Youtube daily Jan 30 2017

Over the past weekend Donald Trump made an unprecedented move by demoting and firing

members of the National Security Council and in their place promoting top advisor Steve

Bannon to essentially run the National Security Council.

Steve Bannon, a white nationalist, a man who has given a voice to white nationalists and

white supremacists all over this country, a man who sympathizes with people who believe

that being white means being better, is now essentially in charge of national security

for these United States.

If you don't see why that's a problem then you are beyond help at this point.

Steve Bannon hates people who are not white.

He hates people who do not subscribe to the same religion as him.

Donald Trump being the brain dead president that he is decided to give Bannon this ultimate

power.

It makes you question who's really in charge here because it is clearly not Donald Trump.

If he really wanted to make America safe again he would have appointed a general, somebody

who has spent their entire lives in the military, who understands military policy and military

action and military restraint.

That's the kind of person he would have put there, not a guy who spent a couple years

in the navy and then went off to run one of the worst fake news organizations in this

country, because that's what Steve Bannon is.

In the past this position that Bannon now holds has been reserved for some of the best

generals and military officers in this country, not people like Steve Bannon.

Not people who think that you're not okay if you're not white.

That's what's setting the policy right now in the United States, both domestic and foreign,

a white nationalist.

It's not President Trump, it's President Bannon.

That's what we need to be concerned about.

Steve Bannon is an extremist in every sense of the word.

Not just on racial matters but on conservative matters.

He is as far to the right as you can get.

He believes in these made up conspiracy theories like Pizzagate.

Now he's in charge of our national security.

Steve Bannon is the guy that's going to keep us all safe.

I can tell you as somebody who is a part of the progressive media machine, I do not feel

safer.

In fact I feel more like a target today than I did last week.

Steve Bannon is a national security disaster waiting to happen.

A thermonuclear disaster waiting, because that's what we're looking at here now.

We've seen other countries this past weekend launch nuclear capable missiles as a show

of force.

No warheads on them but they're capable of holding nuclear warheads.

Just to show the United States that they're not playing around.

You think Steve Bannon is going to keep us safe from that?

When other countries are firing pretend nukes just to see if they can get us?

We have very real problems in this world right now, and a lot of them are because of Donald

Trump's actions.

Steve Bannon is not the kind of guy that's going to keep us safe.

He's not the kind of guy that's going to let us rest easy at night, knowing that we're

not going to wake up in a war zone.

In fact it's the exact opposite.

Steve Bannon is a danger to the United States and Donald Trump just can't stop from giving

him more power.

Honey...

you'll never believe what happened to me today.

So, gentlemen, that's how it is. Until Grissom resurfaces...

I'm the acting president.

And I say, starting with this anniversary festival...

we run this city into the ground.

Why don't we hear this from Grissom?

Yeah.

And what's with that stupid grin?

Life's been good to me.

What if we say "no"?

Well, Tony...

nobody wants a war.

If we can't do business, we'll just shake hands and that'll be it.

Yeah?

Yeah

I got a live one here.

There'll be a hot time in the old town tonight

Antoine got a little hot under the collar.

You're crazy.

Haven't you ever heard of the healing power of laughter?

- Now get out of here! - You heard him. Let's go! Move it!

You think it over.

Let's go, come on. Get out of here.

Move it!

Bob

I want you to go down to the Globe, follow that reporter Knox.

Take your camera.

See what he knows about this Batman.

And, Bob...

remember, you...

are my number one guy.

Yes, sir.

Your pals...

they're not bad people.

Maybe we...

ought to give them a couple of days to think it over.

No?

Grease them now?

Okay.

You are a vicious bastard, Rotelli.

I'm glad you're dead.

I'm glad you're dead.

I'm glad he's dead.

5 Beginner Triathlon Don'ts and 5 Beginner Triathlete Do's - Duration: 7:26.

What's up triathletes, Taren here.

If you've got one of your first few races coming up, stick around because today I'm

going to give you five do's and five don'ts that you should be doing and don'ting in triathlon

races.

The first do is to warm up and how you do this is by going in reverse order of the race.

Start with a small run, a small bike and a small swim.

You don't really want to be tiring yourself out in these warmups.

You basically just want to get to the point of doing maybe 20 to 30-second strides, sprints,

intervals, whatever you want to call it, at race pace.

By the time the race comes around you want to have opened up your lungs and your heart

so that you're ready to move at your race pace.

If you can't get into the water, bring some stretchy cords and make sure that you can

move your arms in the fashion that you would once you get out into the swim.

The second do is that you should be sighting the swim course.

Assuming that you can get into the water, go out and do a light swim and go to the corners

of the buoys and the turns in the water and look onshore and look for tree lines that

you can use to sight because it's going to be really hard to spot those buoys and you

don't want to be forced to follow nothing but tows.

As we know from previous videos, there's some dumb tows out there.

Make sure that you have a sight line that's higher up above the water that you can see

without any trouble.

The third do is to in transition one, make sure that you put on and clip in your helmet

before you even touch your bike.

Then in transition two, make sure you rack your bike before unclipping your helmet.

Very, very big issues with this.

Don't go getting yourself a penalty just by taking on or putting on, putting off, taking

on or putting off your helmet before or after you should be.

The fourth do is to go through transition one and transition two from the entrance to

the exit, marking exactly where your transition zone is before the race.

You want to go in to each transition knowing where the entrance and the exit are, what

your route is going to be, and make sure that you count which rack and how far down it is.

I myself once misplaced my bike and lost about 20 seconds in a race.

Don't be like me.

Make sure you know exactly where you're going into, out of, and finding your bike.

The fifth do is to take in moderate amounts of carb.

Moderate being the key term.

Do not load up on carbs and Gatorade and electrolyte drinks and water and fluid and all this stuff

throughout the race.

If your body hasn't been trained to handle a huge amount of food going into your gut,

guess what?

You're not going to be able to process all that food and carbs and electrolytes going

into your gut.

Be very moderate.

We're going to get into that right meow.

I'm sorry, are you saying meow?

Now the first don't is to don't carb load immensely.

Assuming that your first few races are going to be sprints and Olympics, you don't need

to be lap, lapping in?

You don't need to be just piling on the carbs for days on end and having huge dinners and

huge breakfasts before the race.

If anything, just have maybe 20% to 30% more carbs and calories in the day before, if anything,

it doesn't need to be a whole lot more, and then have a light carb-based breakfast.

I will link a video up here to where you can find a 24-hour plan leading into your first

race.

Now, the second don't relates to the do number five.

It's to don't, how do I word this?

It's to don't pile on as many carbs as you possibly can during the race.

A really good rule of thumb is to have anywhere between about 20 and 30 grams of carbs every

half hour plus a light electrolyte drink.

Just that alone is more than enough for most races, especially your first couple which

are probably a sprint or an Olympic, so you don't need tons of calories for these types

of events.

Having too much in your stomach, especially while all the blood is in your arms and your

legs, raise my legs here, and not in your stomach, it's going to be really hard for

your body to digest whatever you put in your stomach so you got to err on the side of caution.

The third don't is to don't go all out in the race.

Ease yourself back.

It's a long day.

Typically, successful races are done not by the person that goes the fastest, but by the

person that slows down the least.

If you're going all out on the swim, you're going to be cooked for the bike.

If you go all out on the bike, your legs are going to hate you on the run.

If you go all out in the first little bit of the run, you got a long way to go and I

can almost guarantee that you're going to get some cramps.

Think about going 80% to 85% of your max throughout the duration of a race.

Once you start gaining more fitness, gaining more confidence, knowing your pacing a little

bit better, then you can start pushing the efforts, but in the first few races where

you're just getting yourself comfortable, don't go all out.

The fourth don't is to don't plan your transition one and transition twos to be a big pit stop.

Essentially a good rule of thumb to think about how much crap you should be putting

into your transition and how much you should be preparing to change over from one sport

to the next in transition is if you can't do one of the things that you want to do in

transition within the first little bit of the bike or the first little bit of the run,

you're probably doing too much.

For instance, you probably can't put on really big compression socks in the first kilometer

of the run because you're running, so you know what?

Don't put on compression socks in transition.

If you can't have a big meal in the first kilometer of the run or the bike, don't plan

to have a big meal on a bunch of calories while you're in transition.

You've always got to be thinking very minimally in transition to have a fast transition and

make sure that you're not doing too much and over-complicating the race, losing time.

Think to yourself, losing my notes, losing my phone, so think to yourself what is the

least amount that I can do in transition and in the first little bit of the bike or the

run to get me through that next leg of the race?

If you think minimally, probably going to do a lot better getting in and out of transition

quicker.

The fifth biggest, baddest and best don't that you should not, absolutely not ever be

doing, even in my case where I'm very comfortable in the swim, is to start in the middle of

the swim pack if you're worried about getting knocked around.

For years and years, even though I was one of the faster swimmers, I would end up going

off to the side of the swim pack because I didn't want to be knocked around in that chaos

of the first few seconds of the swim.

I'd let all the goofs that are really just throw the elbows and the feet, sort it all

out amongst themselves in the middle, I'd swim up in front of them and get away from

all that crap.

If you can't swim up in front of all that crap, stay behind all that crap, off to the

side.

You're going to have a much better and probably a much faster race if you can maintain calmness

in the water.

The last thing you want to be doing is raising your heart in the first few minutes of the

race, getting a race plan knocked out of gear because maybe you got kicked in the face,

or kicked in the stomach or elbowed in the jaw.

This is all a part of going through the churn, and if you can keep yourself out of that you're

going to be much happier.

There you have it, triathletes.

I'm sure there are a lot of first races coming up over the next few months, so I hope this

helps.

As always, if you've got any questions or comments about this, hit me up in the comments

below or on social media.

Happy and hard training, triathletes, and good luck in your next triathlon.

How My Cat Overcame Loneliness and Fell In Love Again (Sponsored by PawCulture) - Duration: 6:53.

Hi, everybody, this is Robin from Playful Kitty and I'm here today with a stripped down

video that you are not going to want to miss.

This is very personal story to me about cats and loneliness, and it's sponsored by PawCulture.

Stay tuned!

PlayfulKitty.net

Finding out that Cinco had cancer last April really knocked the wind out of me.

To make a long story short, I knew that because I loved him so much I couldn't just keep this

grip on his life.

I had to love him enough to let go.

And that's always a really hard thing to do.

But, um, the end of his story was really just the end of a chapter in my story and a new chapter

was about ready to begin.

Coming home with the empty carrier was probably one of the hardest things that I've had to

do in a long time.

But, I think, what was even harder yet was seeing Manna when I came home with that empty

carrier.

Manna has been with us since she was 3.5 weeks old.

She was an abandoned kitten that my dad found in a trailer park and we took her in right

away.

She's always had Cinco as a part of her life.

Always had us as a part of her life.

She's never been an only kitty.

And, it was hard to watch her realizing what was going on.

But, it was also necessary to give her an opportunity to grieve.

It was a shock to all of us and if I had had any other choice, believe me, I would have

taken it.

Um, but that was it.

And, um, I'm sorry, I'm such an emotional person.

But, um, Manna would look around and she would check all Cinco's hiding places and she'd

just be looking at them and just meowing and milling around.

I would know what she's thinking and what she's going through just wondering where he

went and why he isn't coming back. And it's hard because you can't explain it to a cat.

You can't, you can't just say "well this is what happened, he passed away, it was the

best thing to do and it was merciful.

And, um, we're all going to be okay.

Everything is alright."

Um, cats don't understand that.

You just kind of have to watch them go through it.

And that's hard.

Um, I didn't want to rush things because, like I said, I wanted her to have an opportunity

to grieve.

That's only fair.

And I needed an opportunity to grieve too.

I decided I was just going to try and play with her more.

I was going to give her more attention.

I was going to spend more time intently upon her.

You can see the pictures that we took for Niptoons and some other funny cat pictures

that were a part of that time between May and June on PlayfulKitty.net, our blog.

I realized, as time went, that what she really needed, what she really wanted was another

cat.

That me playing with her was only so good.

I knew she needed another cat.

And so, I started searching for one right away.

I was really really hoping that I would find a good match that would be a good playmate for Manna

and I wouldn't have to watch her go through this loneliness anymore.

I had a friend who had a cat that had kittens and he was quite desperate to have those kittens

adopted out because he was very very ill.

I went over there with my carrier and I started playing with the kittens.

And Dexter crawled into the carrier and he wouldn't get out of the carrier again.

And so we decided, well, this cat has chosen us.

And indeed he did.

We brought him home and we introduced him to Manna pretty much right away just to see

how she would respond.

Um, and she didn't really respond at all.

She didn't know what to think.

It was a little intense at first, but it always is with cats.

They have to choose each other.

This story ends with love.

One day, I was sitting on the computer and I turned and I looked and behind me on my

recliner, Manna was there all curled up and Dexter jumped up and curled up next to her.

And she turned around and she started grooming him.

I know that not everyone would have jumped for joy at this point, but I did.

It was awesome!

And, um, I knew that at that point Manna had decided that Dexter was her kitten.

And she was falling in love.

And I have to say that they've been in love with each other ever since.

Thank you so much for watching.

We really appreciate that you took the time to hear our story.

This is Dexter by the way.

He has gotten to be a very big boy.

Jeep Wrangler Power Stop Brake Rotor & Pad Kit - Front & Rear (2007-2017 JK) Review - Duration: 5:42.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review of the Power Stop Brake Rotor

& Pad Kit, fitting all 2007 and up JKs.

This kit is available with the drilled and slotted rotors as you see here, but it's also

available with plain rotors for a few dollars less.

So it's up to you, depending on what you want on your Jeep.

Today, we are going to talk through the installation of this kit, which is going to be a very simple

one out of three wrenches, as is doing a brake job on most vehicles that have disc brakes

all the way around.

If you decide to tackle this in your driveway, you're gonna be able to get it finished in

under two hours.

We're also gonna talk through the construction and a few of the other features of this kit.

This brake rotor and pad kit is for those of you who have factory rotors and pads on

your JK and you need to swap out the brakes because they're worn out, but aren't looking

for an upgrade.

If you have factory-size tires or even slightly larger than the factory, chances are the factory

brakes are just fine for you, and you're not looking to upgrade them.

So a kit like this is going to replace them with really high-quality components that are

designed to work together and give you great gripping power.

Now, if you do decide to go with the version of these that are drilled and slotted, you

should get a little bit better performance out of them because the drilled and slotted

pattern helps to vent some of the gases away from the brake that are created during heavy

braking, which will allow, again, for more friction and a little bit better stopping

power.

This is a fairly-priced kit that includes all four of your rotors and all eight brake

pads, so it's gonna have everything you're going to need to get your brake job done.

The pads that are equipped in this kit are a ceramic pad, so they're going to do a nice

job of cutting down on brake dust, which is a nice feature.

It keeps your wheels from turning black.

But moreover, they are designed to work specifically with the premium rotors that are also included

in this kit to give you as much stopping power as is possible from a factory-style setup.

Now, if you do have big wheels and tires on your Jeep or you just want more performance,

you can always upgrade to a larger rotor, to a larger or a multiple-piston caliper.

But for a kit that is designed to work with your factory calipers with a factory-style

rotor, this is a setup that is going to give you the best possible performance out of that

factory-style setup.

As I said before, getting these installed on your Jeep is something you can do easily

in your driveway, if you choose to tackle it, and get it done in about two hours.

I'm gonna give this a very simple one out of three wrenches.

The process for getting these installed, again, is very simple.

All you'll need to do is, of course, remove your tire, then remove your caliper and caliper

bracket, and finally remove your rotor, installing your new rotor and then changing out the brake

pads in the caliper before reinstalling it on the bracket.

Now, anytime you're installing brake components, you do wanna make sure that they're nice and

clean.

These don't come with a lot of oil on them right out of the box, but you will wanna clean

them with a good cleaner that isn't going to leave any sort of residue behind, like

a good aerosol brake cleaner.

And on the contrary, you wanna make sure that you don't get any sort of contaminant on the

pads.

Now, on the pad boxes, they do give you a break-in procedure for these brakes, and it's

a good idea to follow that and follow it carefully.

That's gonna ensure that you get the best braking performance out of your new brake

setup.

And the idea behind breaking in the setup pads and rotors is to transfer some friction

material from your new pads onto your rotors, so that you're getting the best possible bite.

And the way that you do that is by heating up the pads and the rotors and then cooling

them down gradually.

The most important thing in a break-in period is that you don't come to a complete stop

for a long time with your foot on the brake with a hot rotor and a hot pad.

What that can do is create a slippery spot on your new brake rotor, which can actually

feel like a warped rotor as you're stopping because you'll get a little bit of that pulsing

feel.

So make sure you follow the break-in procedure properly, have everything cool off before

coming to a complete stop, and these brakes are gonna work really well.

All in all, I think that this is a fairly-priced kit for what you get.

Again, it's all four of your rotors, all eight of your pads, everything you need to do a

complete brake job, and they are going to work really well for you.

They're gonna give you a little bit better performance than an OEM set of brake pads

and brake rotors, and if you decide to spend about $55 more to get the drilled and slotted,

you have that look but also that additional performance.

Now, some people will say, if you're going off-road, don't get the drilled and slotted.

They're just going to hold mud.

Chances are, yes.

There's just gonna hold some mud, but it's not really going to hurt anything, either.

And when you are on the road, you may get a little bit more performance out of them,

so that's up to you if you have the extra $55.

So if you have worn-out brake rotors and pads on your JK and it's time to do a brake job,

this is a kit that gives you all the components you'll need in one box, designed to work together,

and you're gonna get a little bit better stopping power than your OE-quality components.

So that's my review of the Power Stop Brake Rotor & Pad Kit, fitting all 2007 and up JKs,

that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
