I wanna welcome you to Marketing Secrets.

Today's show is about Conversation Domination.

So there was a guy, named Howie Schwartz,

when I first got started, he was big online

and he had a course called Conversation Domination

and it was about getting in Google

and if you say typed your name into Google,

all 10 spots would be you,

you would dominate the conversation, right?

You open up any platform,

and I'm dominating the conversation.

I am in your podcast feed, I am in your YouTube feed,

I'm in your blog RSS feed,

I wanna dominate conversation on every single platform.

I think I know now why.

I always wondered why nobody else is doing this,

outside of Gary Vaynerchuk in our market.

My business is built off email, right?

So we build a big email list,

we've had over a million entrepreneurs

who've been on that list.

I assumed, okay, I'm gonna launch in Instagram,

I'll send an email, and all of a sudden,

I'll have a million people on Instagram.

I'm going to go with my blog,

I'll push them there, a million people on my blog,

but with the reality, what I found is its not true.

Think about this for yourself,

how do you like to consume content?

What's your platform?

Because everyone's got one or two that's their favorite.

Do you like reading blogs?

Maybe you're a blog reader.

Or do you like listening to podcasts?

Maybe you're a podcast person.

Or do you like watching videos on YouTube,

or do you check your email?

What's your platform of choice?

And I thought that everyone's on every platform,

but I don't think that's the case.

There's a small percentage that are.

But even if we take our Facebook list,

and we write it next to our email list,

and look at those side by side,

our Facebook and email list,

the crossover in the middle is shockingly small.

We have to realize that people

that read blogs, like to read blogs.

People that listen to podcasts, like to listen to podcasts.

That make sense?

People that watch YouTube videos,

they like watching YouTube videos.

Think about this like, if I want people to read my blog,

I don't need to go become really good at Facebook ads

to get people on my blog, you can, there's crossover,

but if I want to launch my blog in successful,

who are the other people that have successful blogs

that my people are already reading,

that my dream clients are already reading?

So I need to find those people, and get them,

pay them, or partner with them, or whatever,

to get them to write a blog article about me,

because blog people like to read blogs, right?

So if I'm reading a blog and I read a blog about someone

and I go to their blog,

someone's blog needs to promote my blog.

Someone's podcast needs to promote my podcast.

Somebody's YouTube channel needs to promote

my YouTube channel.

If you hear me on podcast, you'll notice here,

You don't know me, I do podcasts.

"There's a bunch of stuff there."

No, if I'm in a podcast, I'll be like,

"Hey if you liked listening to the podcast,

It's awesome, 'cause podcast people listen to podcasts.

Understanding that, and again there will be

a little bit of crossover,

but the majority of your blog readers

will come form other blogs,

because blog readers read blogs.

The majority of YouTube subscribers

come from other YouTube channels,

because YouTube people watch YouTube.

I'd never watched a YouTube video up until

3 months ago when we launched our youtube channel.

To be completely honest, I didn't understand,

and it's so foreign to me.

I get there and now I'm in this world,

I'm like, okay, there's a lot of cool stuff happening here.

And people that like YouTube,

they're on YouTube all day long, all the time.

People who are on Facebook,

If you wanna have Conversation Domination,

the key to that is to dream 100.

Going back, dream 100 people, and then getting people

who are bloggers to read your blog.

Getting people who are podcast listeners,

to listen to your podcast, and so on and so forth,

across all the platforms.

The Witches Pond | Most Haunted Places | Bucharest, Romania - Duration: 17:09.

Jarrad come back! Are there any spirits here?

Hey guys! Thank you so much for tuning in to Amy's Crypt. I'm currently on my way to

one of the most mysterious and haunted places in all of Romania that is known

as The Witches Pond. I'm going to take you there to tell you a bit about its

backstories, its mysterious legends. I will show you The Witches Pond location

and how to find it for yourself, probably hang around till dark and do a little

paranormal investigation. Yeah, if you guys aren't subscribed yet make sure to

checking out the most haunted places in all of Romania. So let's go check out the

first one...

So the forest I'm in is getting a lot more dense now. I just had to get changed

because we were getting eaten alive by mozzies or mosquitoes. They are literally

everywhere. Yeah, things are starting to look a little bit more spooky now and

I'm not 100% sure where the lake is. I'm also kind of racing against the Sun to

find it before the sun goes down and not get lost in this forest.

So I'll update you in a little bit and see how we go.

Just heard a noise out in the woods. Hoping it's like a tree snapping.

Witches?

Wow! Yeah, this is this is definitely it.

okay.

So just behind me is The Witch's Pond. it's actually quite small so if you can

see it it's only a few meters by a few metres wide. It doesn't look very deep

but I know a lot of the legends say that there is no bottom to the lake [pond]. Im gonna

have a look around and check it out. It's very interesting, very still. It's kind of

weird that it's just here. So The Witch's Pond is just outside of Bucharest which

is the capital city of Romania. It is a very mysterious and strange place. There

is no source or spring for an explanation as to why there is water there.

Another strange and interesting thing about the pond is that animals refuse to

live in it and they refuse to drink from it. So it's said that animals in the area

would rather die of first then drink water from The Witches Pond. So how The

Witches Pond actually gets its name is because it is a pilgrimage for many

Romanian Witches as well as Witches from all around the world. They come and visit

on certain days of the year where they will gather and perform rituals at

The Witches Pond and it is said that any spell cast in the vicinity of that pond

will come true. Now, the water is also thought to have some kind of magical or

special properties. Supposedly, back in the day, women who became pregnant and

didn't want to carry the baby to term would gather here and enter the water of

The Witch's Pond and for whatever reason their pregnancy would become terminated.

So there is definitely something strange going on in this area. We have found what

looks like the remnants of a fire. So who knows? Maybe that was part of a

Witch Ritual. We do not know. It's pretty cool that it's right here right next to the

lake [pond].

It's said that the spring will never dry up but there's a lot of other paranormal

activity that happens in this area. It's said that screams will echo

throughout the whole forest and strange light anomalies will present themselves

at night around The Witches Pond. So, I am pretty lucky to be here and see

something like this. Another really interesting piece of folklore that is

connected to The Witch's Pond is that many people believe that Vlad Tepes, better

known as Vlad the Impaler or the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula,

was actually beheaded here right beside The Witches Pond. Nowm many people still

think that his spirit roams the area and this is quite interesting because you're

going to see a lot of Dracula themed videos on my channel all throughout October. I'm

going to be visiting a lot of cool places with ties to Vlad the Impaler.

So if you ever find yourself in Bucharest and you want to come and check

out The Witch's Pond for yourself I'll give you a little bit of info on how to

find its location. What is that? I think there is something in the tree. Ok take two - I'll give you a little

bit of information on how to get here. I'll put the geolocation coordinates

in a link below so you can find them yourself but essentially I got dropped

off on a freeway which is very dangerous. It was pretty sketchy - I had to walk to

the entrance of a pathway which if you can get dropped off at the entrance that

is ideal. It looks like this. You'll follow it for about 400 meters. It's

really not that far up. You'll cross a couple of intersecting pathways. Just

keep going straight and you're gonna find the lake [pond] on your left-hand side.

it's pretty small but it's easy to spot. All right so I'm gonna talk for a little

bit near the lake [pond[ and Jarrad is on mosquito duty so if any land on me he's going to

not slap me but brush them off. So I think that we've debunked one of the

myths about The Witches Pond here and that is that no living animals ever

enter the lake [pond]. So we've definitely seen frogs and that coming in and out and

if mosquitoes count as well they're definitely living in and around the lake [pond] - or the Pond. Yes, it is a pond.

Because it's quite small. But it's so green like all the algae

growing on it. It does look spooky and mystical I give it that. But yeah, while we're

waiting for it to get darker, I mean we're almost there,

maybe we try a - oh my gosh off my hand. - Maybe we try a few experiments here. All

right guys, it's not fully dark here but it's getting there. It's getting quite

late and unfortunately these mosquitoes are out of control like I'm

literally swatting them off and getting bitten, actually bitten, every five

seconds. I also have no mosquito repellent at all so they're all

just like swarming me. I'm going to try a spirit box session before I go though. I

can't leave without doing one. Unfortunately I do not speak Romanian. I

have Google Translate on my phone but it's offline so, I mean, I have no idea

how to read or pronounce any of the words. So I think I'm just gonna, I know it's

really lame, but I'm going to do it in English and see if we get any responses

or maybe something comes through that I can try and translate later. Hi my name

Are you being a baby? No, theres F***** a million mozzies. Let's go. I'm done. All of my legs!

Alright, that's what we have to do in between takes. Okay guys so I come all

the way to Romania to see The Witch's Pond and - okay Jarrad's walking off now

because he's not happy with me - but we're gonna hang out until it is dark to try a

few more paranormal investigation experiments, maybe another spirit box again

and yeah, hopefully I can capture light anomalies. Large round orbs of light is

usually what is seen around the pond . So really, really hoping this is worth the

extra 500 mosquito bits. But we're just waiting, I mean it's getting dark quite

quick, or maybe it's just because we're in the first it feels like it's much

darker than it is. It's definitely getting creepier and I'm starting to

hear lots of noises around me. I'm not sure if they are animals. I haven't really seen

any yet but I'm definitely hearing things and I really really want to see

light anomalies. That's something that I really want to see at this pond

that is supposed to be quite a common thing. Okay so we're going to walk up and

get a little bit closer to the pond. We're kind of avoiding it at the moment

because the mosquitoes seem to be hanging around that body of water and

I forgot to- Is that an animal? Where? Is it a squirrel? That little black thing? Yeah. Can you see its outline?

You might got to see on camera. it's too dark. I think it's just a rock actually

or something. It's not moving. One thing that I forgot to mention earlier

is dramatic weather differences in the area that people have reported. So it is

said around The Witch's Pond that sudden storms will appear just above the pond and

nowhere else. And it's even been reported that sudden snow fall will occur just

above the pond - nowhere else. So again, that's another really spooky strange

thing about The Witches Pond that makes this place so notorious and so

interesting to me.

Alright guys we made it it's back to the pond. I'm getting as close to the water

as I can. I'm going to do another spirit box again. Apologies I cannot

speak Romanian so it's going to be English. I think that's just a plane

flying overhead. Yeah let's give this another crack.

All right so I've heard some voices come through. It could be

interference from a radio station. It sounds as though it is Romanian and I

have no idea what they may be saying. But we might take a quick little walk around

the pond before we leave. I mean there is a light shining on me, bugs are attracted

to light, right? so they're just gonna be swarming me right now.

We're walking back it's very dark and very creepy yeah this forest feels a lot

creepier at night without all the light. it's very cool. Thank you guys so much

Google Books Tutorial - Duration: 3:38.

Google Books is a service from Google that allows users to view and preview books while accessing links to purchase and borrow them.

There are several different ways of interacting with Google Books. The first is a link from an external website.

Here we have the NHPRC LibGuide,

under the Latin-American tab,

we can see here that there's a bibliography of several different resources.

If you click on one of them it will take you to the Google Books page for it

You can scroll through and see what's available

Generally the full text of a book won't be available,

but there are links over here on the side where you can purchase the book from Amazon, Barnes & Noble,

different vendors.

You can also click the link to find it in a library which will link you to

OCLC WorldCat's page for the item and you can see whether it's available for borrowing in a library.

Because I'm connected to the St. John's network,

it will automatically show me what St. John's access to this item is.

Whether we have it in the catalog or somehow have access to it online.

You can also, if you aren't connected to a library network, see down below

local libraries that have access to this book that either have it in physical copy or online, and what you can do to try to borrow it.

Another way you can access Google Books is just through a straight Google search.

You enter your keywords. Here, we're going to look for author Janey Chou.

And then go to the more menu and click books.

See books that her name comes up in.

Here, she is a contributor so her name is here in this section,

but if you scroll up to the top you can see title page, copyright information, and contents.

You can also get to Google Books through Google Scholar.

Sometimes Google Scholar will contain links to Google Books.

So if you, for example, search for Salvadoran immigrants on Google Scholar,

you'll find a link to the book Legalizing Moves,

that takes you to Google Books.

And you have the cover and title page.

Finally, I just want to mention that you can also search just in books.google.com

And that while most books will not have the full text because of copyright restrictions,

books in the public domain are likely to be found.

So if, for example,

You search for Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglass

you can find this book, which is in the public domain,

and the whole book will be here.
