Tomi Lahren is absolutely the dumbest human being that is talking about politics on a

national stage today.

Earlier this week, Tomi found herself getting hammered on Twitter after she decided to go

after Michelle Obama, after Michelle Obama had the audacity to give a speech where she

talked to young people about the importance of voting.

My god.

Can you imagine a more controversial topic to discuss with young people in the United

States?

The importance of them voting?

Well, Tomi Lahren wouldn't have it.

She was absolutely furious that this former First Lady was out there telling kids, "Hey,

you should probably go vote."

Apparently that's what triggers the blonde little Tomi.

Here's what she Tweeted.

"Michelle Obama said we had a great president.

By what measure?

Not in economic growth.

Not in border enforcement.

Not in strength on the world stage.

Sit down, Michelle."

"Sit down, Michelle."

"Sit down, Michelle."

I'm struggling to come up with words at the moment, because I'm actually so friggin' pissed

off having to read that garbage that this woman who does have a national audience said

on Twitter.

Not in economic growth?

Really, Tomi?

Are you that dumb?

Were you not paying attention to the last eight years, when we were pulled out of a

recession and went into one of the longest streaks of economic growth in the US history,

a streak that actually does continue to this day?

You're willing to give Trump all the credit for it, but you're not willing to actually

look further back on all those graphs that show that when Obama took office, everything

started going up.

Did you know that monthly job creation on average was higher during the Obama Administration

than it's been during the Trump Administration?

I'm sure you didn't.

Were you aware that, and this isn't a good thing for Obama, but it's a thing that happened,

that Obama was also locking up migrant children, they were abusing them, detaining them, extending

the Flores settlement to keep them locked away longer than legally possible?

Yeah, Obama was actually pretty strict on border enforcement as well, but you don't

care about facts.

You're trying desperately to remain relevant in an overcrowded right-wing hate talker field

that is getting increasingly hard for any one person to emerge as the leader.

That's what happens, and I've mentioned that before, because I've seen it before.

I've been in this business long enough to watch what happens over there on the right.

About 14 years ago, there was a little competition, right?

You had Coulter, you had Malkin, you had Ingraham.

You had a couple other right-wing hate talkers, all trying to vie to be the loudest voice

in that hate movement.

Ultimately, they all kind of faded away.

They still go on Fox News, but nobody pays attention to them anymore.

Same thing's happening today.

You got Tomi Lahren, you have Ben Shapiro, Dave Rubin, Charlie Kirk.

All of these people trying to say the dumbest, craziest things possible to get the attention

of that particular day, because that's about how long it lasts.

People like Tomi Lahren know that their career has a shelf life, and it is a very short one

at that.

This girl, woman, whatever, has about two-three more years before she finally goes down the

tube, and another more attractive right-wing hate talker emerges to kick her out of her

throne, and forever cast her into obscurity.

Mark my words, that day is coming, and it's coming a lot sooner than Tomi thinks.

Kansas City is a great city.

It's a growing city.

It's a fantastic place to work.

It's a great environment to raise your family.

It's a fun city to visit.

But like any major city, it's got its problems too.

It has its needs.

Some of the chronic health issues that we see are diabetes, hypertension, certainly

arthritis, COPD.

I think one thing that's really important to realize is that a social determinant of

health is food and security.

Right here in the Kansas City region, approximately 14% of our population is food-insecure, meaning

they may have a meal today, but they don't know where their next meal might come from,

and that's really unacceptable.

Our veterans have given a lot to this country, and our mission at the VFW is to make sure

that they are taken care of.

One in four active duty and reservists suffer food insecurity, and 27% of Iraq and Afghanistan

veterans are food-insecure, which is just amazing to us that our veterans would have

a basic need of not having enough food on the table.

With Humana's help, we learned more, and then we partnered with Harvesters, and After the

Harvest to really just do this campaign, to really bring awareness to this issue and to

do something about it.

Uniting to Combat Hunger is a campaign where multiple organizations are coming together,

and the ultimate goal is to provide 50,000 meals for individuals in Kansas City.

After the Harvest rescues fresh produce that might otherwise go to waste, and we get it

to feed individuals that are hungry.

We're getting over 200 pounds of all sorts of different greens: turnip, mustard, and

collard greens.

And we'll be loading it up into the glee machine and delivering it to Harvesters, and they'll

help us distribute it to agencies serving those in need.

I think what's interesting about food insecurity in the Kansas City region is that we live

in what is often considered the breadbasket of America, and yet, hunger is around every

corner.

Wyandotte County has several areas that would classify as a food desert, where it's difficult

for an individual living in a community to either walk or get a ride to a grocery store,

usually within a mile or two.

The KCK Mobile Market, which will serve Wyandotte County in our region, is an interesting pilot

where we're looking at the intersection of access, affordability, and nutrition.

It's literally a grocery store on wheels.

What we're looking to do is to turn those places from food deserts, really, to healthy

food oases, because the market is going to fill the void that currently exists.

To live in Kansas City, I personally believe is a sense of community.

By all of us working together, people can be helped, and that's key because we all live

in this community together.

We understand who our community is, what their challenges are, so we foster a sense of collaboration

because we're all trying to go to the same place.

We're all trying to get healthier.

We're all trying to get better.

In 2020, Kansas City will be a healthier community than it is today.

We already have the road outlined.

We have the partners in place, and we already see progress.

The bold goal is an important first step in identifying the fact that we're not doing

enough to meet the nutritional needs of our community.

It helps bring businesses to the table, but it also gives a support to non-profits and

community organizations who might be doing the grassroots work to make this possible.

How can you turn your YouTube video

into a blog post for your website?

Today I'm going to show you how.

So why would you want to turn your YouTube video

into a blog post?

Well, there's several reasons.

One, blog posts get indexed on Google.

YouTube videos get indexed on YouTube.

They sort of get indexed on Google sometimes,

but wouldn't it be great if you had the same asset,

you could use twice, one as a blog post,

and one as a video.

Also, have you ever tried sharing

a YouTube video on Facebook?

It's hard, isn't it?

Why is that?

It doesn't get a lot of traffic,

because Facebook doesn't want YouTube

on their channel.

They want you to upload natively to that platform.

You can share it, they just won't show it

in the algorithm very much.

However, if you make that video into a blog post,

and the video's embedded in that blog post,

you can share that to your Facebook page,

and then it will get seen more.

Additionally, you can pay to have that blog post amplified,

which you could not do with a YouTube video, right?

Another reason, some people may just be readers,

and not watchers, but if you have that asset,

if you've created that knowledge base,

there's no reason why you can't get the readers

and the watchers, right?

Some people will come to your website because

they've seen you you YouTube,

but others will go to YouTube because they've seen you

on your website, right?

So why not have both?

So what I do in each YouTube video,

is I start by doing some captions.

And I get them from Rev.com, R-E-V dot com.

And then they write some captions for me,

and I upload those to the video.

But those also can be used as a blog post.

I download those as a TXT file,

and then I re-edit them to be a better blog post

that has more, it's more SEO-friendly.

Like you might write a normal blog post,

and if you like you can add images

and headers, and even other YouTube videos,

if they're relevant.

It really depends on your own time.

I've found that the way I speak is more conversational

and totally different from the way I write.

So sometimes I'll leave it in just as a transcript.

And sometimes I'll rewrite it as a real nice article.

It really depends on my time, but your company may have

more resources to rewrite those blog posts.

And these blog posts may be on the shorter side,

because the script of a video tends

to be shorter than a blog post for whatever reason.

And my free secret special bonus tip

for you today is

that you can actually add a YouTube subscribe button

right in a webpage, right underneath the YouTube video,

or anywhere else in the webpage.

And that's a really great, awesome option

because people can subscribe to your YouTube channel

without even visiting your YouTube channel.

YouTube calls it configuring a button,

and it's very easy to configure,

and I try to do that on every page

where I put a YouTube video, because if they liked it,

they should subscribe, but in embedded video

you can't subscribe directly from the video

without going to the channel.
