Foreign direct investment in South Korea reached 20 billion U.S. dollars in October -- the

shortest period of time that it has taken for the nation's FDI to reach the milestone.

On Monday at the Korea-EU Investment Roundtable in Paris, the Seoul's trade ministry said

the country had secured 20-point-2 billion U.S. dollars of foreign investment this year.

Meaning South Korea achieved the feat a month earlier than last year, when it passed the

20 billion dollar benchmark in late November.

The country has surpassed 20 billion U.S. dollars of foreign direct investment each

year since 2015.

Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update.

We have a clear blue sky and no fine dust across the country.

But you should dress warmly if you're stepping outside because there is a bit of wind today.

Our Saturday looks great as well,... with sunny skies across the country,... so there

won't be any problem for you to go and see the autumn leaves anywhere in the country.

Pyeongyang will be sunny as well but Tokyo is under rainy skies.

The morning lows in Korea will be 1 to 3 degrees Celsius lower than normal though.

Seoul starts at 7 degrees while Chuncheon will drop as low as 4 degrees.

However the afternoon temperatures will rise up to the seasonal average.

The readings will be similar across the country.

Seoul tops out at 20 degrees,... Busan and Jeju hit 21 and 19 degrees respectively.

The pleasant weather will continue until Monday,...but on Tuesday, rain is expected in the central

region,... leaving the southern regions with just cloudy skies.

There's still a big temperature gap between our highs and lows so make sure you have an

extra layer of clothing to keep you warm.

the government will open about 40 sites at some 20 locations nationwide that

have so far been closed to the public including historical sites cultural

facilities and ecological preservation areas the 20 spots have been sorted into

categories such as places for family visits dates trips with a friend or solo

travelers and they feature locations from popular movies or TV shows also

during the travel week period 390 original festivals will be held around

the country government organizations and local companies will also provide

benefits for travelers during travel week offering fifty percent discounts on

tickets for attractions like Tomio shrine and kong baku intoxicant palaces

Arirang news that the removal of all mines in the joint security area in

Panmunjom has been completed as of Friday afternoon defense ministers from

South and North Korea had agreed at last month's inter-korean summit in Pyongyang

through the comprehensive military agreement that the two Koreas and the

United Nations command would remove all mines in the Joely patrol area of the

DMZ within 20 days starting October 1st above five mines were detected on the

North Korean side of the JSA during the mine sweeping while none were found on

the South Korean side with the demining now complete guard posts personnel and

firearms at the JSA are supposed to be removed by next Thursday as part of the

comprehensive inter-korean military agreement South and North Korea and the

UN Command will also plan to reduce or remove unnecessary surveillance

equipment in the JSA and share related information among themselves according

to the military agreement when the militarization measures at the JSA are

complete guard duty will be carried out by up to 35 unarmed personnel from each

side and visits by civilians and tourists from both Koreas will be

allowed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the us-led United Nations command also announced

Friday morning that it has spera fide the mine clearance done so far at the

JSA includes coordination with South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff

instead the demining process lays a foundation for the next steps in

implementing the comprehensive military agreement the UN Command stress it will

continue to closely work with both Koreas to implement the agreement

them populist the moon administration needs to reform its tax policies the

current ones are populist they're not trying hard enough because they're

measures to come the real estate market is like a living organism so the

existing problem cannot be solved in one fell swoop we will not lower our guard

and if the market shows signs of instability again we will swiftly and

Indonesian Aceh food YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT/ Makanan Aceh yang tidak bisa ditinggalkan - Duration: 5:58.

I am Marissa Iskandar and today I'm trying culinary from Aceh located at the

northern province of Sumatra

ahh, yeah, yeah, okay.....

I ordered Mie Aceh its unique with sauce made from a rich spicy curry like

soup influenced by neighboring Indian cuisine and noodles that are Chinese

influenced

it's mixed with slices of beef and shrimp fresh vegetables egg and

pan stir-fried with thick yellow noodles

Aceh culinary is known for their

spicy dishes and today I ordered my noodles to my desired level of spiciness

okay so my food just arrived

awwww.....

it smells so good

and very fragrant

I'm going to take a big bite of this

slurp.......

mmm....

you can't taste a nice curry spice to it the sauce

and then it's a little bit

spicy and has a little sweet kick too it as well

mmm...

it's very good

these noodles are definitely different than any noodles I've had here in

Indonesia I think the sauce is a lot different from the noodles I've tried

here

this was a little bit thicker the sauce

and I think its more

flavory packed with more spices

and it almost tastes a little bit peppery

very delicious

woaa....

mmm......

okay so now I'm gonna eat to with emping (Indonesian chips)

with the emping it gives it a nice crunch to it and the texture is a lot

different

instead of that soft noodle

you have a nice crispier taste

its very good

so I just bit into some peanuts

and then the peanuts give it's a nice nutty

flavor and it balances the sweetness of the spicniess of the mie (noodles)

and giving it a nice extra crunch

mmm.........

and then the beef pieces of meat they're nice

and sweet you can definitely taste the sweet spicy sauce with it

mmmm... mmm...

another Acehnese dish that is a must try is Martabak Curry Aceh

a bread like dough ROTI CANE topped with a egg batter of minced

green onions, garlic, chili, and spices and then topped with butter and cooked on a

sizzling hot fire

it's served with shallots, chili, and eaten with curry sauce

the Martabak is a little salty

but the curry sauce is really nice it has a

light rich taste to it

it compliments the saltiness of the martabak really well , I like it

I'm just gonna add a little bit of the curry sauce again

its good

woaaa....

its spicy

I bit into a fresh chili

now I'm going to drink a special drink from Aceh

Teh Tarik is a mixture of tea blended with

condensed milk poured back and forth in a pulling motion giving it a thick frothy top

mmmmmmm........

its nice and sweet

okay so overall these two dishes were really good

but I really enjoyed the Mie Aceh

it was really good and flavorful

and then the martabak was a little bit too salty but the sauce it was

nice and balanced each other out and Indonesia is so famous for their

noodles and this is just one variation that I tried and it was delicious
