THE DEW POINTS ARE LOW.

THIS IS SLATED TO CHANGE.

MAINLY CLEAR NOW, SEEING HIGH

CLOUDS.

WE START OUT WITH TEMPERATURES.

YOUR IS WHAT I WANT YOU TO BE

AWARE OF.

TEMPERATURES RETURN OVERNIGHT.

IT WILL BE QUITE MUGGY FRIDAY

INTO SATURDAY WITH A COUPLE OF

ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS, BUT

ALSO OPPORTUNITIES TO ENJOY

SUMMER ACTIVITIES.

DO IT INTELLIGENTLY, KEEP AN EYE

TO THE SKY.

SPEAKING ABO THAT, THESE ARE

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.

A LOT OF WATCHES IN EFFECT AS

THE LEADING EDGE OF THE WARM AIR

MAKES AN APPROACH.

7:00 TOMORROW MORNING, THERE

COULD BE HIGH CLOUDS AROUND AND

BREAKS OF SUN, NO RAIN.

LET'S JUMP AHEAD TO THE EARLY

AFTERNOON.

WE GET BRIGHTER.

IT IS AN OK SUMMERTIME DAY

OUTSIDE.

THEN TOMORROW NIGHT, STILL OK IN

THE EARLY EVENING.

THEN LATER, WE WATCHED STORMS

ACROSS NEW HAMPSHIRE AND SOME OF

THOSE CUTTING ACROSS THE REGION

TONIGHT AND FRIDAY.

HIGH TEMPERATURES UP FROM TODAY,

AVERAGING LOW 80'S IN MANY

PLACES, HUMIDITY IS OUT BUT

STILL TOLERABLE.

-- UP BUT STILL TOLERABLE.

FRIDAY WE GET SOME SUNSHINE, AND

IT IS WARM AND HUMID.

WE HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR POP-UP

THUNDERSTORMS NORTH AND WEST

FRIDAY.

ONE OR TWO COULD COME ACROSS

BOSTON FRIDAY EVENING OR FRIDAY

NIGHT AS YOU AN SEE BY THE

CLOCK UP THERE.

NOW WE WILL TAKE YOU TO SATURDAY

AND GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT

THAT WILL BE LIKE AFTER THE JUMP

IN THE DEW POINT, BEGINNING

FRIDAY AND LASTING INTO SUNDAY.

SATURDAY LOOKS LIKE A DAY THAT

IN EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS, THE

THIRD MEERUT -- GET THE STORMS

OUT.

90 ON SATURDAY, AND DEPENDING ON

HOW QUICKLY THE FRONT MOVES

THROUGH, WE HAVE THUNDERSTORMS

RISKING THAT ON SUNDAY.

THEN IT LOOKS LIKE IT TURNS LESS

HUMID FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

WHEN I PUT THERE FOR NEXT

WEDNESDAY, THAT IS A WEEK OUT.

I COULD LOOK DIFFERENT.

THERE IS A POSSIBILITY WE GET

WET WEATHER AND COOLER

TEMPERATURES.

IT IS NOT LOCKED IN BY ANY

MEANS.

A GOOD CHUNK OF THE HOLIDAY

THE U-S CONSUMES MORE THAN 99-

PERCENT OF THE WORLD'S

HYDROCODONE.

THE NUMBERS ARE CRAZY TO THINK

ABOUT.

LOOK AT THIS...

THESE ARE THE TOP THREE

COUNTRIES.

NUMBER TWO -- THE UNITED KINGDOM

--

USES ABOUT 200 KILOGRAMS A YEAR.

THE U-S -- AT THE TOP -- JUMPS

UP TO

ALMOST 80- THOUSAND KILOS.

SO, HOW ARE HYDROCODONE AND

OTHER OPIOIDS GETTING HERE ...?

WE WENT TO THE DRUG

ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION' TO

TRACK THE SUPPLY CHAIN.

HERE'S JESSICA SCHAMBACH.

STATISTIC--- SALTER SAYS THREE

OUT OF EVERY FIVE' HEROIN

ADDICTS STARTED

ON OPIOIDS.

A DANGEROUS STRAIN OF

NARCAN-RESISTANT HEROIN IS

BECOMING MORE POPULAR. NARCAN

CAN REVERSE THE

EFFECTS OF AN OVERDOSE. FIRST

RESPONDERS SAY THE NEW

STRAIN IS A COMBINATION OF

FENTANYL AND HEROIN.

IT'S LINKED TO DEATHS IN CHICAGO

AND PITTSBURGH.

IT'S A NEW DRUG THAT IS

LITERALLY A

KILLER COCKTAIL.

THE LATEST DRUG HITTING

AMERICA'S

STREETS IN RESPONSE TO THE

OPIOID CRISIS.

THIS DRUG IS SO STRONG IT CAN

KILL

THE USER QUICKLY.

THIS PICTURE SHOWS HOW MUCH

HEROIN AND FENTANYL IS

CONSIDERED A DEADLY DOSE. ON THE

RIGHT IS THE DRUG GRAY

DEATH.' SOME EXPERTS SAY THEY

ARE WATCHING FOR IT TO HIT

OKLAHOMA.

AS THE OPIOID CRISIS CONTINUES

IN OUR COUNTRY, USERS ARE

FINDING

IT HARD TO GET THE PRESCRIPTION

OPIOID DRUGS AND NOW grey

ANY

CASES OF GRAY DEATH IN OKC. BUT

KIMBERLY FARRIS SAYS SHE

TALKING TO HER COLLEAGES IN

DALLAS.

"what we have found is whatever

is going on

there that if its not happening

in okc then its just around the

corner" AND SHE

SAYS IT'S DIFFICULT TO TREAT

SIMPLY

BECAUSE IT'S SO LETHAL. "people

aren't living long enough to

seek

treatment once they have tried

the grey

death"

THE TYPICAL TREND GOES, OHIO,

ATLANTA, DALLAS AND THEN OKC.

OPIOID OVERDOSES.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS

YEAR IT'S HAPPENED.

THIS YEAR THEY'RE EXPECTING TO

DO 29-THOUSAND AUTOPSIES.

THAT'S A 50- PERCENT INCREASE

OVER LAST YEAR.

THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE WANTS

TO USE PRISON TO HELP FIGHT THE

STATE OF ADDICTION.

ATTORNEY GENERAL JEFF SESSIONS

WANTS TO IMPLEMENT

OFFENDERS.

IT'S A BIG REVERSAL FROM THE

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION'S APPROACH.

WHEN ERIC HOLDER WAS ATTORNEY

GENERAL, HE IMPLEMENTED

SHORTER SENTENCES FOR

NON-VIOLENT, DRUG OFFENDERS.

CRITICS SAY MOVING AWAY FROM

THAT IS COSTLY AND A BURDEN ON

OVER-CROWDED PRISONS.

THEY SAY IT ALSO DOESN'T IMPROVE

SAFETY.

OPIOIDS DON'T AFFECT JUST THE

ADDICT.

THEY ALSO AFFECT THE ADDICT'S

FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

YUNA LEE FROM OUR SISTER STATION

HOW THEY'RE WINNING THE BATTLE

WITH TOUGH LOVE.

THESE WERE THE BETTER DAYS...

PRE ADDICTION...

THEN...

ABOUT FIVE YEARS AGO...

THE SITUATION ESCALATED...

"I was afraid to be home alone

with him."

AFRAID OF HER MIDDLE SON,

CHRIS...

"finally, it got to the point

where we couldn't

take it anymore."

"the problems seemed to

escalate, so, we had

police take him out of here a

couple of times"

A RESTRAINING ORDER WAS

EVENTUALLY PLACED AGAINST CHRIS

KENNETH AND CAROL BUTLER...

HAD TO BREAK TIES WITH THEIR

MIDDLE

SON, CHRIS...

ALL BECAUSE OF HIS DEPENDENCE ON

OPIOIDS AND OTHER DRUGS...

THEY HAD ENOUGH OF DECEIT,

THEFT, AND VIOLENCE...

"we told him dont ever come

back.

i dont ever want to see you

again.

CHRIS BECAME HOMELESS ...

JOBLESS...

STILL ADDICTED TOOPIOIDS...

"i thought we were going to get

a call

saying he was dead.

AND THE BUTLERS...

FELT HOPELESS...

"you go through shame, I am so

embarrassed that I let this

happen.

And I blame myself a lot.

And its not my fault"

"I never wanted to hurt him but

I don't want to

hurt anybody's feelings, but

when you're busting

things up, punching things, its

just- the

whole situation as out of

control and the best way was

"out" "please leave"

"I didn't have any idea i hurt

them as much as i

did"

NOW 28 YEARS OLD, CHRIS SAYS...

ALCOHOL AND RECREATIONAL

DRUGS STARTED IN HIGH SCHOOL ...

BUT HE GOT ADDICTED TO

OPIOIDS..

FIVE YEARS AGO...

"I started taking pills pretty

much every day,

doing crazy stuff to get them.

then from oxycodone, it

progressed to morphine

and i would always get sick if i

didnt have the

BUT HE ALWAYS MANAGED TO GET HIS

HANDS ON OPIOIDS...

"its very easy to find

painkillers.

the medicine cabinet at your

house, your friends parents who

have them and they are

everywhere, doctors are

prescribing them like its

candy"

AND HE OVERDOSED SEVERAL

TIMES...

"its scary at first but

throughout my addiction it got

so bad to the point, through the

end of it, i was trying to

overdose on drugs to

get out of it completely"

HE SAYS HE FOUND HIMSELF

HOMELESS

AND JOBLESS, AFTER HIS PARENTS

KICKED HIM OUT.

ALTHOUGH HE HAD BEEN TO REHAB

SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE...

HE SAYS THIS WAS HIS ROCK

BOTTOM.

"there is hope.

i would highly suggest going to

rehab. That is one

thing,decision point has saved

my life multiple times. But you

also have to do it for yourself

and not for

anybody else

IT'S STILL AN UPHILL BATTLE...

SIX MONTHS CLEAN, THE COURT

STILL

HAS A RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST

CHRIS, REGARDING HIS PARENTS.

BUT...

HE'S BACK IN THEIR LIVES...

AND ON THE ROAD TO IMPROVEMENT.

"luckily my parents, and not

just my parents but

my brothers gave me another

chance, more chances than i can

thank them for, to be

back in their lives"

"I thank God every day.

every day for giving us Chris

back"

"this is a success story instead

of a statistic

overdose." "we are so lucky"

"a little over six months clean

and he's happy.

He is Chris.

Just like a totally different

person"

THAT WAS YUNA LEE REPORTIN

CHRIS SAYS HE'S TAKING IT SLOW.

IN THE PAST SIX MONTHS, HE'S

STAYED SOBER AND FOUND A FULL

TIME

JOB.

ONCE THE COURT COSTS ARE PAID,

HIS

PARENTS SAY THE RESTRAINING

ORDER WILL BE LIFTED.

Find your calm Conquer your chaos. Instant calm cue. Mikayla Holmes. Get calm instantly - Duration: 9:31.

Instant Calm Hi my name is Mikayla Holmes.

I am going to show you what I call my first aid calm tip that you can use it anywhere

and at any time.

Do you wish you could stop your anxiety rising, stop your mind spiralling into depression

and turn the chaos of stress in your mind and actually be relaxed enough to find calm.

The best thing is this is FREE, I will demonstrate the technique and you can start and use this

straight away as well as when you feel your emotions running away.

How many times do you have to hit rock bottom before you realise that you dont want to keep

going there and that answers and solutions wont come when you are in a state of chaos.

I have simplified very complex solutions after years of research and personally trying so

many different methods.

This is my experience and I have huge successes with it, which is why I want to share this.

You can listen to the so called experts with book knowledge or I can share with you what

I do, from my real life experience and it works for me.

There is a plethora of information on the net and sifting through it is time consuming

and a nightmare.

There are other solutions available and some of them are too complex, but in my experience,

I had to find a solution that I could use every day with no effort and yet achieve massive

results.

I make no promises or guarantees about the results you will get or how you will feel,

as that is up to you and if you want to practice this.

If you can relate to any of these situation then you will understand why you need calm

immediately.

Imagine you are at the checkout of the supermarket, the kids are demanding your attention and

its all you can do to hold it together, finish the shopping not shout at the kids and stop

yourself from running out of the store like a crazy lady because its all too much.

How about when someone cuts you off in traffic, are you going to pull over and meditate to

ground yourself?

When your boss confronts you, its not like you can say sorry you will have to wait till

I get on my app and control breathe.

What about if you are dealing with someone irate at work and you cant walk away, are

you going to say your ruining my personal bubble and ignore them.

What about when you are in a social situation and mid conversation you close your eyes and

go to a happy place in your mind.

When sitting in a work meeting and to stop your anxiety you are hardly going ask for

5 minutes to journal your emotions.

Do your kids and partner demand your attention, you cant drop everything right there and then

and find a quiet spot to zen out with a guided meditation.

Or when I wake at 4am, it was impossible for me to stop thinking and go back to sleep.

So anything that involves anything more than a deep breathe is too much to think about

at that time of chaos.

Here is my first aid technique that I use daily to create a calm habit so that when

chaos strikes, and it will, because no matter how my perceived control you have chaos will

always find you.

All you can do is manage yourself, your emotions and how you respond without reacting and regretting

it later.

I needed immediate self-administered relief and this works for me every time.

Its self-empowering and with a clearer mind I find my calm so that I can get through the

challenges easier.

Calm technique I needed a technique that could stop my brain

thinking because the causes of stress, anxiety and depression start in the brain with fear,

past experiences, worry and chronic overthinking.

But I have discovered that most people just cant stop thinking no matter how much they

try and relax or meditate.

A slow and deep breathing is the cornerstone of calm.

Your breath brings more awareness into your body, as oxygen fuels every cell it increasing

your consciousness of the depth of this present moment.

Making a conscious effort to take a deep breathe shifts your focus from your thoughts to everything

else that is going on around and within you.

Did you also know that when you exhale you can release up to 70% of the toxins in your

body.

So I breathe in calm and exhale chaos.

The third part to the simple yet effective technique is to smile.

Negative emotions allow us to focus our awareness and they are trying to connect you to problems

so that you can find solutions.

They help us to zone in on a problem so we can not only deal with it but learn from it.

But too many negative emotions can make us feel overwhelmed, anxious, mentally and physically

exhausted, or stressed out.

Positive emotions balance out negative ones and together they both play a vital role in

your overall well bring.

Positive emotions also build our resilience which helps us emotionally cope better.

Positive emotions feel good because they are good for you.

Acknowledge the negative but dont dwell on them.

Embrace and enjoy the positive feelings.

Being positive makes you more aware, stops the chaos of your thoughts and creates a break

between your thoughts.

The more positive you are the better you will feel and more you will want and strive for

this feeling.

So now for the simple technique that stops my chaos, calms my mind and body all in one

second.

STOP - BREATHE - SMILE Place your hand on you diaphragm this anchors

the positive belief and allows you to feel your heart beat as well as the bottom of your

lungs.

Take one deep breath.

Making the conscious effort is enough to stop the chaos of your brain and that second breaks

the endless thought patterns.

As you breathe out smile and this will change your energy from negative to a glimmer of

hope.

So I have combined number of techniques into a calm cue I use every day and have created

the calming habit that allows me to sleep better, get through stressful situations and

stops my chronic over analysing of a problem.

STOP - BREATHE - SMILE There you have my free calm technique and

it my first aid tip.

Of course maintaining your calm is not quite that simple and just like bathing you will

have to do this daily.

The best way to find more calm in your life is to use this technique, practice it daily.

other calm reminders tips and tricks.
