Military analyst and journalist William Arkin said goodbye to NBC after three decades and

he pulled no punches about why he was leaving.

Arkin explained his decision in a 2000 plus word resignation letter he sent to colleagues

last week, citing a lack of real reporting at NBC's support for endless war in this world.

Legal journalist Mollye Barrows joins me now.

This is not, Mollye you know, we've done, we've talked about MSNBC, we've talked about

NBC.

We always start this discussion in this, first of all, people need to go online and read

the entire.

It is scathing.

I thought it was wonderful.

I thought it was heart, it made me feel good that they're still freedom fighters within

the ranks.

Yeah, that there's still a journalist out there that's really a journalist.

So what's happened, and I talked, the best way to explain this story is when in the lead

up to war, whether it's Iraq, whether it's Iran, whether it's this new Cold War that

the media is trying to start with both Russia and China at the same time.

You all, you wonder, are they really an extension of the military complex?

Now Eisenhower, you remember, believed that the media was part of that.

He said, be very careful because this industrial military complex is going to be very dangerous

and he actually anticipated the media might be part of that.

Now we see that certainly MSNBC, if you watch MSNBC in a lead up to war, you're going to

see Boeing commercials.

You're going to see McDonnell Douglas commercials.

You're going to see these military commercial where it's not like you're going to go out

and buy a missile.

You're not going to buy a cruise missile, right?

So as you're watching the ad, you're going to wonder why they're advertising on MSNBC.

It's because these cats like Phil Griffin and Andy Lack are sucking in the money and

in exchange for sucking in the money from advertisement money, they're willing to say

whatever has to be said.

What's your take?

You're exactly right.

Now, he didn't go into a lot of those details, but basically the picture that he painted

is, hey, I'm a 30 year journalist, military analyst, author.

I've been working at NBC on and off for three decades and every single time whether I've

been covering 9/11 or I've covered the Cold War, when I tried to cover the real issues

that led to us being in these conflicts to begin with, those issues get brushed aside.

No matter what angle that he pitched, basically they didn't want to hear it.

They only wanted to continue the war cry.

There was only room for one war cry and that was to go along with whatever our military

leaders set at the time needed to be done.

So if the war on terrorism called for going in and multiple strikes on Afghanistan with

no real clear plan of leaving that region or what our plan of success would be in the

Middle East.

When you know, Trump even talks about leaving Syria, he hits on a lot of broad issues and

in a nutshell he says, yes, we have a trump media circus.

We're wrapped up paying attention to all the little stuff and we're not paying attention

to the big stuff, but he's brinign up points.

But Mollye, it's not just Trump.

It's Obama...

That was his point.

Obama was just as bad.

Bush before him was, of course got us involved in Iraq.

And that was his point as well.

Okay, look, Phil Donahue, I lay this at the feet to MSNBC because it's so tangible there.

I know this Phil Griffin cat.

I know how they think.

I know Ed Schultz, of course, who you know used to be the anchor on this program.

He and I were dear friends and he would often talk about the idea that they would not let

them be critical of military issues.

That's what he was saying.

Just like, just like TPP issue.

Ed Schultz understood how dangerous the TPP issue.

He talked badly about Hillary Clinton.

They wouldn't let him do this.

And so, Phil Donahue, you remember Phil Donahue?

I remember Phil, the original talk show host.

Phil Donahue was the guy that came out against Iraq, one of the few people who had enough

courage around NBC.

All the other NBC cats had these big maps on the floor and they were talking about embedded

journalist in the, you know, they'd follow around the map.

It's the entertainment game.

It keeps you focused on the little stuff in the middle.

And you talk about, oh gosh, it's poor Obama can't stop these inmates from being waterboarded.

He can't go close Guantanamo Bay and this is what Arkin was saying that it becomes,

it's just too big for him to be able to take on some of these big problems when they're

not even addressing the real problems.

Why can't we shut down Guantanamo Bay?

What are the, what is our foreign policy when it comes to Syria, Afghanistan, and the war

on terrorism, what does success look like?

We're not really holding our military leaders accountable.

And he was saying, and we're not even reporting on their mistakes.

Progressives to some degree, I mean the really fringe progressives, have become warmongers

all because they hate Trump so much.

You're right.

And it's a very dangerous thing.

And that's not journalism.

No, it's not journalism.

They are absolutely, NBC I'll say it again, is part an extension of the military complex

in this country.

Well, thank you Pap and thank Arkin for getting this conversation started too.

No question about it, he's an interesting character.

Thanks for joining me, okay.

Thanks Pap.

MARCELINO POST-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE REAL VALLADOLID - Duration: 3:10.

I want to thank the fans for the great support they gave their team. Their behaviour was great.

In moments of difficulty they got behind the team and I think this is the way that we will convert deserving to win into a victory.

With their support, the players play with more confidence. We had a good came and we're frustrated at not having been able to turn our good play into a win.

But I do want to thank the fans for their extraordinary behaviour with the players.

We need to focus on the day-to-day and the next game, on competing in every game and getting wins.

To be powerful in the Europa League, you need to get wins. Confidence is what is lacking. We need to do what we have done in many games and get wins.

That starts with Tuesday's game, then we've got the next game in the league.

To be winners, we have to turn competitiveness into wins. It's about fluidity and finishing.

In a favourable situation, this team would have finished off 3 or 4 clear chances.

We have to turn this around by insisting. Insisting that these players know how to compete in adversity and face it decisively. It will make them more powerful individually.

It's clear that words have to be backed up with actions. We talk here, which is easy. Much easier than showing with actions. We need to show.

We're all annoyed today, but at the same time I'm proud of the team's play and hard work.

In a situation that is negative, with the previous results and what happened in the game, they kept going.

I can only thank the players for their work and for wanting to win until the 90th minute.

RAKK ILIS RGB Mechanical Keyboard - Unboxing & Review - Duration: 11:42.

Recently I've checked out a bunch of budget mechanical keyboards, and I've been really

impressed by some of them, and seeing what can be delivered today does get me excited,

as quality mechanical keyboards become more accessible.

So today we check out another contender in the market, the Rakk Ilis RGB mechanical keyboard,

which actually comes out of the Philippines, so yeh, this video will mainly be for them.

Opening up the box we have the keyboard itself, and a user guide.

In the hands it feels good, with minimal flex, and a good solid heft to it, coming it at

about 1 kilogram.

Alright so looking at the layout of the keyboard, it isn't a normal one, and is part of what's

special about it.

It has 96 keys, so for reference, a typical full sized has 104, and a typical tenkeyless

has 87.

And that's basically what it is, it's a cross between the two.

And they've done this by combining the traditional nav cluster, with the number pad.

Perhaps the most well known keyboard like this would be the Cooler Master Masterkeys

Pro M. And the Vortex Vibe is similar as well.

But what I like about this, is that they didn't leave the top right corner empty, so we have

a proper complete tenkeyless keyboard.

So how does this work.

There's 2 modes.

The TKL mode, and the Numpad mode.

And to switch between these, we press the key in the corner.

Which by the way, is completely different.

Like it's a UV coated keycap, so the finish is different, and it's like a tiny bit shorter

as well, so yeh, kinda weird.

But I digress.

The TKL mode makes it so it's exactly like a TKL, and in doing so, disables the other

keys around it.

So if you want to use the arrow keys, you have to be in the TKL mode.

And then the numpad mode simply gives you the numpad.

Therefore, you can't use the numpad and the arrow keys simultaneously which can be

a problem for many, and is the drawback with trying to merge the two together.

And that's why the other 96 key layout, often seen with custom keyboards, and even

like the Leopold FC980, are good because they're compact, but don't have that compromise.

So it's quite a bit shorter than a full sized keyboard, but only 1 column longer than

a tenkeyless.

So it's kind of like a superior tenkeyless keyboard in my opinion.

And with that more compact size, it gives you more space on your desk, more space for

mouse movements, it's ergonomically more comfortable, and is a bit more portable.

And I just like how it looks as well, like it's packed with keys, making it look a

bit neater for me personally.

The keyboard as a whole looks pretty neat as well.

It has a very traditional exterior design, with sizeable bezels, and just a straight

forward rectangular shape.

The white case is very contrasting from the black caps, however, we can do this.

So as with all keyboards with a plastic enclosure, you can take off the plastic top shell.

But with this, it's actually meant to be taken off, as it's held on just by the magic

of magnets.

And when you take it off, it now looks like a typical floating key design keyboard.

The plate is made from steel, so that's how it magnetically attaches, and it's flush

with the plastic bottom shell.

And we even have some Rakk branding on the side, which I guess reinforces the idea that

it can be used this way, but yeh, a bit too much for me, because it does look pretty nice

with the all dark aesthetic.

So yeh, pretty cool that you can change it up a bit, and this also means that you can

do whatever you want with the plastic shell, which we'll do later in the video.

Looking at the bottom of the keyboard, we unfortunately have a non removable cable. We

have some rubber feet for non slip, and two flip up feet that are also nicely rubber tipped.

And then we have a plastic ring keycap puller which is pretty handy to have on board.

And then this keycap, which again is that different UV finish that's different to

the rest of the keycaps.

And speaking of keycaps, these are made from about 1mm thick ABS plastic which are pretty

thin, but are doubleshot, so the legends are another piece of plastic and will never fade

away.

The unfortunate part for me personally is the font or typeface.

They're pretty edgy and not the cleanest to match the rest of the keyboard, but as

always, looks are subjective.

And while it is a different layout, a standard full keyset will fit this easy.

Underneath the keycaps we actually have Gateron Yellow keyswitches.

And it was pretty surprising to see since I didn't do too much previous research prior

to receiving this, and I was wondering why it did feel pretty good to type on.

But yeh, so there's actually 2 versions of the Ilis.

We have this Gateron Yellow version.

And then the Outemu version which is slightly cheaper as well.

And the Outemu version like the last 2 keyboards I've checked out, are hotswappable.

So if you want to learn more about Outemu hotswap, then watch my 2 previous videos.

But anyway, these are medium weight linear keyswitches, so there's no bump or click,

and are pretty smooth.

So it's actually a great typing experience.

Gateron Yellows are and have been a good solid linear switch, with a nice weight and smooth

press.

And even the stabilisers aren't bad at all.

Like there is a bit of rattle, but honestly as you could hear, they're not bad.

And of course to tie it all up we have the RGB backlighting and software.

It does have legit customisable RGB lighting, so all the effects and transitions are smooth.

We can control the lighting on board via the FN key, with a couple of effects and whatnot.

However for even greater control we can use their software.

So here we can just pretty much more easily navigate through all the effects and colours

that you want.

There's the direction, speed, and brightness, but yeh, very simple and easy to use.

And then as always we have our customisation area where we can pick a key, and assign something

else to it.

So it can be another key, mouse functions, a combo key, you can open up a program, and

have a multimedia control.

For the most part, you don't want to change the function of most of these keys.

Like you wouldn't want to change the letter F to something else, otherwise, you wouldn't

be able to type properly.

But that's why we have different profiles, so that you can switch between them.

And another one of those options is a macro key, in which you record in the macro section.

So here we can just record whatever you want.

It could be a sentence, or some sort of sequence that you often use.

And you can have your delays and all that to make it suit your needs.

So another simple piece of software.

They're honestly all so similar, and there's not much that can go wrong.

So it works perfectly fine.

To take the keyboard apart, there's a couple of Phillip's head screws on the steel mounting

plate.

The top plastic shell is very standard, but nice.

The bottom plastic shell is quite bare.

Like there's no ribbing or reinforcement on the bottom surface, but I guess as always,

it's not bad when screwed to the metal plate.

The plate itself is made from 1.5mm steel, and gives the keyboard it's heft and rigidity.

The PCB is clean, and I always find it kinda funny when I get up to this part, because

I really don't know much at all about PCBs.

Like I know many of the parts, but I never have much to say.

But yeh, nice.

Alright so earlier I said that I would do something with the plastic cover.

And that's what's really great about it, because you can have that subdued look without

the cover.

Or you can go crazy with it.

Since this is from the Philippines, I'll theme it appropriately.

\

So all up, this is an amazing keyboard, because again, the price.

This is about the same price as the Tecware Phantom that I checked out in the last video,

and I absolutely loved that keyboard, saying that it would be very hard to beat.

But this, this is just as good.

I mean, the Outemu version of this is even cheaper, and it pretty much has all the features

that the Tecware did.

But, we have this removable and customisable plastic top cover which is amazing.

And then it's basically a tenkeyless keyboard, but even better, as it gives us the option

of using the numpad.

So yeh, based on that, I mean this might just be even better.

Like I don't like to say a keyboard is better than the other, like all keyboards are different,

but this is just adding more features and I truly believe that this is again, one of

the best budget mechanical keyboards out there.

All it needs are nicer keycaps, and a detachable cable, and it would pretty much be perfect,

considering the price of course.

Anyway, a special thanks to my friend Myk for hooking me up with this keyboard.

Again, this is primarily available in the Philippines, and I'll put links to those

in the description.

There are other branded ones of this lurking around, but they're harder to find.

SANTI MINA COMPLETES 100 LALIGA GAMES WITH VALENCIA CF - Duration: 2:02.

We're very sad today. I think we had a good game and had the chances to have killed off the game.

Defensively we were really good and they didn't create any clear chances on goal.

Up until, in the 82nd minute, they scored a great goal. That's football: You can't fight a great free kick from the opposition.

We have to give them credit for that. We need to turn our attention to the next game, in the Copa del Rey, which is very important for us, and keep fighting.

I think that our attitude is non-negotiable and has never been lacking. Magic moments in football sometimes give you things and take others away.

We'll be back training tomorrow, we'll keep fighting, and I want to thank the fans again for coming to Mestalla to support us.

Now we have another game against Sporting in the cup, which is a nice competition that we want to reach the final in.

It's a big thing for me to have played 100 games. I've grown a lot as a player and a person here, and I hope to continue this way.

It's an honour to represent this club every day, training and playing at Mestalla. I'll always fight, whether things are going better or worse.

I want to repay the confidence that the club have had in me.

DC IV: Tyrant vs Pantheon [QS] - casted by Esty - Duration: 44:53.

Ok so let's go I

should

increase

Ok so

so let's go

I should increase the sound of the game (no please don't lol)

So in fact Tyrant tends to fight in feudal age

its at least the standard strategy

used by most of the actual AIs like Illuminati,

Promi, Barbarian, etc

and Pantheon didn't find its early sheeps

so yea it's a bad start for Pantheon already

and god knows how it's important for Pantheon to have a good economy at start

because the fast castle is crucial and

yea it has found some deers

which might be precious

the boars are found too

and those six early sheeps are not found, pretty bad

and in the upper side Tyrant is already luring the deers to the TC

well the map is very good for Tyrant with those close forest

the gold and the stone piles, back from the TC

all is turning fine for Tyrant already

well the winner of this group will go in the group H

of the stage two of this tournament

in which we got if I'm right Tribal, Boss,

let me check who is the third one
