POCO F1 vs Asus Zenfone 5Z Detailed Camera Comparison - Duration: 11:15.

Hey guys its Sagar from Tecworkz.
You guys saw the title, you know what this video is about, so lets get started.
When I asked you, which video would you guys like to watch next, the camera comparison
between the Zenfone 5Z and POCO F1 got the second most number of votes, so here it is.
In previous videos, we saw how the dual cameras on the POCO F1 are, and how it compares with
the likes of the MI A2 and the OnePlus 6.
But this comparison with the Asus Zenfone 5Z is particularly interesting.
5Z has an interesting set of cameras.
In broad daylight, images from its dual cameras were at par with the OnePlus 6.
But its low light performance was so much better, it blew the OnePlus 6 out of competition.
POCO F1 has been doing really well so far, so as I said, this comparison is going to
be an interesting one.
Base variant of the POCO F1 is available at 20,999Rs, where as the Zenfone 5Z starts at
29,999Rs.
So there is a 9,000Rs difference between the price of both these phones.
For these prices, you get a 12 megapixel primary camera on the Zenfone 5Z, with wide F/1.8
aperture, and a large individual pixel size of 1.4micron.
It uses Phase detection for Auto focus and gets 4 axis Optical Image Stabilisation.
Secondary camera has a 8 megapixel sensor, with F/2.0 aperture, and a very wide 12 mm
lens.
Primary camera on the POCO F1 also has a 12 megapixel sensor, with F/1.9 aperture, and
it also has a large individual pixel size of 1.4micron.
It uses Dual Pixel technology for auto focusing, and none of its cameras have Optical Stabilisation.
It's Secondary camera has a 5 Megapixel Sensor, with F/2.0 aperture, and it is only
used for sensing depth information for the portrait shots.
On the Zenfone 5Z, you can shoot 4k videos in upto 60fps, and 1080p and 720p videos in
upto 240fps.
On the POCO F1, you can shoot 4k videos at 30fps, 1080p at 30, 120 and 240fps and 720p
videos at 120 and 240fps.
There is an 8megapixel front facing camera with F/2.0 aperture on the Zenfone 5Z.
While the POCO F1 comes with a mammoth 20megapixel front facing camera with F/2.0 aperture.
Both can shoot 1080p 30fps videos with these cameras.

Both phones offer manual mode, if you want a better control over various settings like
ISO, shutter speed, white balance and focus.
Now before we move on to the image and video samples, make sure to hit the subscribe button,

Both the phones have a similar megapixel count and sensor size, so the difference we see
in these images, are a result of the internal processing that both the both these phones
apply, once the images are captured by the sensor.
Images from the POCO F1 show a bit more contrast, while the once from the Zenfone 5Z appear
a bit flat.
Asus has been pushing many software updates to improve the camera performance on the 5Z.
Few weeks back when I compared its images with the OnePlus 6, Zenfone was showing a
bit over saturated colours in almost all of the shots, but that issue seems to be fixed,
and the colours are not as saturated now.
If you look closer, there are more details in the images from the Zenfone 5Z, while the
overall images from the POCO F1 are a bit softer in comparison.
But if you only look at the images from the POCO F1, they look really good on their own.
Zenfone 5Z tends to capture and represent slight cooler colours, whereas POCO F1 almost
always captures warmer looking colour tones.
In certain lighting conditions its images also have a weird greenish yellow tint to
them, which doesn't really look good.
Coming to the HDR shots, POCO F1 captures a really good dynamic range for a phone to
its price, but the HDR processing on the Zenfone 5Z is much better.
It is better a bringing up the details in the darker parts while preserving the highlights
in any given shot.
Both these phones have a similar primary sensor and the same processor, so the difference
in these images is due to the image processing that both the manufacturers apply.
You cannot use the secondary lens on the POCO F1 to take images.
But on the Zenfone 5Z, you can use the secondary wide lens to take images like these.
It lets you capture an unique view of the scene.
It is specially helpful when you are in a small space, or when you are trying to capture
an architecture.
This secondary lens has a lower megapixel count, so it is not as sharp as as the primary
lens, specially around the edges.
But I still like to have this option, and I feel, if a smartphone has dual cameras,
then the secondary lens should have some extra functionalities, rather than just gathering
depth information for portrait shots.
Moving on to close up shots.
POCO F1 captures softer subject, while clicking close up images.
This issue is persistent, even after a few software updates.
Zenfone on the other hand captures perfectly sharp close up shots.
Both phones have wide aperture, so the background in all of these shots is blurred out nice
and evenly.
Lets check out the Portrait mode capabilities of both these phones.
Many people actually tell me, that how good is the portrait mode of a certain smartphone,
is one of the most important thing that they look out, while making their purchase decision.
Both these phones are really good at detecting the subject and differentiating it from the
background.
Portrait mode Images from the POCO F1 are almost always slightly brighter of the two,
but it also adds a lot of softening to the main subject, just like we saw in its close
up images.
So most of the times, I prefer the portrait images from the Zenfone 5Z.
It also lets you adjust the amount of blur in the background, while you are clicking
the image.
Just like with portrait images of people, both the phones do an incredible job while
capturing portrait images of objects as well.
They are incredibly accurate at detecting the edges, even if you are trying to capture
a complex scene.
And the blurring algorithm applies a milky smooth blur to the background, making your
subject pop out.
They do a really good job even while capturing portrait images of objects in very low lighting
situations like these.
Like with any other phone out there, Both can definitely use some improvement via software
updates.
But even in their current state, I am really impressed with portrait mode capabilities.
POCO F1 is more impressive of the two considering its price, specially with the portrait shots
of objects.
Now as the light goes down, we might start seeing a difference between the images from
both the phones.
First thing that you will see is, images from the Zenfone 5Z are brighter of the two thanks
to a slightly wider aperture.
It also captures sharper and more detailed images compared to the POCO F1.
Although both phones have same amount of megapixels, and a similar sensor size, Zenfone has a slightly
wider aperture and it also has OIS.
So the shutter remains open for slightly longer time, and the sensor ends up capturing more
details from the scene.
It is also better at handling the exposure in these situations.
In certain cases, it seems like somehow another light source was added, when I was taking
images with the 5Z.
But trust me that was not the case.
We saw similar results from the Zenfone 5Z in lower light, when we compared it with the
OnePlus 6, a few weeks back.
There is a lot of noise in very low light shots from both the phones.
But if we zoom in, we see that the images from the Zenfone so much more detail, and
are lot sharper compared to the ones from the POCO F1.
20 megapixel front facing camera on the POCO F1 takes sharper and detailed selfies, compared
to the 8 megapixel camera on the Zenfone 5Z.
POCO also shows better dynamic range, and is better at handling the exposure in these
front facing images.
There is nothing wrong with the selfies from the Zenfone, but the ones from POCO F1 are
sharper and are overall better to look at.
Both can take portrait selfies with the front facing camera, and both are really good at
detecting the edged.
Images from the POCO F1 show better colours, while the ones from the Zenfone 5Z seem a
bit washed out.
Both the phones do a good job of accurately detecting the edges, even if you have multiple
people in the shot.
Here is a video from the front facing camera of the POCO F1 and the Asus Zenfone 5Z.
Frame on the POCO F1 is a bit cropped in, and the POCO F1 is showing a bit brighter
scene.
Both can shoot 4K videos at 30fps.
These videos are stabilised on the Zenfone 5Z, but the POCO F1 doesn't offer any kind
of stabilisation at 4K. 4Asix OIS on the Zenfone 5Z sometimes results
in weird jello effect, while shooting videos.
You get electronic stabilisation while shooting 1080p 30fps videos on both the phones.
Again you can see that jello effect in video from the Zenfone 5Z.
We have seen and compared over 55 image and video samples until now.
Zenfone captured better detail in daylight, showed wider and better dynamic range, and
it captured much better images in lower light.
POCO F1 was not too far behind in daylight conditions.
It applies a bit of softening to most of its images, specially to close up and portrait
shots, but overall, its images are good on its own.
In low light it falls behind the Zenfone 5Z, but it does make up by taking better selfies,
both in normal and portrait mode.
If you are looking for an overall better camera experience, then get the Zenfone 5Z.
Its wide secondary lens gives you a new perspective of looking at things.
It costs extra, but for that, you get a much better looking phone, with premium build materials,
better display and an overall polished smartphone experience.
But if you cant stretch your budget, or if you want to save some money, you can go with
the POCO F1.
It has a good set of cameras, and in most of the cases, you will be happy with the images
that you end up capturing.
If I was making a choice between these phones, I would go with the Zenfone 5Z, coz I think
it offers a better overall package.
But thats just me, What are your thoughts about the cameras on

Death Crowns 'IF' They are a sign from Heaven? - Duration: 5:13.
Today when we snuggle up for a good night's rest, we slide into our memory foam mattresses
and polyester pillows.
This was not always the case in the past mattresses were made from horse hair and straw and the
pillows were filled with feathers.
This lead to a strange and not commonly known tradition and belief in certain areas of the
United States.
Death crowns, these delightfully named cushions, they were given their name after people noticed
when those who were seriously ill or had recently died left a circular mass in their pillow.
Let's take a dive into this strange and haunting phenomena.
WELCOME TO IF……………………………………………….
This
strange tradition originates in the isolated regions of Missouri, Indianan, and Ohio.
It has all but disappeared today with only a few still following the tradition found
in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
But fortunately, there are still some examples of this practice of collecting the feathered
wreaths left by the dead in local museums.
This tradition of collecting these odd formations of feathers comes from the interpretation
that they a sign from heaven, The feathers of the pillows form themselves into something
which resembles a woven wreath, roughly the size of a bird's nest.
This is what became known as "feather" or "angel crowns," These were thought
to indicate that a person was bound for heaven and this was an impression of where a halo
would be when they ascended to the afterlife.
This omen, belief or tradition ''depending on how you look at it" can be traced back
to old Europe with strong ties to the Welsh.
These impressive formations were kept as family heirlooms and great importance was placed
on these supposed signs from heaven.
Skeptics do have a different opinion saying that the movements of the sick and dying person,
their tossing and turning combined with moisture from fever sweats causing these objects to
take form.
This tradition was first carried with the people who migrated from the southeastern
United States to Indiana, like many other legends and folk stories this belief came
with them along and was as important as their baggage.
Many of this first wave of immigrants settled in the region of the Appalachian Mountains
and the surrounding states.
Many being the forefathers of today's mountain people.
Maybe this has you a little worried that next time you put your head down for the night,
you may wake to find a Death Crown in your pillow.
If you do, don't panic!!!
A One old wives' tale claims that if you break these wreaths up you prevent the death
of the person the pillow belongs to.
A collection of these strange oddities can be found at the Lawrence County Museum of
History.
They have the death crown of a William Kinser.
Kinser whom was a soldier during the Civil War, enlisting at age 14 dying on Jan. 9,
1936.
His widowed wife donated the crown.
The curiosity is a tight coil of feathers about 3 inches wide and nearly 1.5 inches
tall.
The museum is in possession of a whole collection of death crowns, many of which they display,
a Mrs. Olive Broody.
Jones' crown is the smallest one on display; it is approximately 1.75 inches wide and one-half
inch tall.
So before you sleep or maybe when you wake, just give that pillow a quick inspection it
may well provide you with a warning that today could be your last.

Indiana Jones Lego set this is Lego jungle cutter 76 26 or 7600 26 kingdom
of the Crystal Skull awesome so it's Indiana Jones verse the Nazis whoo-hoo
that is awesome let's go ahead and check out the options okay so the spiderweb on
the jungle temple drops down there it looks like the top of the machine
blows up it could actually chop down the Lego trees which is awesome and then it
comes with all these other accessories cool and then it comes with one big
instruction will click here which i think is totally awesome let's see if it
showed any of the other Indiana Jones says oh there was other Indiana Jones
says Wow looks like you had a big temple over here
Nazi camping one here and some type of amphibious vehicle there but this one is
clearly the coolest okay so first of all the set comes with
Indiana Jones a Nazi commander and two Nazi Jews as I would call them so
Indiana Jones has his trademark hat whip he's got like
looks like a purse must be like a man purse or something
the commander has a bazooka and Uzi one of the goons has an Uzi and the other
one has a shotgun but the main thing of this set is this awesome tree cutter if
you push it these blades actually turn the treads on the tank actually turned
and the blades turn and they will cut these trees down so if you come in get a
hit at the right angle and it chops the tree right down how cool is that
let's try it from a different angle there we go
chops it right down cool okay so let's take a closer look at that as you can
see the blade spin as it moves the tread spin and it makes it look totally
awesome this big middle section here will also explode you have a part back
here if you push it it will blow up like there like it got hit with the missile
from the bazooka
resent this grad you can do it again if you like and this top cap part pops off
here you've got controls and there's something to spit one of your characters
right in here and have him drive the whole tank and then going on around this
this is the part you push in to make the top blow up real okay PLAs plastic
treads but as you can see they actually and the blades to spin adds a rolling or
you can spin them but and I mean this is one awesome
I've put together a lot of LEGO sets and that is the coolest vehicle I have seen
and then we've got this awesome jungle set here you can lift up well actually
if you just turn these it lifts up the spiderweb itself and then you have
treasure here so one of the guys could come up and as he's plundering the
treasure the spider whip drops you right in
help the spiders on the other side okay so let's turn this around so yes he's
here the spiderweb drops down and you've got a big huge evil looking spider in
the middle of the web you got all the jungle pieces around here and it does
come with three of these awesome trees so you've seen the whole set built in
stop-motion let me know what you thought because this is one totally awesome set
and it's set up on my Jurassic Park background with the chomping
Tyrannosaurus Rex back there but a custom painted one to look like a Diablo
t-rex so this is totally one awesome Indiana Jones set

reunions I'd like to see in season 8.
Without waiting any longer, let's see my remaining top 5 reunions.
5) Gendry and Arya
After Mycah's death & Ned's execution, Arya hadn't made any new friends, except
for Gendry and Hot pie.
Remember last year, I discussed in my "Who will Arya meet at the Inn" video, about
how Arya thought Gendry is dead, and with Hot Pie being her only friend left alive,
she would go to meet Hot pie after she returns to Westeros?
When Melisandre took Gendry away, Arya thought Gendry was dead.
And Gendry probably also thinks that Arya is dead.
It would be really exciting to see their faces when they'll see each other again and will
realize, that all three of them have survived.
Being a huge Arya fan, I'm dying to watch this moment.
4) Jon, Sam and Bran
I know I cheated on this one, but the reason I am most excited to see this reunion is because
Sam and Bran know the truth about Jon now.
Jon last saw Sam before he sent him to the Citadel, and he last saw Bran before he joined
the Night's watch.
Also, the reason I didn't put Bran and Jon reunion higher on the list is because there
wasn't any surprise element left.
Jon already knew that Bran was in Winterfell even before he went beyond the wall.
Jon has lived his whole life thinking his mother might have been a whore and even though
he dreamt about becoming a lord, he didn't think he deserved it because he was a basrtard.
I wanna see Jon's reaction once he realizes he is not really a bastard, but a trueborn
son and the heir to the Iron Throne and that he slept with his Aunt Dany?
3) Dany and Viserion
When Dany went to save Jon and his team beyond the wall, the Night King threw an Ice Spear
through Viserion and killed him.
I've already discussed how the Night King had set a trap for Dany and her dragons in
my "Is the Night King a Greenseer" video?
I also discussed questions like why the Night King went after Viserion instead of Drogon
or Rhaegal etc. in my Season 7/8 Q&A videos.
Viserion was killed so suddenly and Dany had to escape from there in a hurry and then had
to help prepare for the Great War, that there was no time to see her grieving for her dead
child.
Or maybe she is trying not to deal with it by busying herself in various distractions
like love and war etc.
But once she sees Viserion as a wight?
I think that moment will be equally amazing and heart breaking at once.
2) Jon and Arya
Did I mention I am a huge fan of Arya?
As you already know, Arya is my most favourite character in the show.
Jon and Arya last met in season 1 where Jon gave Arya her sword "Needle".
I LOVED Jon and Arya's relationship in the books, especially when they had thoughts like
this, "Arya never seemed to fit, no more than he had... yet she could always make Jon
smile.
He would give anything to be with her now, to muss up her hair once more and watch her
make a face, to hear her finish a sentence with him."
It will be their first meeting since Jon gave her Needle in season 1 and left for the wall.
The reason I didn't put it on number 1 was because of the surprise element.
If Jon hadn't known Arya was in Winterfell and then there was a reunion, that would have
been priceless.
But as we saw in season 7, Jon got the raven which informed him that Bran and Arya were
alive, and his reaction wasn't one of my favourites, even if he was worried about the
Night King and his army, which were still beyond the wall at that time.
But despite all that I'd still like to see this reunion.
Like Sansa had told Arya, when Jon meets her, his heart will probably stop..
Honourable Mentions - Gendry and Melissandre, Arya and Melissandre, Tyrion and Sansa,
Ghost and Nymeria, Jaime and Bran.
1) Jon and the Night King The whole series from the beginning has been
heading towards this epic moment.
The Starks have been saying for thousands of years that "Winter is coming."
And Winter aka the Great War aka the long Night come again is here.
The last time Jon and the Night king met, they had locked eyes when Jon was fleeing
with the black brothers and the wildlings.
Jon had lost the battle at that time.
But now, Jon has Dany and her Dragons on his side.
And we'll probably get Lightbringer in season 8 too.
IMO, this will be the most awesome reunion of season 8.
So, these were my top 10 reunions I wanna see in season 8.
