hey everyone welcome back to android confidential where this week we are
talking about the upcoming android premium phones talking about the google
pixel three the LGV 40 and the huawei mate 20 all of which are going to cost a
bundle and you probably want one but wait what if it doesn't have to be that
way what if you don't need to spend 800 or $900 on a phone just to get the phone
that you want so before you spend all that money consider these three things
first so if there's one thing all the new phones coming out have in common is
that they're going to be the fastest and they're gonna have the most storage we
already see this with the Samsung Note 9 we got up to 512 gigabytes of space
inside the phone which is crazy and we have a snapdragon 845 processor which we
know is the fastest out there the pixel 3 is gonna use that as well the LGB 40
is gonna use that and Huawei is gonna use its own Kirin 980 processor which
will be just as fast probably a little bit faster if you measure it in
benchmarks that's awesome you know the kind of speed that we're able to put in
there in our pockets is just it's just mind-boggling but what are we really
using it for we text we use social networking we surf the web we email
those are the main things we use our phones for that's what we use them for
10 years ago we're not editing podcasts and video and
we're not you know working with with with giant images that we need all this
space that we need all this power if you get a cheaper Android phone you're gonna
give up you know you won't get a snapdragon a 45 i've got a snapdragon
600 or snapdragon 400 chip it'll be slower you'll still be able to
serve you'll still be able to use email you'll still be able to do things you
want to do maybe it'll take you a couple seconds less or more to do it it's okay
we don't need that kind of speed to get a good experience out of our phone and
Android phones have expandable storage if you have 32 gigs or 64 gigs and you
need more throwing an SD card it costs just 16 dollars so whether you buy the
pixel 3 or the pixel 3 XL or one of the other phones they're going to be getting
a big giant screen we're talking five and a half inches six inches six point
seven she's six point nine inches on the
huawei mate 20 that's crazy two years ago a phablet a giant phablet
was like five and a half and that was like the upper end of the spectrum and
now that's the small size do we need six point four inches the iPhone max X
whatever it is is six and a half and like I said huawei's is gonna be almost
seven seven I mean we're pushing the boundaries of what can fit in our pocket
what can fit in our hands and what we really need to use in our phones
what you know the text is is only gonna get so big and the things are going to
see so much on our phones we don't need to carry around small tablets in our
pockets anymore and resolution so if you buy a cheaper Android phone you're going
to get full HD maybe less 720p guess what it's not gonna look good
retina as Apple says when they introduced his whole term retina day it
was back then it was 300 pixels per inch for a phone that's held you know maybe a
foot foot and a half from your face so you wouldn't see visible pixels that's
the whole idea of retina you look at a screen and it looks like it you're
looking at on a piece of paper there's no visible pixels it doesn't have those
jagged edges 300 pixels per inch versus 600 pixels per inch is gonna look the
same to your eye you don't need 4 K 3 K even 2 K to have
a really nice-looking screen that shows great photos and looks it you can read
text and books and and comics and you know have it looked really good and the
last thing I'm going to talk about is how expensive these things are to fix
and to drop and the bigger they get the harder they are to hold I don't care how
big your hands are they're slippery you know why cuz they're made of glass
they're made of glass because we get wireless charging which is awesome and
you know we can throw them on those pads and or whatever and they charge without
having to plug them in which is a great feature but the the drawback is they're
increasingly more more fragile and listen I don't care if it's Gorilla
Glass 5 a girl got 6 or whatever the next one is its glass it's fragile if it
drops on concrete it's gonna break I don't care what it's wrapped in and
guess what you're gonna have to pay a few hundred dollars to get it fixed
companies are selling protection plans now Apple has an insurance policy
against theft and law for 300 bucks you know so now we're
having charges on top of charges on top of expensive phones it's crazy
consider a plastic cheap phone guess what if you lose it you can buy another
one and you're still paying less than you would have paid for you know pixel 3
or or aura or a V 40 or whatever what have you all right look I get it if you
spending another $900 $1,000 on a new Android phone you're gonna love it it's
gonna be great it's gonna be the Cadillac of phones walk down the street
and people are gonna look at you and want one but if you have a Honda maybe
you won't turn as many heads but it'll still get you where you need to go
you're still having you still enjoyed you still love it and guess what you're
not gonna need a protection plan and if you drop it you won't have a heart

Republicans Set Kavanaugh Vote Within 24 Hours Of Christine Ford's Testimony - Duration: 4:18.
Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee have scheduled a confirmation hearing in committee
for Brett Kavanaugh this coming Friday at 9:30 a.m.
Eastern time.
Now, the reason that time is important, knowing that it's at 9:30, is that that is less than
24 hours after Dr. Christine Ford will be testifying in front of that committee about
what she alleges happened to her at the hands of Brett Kavanaugh nearly 35 years ago.
Less than 24 hours.
Republicans are not only not going to give the public enough time to digest what this
woman has to say, but they won't even have enough time to digest it, order hearings,
order investigations, none of it.
They want to move forward and plow through this nomination, and they don't care what
Dr. Christine Ford has to say.
They've made that clear.
Lindsey Graham expressly said that.
That no matter what this woman says, he's voting to confirm.
They don't care.
They don't care.
They don't take it seriously.
They don't believe her, so they're going to push forward and be horrible human beings,
and then make the Democrats have to come back next January, assuming they retake the Senate,
which seems more and more likely every day, and then they're the ones that have to clean
up this mess.
That's what's going to happen here.
And then Republicans are going to be sitting there with egg on their face, knowing that
they could have prevented it.
They could have ordered an FBI investigation.
They could have taken it seriously.
But instead, they were so desperate to get one victory before this year's midterms, because
they have nothing else to run on, so they are willing to put through an accused rapist
and assaulter just to try to take that back to the voters and say, "Look what we did:
a thing."
Yeah, it's a horrible thing, you idiots.
Here's what's happening: Republicans don't have anything to run on this year.
They tried to run on tax cuts.
They spent millions of dollars running ads during primaries and so far through the midterms,
trying to tell people that their tax cuts were helping them.
Well, that message fell flat.
In fact, they went to some areas of the country, their states, where they tried to find people
who've gotten money from the tax cuts, to kind of parade them out on stage.
They couldn't find anybody.
That actually happened.
They couldn't find a single person in their audience who got any money from the tax cuts,
so they've had to pull back on that.
They can't run on repealing Obamacare because they know that their constituents hate that
idea now, after they tried it multiple times last year and faced huge backlash for it.
They don't have a Hillary Clinton on the other side of the ticket to run against.
They have nothing.
What they wanted to run on was taking over the Supreme Court.
But you put up a guy that you didn't vet, you didn't look into his history enough, and
now you're refusing to look into his history, just so you can get that seat.
And it's going to cost you yours.
You put him on that seat, you're going to lose your seat.
That's basically what voters are telling Republicans right now.
It's what polls are showing.
And it's what's going to happen.
Because Brett Kavanaugh, sadly, is going to be confirmed to the US Supreme Court, unless
the man himself voluntarily withdraws his nomination, he's in, for now.
Democrats eventually are going to take back the Senate.
Maybe it's in January, maybe it's two years, maybe it's four years from now.
But when they do, they're going to launch investigations, they're going to hold impeachment
hearings, and they're going to remove Kavanaugh from the bench.
Yes, Kavanaugh will end up on the Supreme Court.
Kavanaugh will also end up impeached from the Supreme Court.
Those are my two predictions, and I would say, based on all of the available evidence,
that's the most likely scenario to happen here.
But the fact that Republicans aren't willing to hear these women out, even when they've
come to them this week, through their attorneys and said, "I have witnesses that are willing
to come to DC and testify before the committee", they're not even responding to those messages.
They're ignoring it, pretending it doesn't exist.
And that is exactly what's going to happen to Dr. Christine Ford tomorrow during her
testimony, and then again on Thursday during the vote on Kavanaugh.

Webmaster Tools Overview - FlipperSiteDeveloper CMS - Duration: 9:10.
Hi, welcome to the Pen Publishing Interactive FlipperSiteDeveloper CMS video. In this video
I'm going to give you an overview of FlipperSiteDeveloper CMS's Webmaster Tools. Let's get started.
So I'm already logged into my website here and I already went to the webmaster
tools on this left sidebar here and I just click webmaster tools. So if you're there you'll see this interface just like mine and
what I'm going to do is I'm just going to give you an overview of each section and
the benefits of having this within your website.
So let's get started here with the search engine sitemaps at the top.
So a sitemap all that is, is a list of pages on your website.
So what FlipperSiteDeveloper CMS does is create a sitemap.xml
file of all the pages that you want indexed on search engines.
So this is important because if you submit the sitemap XML to say Google search console,
which formerly was Google's Webmaster Tools. It allows a search engine to better
index and better crawl your pages.
The beauty of the way that FlipperSiteDeveloper
CMS does this is, that it does it on the fly.
So if you are submitting your sitemap to Google search console tomorrow, and you've added some pages
overnight or you know later today,
what you're submitting is the latest and greatest so it'll have those and again it allows
Google search console and Google to better index and better crawl your website. So
that's what the search engine site Maps
section shown here on the webmaster tools for Flipper does.
So the next area is the Google area and if you're familiar with Google Analytics, you know that it's very important to have this
installed on your website so that it allows you to view
reporting and view how your users
of your website are going through it. So
within the webmaster tools section you have instructions. So if you don't know how to accomplish this
FlipperSiteDeveloper CMS webmaster tools gives you step-by-step instructions
which then you can follow and you can install the code. Which again allows you to view reporting on Google Analytics
and if you go over roll over these information icons, you can learn more about each of these sections and what they do.
So just wanted to point that out.
So and again same goes with Google search console.
You can expand the instructions and you have a walkthrough of exactly what needs to happen to get this installed on your website.
We have it for Google Tag Manager, Google Adsense, and Google
Map API key.
Again it this just makes it super easy for you to install these tools or this code to generate reports on those tools.
Before if you've done this for a while, you know that
It used to be where you had to take the scripts and you had to install them in the actual file headers
or footers of your website. Again
FlipperSiteDeveloper CMS allows you to just simply come in here, follow the instructions and paste the appropriate
information onto the website and
then you can benefit from the reporting of those tools. So again, that was Google
and we also have this in here for Bing Webmaster Tools. So if you want to
Verify your website and take advantage of being Webmaster Tools reporting you can do that here. Now,
the robots.txt content section. If you're familiar with robots.txt all it is is it's a file
that lives on your website that tells search engines what pages to not index.
So for instance if you have pages or directories,
either or. So if you have a page or a folder that you don't want the search engines to index
So no one can find them
You can come in here and disallow
those pages in those directories from being indexed on search engines.
Again, we provide instructions here. You can simply copy the sample code and paste it here. So say you have
your website is part of the...
You have a section for board members and that you keep minutes and you don't want the search engine for whatever reason to not
index this you just make sure you put the
URL or the path to that directory on here. And again this allowed this path. So search engines,
once they crawl the site, they will not
index that section. So you can do it that way.
Another way, that is I believe
is a lot easier to do is if you go to the page or that you don't want to be
indexed or disallow from search engines, You can just go to that section and I have another one here opened
so for me, it's my cart section on this demo site.
Click the SEO tab and then if you scroll down you'll see this Google sitemap setting and
again, there's instructions here that you can read, but if I don't want this to be
displayed in my sitemap and I don't want search engines to index that I can simply come here and just hit No
and that will add it to...
and I'm gonna hit save real quick so you can see what that looks like.
That would add it to my robots.txt file to disallow and I'm gonna refresh this page.
There it is. So that was that section or that page was disallowed.
So that's in the in the case that I don't want my e-commerce
page to be searched. I mean to be indexed on search engines. So Flipper
has that built in I'm gonna leave this at Auto. If you have Auto selected all that means is that
depending on the level of permissions for that section or that page, that's how it's going to get into sitemap and
indexed by search engines. So if you have a page that is specific to again
let me use a board member example.
They have to have a role of board member and they have to log in to see the page.
That page will not be added to the sitemap or search engine.
So again, if you roll over these information icons, there's a lot more detail there, but
essentially Auto that's what it does or you can just say simply Yes.
The other thing that Flipper does, is you can
set the setting on how often you update this page or the content on this page for
search engines to know that. Again more information is here.
You kind of want to be careful with this, because if you put this, you know, you can set this to hourly
that means that or always
Google is gonna constantly index your website and it's going to cause it to be slow for free users.
So just be honest with this setting there and
finally how important is this particular section,
and this is only valid for Google search engine. All this tells us is,
helps the Google results with the level of importance of this section.
So 10 means
the greatest importance and one is not very important type content. So again,
very powerful, very easy to use tool here.
and finally, you can also go to the sections or a page and tell it if you want it to be,
tracked in Google Analytics. Again, auto same idea same applies as the sitemap.
It's available to the public.
It's going to get tracked in Google Analytics, or maybe you don't want to track it for some reason just hit
No. I'm gonna hit save so that I can go back over to the other page
and take that disallow out of there
and as you can see it's no longer there,
and finally the webmaster tools in
FlipperSiteDeveloper allow you to add scripts to the header of the site or the footer.
So if you have scripts that you need to add to the site, this is where those would go.
So, yeah, so that's that's Webmaster Tools on FlipperSiteDeveloper CMS in a nutshell. Hope this video has been beneficial.
