one.

Now a big curve here on the top, as if it were a dome or something.

It really doesn´t matter what you sketch.

The important thing, again, is that your lines are continuos,

that they are flowing, that you don´t stop. I mean that you don´t stop

in the middle of a line.

Let´s make some in another direction, like this… and we can reinforce

the base, sketch the cast shadow, and fill it in.

Let´s also shade the hole on top.

Like so.

And I´ll sketch something else over here,

such as a glass or something like that

with two ellipses, and then the sides...

So simple, but clean.

And just for practice let´s draw some planes.

One… two… and three.

By doing this, soon you will feel how your hand starts loosening up.

Now we will draw a shoe... with two ovals, the end, and then a line for

the overall shape, with an oval on top.

This of course is not a real shoe. I am making it up as we go,

we are just practicing making continuos lines, like this.

Good!

Now let´s think about a futuristic vehicle. Very aerodynamic and with

long continuos lines.

Again, this doesn't need to make a lot of sense, what it is important

is that your lines are fluid, continuos, clean, not erratic.

Let´s shade the windshield, add an air intake, a flap or wing over here.

Very good!

Everything with loose, continuos lines.

We can shade this, add something over here…

And maybe we can redesign the lower part of it.

I´m just playing around to practice making these smooth lines.

I´ll darken this further.

Good!

I think you get the idea.

Let´s just make one final little sketch over here… of a yacht.

Of course it this important for these lines, that you hold the pencil or pen

softly, not tight.

And as we mentioned that you do the movement, with your whole arm.

I recommend doing these exercises daily for a few minutes

maybe as a warm up before you draw.

And you will very soon, feel the difference.

Abandoned Drawbridge Being Removed - Duration: 6:39.

In Boot Key, FL

I'm going to tell you guys a sad story today about the Boot Key drawbridge

And how it was removed in 2009

so I'm here on location in Marathon, FL

I'm going to include a Google Maps link to this location

This is what used to be the Boot Key Harbor Drawbridge

And this here used to be the

red light that warned drivers of an impending drawbridge.

This is Eagle Signal Corporation

in Davenport, Iowa

So this is facing South right

and what happened was

in 2009

this bridge

suffered some sort of malfunction

the power cable to it, look at the

the power source

The bridge was made in 1960 so yeah

So I digress sorry

In 2009, it suffered a malfunction

and then

the city

nor the county, nor the state

wanted to pick up the tab

for the repair

They just let it go to waste

they just let it rot away.

Take a walk to the bridge tender's house.

Rep. Trey Gowdy just rang the alarm: it may be time for a new special counsel.

That is, we need a special counsel to look into exactly what Special Counsel Robert Mueller

is doing in his drawn-out Trump-Russia investigation.

In an interview with Maria Bartiromo of Fox News, Gowdy said that "we're trending

perhaps towards another special counsel" in regards to the recent outing of Democrat

chicanery with the infamous Trump dossier.

You hear that?

Gowdy wants someone to watch the watchers – namely, the FBI and its questionable handling

of the Trump dossier.

Here are more of Gowdy's comments, via the Daily Caller:

"You know, Maria, this Democrat memo makes me smile.

If it were up to Adam Schiff, if it were up to him it would have been a haiku, and not

a memo because he did everything he could to keep us from finding out any of the information

that was in either one of those memos.

So Congress has proven itself incapable of investigating this FISA abuse.

DOJ should not be looking into it.

We need an independent arbiter that's either the inspector general or special counsel."

I couldn't agree with Gowdy more.

The revelations contained in the Nunes memo from last month demonstrated unprecedented

bias within the FBI and possible abuse via the secretive FISA court in order to obtain

a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign.

We also know that former FBI Director James Comey was caught leaking information to the

press about the ongoing Trump investigation, all done in order to spark a special counsel.

There are too many coincidences involved in the whole Trump dossier saga to chalk the

whole thing up to the FBI just diligently doing its job.

We need answers.

Trey Gowdy desperately wants to get to the bottom of this.

For the best comfort, it is recommended to watch the video in fullscreen.

This mission can be either hard or easy, it depends how do you use Arcus and dangerous are the Planetary Assault Carriers.

The key to win this mission is making the Arcus elite as fast as possible because you must use its bombs, machine guns and railgun all the time.

Other units such as Vega and these GDI Vulcan tanks are used mostly as the anti-air defence against the PACs Interceptors.

Vega and Avenger Tanks (with its mines) will be used against the Scrin vehicles and infantry that slipped through the Arcus bombs.

Ah yes, Arcus bombs are quite devastating to anything below it, simply no light or medium vehicle can stand such unlimited firepower.

A little bit worse thing is against the heavier stuff like Tripods, you need to have 2-3 golden aimed shots to take down with bombs.

When Tripods are close to the Chronosphere, focus fire on them because Chronosphere is rather quite lightly protected from any fire.

Same goes to Planetary Assault Carriers, simply focus fire on them with Vega and Vulcans because they take down Chronosphere pretty fast.

The best way is to keep the Arcus still above the canyon but focus fire on Planetary Assault Carriers to take them down ASAP.

But good for you, the splash damage from Arcus will be dealt against both PACs, because they tend to overlap each other when attacking.

By the way, when your land units are damaged, you can still of course use the Crane nearby to heal/repair them from damage.

So the best way is to simply Arcus grind the experience as fast as possible and keep him in the canyon, also micromanage him when you must.

And the ending to this mission... prepare for the lulz.
