Pause Sonos pausing Sonos obviously today I can now combine my Google Home

this is a Google Home Hub but you can have a Google Home a Google Home Mini or

a Google Home Hub just like I have and you can combine it with any Sonos speaker

today and I'm going to show you how to do that let's get going all right now if

this is the first time you've been on the channel let me tell you what we're

all about I'm here to give you back time in your

life through home automation and give you some extra functions as well so

today we're gonna go through some extra functions that you can have here with a

couple of devices that you may already have in your home now if you haven't

already joined us please go ahead hit that subscribe get the notification bell

going and you'll get all the latest automation and all that time back in

your life now on the topic of Google Home and so knows what I have here today

is a Sonos Play:1 speaker so this is one of the oldest versions of the Sonos

products in like I said this is going to work with basically anything on the

market from Sonos today what we're going to do is connect these two services

through another service called if this than that (IFTTT.com) and you saw what I could do

there I played a specific specific song actually and you can play any of your

favorites in your Sonos library so I'm going to take you through now how to do

all that but let's just do a little bit more in terms of demos here so hey

Google resume Sonos resuming Sonos set Sonos volume to 30 Sonos volumes set

to 30 so you can see right there it did drop down Google pause Sonos pausing

Sonos hey Google start Sonos okay now playing on Sonos

hey Google pause Sonos okay so you could see there that I went through I started

different favorites there it's just going to be different commands that you

can give I paused I resumed and I changed the volume all of that was set

up in a matter of five minutes so let's go through now a demo here on the

computer on your mobile whatever you'd like to use and get this set up for you

in your home I've gone ahead and gone to ifttt.com and I already have an account

there you're going to need to sign up for that as soon as you go to that

website you'll see a sign-up process get an account there you're also going to

need to do two other things here I'm just going to show you how to do that

through the search so the first thing I'm going to search for is Google

Assistant you will need to connect this service so you can see I'm going to the

services tab tapping on Google Assistant and top right it says settings for me

but what you would have there is connect if you didn't already connect that

service to if this than that same thing for Sonos here I'm going to

go to the service and Sonos is right here so you're going to need to connect

Sonos and Google Assistant and as well you're going to need an if this than

that account now top right I can go to new applet and from here I can tap on

the plus and now I search for Google Assistant once I tap on that you can see

there's four choices here and I'm just going to choose say a simple phrase you

may need to choose a different one later now just to show you my Deadpool

throwback I'm going to say just "Wham!" to my Google Assistant and or I could say

Deadpool throwback if I'd like and of course what I want the Assistant to say

is Deadpool throwback on Sonos and then I tap on create trigger now we move

forward from there let's hit the that portion of this choose Sonos and here I

want to show you just a ton of things that you can do with Sonos this is rare

for me I haven't seen these many control functions from a service in a long time

so you can play any of your favorites that's the my Sonos component

in the Sonos application you can play a stream which is straight from a URL so

you could pick a radio station straight off the internet and choose that you can

skip back and forth and tracks volume up and down or you can set the volume like

you saw earlier in the demo a mute and an unmute function allows you to mute

the sound but continue the play back in the background and of course you can go

ahead and pause and unpause which will stop and start the music as you'd like

now for this action I'm going to tap on play favorite and now I'm just going to

choose which favorite and you can see in here I have a ton of different favorites

I have radio stations I'm going to choose the Careless Whisper here but I

have radio stations I have playlists I have albums I have artists whatever you

want and you can choose which devices in which rooms and you can now of course

group rooms within the Sonos application as well so I'm going to click create

action and now we're done here this is all created and now anytime I say Wham

to any Google Assistant that includes a Google Home a Google Home Mini whatever

it's now going to play that song for me and now what I can do from there is I

can use a number of other applets or create a number of other applets here so

there's a couple of pre-made ones that you'll find on so Sonos' page when you

just search for it here on if this than that so you can see this one use Google

Assistant to set the volume to 0 to 100 so I just have to say set solos volume

to and that number sign is a variable that you will actually say as part of

your command and it will set it to that in the room you'd like if you'd like you

can include grouped rooms that's that applet right there you could of course

create it through the process I just showed you as well

you saw me resume Google Assistant again this is on the Sonos page and you could

just simply search for this within the if this than that service as well you

can play a favorite and this is the other one that I was I

was using earlier in the video where I just said start so no so you know guys

overall there's not a lot to tell you beyond this I will show you how to make

sure that things show up in your favorite list here on the Sonos

application so let's switch over to my iPhone now down at the bottom of the

Sonos application you can see my solos and just as I scroll through here you're

seeing all the different items now I just brought up the Careless Whisper

they're the song from Deadpool that's how I chose that you can see I can also

choose an album a playlist a song or a radio station if I'd like and that's

just what I have set up here now if you wanted to you could go to another part

of the application called the search portion you can search for whatever

you'd like I'm going to search for Wham that's the artist actually and you can

see it's connected to Google Play Music and I can choose top songs and if I tap

the top right three dots I can add that playlist to my Sonos and now when I go

back to them my sono side of the application you can see top songs that

one on the left is what I just added that's now accessible from if this than

that if I'd like to choose that as a favorite with a different commands so

there you have it everyone that's basically how I got to the point of

playing anything I wanted on my solos through my Google Home or Google

Trump Says Republicans Lost Because He Wasn't On The Ballot - Duration: 4:33.

In the weeks and months before the midterm election, Donald Trump was doing rallies,

sometimes back to back rallies to a day, day after day after day, where he would tell the

crowds than I am on the ballot, even though you don't see my name, a vote for whoever

it is I'm supporting.

Here is also a vote for me.

He said that in Mississippi said it in West Virginia.

He said it in many other states all along the way that I am on the ballot.

This guy's name is really my name.

That's what trump said.

Now, the reason I bring that up is because during his interview with Chris Wallace on

Fox News this past Sunday, trump said that the reason republicans lost the House of Representatives

was because his name wasn't on the ballot.

They had nobody to latch onto.

They had nobody to really inspire them to go vote for Republicans, and that's why Republicans

lost the house.

And again, this is coming from a man who spent the prior few months telling people that yes,

his name was on the ballot.

I mean, does the American public forget about these things this easily or does Donald Trump

think were that stupid that we weren't paying attention?

He can't change his story just because the people he supported got shellacked in the

midterms, but that's exactly what he's trying to do here.

Trump thinks that he is the only person who can save the Republican Party, that he is

the only reason anyone in this country ever votes Republican and as long as the Republican

Party wants to tie their identity to that, they're going to continue to fail.

Now, that's not saying that trump wouldn't get reelected, assuming he's still in office

in 2020.

I firmly believe this man could.

He is such a good con man.

Such a good, you know, disaster artist really that, yeah, he has a real good opportunity

of defeating nearly any Democrat you put up against him, which is why the Democratic primaries,

uh, which you know, going to start in two years basically, uh, or, or one and a half

years scurry.

Um, that's why they're going to be so important.

We have to get this right because Donald Trump has been able to tap into the minds of these

conservative voters.

They firmly believe everything he tells them, so when he says, we lost, because my name's

not on the ballot.

They believe it.

They forget that just two weeks ago he told them his name was on the ballot in the form

of this other person, and they'll do it again.

But for trump, it's all about ego.

Again.

He thinks he's the only one who can save the party.

He thinks he's the only reason this party has been successful, ignoring the fact that

it's existed for more than 150 years before he ever even came along.

But he'll never be convinced of anything else.

And as long as the Republican Party continues to buy into this cult of trump, this personality

cult that he has created, they will continue to fail.

They will eventually lose the Senate along with losing the house again and again and

again.

But if we don't hold trump accountable for some of the stupid lies that he tells all

the time, then we're also a part of the problem.

And that's why issues like this are important.

The public needs to understand, even if it takes a thousand times to hear it, that this

man is going to lie about every single thing he can.

It's a habit for him.

It's an addiction almost.

If something bad happens, he's not going to tell the truth.

He is going to continue to lie and deflect blame and say, oh, somebody else, or it was

because I wasn't there.

He'll never accept responsibility.

And that's the biggest downfall that the republican party faces right now.

Because what's going to happen in 2020, if the Republicans do lose the Senate and yet

he retains the presidency, he is going to trash every single republican loser to the

point that it's going to be difficult for them to win any elections in the years after

that.

He is going to cause so much harm to that party and they refuse to acknowledge it because

they're just happy to get a few conservative judges appointed throughout this country.

I can't wait to ask these Republicans in three, four years from now if it was all worth it

because I'm betting almost all of them are going to say, hell no.

It wasn't.

PG&E Will Take a Big Hit from California's Wildfires -- but How Much? - Duration: 2:20.

Chris Hill: The wildfires in California are being felt on Wall Street as shares a PG&E

have been all over the place lately.

Shares of California's largest utility have been falling this week until Friday, Matty,

when the shares rebounded more than 30%. What is going on here?

Matt Argersinger: Have we ever talked about PG&E?

Hill: I don't think we have.

Argersinger: It's actually the country's largest utility company.

It's California's largest utility company.

Over 16 million people use PG&E in some form or fashion to get energy.

This is a really tragic story, what's happening in California, these devastating wildfires.

We know we've seen all the property damage, and, of course, the loss of life.

The problem with PG&E is that there's a good chance that electrical equipment failure on

their part has caused at least one of the fires, if not more.

If you think about the damage that we've already seen, the loss of life, people are already suing PG&E.

So, the liabilities here could run up well into to the billions.

The problem is, they're already liable for about $1.7-1.8 billion in damages from last

year's fires in California that they were found to be liable for.

It's really bad news for the company.

Coming into Friday, actually, the stock was down 40% in just the week to a 15-year low.

It's bouncing back on Friday though because the California Public Utilities Commission

president has said that allowing the state's largest utility company to go bankrupt is

probably not a good idea. That could be so.

Certainly, a bankruptcy of that size, for a company that's so influential,

touches so many lives in California, would probably be a problem.

It might prevent the company from fixing a lot of damage that's being caused.

It's really a tough story. It's evolving, as we see.

But there's no question that this is a company that's going to have billions and billions

of dollars' worth of liabilities now and into the future.

Speculating on whether or not they can actually get through it is probably not a great idea.

YouTube is a very strong platform because it's the only platform where you

can find all the official content of an artist. You have the music videos, you have

the behind the scene videos, all the remixes, you can listen to the album.

You have everything on one platform.

" To be successful on the streaming platforms you just have to be on a playlist every Friday."

But it's not true. This is one part of the job. The artists also have to create

his own content to engage his community.

When I did a meeting with YouTube music they were looking for new artists.

I introduced Ginta project and they said " Yes, this is great! She's a great artist,

she's a worldwide artist."

This web series will be like a tutorial, or like an inspiration for young artists,

for management team, maybe from the old generation,

to see how a young woman today is building a career in this

business.

November Stocks to Watch: Lowe's, Take-Two, Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft - Duration: 3:14.

Chris Hill: Let's get to the stocks on our radar.

Our man behind the glass, Steve Broido, is going to hit you with a question.

Jason Moser, you're up first. What are you looking at this week?

Jason Moser: We talked about Home Depot this week.

I'm looking at Lowe's, ticker LOW. Next week, earnings looking back to August.

The stock has certainly pulled back a little bit since then, since they've announced some

store closures, clarified a bit more on strategy with new CEO Marvin Ellison.

I do like this market in general.

I think the home improvement market is a tremendous one that should continue to, over time, just get better.

I think that Marvin Ellison has a lot of good ideas and has the opportunity to take this

business in a good direction.

The pullback in shares here over the last few months is a bit more compelling today.

Hill: Steve, question about Lowe's?

Steve Broido: Does one business have a competitive advantage over the other?

Moser: Generally speaking, we look to Home Depot as the leader in the space.

The store base is very similar. They both have the same number of stores, essentially.

But Home Depot has just been better when it comes to customer service, when it comes to

serving the pro side of the business as well as the do-it-yourselfers.

I think that's really where Marvin Allison is trying to take this business in Lowe's

-- getting better on the customer service side, making sure they have what you want.

Hill: Aaron Bush, what are you looking at this week?

Aaron Bush: I'm looking at Take-Two Interactive, ticker TTWO.

Two weeks ago, they had the biggest entertainment launch of all time.

Red Dead Redemption 2 made over $750 million in three days.

And the stock is down over 20% from its highs.

Take-Two is turning into a video game giant with tons of successes.

Red Dead that isn't the only thing that they have.

A few years ago, people were saying Grand Theft Auto is the only thing they had.

Between more games, higher margins, more recurring revenues,

lots of catalysts, the timing feels pretty compelling.

Hill: Steve, question about Take-Two? Broido: I'm playing Red Dead Redemption 2 right now.

Is there too much story in this thing? It's like a movie. It's taking forever.

I skip all these scenes. It's crazy town. Bush: I think that's a good thing.

I think what they want is for people to get sucked into the world so that when Red Dead

Online comes out in a month or so, people will want to stick with it and pay them more money.

Moser: Steve, are you a good cowboy or a bad cowboy?

Broido: I'm pretty bad right now. Hill: [laughs] Matty, what are you looking at?

Matt Argersinger: I'm glad Aaron said Take-Two Interactive.

I'm glad that Isaac, who wrote us the email, had Activision Blizzard on his list.

The stocks on my radar are video game stocks.

Activision Blizzard, ticker ATVI; Electronic Arts, EA; Aaron had Take-Two, TTWO;

also, Ubisoft, which is on the pink sheets at UBSFY.

Depending on which stock you look at, these things are down 20-30%, yet -- and I'm sure

Aaron agrees -- these are companies with tremendous tailwinds.

It's an industry I love. I can't believe they're down as much as they are.

If you don't own any video games, this is a great chance to do so.

Hill: Steve? Broido: I think I'm going with Take-Two.

I'm just having so much fun riding my horse, having a grand old time.

that particle can be a preposition or an adverb

so why is a phrasal verb such a

scary thing?

well it's because if you take two words and put them together and

that new word creates a new semantic unit it can be quite scary and quite confusing

so that's what phrasal verbs do:

they take a verb and a preposition or adverb

and that combination, those words create their own semantic unit

Our example today is "to call off"

now to call off doesn't mean to call off off of the table so I'm calling off the table no...

to call off can mean to cancel or to summon

so that is one example

now that means that the individual meaning of the individual component is no longer relevant

so that makes phrasal verbs quite unpredictable

so therefore when you're learning a new phrasal verb

try to learn the meaning and an example

so generally a phrasal verb is a two-word phrase

and phrasal verbs only have more than just one meaning

so they have 1+ meaning (I wrote here)

So the common patterns:

depending on the object of my phrasal verb

if it's a pronoun or a noun these words will be positioned differently in

our sentence

so here are two examples if I use a phrasal verb

so here "to call off"

I keep those two components together

if I'm using a noun group

for example: he called off (so my phrasal verbs, a verb plus particle are together, is

followed by the noun group)

he called off the meeting

however if I use

it raised the verb with a pronoun, the pronoun is placed

between the verb and the particle

so I would have: call + pronoun + off

he called it off

so that's the basic theory covered
