Youtube daily Nov 4 2018

Hello everyone thanks for tuning in again. Let's get started with another of

our Google Home and Google Assistant latest updates and the newest features

that have all come out for the Google Home and its suite of products all right

guys so if you've never been on automate your life before what we're here for is

to basically give you back that time in your life through home automation life

automation and all the greatest smart home products so if you haven't joined

us already go ahead and click that subscribe button right now join us here

on the channel now let's get into the latest updates here from the Google Home

now the biggest thing to me this week is actually related to something that we

had when the Google Home first came out you had shopping lists and lists and

notes on services like Google keep now Google keep integration is coming

back and right now for many users if you have the latest version of the Google

Assistant application update then you're going to be able to go in and choose

services and pick a notes and list services and of course Google keep is

one of those now of course over time I'm sure Google and their partners will

continue to upgrade the list or the set of listed note applications there but on

top of that Google has also released another web app and it's just making its

way out into the world basically but that new web app will also be a list and

note taker keeper right now Spotify if you go ahead and you sign up for a

premium account they have the ability to get a Google Home Mini so if you haven't

chosen a music service or you're thinking about maybe switching you can

look at this new deal from Spotify and you're going to get at Google Home Mini

one of the reasons I might suggest you look at this is basically Google and all

of their products can use Spotify that's a direct integration and you can always

set that as the default music service on the flipside if you have any Amazon echo

type of products it can also be a default music server

there so that's the one that kind of bridges the gap between those two big

home automation systems but ultimately right now you can get a little extra

with a Google Home meaning something that I feel like I've been talking about

forever and I almost don't care but Sonos has come out and said okay we're

finally going to get the Google Assistant integrated we're not going to

make the end of the year but what we will do is open a beta so there is a

beta and I will leave a link down below in the description to go to that beta

and if you want to sign up and try and get basically to be one of the first

users of the Google Assistant on a Sonos product then you can go ahead and

request that now they're saying it's only a couple hundred houses at first or

a couple hundred homes at first and then kind of expanding to a couple thousand

and then launching in 2019 now here we are we're talking about these great

products but the Google Assistant is kind of what powers these all right now

what's happening in the market is actually Siri from Apple is the most you

smartphone voice assistant so Google still hasn't broken down that and kind

of taken over from Siri but what's what the statistics say right now is 44% of

uses are Siri whereas 30% of uses are the Google Assistant so I think that

means that Google has gotten this out to enough devices that they've started to

gain a big enough market share here and the only real problem I think is the

iPhone where Apple is just not going to allow that to become the default voice

assistant if you have a August smart lock or an August dork

doorbell can Pro those two products now have additional features with your

Google Home and your Google Assistant the additional features are basically

unlocking your door and that's something that I thought would take a lot longer

than it has but what Google has implemented as basically a security

authentication so a second code or password here that will allow you to

unlock your door on top of that the doorbell

camp row the reason that that's included in this update is it is now able to

announce your visitors or that feature is coming here relatively soon now of

course we're all waiting for Google duplex to show up on our whole suite of

Google Assistant enabled devices we've seen that it's coming to the pixel 3

here and then it's gonna roll out basically city by city in the US and out

from there now the other side of this and I think this is really critical and

especially if you're a small business owner you need to be thinking about this

right now there is a Google Assistant setting now

showing up on your business listing and and if you think about Google Maps how

people are going to call that and the integration with these products here

people are going to ask Google duplex to go ahead and call your business and if

you don't change this setting you may or may not get those calls from potential

customers so I think it's really important for you to as a small business

owner or as a business owner in general think about how you're going to handle

those calls what I also think this tells us for 2019 2020 is that we're likely to

see the answering side of Google duplex start to pick up and integrate with

different services so if you think about taking reservations well we have the

consumer side already in the Google Home application but we don't have the

commercial side just yet so Google clearly clearly has a plan for

integrating services with businesses related to Google duplex and right now

as a business go make sure that you have that Google Assistant setting updated

for your business if you have an Android tablet then you already have Google

Assistant integration but if you're one of those people that went out and bought

earlier versions of a Chromebook and you have Chrome OS it hasn't been available

for all of your devices but there's a new flag basically in some of the code

that actually says all Chromebooks are going to get the ability to basically

turn on an experimental version of Google Assistant on a Chromebook so

this is a massive massive upgrade if you've had one of those Chromebooks for

a while and I think that's going to be pretty useful actually as deeper and

deeper integration occurs and you think about the new slate the pixel slate

they're clearly Google is trying to take that integration further so it's good to

see the old Chromebooks get this and some new functionality now google

chromecast isn't a really expensive device to have to go and upgrade we know

the third-generation device came out here

with not a lot of fanfare around it but what has happened is that there's this

feature of multi-room audio with the new chromecast the older ones now have

basically a rumor and this is one of the first times I'll talk about a rumor

because it came from the Google support team they basically said that by the end

of 2019 your older chromecast are going to be able to be included in multi-room

audio so that's quite a shift for those of us with those older chromecast and I

like to see this from Google something else related to chromecast's and these

smart displays you know you could see my smart display sitting here and it's

rolling through basically all of the different pictures that I have in the

ambient mode settings now if you have an Android phone and you're using Google

photos and you're taking multiple photos on say a walk out in a park or something

what's happening now is Google is associating those pictures together and

so a chromecast enabled device in a smart display will actually kind of show

those at the same time so there's a little bit of more smarts going into how

Google is displaying those photos and I think this is an interesting shift here

and in my head I'm trying to still figure out what this means for the

future now I've been asked about B speakers a number of times there's

basically an insignia set of speakers that you can go buy from Best Buy and

they come with the Assistant on and if you haven't seen these speakers

I'll leave a link down below now they run from 25 to $50 depending on whether

or not you're buying the portable version but what's really interesting

about these is they keep getting updated and they keep getting more capable so

Google Home Max has a capability of being a left and right speaker pair you

can actually pair that up well so do these now and for 50 dollars they've now

become a speaker pair and and have that capability of creating a really

different audio experience so for 50 dollars this is something to look at I

think guys and we're hearing they are getting all the Google Assistant updates

for multi-room audio that we're going to see on the other basically chromecast

enabled devices and third-party devices with Google Assistant on board so really

powerful stuff for a very very low price and from what I've been told these are a

good value buy I don't have them here in my home but from what I understand good

value buy good speaker for the dollar so there you have it guys hopefully this

has helped you out of course as always go ahead click that subscribe button at

the end of the video here and we love to have you on board and of course we're

here to give you more of your time back so if I take 10 minutes of your time

with one of these videos my goal is to give you more than that back with some

of our home automation or life automation videos so stay tuned everyone

thanks for watching and we'll see you next time

How to Create a Cupcake Updo 🍰 Style Files Hair Tutorial | Sunny Day | Nick Jr. - Duration: 3:19.

It's time to get styling with Sunny Day's Style Files.

Hi, it's me, Sunny, with another look inside the Style Files.

How would you like your hair to look like a sweet treat?

- Yeah! - Awesome!

Grab the tablet to check out the things you'll need

for a cupcake up do.

A hairbrush, comb, hair elastics, hair pins, cupcake wrappers,

red pom-poms and pink color hair spray.

This is gonna be so cool!

Brush your hair until there are no tangles.

Part your hair down the centre with a comb.

Start making a high pony tail above the ear.

And secure with an elastic.

Do the same thing to the other side!

Take the cupcake wrapper and make a hole in the bottom.

Starting at the top, twist the ponytail and work your way down.

Then take the cupcake wrapper, thread it through the bottom

and slide it up until it's flat against your head.

Secure the wrapper in place!

Now coil your hair round and round until all of the hair is fully tucked inside.

Use pins underneath the bun to secure it.

It's starting to look like a cupcake!

Repeat the process on the other side.

Twist your hair.

Thread the hole.

And coil inside the cupcake wrapper.

The tighter the twist,

the easier it will be to coil into the wrapper.

Adorable!

Use the pink color spray to make the frosting.

A paper towel will help you keep the color where it needs to go.

Decorate using a red pom-pom!

Because every cupcake is better with a cherry on top!

Mmm, it looks good enough to eat!

[giggling]

- Are you ready to see your hairstyle? - Ready, Sunny!

Great, take a look!

Wow, it looks amazing!

- Great work, Sunny! - Excellent!

Good enough to eat!

I love that one!

[giggling]

How Donald Trump's base is hurting from his trade wars but sticking with their man - Duration: 6:39.

This is Trump country, as the reception shows.

"USA! USA! USA! USA!"

An adoring crowd greets the President

like a hero returned.

"Hello Iowa"

For the next eighty minutes Mr.Trump hits all his favourite lines.

"Our hearts bleed red, white and blue"

But above all, one theme stands out: Trade.

"With China over the last five, six years we've been losing 300 to 500 billion dollars a year. Billion!

"We have finalised a new fair trade deal for South Korea.

The European Union sounds

so nice, right? They are brutal they formed in order to take advantage of us on trade.

We will make America great again!"

The message is well received here

among the President's faithful, as the huge banner that hangs behind him

reads: 'Promises made, promises kept.'

and there is no doubt that Donald Trump

almost two years after taking office has delivered his pledge to shake things up on trade.

America is out of the trans-pacific partnership.

NAFTA has been renegotiated

and tariffs have been whacked on billions of dollars worth of

steel and aluminium imports.

Free trade is being challenged

but at what cost?

Other nations have hit back with tariffs of their own.

Many targeting the very supporters who got Mr.Trump into the White House.

Start driving northeast from

Council Bluffs and you soon get to the farming heart of Iowa.

This is a swing state.

Barack Obama won it in 2008 and 2012

bur Mr.Trump romped home to a 10-point victory in 2016.

It is also a state of soybean farms.

Some 40,000 jobs are tied

to the crop here.

Many, like Jeff Frank, supported Mr.Trump

"I'm the fourth generation on this farm,

You know, I grew up here.

The house was built when my mom was 2 years old.

This is actually my grandpa with the

corn sheller back when we used to pick corn on the ear and it would separate the corn

from the cob."

When harvest comes Jeff can spend up to 14 hours a day in this vast

combine harvester working back and forth across the fields

"It's peaceful here.

You don't have anybody bothering, you don't have anybody you're asking you questions.

You don't have anyone around. It's a great time to think."

In July, China responded to President Trump's trade war

with a tariff of their own on soybeans.

All US soybean imports were hit with a 25% tariff. Meaning they became a quarter more

extensive to Chinese businesses overnight.

The move sent demand for US

soybean spiraling and triggered a sink in price.

At the start of the year

farmers like Jeff could get around $10 a bushel, now it is more like eight.

"We can't be profitable if the price of what we sell doesn't cover our input

costs so you know it's an issue. That's how people go bankrupt."

Jeff fears 2019 could be worse than this year and accepts that Trump voters have indeed

been hit.

"He's probably hurting the people that supported him the most but you know

we're big people which we can overlook some

things you know we need to see the end result.

Hopefully this tariff gets resolved and we all turn out better.

And his trade strategy I think is good because in the long run they have to come to us

We are the supplier. They cannot survive without us completely."

Around a thousand miles east from Jeff's farm is Pennsylvania.

Another swing state that Mr.Trump won.

His victory here was even more impressive than Iowa.

No Republican had won this date since 1988

Understanding towns like Wilkes-Barre in

Luzerne County is at the core of working out what happened in the Trump revolution.

"Our rich and abundant soil provides more than a living. It provides a beautiful

way of life for a lot of people."

This is the heart of the Rust Belt,

a cluster of traditionally Democrat states whose industrial decline meant voters were

open to Mr.Trump's protectionist message.

"We will rebuild rural America"

Journalist Ben Bradlee Jr. wrote a book all about Trump's voters in this county

He understands why President Trump's message resonated.

"This is coal country,

it was, but the coal industry gradually died out in the 60s and was

replaced by manufacturing in this area.

Most of them either closed or went

abroad and so into that climate came Trump and he found a ripe audience here.

The Democrats felt that their party had left them behind.

Trump filled the void.

They say you fall in love with your therapist because you feel heard

and these people felt heard by Donald Trump."

Bradlee says that out of the 12

Trump supporters his book focuses on just a single one is wavering today

There is certainly no wavering from Lynette Villano.

"I never saw anything

like it before in my life and I've been working polls for thirty years. They were

coming to vote but they were coming with their Trump shirts on they were coming

with their hats on and it was just overwhelming."

It was the prospect of something different that appealed - a chance for change

"I think we were getting really disgusted with what was going on in

Washington, and for both sides because no matter who you sent there things weren't

changing and then along came Donald Trump who had this vision for America

that we could all reach out to.

So, Trump voters are showing few signs of buyers' remorse.

Steel factories may not have reappeared by the dozen.

The tariffs may be hurting his base as much as those abroad,

but the president feels his supporters pain or at least appears to and is banging the table to get

something done.

Lynette, like millions of others across America, is sticking by her man.

"He's the first president that made promises and it's promises made promises kept."

Overactive Nerves - Duration: 6:43.

hey you it's Evie :) welcome back to make channel spoonie's if you're new here

this channel is my main channel and it's all based around chronic illnesses as

per usual lately I've been very unorganized so we got some funky

lighting going on and a little bit of mix-up but that's normal here so you

guys for my last video thank you so much for all the love my mouth still hurts

that was six hours in the dentist tooth pulled

it was just it was just a mess but and it still hurts like hell and that's why

I'm gonna make this video I need some ideas with videos let me know what you

want to see anything ideas help today is Halloween so happy Halloween if you

celebrate kids are gonna be here soon and the neighbor kiddo is gonna be here

soon - and I gotta paint faces and everything her parents are not gonna be

home in time from work so I'm going to try painting her face but I can't even

remember what her costume was Xena is gonna be Miguel I think is how you

pronounce it hopefully this this trick-or-treat won't be too busy I can

actually get a picture and um Gracie's a purple crayon man it was so funny when

we found it I Neeson picked her up and tipped her upside down because her hat

looks like the typical Koran it's like right on the floor it was it was really

cute Friday I'm a nervous wreck because I go in from my other half of my mouth

that's at least a four-hour appointment he said and another tooth on the back

it's got to be pulled so I'm gonna have it all open there and you know with the

autoimmune issue I have its I was hoping he was gonna be healed further I knew

this was gonna happen but I don't want to reschedule cuz you guys know how I am

with the dentist but um enough whining to all of you I wanted to talk to you

about the overactive nerves and I wanted to share a couple different little

stories quick about that okay please please comment down below share any

little stories that you may have or just certain things now I'm not talking about

like sensory overload that many with fiber have I'm not saying everyone with

fibromyalgia has over sensitive nerves I know there's

naysayers that saying there's no such thing was right with fibromyalgia in

time some have what seems to be really good evidence I'll link that down below

I don't know all I know is I deal with it and it sucks okay

example the dentist you're naturally everybody like to say this save tooth

back hairs bothering you right Olson you'll feel like the tooth below you

swear that once the bad toothache or also is your front tooth it's like that

but times 10 it's like more extreme it's like um it's like clothes that just

touch you but that's more sensory you guys ever have a weird thing like you go

to scratch your knee or like your thigh and it like a zap goes to your back you

go ahead that before you know that there's some weird stuff but offhand you

like the mouse the mouths been really annoying okay because it it goes up and

down it'll feel good and then Olson it just hurts and it's like really deep

it's almost like you want to itch it but I guess that's where I had the abscess

to so maybe that's also part of the reason why it's taking longer to heal a

good example would be having Xander was the worst well I was able to go all

natural with Gracie and I tried so hard to go all natural with Xander oh god you

guys I tried so hard but after 20 plus hours I like I I couldn't do it no more

and I'm glad I did because that's when all of a sudden I started what's that

called when you're dilating I started dilating finally and they said

my body must have just been just that much more pain that it wouldn't it

wouldn't loose went loosen up enough to let me dilate but what was really weird

was I only I was only the epidural only worked half like my nerves only worked

for the half when I go to the dentist and they do those stupid injections

I always need more numbing stuff always always always there's been at

least three times that um the this stuff has worn off but I'm not joking like six

shots at least whatever they're working on at the dentist it's ridiculous but it

seems like anything that has to do with your nerves it's an extreme and so I

wanted to make this video to see what you guys thought like what are your

guys's experience with overactive nerves ah I wish I could think of some more but

if you guys want to have more like a more informational kind of video where I

can I read a little more to you guys and I know what they think the causes are

you know whatever let me know I'll do that but this one was it was on my mind

and I wanted to share it with you and I went away you guys some of your guys's

stories yeah that epidural I was really upset that it was just half because I

felt so bad doing it you know to each of their own but it was my goal to do it

natural because that's what I had my first kid and I wanted to do with my

second but he's here he's healthy and he's five now you guys

Oh for those that actually stay in life listen to my whole video so I got a

little bit of idea I'm right told you that giveaways gonna be coming soon but

I'm trying to plan something different so I'm gonna plan on something probably

a hundred percent but like spot the difference kind of video nobody's done

that on YouTube that I know of so maybe that can be our thing let me know what

you think I would do it through video and you guys would have to spot the

differences let me know alright love us thanks so much for watching and if

you're new here I'd love for you subscribed right our Spoony fam and I

will see you guys in the next video

if you wanna see some crazy and also they see that you should meet me and my

friends even though we got no money you shot yourself finding everything's

better with them we just start who we don't worry about tomorrow

The importance of site structure for the search engine - NEW Site structure training - Duration: 0:34.

In the previous video, we explained why site structure is important for your users.

We talked about navigation, user experience and user signals.

In this video, we'll explore the other side of the coin: the importance of site structure

for the search engine.

We'll focus less on organizing and classifying your content and more on internal linking here.

Because internal linking - and by that we mean linking from one page on your website

to another page on your website - helps the search engines to index and rank the pages

of your site.

Lukas Graham - 7 Years (Lyric) - AMV - Duration: 3:52.

Once I was seven years old

my momma told me

Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely

Once I was seven years old

It was a big big world,

but we thought we were bigger

Pushing each other to the limits,

we were learning quicker

By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor

Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure

Once I was eleven years old

my daddy told me

Go get yourself a wife or you'll be lonely

Once I was eleven years old

I always had that dream

like my daddy before me

So I started writing songs, I started writing stories

Something about that glory

just always seemed to bore me

'Cause only those I really love will ever really know me

Once I was twenty years old,

my story got told

Before the morning sun,

when life was lonely

Once I was twenty years old

(Lukas Graham!)

I only see my goals,

I don't believe in failure

'Cause I know the smallest voices,

they can make it major

I got my boys with me

at least those in favor

And if we don't meet before I leave,

I hope I'll see you later

Once I was twenty years old,

my story got told

I was writing about everything, I saw before me

Once I was twenty years old

Soon we'll be thirty years old,

our songs have been sold

We've traveled around the world and we're still roaming

Soon we'll be thirty years old

I'm still learning about life

My woman brought children for me

So I can sing them all my songs

And I can tell them stories

Most of my boys are with me

Some are still out seeking glory

And some I had to leave behind

My brother I'm still sorry

Soon I'll be sixty years old,

my daddy got sixty-one

Remember life and then your life becomes a better one

I made a man so happy when I wrote a letter once

I hope my children come and visit,

once or twice a month

Soon I'll be sixty years old,

will I think the world is cold

Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me

Soon I'll be sixty years old

Soon I'll be sixty years old,

will I think the world is cold

Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me

Soon I'll be sixty years old

Once I was seven years old,

my momma told me

Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely

Once I was seven years old

Once I was seven years old

TOKIO (Japón) ciudad de CONTRASTES: QUÉ VER en Tokio EN 1 DÍA | #3 Vlog JAPÓN - Duration: 16:47.

We are going to start the third day in Tokyo by visiting the statue of Hachiko

the fuzz let's spend a little bit of pity, if

It is at Exit 8 of Shibuya Station

Shibuya is together with Shinjuku one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Tokyo and the most fashionable

known especially for its large shopping centers and its countless fashion stores

We are crossing the famous Shibuya crossing

to see the crossing from high you can go up to a building that there is a Starbucks, there are some escalators

This crossing is made up of five synchronized zebra crossings so that

When the pedestrian traffic light turns green a large tide of people crosses in all directions

making it the busiest intersection in the world

the story of Hachiko is

a man found a puppy he liked and if he took it home, the dog was so grateful to the man

that every day I went with him to the station, the man to go to work took a train

and in the afternoon he came back, he was out all day, because the dog left him in the morning and waited for him until the night

one day, unfortunately after a few years, this man had a heart attack and never came back and the dog was waiting for him

and then they wanted to get out of there and take it and such, and nothing, every day there, total that they decided

to make him a house there in the station, they fed him, they gave him a drink every day, until he died

and this is, the summary of this sad story, but on the other hand a beautiful story

Are you crying already? fuck male

this is the entrance to Yoyogi Park, in this park is the Meiji Shrine

the Meiji shrine is one of the most important in Japan, it is assumed that this sanctuary is home to

the spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife

let's go and see if we find them

a large tori of cedar presides at the entrance of the road to this Shinto shrine

It is surrounded by a forest with 120 thousand trees

of 365 different species, from donations from all over Japan

These sake barrels are offerings made annually by manufacturers, or distillers of sake

in honor of Emperor Meiji and his wife as to show respect

and in front of the sake barrels there are a lot of barrels of wine

All this

which are also offerings from the French burgundy to the Meiji temple

to promote a relationship between Japan and France, then of cordiality

how you feel? Uff, purified, completely

I'm another

we have bought this wood called ema, you put your wishes ... here behind

you write something that you want to leave here as a memory of yours

and you hang it, now we'll see where

to make them come true, or to make a bundle

for whatever, but let's do it

We just got off at the Akihabara subway, the geek zone par excellence

Akihabara has become the cradle of electronics, technology and Manga

here they are, from impressive shopping centers

even the most dismal and hidden stores where to find the best bargains

and of course, here you can find everything related to Manga culture

from comics, figures, to costumes of the most geek

we want to buy a figure of Vegeta

and they gave us this paper and an Ikea roll pen

you have to put the number of the box and the number of the doll here

then go to the box, and come I guess to see the this and they give it to you

look at her here in the middle

he has already hidden

these girls dressed as maids distribute advertising of maid cafes

bars with waitresses dressed as maidens that delight the male audience

to which they see that you approach with the camera to take a picture or to record or something they hide but a way

Let's see what the hedgehog's coffee?

well, we have climbed this chafardear and it is like a bar that there are some cages with urchins and such

and I guess you can take one, they give you like gloves, and you can pet them, you can feed them

yes, you take pictures, and they are very cuckoos

there was also an owl so very small

and it's supposed to be that, hang out with them

you drink coffee playing with the hedgehog

here is a typical Finnish character that is the Moomin

there is a café here of the characters this Moomin and is all full of stuffed animals, drawings

now we are going to climb the Tokyo Sky Tree which is the tallest tower in Tokyo

and the second highest in the world

to see what sights are all over Tokyo

from down here it's spectacular

fabric, go piece of tower

This 634-meter high broadcasting tower opened in 2012

The structure of this tower is cylindrical to withstand very strong winds

and has a central shaft of reinforced concrete against earthquakes

We are waiting for the elevator to go up to the SkyTree Tower

What the ears?

from above you can see a spectacular view of Tokyo

If you are enjoying our channel, subscribe

there is a piece here that the floor is glass with 300 and a few meters down

my mother, what a yuyu!

apart the tower, here those who get a little dizzy

the tower moves as if it were a ship, from time to time it is doing ...

we are decompressing

now we have bought a ticket to go to the monorail that takes us to the island of Odaiba

It's a huge recreational center, with a Ferris wheel, lots of lights

views from this island to the skyline of Tokyo

is an artificial island that was created for defense in 1850

After the war and all good things decided to do as a park ...

a leisure and amusement park

let's see, I do not know but here everything goes very straight

and very automatic and everything very controlled

but it comes, I would say, from history because of what we are seeing, that there is a hard hand here

this morning I saw two guards circulating on the sidewalk with an extendable steel baton in their hands

and as if it were normal, and with the truncheon

After a while I saw a soldier walking with his medals, his gloves and his wallet

everything military-colored khaki that reminded me of a charge of the world war

It seemed to me, I also saw it, as if it were from the Second World War

it looks like it was from that time, you did not see a modern military suit

here things work because there are clubs

I say, huh?

man, here I do not know what happened but in a moment, we have seen four police cars stop

and 7 or 8 policemen have run out with batons in hand towards the station

and we have already lost track of them and we do not know what has happened

tomorrow we will look at it in the newspaper that we read every morning that is understood as well

we will look at the events, to see what has happened

the first thing we found on the island of Odaiba

is the Palette Town complex, with a recreational center, a karaoke open 24 hours a day

and even a Toyota showroom

this track you see here is for Toyota car tests without a driver

they call it i-Road, smart road

is for cars, so follow the white line

this in robotics has been doing it for at least 12 or 15 years

what is the loading, unloading, sorting and all that is done following robots the white lines

that now apply to civil transport cars

and here they do the tests

Another of the attractions of Odaiba is its 115-meter ferris wheel

that was the highest in the world when it opened in 99

for the geeks, next to the recreational center Diversity Tokyo

there is also a life-size statue of Gundam

surrounded by some stores with articles of this anime

and here we are in Odaiba with a super statue of Gundam

or "Gandam" that does not know how many meters to do this

at least 20, or a little more

beautiful, very currado

and from this island you can also see the spectacular skyline of Tokyo

next to a curious replica of the statue of liberty

now we return to the mainland to have dinner with a friend of Xavi who has been in Tokyo

that will take us to try a typical Japanese food: the okonomiyaki

in many restaurants in Japan it is common to have them take off their shoes before sitting down to eat

and they always bring you wet wipes to clean your hands

We are with my colleague Miquel de Molins de Rei

We are colleagues from the EGB, we went by bike, well we know a long time ago

and what a coincidence to find us here

and by chance, through another colleague, Mike, a greeting to Mike of course

he found out that we would be here

and then we got in touch yesterday we were going around

and today to do the auction, Miquel has advised us to come and eat Okonomiyaki

a typical japanese dish

It's like a jumble with a cabbage base

you can put meat, fish

the truth is that it is very rich

a pleasure huh? find you here

Well, dude, you see

we have seen more here than in Barcelona

we see more here than there, I tell you

wing, chao

Who was Michael Dertouzos?

Everything You need to know about professor Michael Dertouzos.

He was a computer scientist who foresaw how the internet would impact the lives of everyday

people, Dertouzos predicted the popularity of personal computers and helped to maximize

their potential as director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Laboratory for

Computer Science.

Born in Athens, Greece on this day in 1936, Dertouzos was the son of a concert pianist

and an admiral in the Greek navy.

Upon graduation from Athens College, he attended the University of Arkansas on a Fulbright

Scholarship and earned a Ph.D. from MIT, joining the faculty in 1968.

Under Dertouzos' guidance, the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science grew into a thriving

research center employing hundreds of people collaborating on innovations like distributed

systems, time-sharing computers, the ArpaNet, and RSA encryption, an algorithm used to ensure

secure data transmission.

Dertouzos worked to make LCS the North American home of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C),

an alliance of companies promoting the Web's evolution and interconnectivity.

Dertouzos recruited Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web, to run

it.

As early as 1980, Dertouzos was writing about "The Information Marketplace" a concept

that he expanded on in his book 1997 book What Will Be: How the New World of Information

Will Change Our Lives.

"If we strip the hype away," he observed, "a simple, crisp and inevitable picture

emerges -- of an Information Marketplace where people and their computers will buy, sell

and freely exchange information and information work."

Insisting on the importance of bringing "technology into our lives, and not vice versa," Dertouzos

spurred LCS to head up the 1999 Oxygen project in partnership with MIT's Artificial Intelligence

Lab.

The goal of this massive project was to make computers "as natural a part of our environment

as the air we breathe."

As reflected in the title of his final book, The Unfinished Revolution: Human-Centered

Computers and What They Can Do For Us, Dertouzos' belief in technology was always grounded in

his desire to unleash the full potential of humanity.
