My name is Quyen

I was born and grew up in Hoi An.

I lived a very simple life.

But after I met Binh,

my life completely changed.

My name is Binh.

I'm in a wheelchair because of a medical mishap

in the hospital in Da Nang.

My father had brought me to that hospital

to treat sweaty palms.

There was a resident intern

who injected me with an overdose of hot serum

too close to my spine.

that rendered my legs useless.

And that's when I questioned the purpose of my existence.

Quyen brought a joy into my life I never had before.

Since meeting and marrying my husband

I stepped into the world of people with disabilities.

A world where, in the past,

I never imagined I would enter.

I realized that

when you're a person with disabilities

it's very difficult to find work.

So Binh and I established Reaching Out,

out of a desire to create

as much work as possible for people with disabilities,

so that they can be happy.

They could come here to learn a handicraft,

so they could earn a living

by working.

We opened the Teahouse after we gained experience

from running the handicrafts store.

The Teahouse

is a silent teahouse

and the female workers are deaf.

As a small business,

Google lets us list our business online for free.

When we listed the Teahouse on Google,

many more customers found us online.

We got more customers from all over the world.

And with more customers,

we can hire more workers.

I'm very happy because I can live independently

and help my family.

Sometimes I don't want to work any more, but I think,

if I stopped, what would happen

to the seventy people behind me?

And the seventy families behind them?

The thing that I'm most proud of

about Reaching Out is that the

people who work at Reaching Out

consider it their second home.

It is amazing to live in Verona. In every corner you can really feel the history.

But then as soon as you get out of the center you can find many women that are struggling.

So I really wanted to help the real part of Verona.

My name is Anna, I am 29, I am from Verona, and I am the founder and president of Progetto Quid.

When I was 19, I had a very tough relationship. For three years I felt like I was a prisoner.

I was able to free myself of this relationship thanks to the help of people that I met during my path.

At that point, I wanted to dedicate my time to help other women coming out of difficult situations.

So I thought, why not doing it with fashion by creating new products,

giving a second chance to leftover materials that would be thrown away.

And by giving a second opportunity to disadvantaged women.

We work with victims of violence, human trafficking.

Most of the time they really have no choice in terms of job market.

I've lost everything. I've lost my home, my family.

But Progetto Quid gave me hope.

A beautiful and affordable product together with the social project behind is giving us the opportunity to grow.

And Google AdWords is a powerful tool that allows us to reach thousands of people.

Today we have 5 stores in the north of Italy and we have 50 multi-brand stores that sell our products.

Now Progetto Quid is made of a group of beautiful women and men

that have a lot of strength because they have undergone much difficult situation.

And they really have the desire to start a new life to empower themselves.

What I want to say to Progetto Quid, especially to Anna, is a thank you.

If she never had this dream,

I don't think I would be given this opportunity of believing in myself again.

After being humiliated by a poor Oscar show and President Donald Trump, Jimmy Kimmel tried

to punch back.

But, the facts are in, and the liberal host is eating his words as he gets roasted again

and again.

Perhaps one of the biggest and most obnoxious critics of President Donald Trump is Jimmy

Kimmel.

This untalented and unfunny man somehow landed a late-night talk show.

In an era when few bother to watch, he has managed to claw out a little bit of success

in recent years by following in Colbert's shoes, and turning his light entertainment

show into a Trump-bashing fest.

The mild bump that his political stance gave his show also bought him a slot hosting the

Oscars.

But, this lackluster host did little to make the once-lauded event great again.

The show tanked, with the lowest viewers in history.

There are many reasons for the bad numbers, but they're mostly due to people hating

Hollywood, the movies nominated, and the arrogant, unfunny host.

The ratings were so bad, even the President had to chime in.

"Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY.

Problem is, we don't have Stars anymore – except your President (just kidding, of

course)!" Trump posted on Twitter.

Shaken by the bad numbers and Trump's gloating, Kimmel had to fire back, of course.

Except, it was clear he was punching way above his own weight.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt.

I mean, it's bad enough that Kimmel hosted the lowest-rated Oscars in history.

But, to try to punch back at Trump with such a pathetic jab?

I guess his soft-brained fans would believe anything bad he'd say about the President.

But, even biased polls have him doing better than the left's glorified Barack Obama.

You're going to have to do better than that, Jimmy.

Instead of firing off at Trump again, he tried to make excuses for his pathetic numbers.

Jimmy Kimmel blamed the low figures on, of all things, Netflix.

Uh, what?

That's laughable since just a little basic common sense will debunk that lie.

It is true that many, many people watch Netflix.

It has eroded traditional television's overall viewership.

But, considering Netflix's service is on demand, people will gladly pause Stranger

Things to watch a live broadcast on ABC — if they really wanted to.

The fact remains, few Americans want to tune in to see a bunch of entitled celebrities

give each other awards while they bashed the President and everyone who supported him.

Did they really think most of America was interested in seeing that?

Jimmy is more delusional than I thought!

Then, there are real numbers that put Kimmel in his place.

Like the fact that in the last few years, Oscar ratings have gone up — that is, until

he showed up.

The bottom line is, if people really wanted to watch the Oscars, they would have.

But, most Americans are sick and tired of Hollywood lecturing us about why we're so

wrong while they are the ones exposed for being involved in scandal after scandal.

They continue to cover up their crimes with hashtags and empty words.

Yet, the sexual predators and criminals continue to thrive in their midst.

But, no, it's all Netflix's fault.

Maybe Jimmy Kimmel should quit while he's behind.

will just ensure that nothing comes apart

but I'm going to leave it in here between this big clump of stitches and

then go over or through a stitch back in the opposite direction like that then

cut off the tail I'm going to work down here at the bottom the beginning of the

cap working on reverse single crochet and I'm working right between the

stitches instead of going through the chain but it is easier to work between

the stitches and continue around to the beginning
