Youtube daily Jan 10 2019

Here's a not so fun fact for everyone in this country.

Last year, 2018 more people died in the United States from eating tainted food products than

they did from illegal immigrants.

Food badly inspected or not inspected.

Food in this country killed more people than illegal immigrants did in 2018, and I bring

that up to bring this up.

The FDA has announced that because of the partial government shutdown, they're no longer

able to inspect food processing facilities or food in general in the United States right

now.

They have halted all of their food inspections in the United States, and this is coming off

a time when we just saw massive Romaine lettuce recalls because people died from eating Romaine

lettuce, ground Turkey recalls ground beef, recalls a frozen dessert.

Recalls dairy recalls, massive food recalls in 2018 alone because people were dying.

And here we are kicking off 20, 19 and the FDA says, well, we can inspect anything even

though we know there's a ton of dangerous food out there.

So oh well, be careful what you eat.

Hope you don't die from the president's temper tantrum.

And again, the real irony here is the fact that the government is only shut down right

now because Trump wants a border wall that he claims is going to save American lives

and in the process we are likely going to see more people die from bad food in the United

States because of the shutdown over the wall.

This doesn't make any sense right now the FDA commissioner is scrambling, trying to

at least come up with a little bit of money to carry out inspections for some of the most

high risk as they call them a food product, seafood and dairy.

Those are the ones that typically can get contaminated very easily.

So he wants to try to find the money to at least inspect that stuff before it goes into

a consumer's body.

Right now he can't though.

So while the FDA is on average or was on average, a inspecting about 160 different plants across

the country every single week, now that number has fallen to zero.

So get ready, get ready for the headlines.

Get ready for people dropping dead from eating contaminated food in the United States.

And when that happens, just remember that these people are dying because the FDA can't

do it's job because the president wants his vanity border wall project funded.

Stuffed Shrimp Recipe - Stuffed Shrimp With Crabmeat - Keto Diet Recipes - Duration: 8:07.

thanks for coming my no hippie BBQ this is Lyle and a while back a subscriber of

mine sent a recipe that he thought I should hook up the name of that recipe

was Shreveport shrimp now I looked at that recipe I mean it had a ton of

ingredients but when you really boil it down really all that you're going to be

doing is kind of making a crab cake out of these ingredients and then stuffing

your shrimp I am going to be making mine a little keto friendly so instead of

using bread crumbs or anything like that we are going to be using almond flour

now in the Shreveport shrimp what you end up doing at the end of this is you

end up coating the shrimp with the you know a flour mixture and then deep-fry

it or pan fry it we're not going to be doing that my recipe is going to be

inspired by that but we are going to just be baking these I might be baking

them in my new toaster oven I'm not sure yet the ingredients that we're going to

need for this and really you know what in the description below I'm going to

leave the recipe this kind of inspired me to make this even though I am kind of

going off the reservation a bit as far as some of these ingredients go this is

one of those recipes that you can turn into your own really I think that you

could make this however you on anyway the ingredients I'm going with as I have

some parsley that's been minced we're going to need some butter I have a tried

pepper blend which is orange pepper yellow pepper red pepper some jalapenos

to spice it up a little bit we're going to be using some shallots that are diced

celery that's been diced like said almond flour and place of bread crumbs

Old Bay seasoning is gonna be great with this minced garlic I'm just using the

bottle of lemon juice if you want to get fresh lemons go get fresh lemons I got

sour cream crab claw meat and I always prefer to use Dijon mustard but this is

what I have on hand so this is what we're rocking with and in the

refrigerator I have some pretty jumbo sized shrimp I think

there were 12 count shrimp and I have those deveined and butterfly first thing

we need to do is get some of these vegetables cooked down so let's get on

with that sauteing these vegetables should take about five minutes we do

just want to cook them until they become popular one of the ingredients that I

may add to this recipe down the road is going to be an egg it was used in the

recipe that I'm using as inspiration but I may not need it in this one

and I am just eyeballing all these ingredients but if you'd like like I

said I will be leaving the original recipe in the description below

well cook down to where they're softened I'm gonna turn off my skillet throw my

parsley in and just let it cool down so we can work with it when we make our

stuffing myself from dirtying up a bull I'm just going to mix everything in the

skillet that we have here at this point all we need to do is add the rest of our

ingredients and I have a pretty good idea of what the ingredients and amounts

are that we're going to be adding to this so like I had mentioned earlier I

am just eyeballing this so we've got our mustard our garlic tab bit of lemon

juice sour cream

we'll be seasoning I will be able to adjust for flavor down the road and our

crabmeat now that I have that parsley incorporated we're gonna add our almond

flour now we're just gonna get busy with their hands roll up these sleeves and if

needed I will add some more almond flour if I think it's not binding enough like

I mentioned earlier we're not adding egg I'm not sure if it's really all that

necessary in this so I think this is good to go no need for egg no need for

any more almond flour I'm gonna pull my shrimp out of the refrigerator and start

stuffing those so change of plans guys we're gonna be eating this shrimp a

little bit later so rather than stuffing the shrimp now

I'm going to take our crab mixture and I'm just going to form them into little

balls about like that and set them on a plate and we will stuff them a little

bit down the road this should actually even make it a little bit easier to

stuff the shrimp as well and I have about 14 shrimp 5 some of this mixture

leftover will just be making some regular oil crab balls out of them stuff

in this shrimp now the shrimp you can tell that I butterflied it down the

middle and instead of stuffing this side we're gonna lay that side down flat so

our tail is kind of up like that and then we're gonna take our stuffing and

this should curl up while it's cooking throw our stuffing on top and we're just

gonna repeat that for all of these

so this is what we have right here and I'm going to spray it with some olive

oil and now we're going to get them in our toaster oven at 375 degrees and it

should take about ten minutes this is gonna be the first time I use this

toaster oven so we'll see how it comes out

see 375 degrees it's already on 10 minutes let's go ahead and start it get

our rack in alright we'll take a look in ten minutes so here we are fresh out of

the oven I'm going to go ahead and plate up and taste them and see what I think

now this is definitely one of those stuffed shrimp recipes that you're going

to want to get into with the fork since we have so much of that stuffing on here

and go over the top of it with a little bit of lemon juice get in

the subtle heat from those jalapenos if you like some spicy food definitely

Rocco with the jalapenos listen couldn't be happier I'd like to

thank you guys for stopping my no hippie BBQ I appreciate Keto Diet recipes

Pio Gets In A $350,000 Cryo Chamber To Stay Like A Baby Forever | Excess w/ Pio - Duration: 6:54.

Hi, it's Pio with Excess and BET.

I'm out at Clean Market.

Hi, I'm Lily Kunin. I'm one of the founders of Clean Market.

We are a one-stop-shop-for-all -things-wellness.

We have a modern apothecary market,

a functional food café and tonic bar

with everything from super food smoothies to adaptogenic lattes,

and in the back we have our services:

cryotherapy, cryofacials, infrared saunas, and IV drips.

I'm gonna bring you back and introduce you

to our service manager, Jen,

who will be taking care of you today.

Hi, nice to meet you.

Hi, nice to meet you. My name is Jen.

I'm Pio.

Welcome to Clean Market.

Oh, what is this?

This is our thermostat lounge. We have both hot

and cold treatments. These are infrared saunas.

They're all privately booked rooms

for either an hour or half an hour.

The infrared sauna is dry heat but it's set at a 150 degrees.

150 degrees? Oh, I might be sweaty.

Yeah, but that's the point. That's how you get the toxins

out, through your sweat, through your pores.

It's good for the skin, weight-loss, and relaxation.

Well, why don't I go in.

Yeah, go for it.

Wow.

And the lighting here, we can change for you too

and it's chromolighting, so it affects the mood,

so anything you feel like fits your mood,

we can go ahead and set it for you.

So you just let me know which color you feel-

That one, that one, that one.

This one? Yeah, yeah.

Okay. Sounds good. And you're all set.

I'll come back and get you in an hour.

I'm, I'm hot.

I want to go out.

Hey, I'm ready to go. I'm hot.

Okay Pio. You're all set?

We actually have a call button

on the wall here for you to call us.

Oh, I'm sorry. I want this in my bedroom, how much?

For the whole sauna, it's $5,000,

but if you and your friends want to come back

for another hour-long session, it's only $59 per person.

How are you feeling?

Hot. I want to be cold.

Alright, well I have just the thing to cool you down.

Follow me.

Alright, well you said you wanted something cold,

so I hope you're ready.

On our chill side of the spa we have cryotherapy.

This is our $350,000, newest state-of-the-art cryomachine.

A lot of athletes will do this, it helps with muscle recovery,

joint pain, inflammation, helps tighten the skin,

and boost your energy.

But before I get you in, I've got to let you know

that this machine gets to -200 degrees.

It's only a 3-minute treatment.

We do have some gear here

that's gonna keep your safe pressure points warm.

So, we will need you to remove your jewelry.

You can go ahead and leave that here.

No, that's (bleep) up.

Pio, Shoko,

our nurse here, is doing your IV NutriYOUTH drip.

The NutriYOUTH has a miracle molecule called NAD+

that really helps stop anti-aging

at the cellular level.

So, it's gonna keep you looking younger longer.

It's gonna help with youthful energy and brain function.

It's also just gonna turn over all your cells.

Not gonna hurt, she's one of the best in the field.

You're doing great, Pio.

So this NAD, NutriYOUTH drip is $600.

It's one of our most popular drips.

Takes about three or four hours

for the whole drip to go through your system,

but it's gonna have you looking and feeling youthful again.

So, while you're getting your drip,

we actually usually recommend getting a facial

at the same time. It's a 12-minute cryofacial.

It's not as cold as the machine, don't worry.

It only gets to -150.

It helps with collagen production in the face.

So, along with the NutriYOUTH,

it's gonna help you looking youthful,

it helps with collagen production,

reducing fine lines and blemishes.

I'm just gonna start by cooling down the face.

That's not bad.

Yeah, it's a very relaxing sensation.

I'm just gonna go all around the face

and then we'll work section by section.

Within 12 minutes, as soon as it's done,

you'll see your skin looking tighter,

your pores are smaller, and your skin is glowing.

But we definitely recommend pairing

an infrared sauna with cryotherapy

'cause you want to open up all the pores and detox,

and then tighten up all the pores and replenish.

This is a 12-minute treatment for $55.

We'll just go with the (inaudible).

Searching for Technosignatures. Evidence of Intelligent Alien Civilizations - Duration: 11:32.

Are we alone in the Universe?

It's one of the most difficult and important questions that humanity can ask.

As Arthur C. Clarke noted, it's equally terrifying whether the answer is yes or no.

So if you're going to find evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations, you want to be absolutely certain

about your evidence.

You want to find "technosignatures", unmistakable proof that aliens are out there.

In September 2018, NASA hosted the Technosignatures Workshop at the Lunar and Planetary Institute

in Houston Texas.

This was a meeting of 50 astronomers and space scientists with an expertise in technosignatures.

And the attendees were a who's who in the field, like Jill Tarter, David Kipping, Adam

Frank, David Grinspoon and Jason Wright.

Over the course of three days, the participants gave dozens of presentations with titles like

"Megastructures in waste heat and transit", or "Technosignatures in atmospheres/planetary

evolution".

Fortunately all of their presentations are fully available online, and I plan to mine

these for future episodes.

I'll put a link into the shownotes so you can watch them too.

The outcome of this meeting was put into a document called "NASA and the Search for

Technosignatures", and released to the public on November 28, 2018.

It's only 65 pages and pretty easy to read through, so I highly recommend you check it

out.

Again, I'll link it up below.

So what does the report say?

How can we find those alien civilizations?

Researchers in the field generally cite SETI researcher Jill Tarter as the person who coined

the term "technosignatures".

She defined this as any evidence that technology has been used to modify its environment.

Walk around Earth and you'll see buildings, roads and machines which are evidence of our

technology.

Sample the soil, atmosphere and oceans and you'll see the evidence of our pollution.

See the Earth at night and the cities glow with illumination, and the whole planet blazes

in the radio spectrum from our communications system.

Technosignatures could include similar structures and pollution on other worlds, but also the

kinds of technologies that we don't have yet.

Powerful lasers communicating between star systems or as a propulsion system, the waste

heat generated by megastructures like Dyson Spheres, or even more exotic technologies

that we don't understand yet.

Let's look at some specific kinds of technosignatures:

The gold standard has always been radio technosignatures, messages transmitted by aliens in the radio

portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.

These are ideal because an extremely narrowband radio signal can only come from an artificial

source.

The Sun is emitting photons across the radio spectrum, but if you saw a signal that was

in a very specific frequency, it would immediately tell you that an intelligent civilization

was emitting it.

Furthermore, once you've scanned all the stars at a given frequency, you can rule that

frequency out and move onto the next one.

The problem with radio emissions, however, is that humans generate enormous amounts of

radio transmissions.

You might be using a radio transmission to watch this video right now.

So there are a tremendous amount of false signals and noise to comb through.

The famous WOW signal, for example, was seen only a single time and never again, and could

have been a radio signal bouncing off a piece of space junk.

The search space for radio transmissions is enormous, which you consider the different

power of transmitters aliens could be using, the frequencies, how much information they're

sending, in which directions, and if that data is polarized or modulated.

In fact, researchers estimated that SETI has scanned about a million trillionths of the

places they could look.

Of course, as Jill Tarter says, "you don't need to search all the world's oceans to

find a fish"

Sensitive wide-field, broadband surveys like the Allen Array are already operational, and

future surveys should speed up the process.

Instead of looking for radio emissions, we could also be looking for optical and near-infrared

lasers.

We could be seeing their attempted communications or use of lasers for interplanetary and interstellar

spacecraft.

According to Andrew Howard, one of the participants at the workshop, if alien civilizations were

sending out repeating short laser pulses, it would be obviously from an intelligent

source.

In fact, several surveys have performed comprehensive searches of the sky, looking for these quickly

pulsing lasers, searching tens of thousands of stars without seeing any signals.

Of course, with hundreds of billions of stars in the Milky Way, we're still just scratching

the surface.

Instead of searching for aliens trying to communicate with us, we could see evidence

of aliens just going about with their lives.

Every time you use energy, and certain amount of released as heat.

More advanced civilizations will be using more energy and thus generating more heat.

Imagine a Dyson Sphere megastructure, where an advanced civilization is using all the

energy from its star.

This would generate an enormous amount of waste heat that would create a very unusual

infrared signature in the sky.

The Technosignatures report suggests searching the sky for objects blazing in the infrared

in a temperature range of 100 - 300 Kelvin.

You could see individual Dyson spheres here in the galaxy, or entire galaxies which have

been harnessed by an advanced civilization - this is known as a Type III civilization

in the Kardashev scale.

But even a megastructure that only partly obscures its star would give off a clear signal.

When the megastructure passes in front of its star - or transits - the drop in light

could be detectable.

In fact, NASA's Kepler Space Telescope was the perfect megastructure finding mission,

in addition to its actual job of finding planets through their transits.

However, over the course of 200,000 stars that Kepler observed, it didn't see any

evidence of artificial transits.

Instead of searching the galaxy for evidence of aliens, we might want to scan our own Solar

System instead.

The discovery of the interstellar asteroid Oumuamua demonstrated that rocks can make

the journey from star to star, so it's not impossible for an alien civilization to send

their probes to other stars like our Sun.

The surfaces of most worlds in the Solar System have been scanned down to the kilometer resolution

or so, and nothing has been found, but smaller objects could be there on the surface of Europa,

or Titan, or Mercury.

And interplanetary space itself is enormous, there are almost limitless places in the Solar

System where a probe could be hiding.

This is the state of the search for technosignatures today.

But the technology is increasing at a rapid rate, with new observatories and techniques

coming online.

What future ways could we search for evidence of aliens out there?

I'll get to that in a second, but first I'd like to thank:

John Edward Hunnell John Head

Sebas1509 John Ellis Douglas

Jeffrey Marraccini Andrej Holubek

Daniel Deprima Cyril Perlitschke

And the rest of our 794 patrons for their generous support.

If you love what we're doing and want to get in on the action, head over to patreon.com/universetoday.

Our tools for examining the Universe are getting so much better.

New missions, new telescopes and powerful computers to help crunch all the data.

What new ideas are there to search technosignatures?

Instead of searching for a beamed transmission intended for us, could we detect the leaked

information from a civilization?

Their version of radio and television transmissions.

Could we detect alien sitcoms?

The most powerful radio telescopes on Earth couldn't detect anything for more than a

couple of light-years away, but the Square Kilometer Array could do the trick.

This is an enormous radio telescope under development in Australia and South Africa.

Once complete in 2030, the full array will be capable of detecting radio leakage from

a civilization like Earth at interstellar distances.

Another method of detecting aliens could come from their impact on the atmosphere of their

planet.

Measure the Earth's atmosphere and you'd find the industrial pollutants like the ozone

layer-damaging chlorofluorocarbons.

When the James Webb Space Telescope comes online, I think in the year 3000, it will

be sensitive enough to spot several pollutants in the atmospheres of exoplanets with just

2 days of observations.

James Webb is going to be busy, but I'm sure astronomers will be directing it at all

the Earth-sized worlds turned up by TESS and other exoplanet surveys.

Might as well check.

Here on Earth our populations are clustered up into cities, which give off a large amount

of infrared radiation.

These are known as "heat islands", and a sensitive enough infrared telescope could

detect these heat spots on other planets.

Although there are natural sources of heat, like from forest fires and volcanoes, waste

energy gives off a very specific wavelength of infrared radiation.

The technosignatures workshop also proposed that light pollution could be detectable,

because it would be directed in the opposite direction of the star.

In other words, they turn on their lights at night.

It might even be possible to see worlds undergoing some kind of climate crisis, nuclear apocalypse

or in the midst of a massive geoengineering project to remake their planet by searching

for signs that the planet is out of balance.

In order to search for these technosignatures, the attendees recommended that scientists

undertake new surveys with the best ground and space-based telescopes on hand, pushing

these instruments to their limits.

Groundbreaking new instruments like the 39-meter Extremely Large Telescope, James Webb and

the Square Kilometer Array will push our capabilities even further.

They suggested new instruments be developed capable of directly imagine Earth-sized planets

around sunlike stars, as well as more sensitive infrared capabilities.

Highly sensitive photometry will help see transiting megastructures at greater distances,

and infrared photometry will give us the ability to detect climate changes.

One proposed telescope called the Exo-Life Finder, would consist of 9-25 huge telescopes

arranged in a ring.

It would be sensitive enough to see continents and oceans on an Earth-sized world light-years

away.

Our ability to detect alien civilizations is getting better and better every day.

Whether they intend to communicate with us, or we just detect them through their impact

on their local environment, the hunt is on.

Some day I hope we'll get an answer to that big question, are we alone in the Universe?

5 Essential SEO Programs for 2019 - Duration: 17:43.

hi everybody I'm John Lincoln with ignite visibility and today I'm gonna

talk to you about what you need to know for search engine optimization in 2019

and I should know a thing or two about it because I was search marketer of the

year and in addition my company is the number one ranked SEO company on

Klitchko the most credible b2b review site within our industry so today I'm

just gonna tell you a little bit about the things that you need to be focusing

on for search engine optimization as we go into 2019

okay so in this video I'm gonna break down search engine optimization by

different types of websites I think that that's a really common misconception in

a lot of cases when it comes to search engine optimization that it's a

one-size-fits-all solution that is absolutely not the case so when it comes

to search engine optimization there are actually five different types of website

programs that you need to be aware of so the first one is local the second one

would be news the third one would be Commerce and then the fourth one is

branding and then the fifth one is FAQ or just a general information site for

all of those different types of websites there are different programs that are

associated with them and if you don't implement the right program for the

right site you're gonna have pretty bad results okay so the first one I'd like

to talk about is local so local SEO and it's basically built for businesses that

have different locations so every single business generally has a location but in

some cases they don't let people come in to their locations so if you have a

location you don't let people come into your location that is you know not

something that you're not gonna push local SEO really hard but if you're a

multi location business and we have a lot of clients that are multi location

businesses here then you are going to want to do local SEO so you might have

five locations ten locations I've worked with businesses that have as many as

10,000 locations right across the United States or across the globe so when it

comes to this type of program for search engine optimization is very very

different completely different than an e-commerce site so here's how it works

basically within the local rankings you're gonna see ads at the top then

you're gonna see the maps the maps is something that you want to rank inside

of and there's specific criteria for that then you're gonna see the HTML

listings and within the HTML right there you're gonna have the opportunity for

your own website to rank but then in addition for that you're gonna have the

opportunity for different profiles to rank specifically around your brand name

right so if somebody Google's your brand name you're gonna come up and you're

gonna want to own that whole area from that local perspective in whatever city

that you're in and you're also going to want to have that age

I'll page and your map listing your Google my business listing show up

around general terms when people search for those as well so a program for local

SEO usually looks like something like a local directory website where they're

going to be submitting your your information to all these local directory

sites so you would use something like uber all you would use something like

yext you would use something like Moz local those are some of the biggest in

addition to that you're creating a URL you're adding content to those pages

you're refreshing those pages you're optimizing each one of those location

pages for usually three keywords you're doing that across a mass scale and then

in addition to that you're doing some kind of link building and general SEO

for some of the top terms that you're also going after so you're gonna have

your national terms and those are gonna be the ones that you're trying to get

the main kind of general domain rank for and then you're gonna have your local

terms so usually a local based site will be broken down by kind of top-level

national terms down to the state level terms the city level terms and then all

the way down to your multi location business terms so what you need to do is

you need to put in place a program for a local listing service and then in

addition to that you want to put in place a program so that you're

refreshing content you're adding new content you're building up credibility

and in addition to that you're doing things like thought leadership studies

you're doing things like creative campaigns to drive links back to your

site and to get kind of a social media buzz going as well all of those things

working together are gonna be really important but generally a baseline

program just looks like are things technically correct are you adding

content on a regular basis are you doing content marketing do you have a

quarterly kind of social media marketing campaign strategy are you doing thought

leadership are you doing link building on the national level and if you can do

all those things together and put that into a great quarterly plan then you're

gonna have a lot of success with your multi-location business and your in your

local SEO now I can go way more down into specifics into how you can actually

optimize the Google my business page how you can optimize a Yelp page to show up

inside of Google or so you can show up higher and Yelp but I'll save that for

another video that local SEO if you're a local business should definitely be

something on your radar for this year okay so the next one I'd like to get

into is ecommerce so ecommerce is completely

different than local SEO when it comes to e-commerce it's done in a different

way and here's why because you start with your top-level categories then you

go down into your sub your sub and then your sub right so you might have an

e-commerce optimization that could be all the way down to four levels deep and

if that's the case that's much different than how you would approach something on

the local SEO basis in addition to that for for local SEO or for new sites

you're going to be writing much longer pieces of content and those longer

pieces of content are going to be living on the blog or they'll be living on the

service pages when it comes to e-commerce that's not the case when it

comes to e-commerce you're going to be just writing a couple hundred words

probably putting that at the top of the e-commerce category page optimizing a

thumbnail up there and then having anywhere from 30 plus products that show

up on that page that are not you know part of Ajax but actually shown in the

HTML so it matters the type of web technology that you deliver your your

elements and when it comes to e-commerce a lot of people try to deliver their

their products within ecommerce through Ajax or JavaScript and Google can't pick

them up so that's really important but making sure you have good clean

optimizations you are refreshing content you are building out hubs but not too

much content on those category pages and making sure you have something called a

dynamic optimization on every single level that is very deliberate and makes

it clear exactly what keywords you're targeting at each level within that

e-commerce optimization that's really really important in addition to that

ecommerce once you've kind of got everything set up it comes down to

getting more reviews for for more content

refreshing content doing content marketing and then putting in place a

link building program and a program to get buzz so you're seeing some kind of

similarities there you always want to have link building you always want to

have a program to get buzz if you can do thought leadership you know things to

get people to come to your site even without the SEO that actually helps the

SEO in addition to that so those are some things to think about when it comes

to e-commerce and there's a lot more that goes into that type of business as

far as conversion rate optimisation but at the end of

day making sure every single category is deliberately optimized you've got great

product lit up today ssin in place and then in addition to that watching for

those technical issues that come up so much any commerce which are things like

duplicate content you know just random URLs that that kind

of cannibalize your rankings in other places so those are other things you're

gonna have to watch out for as well as watching out for creating content that

competes with your other categories so keep an eye out for that okay so now I'm

getting into news sites of news sites you know really the name of the game

with news sites is is is this basically determining what are the terms that

you're gonna be targeting right so if you having a clear roadmap or these are

you know hundred terms that we want to target this month and and and then going

after those terms and writing pieces of content that are usually 1,000 words or

more you know sometimes to three thousand words the longer the better

chance usually you have to rank in Google and then just cranking that out

right so developing a list of here's a hundred terms and these are you know the

100 we're going after this month these are the 100 we're going after this month

these are the 100 going after this month and then making sure that if you're

going after a term you haven't already written on it because if you've already

written on it it's better to go back and refresh those pages so for some of our

news sites we are refreshing hundreds of pages of content a month and when you

refresh hundreds of old pages of content a month that reoptimize them brings them

back to the top they start ranking you see this big jump in traffic so

absolutely love working on new sites I believe that they're the simplest out of

out of those different types of business models that we're discussing today so

really it's just a matter of what new terms are you're targeting what old

pages are you refreshing and and that's just on the article level and then the

other step is on the category level making sure that the categories do not

compete with the new content that you're creating so what are you optimizing your

category pages for and what are you optimizing the new content for in

addition to that of course you want to have a link building strategy you want

to be doing studies and creative things and building up your social all of that

stuff kind of works together within that ecosystem but generally for news sites

being very deliberate and the things that I just discussed

because I can't tell you how many new sites that that I've seen they don't

really think about actually what the SEO strategy is and have a clear segmented

approach across the website for exactly what they're targeting in addition to

that creating a good internal linking strategy and having a clear hierarchy of

internal linking within the site so you know you're linking to your most

important pages because you want these 100 pages to rank for these 100 terms

finally and this is actually true with all of the different ones but making

sure that if you have these 100 pages that are driving the bulk of the revenue

and in traffic or leads in traffic or it could be 10 pages whatever your top

money pages are focusing more on those with content focusing more on those with

links focusing more on those for user experience that's what makes the really

big difference right and so in many cases we try to update those pages and

make those better on a monthly basis if you can do that then they're always

gonna be getting better and better and better and you're gonna have good

visibility on them so for news sites the only other thing that I would mention

that can be really good is having an outreach linking program a lot of these

new sites think that they don't need to do it but if you're linking if you're

looking to build links and you're asking for unlink mentions so if somebody

mentions your new site you ask them to link back to you if you're promoting

articles you're gonna get a lot more links through outreach than if you are

not so make sure that you take the time to at least have someone dedicating 10

to 30 hours a week right so that you are building links consistently back to your

news site okay so the last two that we have here are FAQ sites and then in

addition to that we have branding sites and and FAQ sites when I say that you

know think of like Intuit for an example they have a lot of different forums on

how to use things so usually when you're looking at a type of forum optimization

there's a lot that can go wrong there you can have too much than content

Google doesn't rank anything you can have a lot of duplicate content it's

usually site structure technical issues or you know things get out of control

you get a lot of spam those are things you really want to watch out for so when

it comes to these type of sites it's very important that you have a clear

dynamic optimization for the categories and then in addition to that you know

you're categorizing the posts into clear categories putting in place either rel

next rail probe for pagination or just rel canonical Amane page so that there's

some unique content there but generally for those type of sites like those the

FAQ s there's not a lot of emphasis that's put on SEO on the branding sites

on the other side there is a lot of emphasis that's put on SEO so think of

your a big jewelry company but maybe you don't sell direct from your website and

you just want a great site for branding and I've worked on a couple of these you

know you're going to be trying to rank rank for these top big terms right so if

that's the case you're gonna approach that much like you would any other type

of SEO programs all these other ones what's that main page that you're really

trying to determine is the one that you want to rank making sure that you're

refreshing that on a monthly basis making sure you have long-form content

on that page updated facts and figures making sure that you have a link

building program that's very good for that page

that you have people visiting this page for a reason and in general that you're

kind of putting it front and center in your internal linking strategy your

website your social sharing and all those things together that's gonna help

that rank better so those are a couple things to keep in mind when it comes to

branding sites and FA cues and I won't go over all the other stuff because I

just touched on a lot of it already and it gets a little redundant okay so

summing it up where's the top things for SEO when it comes to 2019 so here's the

thing I only win over the basics and but let's

start with the basics and then we'll get a little bit more advanced okay so so it

basics the main things you need to think about are a good link building program

and a good content program so content for your top pages and then also content

for your content marketing those type of those two things together if you're

always adding more content you're always improving your pages you're always

building links you are going to see success the other element is that you

will not see success if you have technical issues so also monitoring your

website from a technical perspective on a monthly basis to make sure things

don't break make sure the websites not not blocked making sure that there's not

duplicate content and again that's really big for for larger size

that are custom-built or they're on CMS's that have common problems but

there's other things to look out for so there's also amp right so amp pages are

these really really fast pages that you can create that show up in mobile and

that's something that there's a pen a lot of discussion around Google said

come out you have to make these accelerated mobile pages and then what

happened is they said oh we kind of figured it out now they're they're not

really as important as they were and also we saw a lot of people who push

them live have conversion issues so amp still important but something that maybe

could be going away in the next couple years

not sure something you're gonna have to keep an eye on next thing Google

discover Google discover is the new way within a phone where information just

gets pushed to you if you kind of swipe to the side on an Android so information

will get pushed to you different articles if you can show up inside of

google it discover this year you are going to get in front of 800 million

people a month in an entirely new feed from a phone and there's a whole nother

video that I did on that which you can check out but really it's just a matter

of people interacting with your content in addition to that you know there's

other interesting things that are coming out really watch your Ajax in your

JavaScript so Google came out with new recommendations and they basically said

that you must have an HTML base for all of your content if you want to rank well

so that's new documentation that came out for Google and something that that's

been a big issue we've seen a lot of sites take nosedives because they tried

to go to Ajax heavy and Google wasn't able to pick it up another thing have a

great user experience so important that people actually want to use your site

and interact with it next take the time to go back and rewrite your titles and

meta descriptions if you can do that that's going to bring a lot more

click-through rates to your site and you're going to be able to get more

traffic for the real estate that you already have out there so rewrite your

titles and descriptions and if you go inside a Google search console you can

see what your click-through rates are right now and see if you can improve

those really really important ones so you know even this year think about

going back and finding your 300 lowest click-through rates and rewriting every

single one of those next try an SEO test so an SEO test would be if you find a

specific segment of your website so maybe just a series of subcategories and

in increasing the amount of content on those pages the amount of reviews on

those pages trying to put an optimized image in place putting rich snippet on

that page with with review markup so that you get stars changing the title

and description and then rolling that out across those pages if it increases

click-through rates rolling it out across the entire website that's another

great thing that you should be doing this year so make sure you have some SEO

testing as part of what you're doing so I could go on and on about all the new

stuff with search engine optimization I could talk to you about Google stories I

could talk to you about little technical elements I'm not going to do that I just

want to sum this up for you right now because at the end of the day the most

important thing is great content and links right and then also creating a

buzz about your company right through good general marketing don't only do SEO

and then finally being technically correct so those are the main things

that you need to do to win in 2019 so think about what's the program to add a

ton of content to your site refresh old content build links every single month

monitor your website to make sure is technically correct every month and then

run a really great marketing campaign every quarter so there's always

something new that people are talking about so that's it

for SEO in 2019 today hope you enjoyed it if you did make sure to LIKE comment

and subscribe I would really appreciate it ask any questions and I'll make sure

to respond to you thanks so much have a great day

The Biggest Hidden Threat to Apple: Tencent's WeChat - Duration: 5:01.

Chris Hill: I think we have to talk about Apple.

Shares of Apple falling 10% on Thursday after CEO Tim Cook warned investors first quarter

revenue was going to be about $5-$8 billion lower than previously expected.

Several reasons for that, Matty.

The trade war in China, the economic slowdown in China, the battery replacement program

that they had last fall. This was still pretty shocking development.

Matt Argersinger: Lots of moving parts, but you're right. This was pretty bad.

If you look back to their guidance in early November, looking for between $89-$93 billion in revenue.

To come in, then, at $84 billion, $5 billion below the low end of your guided range, that's a problem.

CEO Tim Cook said that really 100% of the miss was due to China and a contraction in

the smartphone market there. That's a good excuse. It's probably the right excuse.

Investors have been questioning whether or not the iPhone, especially the latest versions

of the iPhones with the high price tags, could really penetrate the highly competitive

smartphone market in China.

I think we're starting to see the fact that no, that's not really the case.

Aaron Bush: I don't think it's that surprising, actually, that Apple has China issues.

I was just thinking back, four years ago, when Matt and I were talking about China in

the context of our Supernova portfolio, talking about opportunities and concerns,

China was a big thing we were talking about.

At the time, we realized that China is a big opportunity simply because how many people

are in that country, but we didn't necessarily expect it to play out the same way as it did in the U.S.

Since then, the stock is about roughly flat with the market, which is interesting.

I think we started to see the cracks in the foundation about two years ago.

About that time is when I started studying Tencent, which owns WeChat.

It made me realize that iOS is far less important in China because WeChat is an in-app operating

system that people do everything in.

So, the same type of competitive advantage that Apple would have in the U.S. with iMessage,

Notes, various services, that doesn't exist in China.

It showed in the data.

At the time, the retention rate, people who would have an iPhone that would buy another

iPhone, outside of China it was over 80%. In China, it was 50%, which is essentially a coin flip.

I think now, because of the economic turbulence that's starting to happen, trade wars, slowdown,

we're starting to see that play out at an accelerated rate.

People who would be the Apple buyers either already own them or did own them.

Upgrade cycles are longer, and retention is still sub-optimal.

Apple just has mediocre market share, and I think that's not necessarily going to change.

Argersinger: I agree.

As long as the iPhone is such a large part of Apple's core business, they can talk about

Services all they want, but this is still a product that's about 70% of revenue and

the majority of operating profits. Now, I will say this, because we're positive people here at The Fool.

Coming into this report, Apple was already down about 40% from its high.

Granted, it had a horrible day this week that took it down even further.

But even at the reduced earnings estimates now, you're looking at a stock that's only

trading about 11X-12X earnings. Certainly below the average market multiple.

Now, if earnings come down further, the stock could certainly follow suit.

But it's hard not to call it cheap right now.

Hill: That's the thing.

Tim Cook talked about how he hadn't seen the December numbers, therefore there's no way

he's seen the January numbers, because they're not in yet.

Their first quarter report comes out in early February.

If you're looking at this stock, and you're thinking, "Boy, it looks cheap," do you buy here?

Or you want to see what the actual numbers are before you put down a little money to

buy some stock? Bush: Oh, I don't know.

It sounds like another coin flip to me. We don't really know.

I do think that the valuation is somewhat compelling.

You're betting that iPhone sales stabilize, and you're betting that the Services segment

can become much more than 15% of revenue, which it is now.

I think that most people think that is the case. Or, at least around here, that's the bullish stance.

Personally, I have some more questions.

When you have a monopoly taking 30% of every single transaction that goes on your ecosystem,

regulatory issues will one day be a concern.

The same thing that we've seen with Alphabet, the same thing we see with Facebook.

One day, those same headlines are going to be going on with Apple, too.

And then the Services narrative will slowly not seem so amazing anymore.

Manufacturing in China is Slowing Down, But is That a Good Thing? - Duration: 3:22.

Chris Hill: Let's get to the market. Market down.

There's very little news, and what news we have is not encouraging on a macro level,

and that's from China and the monthly report, in terms of factory activity in China. Not great.

Factory activity in China for the month of December shrank.

It's the first time since mid-2017 that that's happened.

Seth Jayson: Yeah.

And if it were just China, you could say,

"Oh, boy, the President sure is sticking it to the Chinese! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!"

But it's actually a whole bunch of the manufacturing countries over in Asia.

Korea somehow going the other direction, for now, anyway. South Korea.

North Korea, I'm pretty sure the manufacturing is still probably lousy.

It looks a little bit more broad-based than just a China problem.

Of course, the culprit is probably fears about global trade wars, tariffs everywhere.

If we're going to do politics and policy by always being angry at stuff coming from somewhere else,

people are getting afraid.

At the same time, there were some slowdowns in Europe, also.

Italy moving in the opposite direction. These are not good things.

If you see these indices down, probably a prediction that some companies are really

starting to wonder about demand over the next few months, and they're pulling back a bit. Not good.

Hill: Definitely not good. It reminds me of Fred Smith, CEO of FedEx, a couple of weeks ago --

Jayson: There was that. I was still here for that.

People were surprised.

Hill: Fred Smith was pretty pointed in his remarks about politicians around the world.

You've touched on this, it really points to the level of uncertainty that large companies,

and by ripple effect, medium and small companies have with respect to a lot of different things.

Not just, what's the state of trade between the U.S. and China?

But also, in terms of planning that large companies can do around manufacturing,

what can they be certain of? When you're doing your budgeting 12 to 24 months out --

Jayson: Or further, in the case of capacity increases that you're investing in.

Yeah, this is all scary. It has a ripple effect.

And then, of course, you've got the ripple effect of a stock market that suddenly drops

into freefall at the end of the year.

Maybe deservedly so.

There were some nosebleed valuations on a lot of stocks.

These are normal, but they freak people out.

And when people get freaked out, they tend to fold their wallets up and keep them in their pocket.

That pulls the demand back, and a freak out over nothing can turn into an actual something,

and then you really need to freak out.

✅ FREE Game - What Remains Of Edith Finch - Duration: 2:32.

Hello and welcome to low budget gaming and welcome to another free game

as I mentioned a couple of days ago epic game store is offering what remains of

Edith Finch free from today 10th of January to the 24th of January so you

need to do to claim this is login to your epic account either on your browser

or through the launcher I'm doing this through the launchers all you need to do

is click on the game here it says free just click on this and they'll take you

to the checkout and you should be able to add it so here we are

place order and should be done

that's it game is now in the library where is it here so yeah also I wanted

to briefly talk about the division 2 so this has been the news recently it's not

coming on Steam the division 2 but it's coming on the epic store its here as you

can see and also on Uplay obviously

Interesting thing I've noted is it is $41.99 here $42 if I'm not mistaken the first game

was $50 on Steam so they're giving a slight discount this is what I was

discussing earlier in my stream because I said if they want people to go to the

other platform they'll have to give a bit of a discount to the customer as

well and they are doing that it seems so interesting move here I'm not sure if

they are planning to put all their games here or if they are just testing the

waters with the division 2 because they're giving away the division it

seems quite readily because I saw the AMD conference yesterday and they were

handing it out to everyone who was attending that they're also giving away

the division 2 with all the Radeon graphics cards pretty much 570, 580, 590

anything higher than that and also with the select Ryzen 5 processors it's quite

interesting we'll have to see what they do with their next game because the Far

Cry game Far Cry new dawn I think it is I'm not confident they'll put it on the

epic game store I have a feeling this is a test to see how well the sells on the

epic game store and if it doesn't do well they might put the Far Cry game on

Steam again interesting move but anyway make sure you get what remains

immediate Finch and thank you for watching see you in the next one
